Attracting prospective students could be difficult and expensive. Candidates, when choosing a future school for their studies, consider a great number of factors. Information from official university websites does not suffice to persuade. Word of mouth plays a significant role, among others. The aim of this paper is to present findings about important factors influencing the overall satisfaction of current students with university life as well as their willingness to share positive references. The study took place in the Czech Republic with students attending business schools at universities. Primary data was collected via an online questionnaire with students with bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees (n = 274) and in-depth interviews (n = 10). Data was processed with regression analysis and Spearman's correlation coefficient. The main findings suggest that there is a close positive correlation between students' satisfaction and the willingness to recommend the university. The quality of student life and the reputation of the school were identified as the most important factors influencing this satisfaction and willingness to recommend.

This paper sheds light on the impact of the digital platforms' enhancement and usage of latest synchronous and asynchronous teaching-learning platforms through a global virtual project involving business schools across five countries. The study focuses on how technology involved in the learning-teaching process at different business schools has affected the commitment of undergraduates and graduates in the post-COVID era. Furthermore, the paper discusses how the global virtual teams of students has increased their motivation in their studies. The paper is based on a blended learning international collaboration (BLIC) project involving 150 students participating in global virtual collaboration via different digital platforms in classes on International Management and International Business. The study results show, that with computer-supported collaborative learning, students across all involved business schools have been highly committed and motivated in conducting their assignments. The paper shows that the enhancement and utilization of digital platforms in face-to-face and online classes in International Business and International Management, within this virtual collaboration, has provided the students with new knowledge and has held motivation high throughout the project.

The article deals with the evaluation of university graduates' attitudes towards job characteristics based on their generation. Research shows that the attitudes of individuals in the labor market are currently changing. However, the question is to what extent this change is related to the entry of a new generation or to what extent generational affiliation plays a role in the different attitudes of individuals in the labor market. Therefore, the aim is to test the proposition whether the age of a graduate, respectively his / her affiliation to the generation X, Y or Z affects attitudes towards job characteristics. The partial goal of the article is to identify the main attitudes of searched generations to employment, the second partial goal is to identify attitudes to the evaluation of the benefits of university study in relation to employment. This paper evaluates data from the case study of a selected business university. The return rate of primary survey was representative for the graduates of the case university. The results obtained were statistically tested. Analysis of differences between age and selected factors was used. The analysis showed statistically significant differences between members of generation X, Y and Z in all investigated factors.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an essential part of sustainability. The CSR concept can be extended to social responsibility of organisations and personal responsibility of the citizens (Personal Social Responsibility). Extending the CSR concept requires increasing the knowledge of it. The Social Responsibility Index (SR Index), inspired by the CSR indices used to measure the performance, can be a convenient tool to educate adult population in the Lifelong Learning (LLL) process. It is essential that the index is understandable for all users. Moravian Business College Olomouc has applied andragogical approaches in an index methodology proposal -- so called SR ETA Index 2019 (hereinafter referred to as SREI). The aim of the paper is to present the SREI. Beyond the function of the measuring instrument, it can be used to educate all types of target user groups. The SREI design is based on a combination of piloting methodology and field preresearch methodology.

Article aims to analyse impact of project activities called International Business Weeks (IBW) on outgoing student mobilities at the College of Polytechnics Jihlava. The IBW network was established by University Paris 13 in France and Leuven University College in Belgium (now University College Leuven-Limbourg) 17 years ago to encourage finance/business students to apply for international mobility. The network of European business colleges/universities now contains 15 universities or colleges, College of Polytechnics in Jihlava (CPJ) joined it in 2008. The main goal of the paper is to evaluate the effect of IBW on Erasmus mobility at CPJ. Analysis of the data from CPJ information system shows that this impact has weakened gradually. The data also proved that the interest in IBW among CPJ students is stagnating. Partial goal of the article is to suggest solutions for the projects' revitalization. One of the conclusions is that there is a need for qualitative research among the students about their motivations and obstacles of international mobility, with focus on the psychological profile of the students.

In this study, we examine differences in cheating behaviors in higher education between two countries, namely the United States and the Czech Republic, which differ in many social, cultural and political aspects. We compare a recent (2011) Czech Republic survey of 291 students to that of 268 students in the US (Klein et al., ). For all items surveyed, CR students showed a higher propensity to engage in cheating. Additionally, we found more forms of serious cheating present in the Czech sample. In all cases, the differences between the US and Czech samples were statistically significant. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: In this paper, the short-cut method is used to estimate expected rates of financial returns to higher education in the Czech Republic and a modified version of the method is used to suit the current English system of deferred tuition fees. First year university students were asked to estimate their expected earnings with and without a university degree at two points in time. The findings show that students perceive higher education to be a profitable investment and that rates of return vary by gender as well as by country and place of study. We conclude that the current level of tuition fees in England does not act as a disincentive for students to enter higher education. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
