This paper looks at the various aspects of migration going on between Russia's Amur Region and China in our days. The manner in which migration traffic streams in either direction across this section of the two countries' common border does not substantiate the theory of Chinese "demographic expansion." If used wisely, labor coming in from China can become a driving force for the region's development. The scale of Russian migration to China is still unknown to Russian researchers.
