- Abstract
Using cooling pipes is a main temperature control measure for mass concrete dams during construction, the influence of the layout of cooling pipesto the internal temperature and stress of concrete is significant. In this paper, Xiajiang gravity dam was taken as an example, the ANSYS finite element model was used to analyze the influence of different layout of cooling pipes to the internal temperature and stress of concrete during the construction period of mass concrete. The results show that the way of encrypted water pipes layout can effectively improve the cooling effect of concrete, hut if the pipe spacing is too small, it will lead to greater tensile stress on the surface of concrete, resulting in cracks on the surface of concrete.
