The skills and attitudes acquired in the classes allow the student to get to know and understand the world around him better, to learn more easily in the natural and social environment and to make decisions about personal prosperity. This research includes 300 students, emphasizes the issue of the quality of education in secondary schools, with a focus on the acquisition of knowledge through innovative methods, as well as the issue of the quality of students' acquired knowledge, the impact on student achievements. Interactions between students and lecturers. Quality knowledge belongs to the level of recognition and reproduction. However, the test results so far show serious deficiencies and failures in teaching in the Republic of Kosovo, indicating the necessity of applying modern techniques and methods of the teaching process in order to improve the quality of teaching, which, among other things, requires personal creativity and engagement of teachers. In order for the aforementioned methods and techniques of curriculum implementation to be applicable, teachers need to be additionally educated and provided with appropriate contemporary literature in these areas. The paper presents the results of the statistical software package SPSS version 25, about students' attitudes about developing the ability to use modern methods and techniques in teaching based on age, gender in relation to the program of attendance. A wide range of reforms to improve the teaching capacities of pre-service and in-service teachers have been carried out in Kosovo. In assessing the success of these previous interventions, large-scale assessment data is invaluable. In 2019, 4754 students from 145 schools participated in the TIMSS assessment. Results reveal that student's performance, in mathematics and science, is significantly higher when teachers are clear in their instructions, satisfied with their job, and have more teaching experience. Teacher qualifications also impact achievement, with students performing higher when the teacher only has a secondary education without a bachelor's degree. Students' higher readiness for instruction, preferences for the subjects, and confidence in their abilities are linked to higher literacy levels. Finally, TIMSS data of the 2019 study also raise questions regarding the type of homework assigned to students, the importance of experience over qualifications, and the academization of teacher preparation programs that may hinder practice. In light of existing research evidence student achievement is considered to be determined to a great extent by the characteristics of teachers. With this in mind, teacher characteristics have become an important variable not only in understanding PISA scores but also in drafting new education policies. By analysing PISA results and the data from additional inventories, this paper argues that the data on teacher characteristics is inconclusive and in contrast to what literature suggests; practices and techniques that enhance student achievement in other countries are the ones that result in decreased student performance in Kosovo. Importantly, PISA was the only beginning and its findings demand additional research in order to understand how teachers are practicing, what techniques they are using and what the level of their content knowledge is. Once a better understanding of trends and developments in education institutions is gained, government structures can consider a number of practices that have yielded results for other countries. In conclusion, in light of existing results, drafting new policies without conducting extensive research on teacher characteristics in Kosovo is likely to result in failure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

One of the main challenges of the modern school is the implementation of comprehensive education. Knowing that students are different among themselves, and have different personalities, traits, and even special needs, it is very important to know how to manage this diversity within the classroom and accept all students without distinction. The factors that affect the academic achievements of students are numerous and it is impossible to control them, therefore through this research, we aimed to ascertain the correlation of one of these factors, in this case, social acceptability with the academic achievements of students. Therefore, the main purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between social acceptability and academic achievements of elementary school students in Kosovo. The sample was random, while according to the nature of the research, it is judgmental or intentional, which was chosen without probability. The sample includes 4 schools in two municipalities of Kosovo, Istog and Mitrovica. The results of the research showed that there are different social relations in terms of social acceptability among the students of a class. Starting from popular students, rejected students, neglected students, and opposed students. These social relations among students affect the students' performance. There is also a reciprocal relationship between social acceptability and academic achievement, i.e. with an increase in social acceptability, the level of academic achievement of students increases and vice versa, with a decrease in the level of social acceptability, the level of academic achievement also decreases. In assuming ethnic/national identity as problematic, we examine its dynamic aspects in the context of refugee children and their educational experiences. While the starting point of our analysis is a deconstruction of ethnic/national identity in conventional terms of language, religion, education etc., the emerging focus is the notion of boundary. On the one hand, we look at the relevance of fluid boundaries for identity formation, while on the other hand, the experience of crossing boundaries will also be examined, particularly in the case of forced migration and displacement. Boundaries are conceptualised in the context of a continuum in which the experiences of refugee children range across school, home, locality and country. To illustrate the central arguments two case studies will be highlighted: a child refugee from Kosovo, the older of two brothers arriving in the UK about four years ago, who now attends a north London primary school; and several young minors, mainly from Kosovo, who attend a youth club in south London. Preliminary observations of the child, together with subsequent small group discussions and semi‐structured interviews, serve to identify how the child relates to the various spaces in the school. The analysis of his drawings forms the main part of the argument. In the case of the youth club users, observations and conversations show how these young people construct their individual and social identities by accessing global resources in response to local interests.
