In this paper, we explore the role of the Covid-19 outbreak on the well-being of healthcare employees (HE) in Turkey by adopting a survey method with 680 (188 men and 492 women) participants. Our results indicate that both the outbreak negatively affects the well-being of HE, and women face more levels of fear, negative feelings and violence than men. Within the context of this research, we contribute to the literature by considering the changing living conditions in the outbreak and adopting a comprehensive approach to reveal sub-level of well-being as subjective and psychological well-being rather than focusing on only mental health like previous studies. The purpose of the authors in this paper is to investigate the effects of negative experiences during delivery and postpartum period on the relationship between the mother. The quantitative part of this study was conducted with 289 mothers and the qualitative part with 40 mothers. It was found that experiencing upsetting problems during delivery (p = 0.006) and in the postpartum period (p = 0.002) had an effect on separation anxiety. Based on the examination of the feelings experienced during annoying or distressing situations in the postpartum period, it was determined that there was a significant correlation between guilt (p = 0.000), fear of not being a good mother (p = 0.035), and feeling weak (p = 0.001) and separation anxiety. Blues of birth is fear and anxiety that the baby will be harmed if the mother is separated from it, and it is attributed to negative experiences during delivery and the postpartum period. Despite extensive research having been carried out on nurse-physician collaboration, there remains a paucity of evidence on how collaboration interacts with organizational commitment and its effect on turnover intention. This study aims to determine the mediating role of nurse-physician collaboration on the effect of organizational commitment on turnover intention. We used a cross-sectional design based on voluntary paper surveys from the inpatient clinics of six public hospitals in the north of Turkey. Data including measures of nurse-physician collaboration, organizational commitment, and turnover intention were collected from a convenience sample of the nurses (n = 212) and physicians (n = 109). Pearson's correlation analysis was used to determine the relationships between variables, and the mediating effect was analyzed with PROCESS Macro "Model 4" for IBM SPSS. Statistical significance was specified at 95% confidence intervals and two-tailed P values of <0.05 for all tests. While most of the participants were nurses (66%), 34% were physicians. For both nurses and physicians, organizational commitment and nurse-physician collaboration negatively affected the turnover intention. However, the mediating role of nurse-physician collaboration was only significant for nurses (b = −0.025). The results demonstrate the importance of harmony, joint decision-making, and responsibility-sharing between nurses and physicians concerning dedication, engagement, and job satisfaction, especially for nurses. This paper focuses on Reflective practice (RP hereafter), the learning and teaching features of Generation Z, and the issue of large classrooms in ELT. Facing the challenge of teaching speaking to the Generation Z students at a large higher education classroom, the researcher designed her course through student reflections, an under-utilized RP tool. In the reflections, students evaluated their large speaking class by focusing on four areas: their perceptions of the class, suggestions for diminishing the impact of class size, and suggestions for their peers for individual study to improve their speaking with and without online resources despite the disadvantage of being in a crowded class. Once the data was gathered through student reflections and the supplementary notes, the researcher analysed the data using grounded theory coding procedures. Based on the findings, the researcher designed the course of the next semester. At the end, the researcher conducted reflection on the reflection both individually and with students. The findings and the complete reflection procedure indicated that the student reflection was a powerful tool for course design in a large classroom as well as addressing the learning requirements of the learners, Generation Z in this example. Background: Nurses' spiritual care practices have been shown to affect patients' well-being, therefore understanding nurses' spiritual care perceptions and their practices. Aim: The aim of this paper is to investigate the nurses' views to practising spiritual care. Methods: A descriptive survey of 193 nurses was conducted at a general hospital in Turkey. Data was collected using a demographic questionnaire and The Spirituality and Spiritual Care Rating Scale (SSCRS). Findings: The findings of this study revealed that older nurses (p<.05); married (p<.001); higher levels of education (p<.05); work experience (p<.05); worked longer hours (p<.05); received education in spiritual care (p<.001); working in medical departments (p<.05) all tended to score higher on the SSCRS. Conclusion: Our research findings suggest that there is a lack of knowledge and general confusion regarding Turkish nurses perceptions and practices related to spiritual care. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper investigates the way the predictability of prosodic patterns in a particular language influences the processing of stress information by native speakers of that language. We extend previous findings where speakers of languages with predictable stress had difficulties to process and represent stress information when confronted with a language with distinctive stress and investigate how the co-existence of a predictable stress pattern and exceptions to that regularity within a single language influences prosodic processing. The stress system of Turkish constitutes an instructive test case since it employs predictable stress on the final syllable of a prosodic word (e.g.,mısır“corn”) and some exceptional nonfinal stress (e.g.,mısır“Egypt”). Results from an event-related potential (ERP) study on stress violations in Turkish trisyllabic words showed asymmetrical ERP responses for different stress violations: Stress violations with final stress produced an N400 effect whereas violations with nonfinal stress produced a P300 effect. The application of the predictable pattern to words with lexical stress led to lexical costs and the application of exceptional stress to words with default stress to effects reflecting the evaluation of this pattern. Although final stress constitutes no alternative pattern for words with exceptional stress, participants have difficulties to judge this pattern as incorrect. In contrast, exceptional stress patterns are detected easily when applied incorrectly to words that normally receive final stress. These findings demonstrate nicely the co-existence of two phonological processing routines in Turkish speakers. Furthermore, the variability of stress patterns does not affect prosodic processing in general but instead leads to differential effects in stress perception. We conclude that stress predictability does not homogenously result in the so-called “stress deafness” effects in stress processing, but that it rather emerges only for the default stress pattern. Objective: Turkey has implemented family practice on a pilot basis as part of the reform in health care, since 2005. This paper aims to understand and describe the prevalent practice patterns and clinic characteristics during the transition period. Design: A cross-sectional descriptive study design was used. Subjects: An online survey was conducted among Turkish GPs working as primary care doctors (without vocational training) during the reform period. Clinic and GP characteristics are analysed with descriptive statistics. Results: List size is an important factor; larger lists lead to shorter consultation time and a longer wait for patients. GPs are generally satisfied with the reform. Conclusion: During the transition to family practice access of patients to health care has improved and GPs are satisfied with their job.
