Abstract
This article explores the meaning of 'post-racial society' through an examination of the Macedonia Church of God in Christ burnings in the immediate aftermath of the election of Barack H. Obama as the nation's first Black president. By tracing the continuity of racial violence against Blacks, in particular, the founder of Macedonia Church, this article contends that a post-racial society does not exist and that rather race hatred continues to travel along a fault line that often erupts with Black success.
