The objective of this paper is to identify the dynamic structure of several time-dependent, discipline-level citation networks through a path-based method. A network data set is prepared that comprises 27 subjects and their citations aggregated from more than 27,000 journals and proceedings indexed in the Scopus database. A maximum spanning tree method is employed to extract paths in the weighted, directed, and cyclic networks. This paper finds that subjects such as Medicine, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, and Social Sciences are the ones with multiple branches in the spanning tree. This paper also finds that most paths connect science, technology, engineering, and mathematics ( STEM) fields; 2 critical paths connecting STEM and non- STEM fields are the one from Mathematics to Decision Sciences and the one from Medicine to Social Sciences. In line with the fact that major inspections and minor inspections are usually adopted together for system inspection in engineering practice, this paper proposes a multiple inspection policy model based on a three-stage failure process. The concept of the three-stage failure process divides the system lifetime into three stages, that is, normal stage, minor defective stage and severe defective stage. With the consideration of all the possible scenarios for failure renewal, minor inspection renewal and major inspection renewal, a multiple inspection policy model is presented for single-unit systems using the renewal reward theory. The objective of the model is to minimize the long-run expected cost per unit time, with the minor and major inspection intervals as the decision variables. In order to illustrate the applicability of the multiple inspection policy, a single inspection policy counterpart which includes only major inspections is also developed for the purpose of comparison. The threshold value for the minor inspection cost which makes the multiple inspection more favorable than the single inspection policy is studied. Numerical examples are presented and the results show that the multiple inspection policy is better than the single inspection policy when the cost of minor inspection is smaller than the threshold level and other parameters are fixed. This position paper focuses on business domain modeling as part of requirements engineering in software development projects. Domain modeling concerns obtaining and modeling the language (concepts, terminologies; ontologies) used by stakeholders to talk about a domain. Achieving conceptual clarity and consensus among stakeholders is an important yet often neglected part of requirements engineering. Domain modeling can play a key role in supporting it. This does, however, require a nuanced approach aspects of language and language change in domain modeling as well as ambition management concerning its goals. On top of the "classic" approach to modeling singular, stable domains, we distinguish aspects like incremental modeling, modeling of multiple terminologies within a domain, and domain evolution; we elaborate on the first two aspects. A primary goal of The Pennsylvania State University's new Engineering Entrepreneurship (E-SHIP) Minor is to build students' life skills so they can succeed within innovative, product-focused, cross-disciplinary teams. The E-SHIP Minor is designed for undergraduate students majoring in engineering, business, or IST (Information Sciences and Technology) who aspire to be innovation leaders for new technology-based products and companies. This paper outlines five E-SHIP program components to meet this mission: the core courses for the minor, E-SHIP competitions in which students exhibit their products and ideas, the E-SHIP Event Series, student organizations to support out-of-classroom entrepreneurial interest, and team projects for local industry and Penn State researchers. Penn State's engineering entrepreneurship program is reviewed, summarizing both quantitative and qualitative assessment data to date, previewing future assessment plans, and providing a summary of lessons learned during the development and implementation of this program.
