This paper seeks to evaluate the Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity or Expression, or Sex Characteristics or the “SOGIESC Equality Bill” (the Philippines’ version of the global LGBTQ+ activism that seeks to affirm the basic rights of all people regardless of SOGIE) within the context of the United Nations Legal Identity Agenda, which emphasizes the relevance of legal identity for civil registration and vital statistics. It uses qualitative methodology utilizing conceptual and comparative analysis. The document begins with the structure of the Bill, outlining significant sections on gender and gender identity definition, as well as corresponding sanctions and penalties. The paper also examines current legislations that recognize the rights and identity of other marginalized elements of society, such as senior citizens and persons with disabilities. It then looks at the UN Legal Identity Agenda and how it relates to the SOGIESC Bill, emphasizing the necessity of legal gender identity recognition and the responsibility of the state in guaranteeing equitable access to legal identification for everyone. The vast and plural production of the woman architect, musician, activist, occasional educator and tireless researcher Anna Bofill Levi (Barcelona, 1944) is characterized by certain features that make its author a unique personality, although one hardly known and recognized in the Spanish and international circles that are the custodians of prestige in architecture. She has achieved most public recognition as a composer, the field in which she has been most productive over time and developed the furthest. Her music is characterized by the number of references, especially contemporary, she includes, the wide diversity of countries where it has been performed, and the range of people to whom she has dedicated her works, all these aspects testifying to her cosmopolitan and libertarian spirit and her commitment to equality. Her incessant writing, with all the reading it entails, has also left us with a large body of written work, extending over a number of fields, including most notably her reflections on the influence of the gender-based perspective on urban planning. A factor also reflected in her architecture, for example, in the implementation of participatory processes in her project designs. She joined the Taller de Arquitectura from the time she began her studies at the School of Architecture in Barcelona in 1964--she graduated in 1972--, and then commenced her independent career in 1981, although her first solo works date from 1977. Her work at the head of her office for almost 20 years is evidence of a tireless capacity for work and an unwavering commitment to people's welfare. This paper analyses Anna Bofill's contributions to feminist thinking through her work as an architect. Also, it addresses the study of a cultured person, a woman with great sensitivity and a strong political and personal commitment who has suffered discrimination and who hasmade rigor and determination themeans to achieve her non-negotiable freedom. This article explores the history of the Crow Indian Woman's Club, an organization founded in 1930 that persisted, on and off, through the early 1980s. Marshalling their identities as "educated Indian women" and lacking direct channels of political power, Crow clubwomen relied heavily on the written word, creating a paper trail of the club's perspectives. Foregrounding sources produced and curated by clubwomen and their descendants, this article recounts these women's advocacy in health, education, and family life, as well as politics and policy--as women and tribal members, but also as clubwomen who took their responsibility for advancing their people's welfare seriously. Toward this end, they navigated complicated alliances, including with the colonial state and with white clubwomen whose commitment to Crow causes proved fickle. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This conversation explores themes of memory, activism, and the arts through the scholarship, poetry, and practice of Nayahamui Rooney. In a range of interdisciplinary work, Rooney, a Papua New Guinean woman, has analyzed key issues of power, violence, justice, and voice in Papua New Guinea. In this interview, Rooney reflects on how her journey to become a maker of baskets on Manus Island informed her understanding of the political and social dynamics of memory, especially in the context of Australia's decision to base a regional processing center for asylum seekers on Manus Island in the first decades of the twenty-first century. The interview explores how the relationships among basket-making, collective memory, interdisciplinary scholarship, and political activism can emerge in non-linear and recursive ways in response to changing political discourses. The politics of our post-Covid times are expressed through various registers. In Kolkata, one especially powerful artistic medium for such expressions was the revival of street theatre as young and senior theatre practitioners plunged into exploring critical issues that have been all-pervasive since the beginning of the pandemic. As people finally started to venture out, content to be amidst human congregations, street plays, being located in open-air spaces, proved both economical and safe. The issues these street performances highlighted and their modes of presentations could be described as what Tony Fisher calls 'activist theatre' – which mobilizes the people by interpellating its audience around a specific grievance or issue that possesses an emotional appeal. These performances are a form of artistic activism, or 'artivism' as termed by Chantal Mouffe: the use of aesthetic means for political activism, 'as a counter-hegemonic move against the capitalist appropriation of aesthetics'.
