Information about several papers discussed at a symposium regarding possible moves of France and Germany to increase pressure on Tehran held in Berlin is presented. It states that in the said meeting, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel had an opportunity to share with each other what they had agreed on in the preceding with U.S. President George W. Bush. It adds that Bush had striven to convince both parties of the need for new sanctions against Iran.
