The purpose of this paper is to retrieve and study the highly cited papers as well as the correlation between the citation frequency and the download frequency of the 20 traditional Chinese medicine journals in China, in order to provide the guidance for improving the influence and academic quality of these journals. Bibliometric analyses were conducted on 1103 papers of 20 traditional Chinese medicine journals from 2011 to 2020 by retrieving for the China Academic Journal Network Publishing Database (CAJD) in China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). SPSS 17.0 software was used to analyze the correlation between the citation frequency and the download frequency via conducting regression fitting and establishing the mathematical models. The results showed that the total citations of the 1103 papers were 93051 times and the average citations were 84.36 times per paper. The total downloads of the 1103 papers were 2058442 times, and the average downloads were 1866.22 times per paper. China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica ranked first according to the number of papers, total citations and total downloads. The citations of Journal of Chinese Medicinal Materials ranked first based on the number of citations per paper. One of Li's paper had been cited the most (983 times). There were 629 (57.03%) papers whose first author was from universities. The scopes of the first authors were distributed in 29 regions and 2 special administrative regions (Macao, Hong Kong) in China. The authors from Beijing published 283 (25.66%) papers, ranking number one. The number of papers supported by funds was 882 (79.96%). The research results of correlation showed that the citation frequency and the download frequency of the highly cited papers had a highly positive correlation from both journal and paper level for whether the sample data of journals was normally distributed or nonnormally distributed. The correlation coefficients of the 20 journals at journal level and that at paper level were 0.9765 and 0.6677, respectively. The correlation was better at journal level than that at paper level, while the optimal regression fitting was all cubic polynomial. Among the 1103 papers, there were 684 (62.01%) research papers and 419 (37.99%) review papers. The main citation period of the top 15 papers was from the 2nd year to the 6th year after publication, accounting for 78.39%. Papers on clinical therapeutics research, papers on the pharmacological effects and its mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine, and papers on traditional Chinese medicine and natural medicine were the main source of the highly cited papers of the traditional Chinese medicine journals. Editors of the journals should focus on the above-mentioned research areas to select manuscripts for exploiting the excellent sources extensively, while paying attention to review papers, focusing on national major or key projects, paying attention to network spreading, stabilizing authors with quality services, in order to improve the influence and the academic quality of journals. Continual development necessitates innovation. One must discover seeds of innovation and then concentrate resources on these seeds. To do so, one must recognize technology trends and then adopt and execute appropriate innovation strategies. This study used advanced change point detection method to investigate leading indicators that represent changes in technology trends. We examine patents, papers, and newspaper articles in Japan and US for 55 technologies. Results suggest that patents can be more appropriate as leading indicators than either papers or newspapers. The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a significant shift towards electronic commerce (e-commerce), as people have turned to various methods of e-commerce to deal with imposed mobility restrictions. This paper provides a bibliometric analysis of the research conducted in the field of e-commerce, focusing on studies related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The study aims to identify the key features, most influential papers, prevalent themes and methodologies, and the relationship between the terms used in the relevant publications. The data for the analysis was obtained from the Scopus database and consisted of 629 English-language research papers, book chapters, and review papers published between August 2020 and December 2022. BibExcel and VOSviewer software tools were utilized to assist with the selection of relevant information, perform the bibliometric analysis, and generate graphical representations of the results. The analysis indicates that China was the most productive geographical region, with the United States and India following closely behind. Sustainability journal from Switzerland was found to be the most productive in the field, followed by Frontiers in Psychology and the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services. Bina Nusantara University in Indonesia was identified as the most productive institution, with Bucharest University of Economic Studies in Romania and Zhejiang University in China following closely behind. The most influential paper was found to be by Kim (2020), followed by Dannenberg et al. (2020), and Tran (2021). To address the limitations in the current literature, future research can undertake a comparative study of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the field of e-commerce over time, as well as analyze the dominant themes both prior to and post-pandemic. Ecotourism potential is a fundamental research effort needed to promote sustainable regional tourism development, and scholars have paid greater attention to it in recent years, which has led to an increase in the publication of literature on this important and widely recognized topic. However, there is still no clear picture of the development direction of research on ecotourism potential. To address this issue, this study attempts to provide a comprehensive analysis of the existing research state in this field. This paper presents a more detailed review of ecotourism potential, a bibliometric analysis of 949 articles selected from 1,027 publications retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database, and a systematic descriptive and network analysis of the bibliometric data using the Biblioshiny tool. Here are some interesting findings: (1) research on the ecotourism potential in the academy started in 1992, with a rapid growth in the number of publications after 2013, with an overall interdisciplinary character and the emergence of a research community represented by Milcu, Balmford, Gallagher, and others; (2) ecotourism, conservation, tourism, management, and biodiversity are high-frequency keywords in this field, revealing the main research directions; (3) the development and evolution of research focus are mainly on three aspects: wildlife and biodiversity conservation, nature-based tourism and environmental values, and the modes and contributions of community participation. Future research should focus on the scientific references of ecotourism potential for promoting regional sustainable development. Evolutionary studies of cultural complexity often assume that group members select the best information available in the group, effectively diffusing the best innovations, whose advantages are subsequently passed on to the next generation. This would seem to describe the ideal of the scientific process — each cohort of papers in a field surfacing the best innovations, refining them and passing on to the next "layer" or cohort of scientific works. Here, we use academic journal databases to explore this "forking" (branching) process in the evolution of a scientific paradigm. We apply citation network visualization and Latent Dirichlet allocation topic analysis to three different paradigms defined pragmatically as the set of papers citing a highly influential paper in each respective case. Our three case studies indicate a founder effect in how the seminal paper is highly-embedded in the citation network, and yet peripheral to the evolution of topics in subsequent "layers" of publications within the paradigm. This and additional evidence suggest certain topics are selected and followed, while others are left behind. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serve as a common aim that brings many nations together, led by the United Nations with the purpose to achieve a set of 17 targets by 2030. One very important factor in achieving these aims is finance. The advancement in financial development all around the world will be able to speed up achieving SDGs where governments, policymakers, and people will be able to grow the economic development and infrastructure of the country, provide adequate job opportunities for many people, reduce poverty, as well as improve sustainability around the world. In opposition to that, some researchers see the advancement in financial development as an activity that will jeopardize achieving SDGs as financial development might lead to the production of carbon footprints at a faster rate. Using bibliometric analysis, this paper was able to discover that there is an increase in attention and interest in the field with the rise in publications in recent years, especially in 2022. Furthermore, this paper also identifies research hotspots within the field while also finding and analyzing the most impactful authors and publications on the topic. The global financial crisis that followed Lehman Brothers' declaration of bankruptcy in September 2008 critically highlighted the significance of research on systemic risk and macro-prudential supervision. Accordingly, this paper mainly analyzed the relationship between financial crises and the article output in financial crisis research through the application of bibliometrics. The occurrence of a financial crisis leads to changes in the output of articles on crisis and risks. Hence, we focused on bibliographic coupling (e.g., co-authorship, co-occurrence), data classification by risk type in this study (e.g., market risk, credit risk) and citation analysis (e.g., top 1% cited paper). Meanwhile, the analysis indicated the most relevant disciplines in financial crisis research. For example, the number of top 1% cited articles and citations, MARKET RISK documents and citations published the most papers. Despite half a century's extensive scholarly research in the decision-making process of individuals around the adoption of new innovations, innovation practitioners are still not able to capitalise sufficiently on the existing knowledge base to successfully commercialise new products. Evidence of this stems from consumers' continued rejection of new offerings at alarming rates. This makes the marketing of innovation, with a focus on influencing consumers' decision-making process, one of the most challenging corporate challenges for new product managers. To address this gap, this paper sequentially applies a systematic literature review (SLR), followed by extensive descriptive and bibliometric analyses, to reveal and assess the current state of knowledge in this field. Furthermore, the analysis identifies six prominent future research paths that could fill identified gaps in knowledge. Numerous studies related to the field of port and shipping were conducted to propose some managerial insights. This paper uses the bibliometric method to analyze the research papers published from 2000 to 2019 on port and shipping in the field of management science. The number of published papers, impact score and cite score are identified as evaluation criteria to analyze the research contributions of researchers, affiliated institutions and countries/regions in the port and shipping field. In this paper we present a phenomenological approach to describe a complex systemcolon; scientific research impact through Citation Mining. The novel concept of Citation Mining, a combination of citation bibliometrics and text mining, is used for the phenomenological description. Citation Mining starts with a group of core papers whose impact is to be examined, retrieves the papers that cite these core papers, and then analyzes the bibliometrics characteristics of the citing papers as well as their linguistic and thematic characteristics. The Science Citation Index is used as the source database for the core of citing papers, since its citation-based structure enables the capability to perform citation studies easily. This paper presents illustrative examples in photovoltaics (applied research) and sandpile dynamics (basic research) to show the types of output products possible. Bibliometric profiling is performed over a number of the citing papers' record fields to offer different perspectives on the citing (user) community. Text mining is performed on the aggregate citing papers, to identify aggregate citing community themes, and to identify extra-discipline and applications themes. The photovoltaics applied research papers had of the order of hundreds of citations in aggregate. All of the citing papers ranged from applied research to applications, and their main themes were fully aligned with those of the aggregate cited papers. This seems to be the typical case with applied research. The sandpile dynamics basic research papers had hundreds of citations in aggregate. Most of the citing papers were also basic research whose main themes were aligned with those of the cited paper. This is typically the case with basic research. Scientific and engineering research is heavily dependent on effective development and use of software artifacts. Many of these artifacts are produced by the scientists themselves, rather than by trained software engineers. To address the challenges in this area, a research community often referred to as "Development of Scientific Software" has emerged in the last few decades. As this research area has matured, there has been a sharp increase in the number of papers and results made available, and it has thus become important to summarize and provide an overview about those studies. Through a systematic mapping and bibliometrics study, we have reviewed 130 papers in this area. We present the results of our study in this paper. Also we have made the mapping data available on an online repository which is planned to be updated on a regular basis. The results of our study seem to suggest that many software engineering techniques and activities are being used in the development of scientific software. However, there is still a need for further exploration of the usefulness of specific software engineering techniques (e.g., regarding software maintenance, evolution, refactoring, re(v)-engineering, process and project management) in the scientific context. Scholars from Mainland China have published 8541 papers in 79 Operations Research and Management Science (OR/MS) journals available on the ISI Web of Science (WOS). Data from 2001 to 2013 constitute the basis of the bibliometric method used in this paper for statistical analysis of status of OR/MS research in Mainland China, from the perspectives of number of papers, quality of papers, most productive institutions, co-author analysis, citations analysis and research topic analysis, etc. The results show that although the number of OR/MS papers by Mainland China scholars grew exponentially during this period, the quality of papers needs to be further improved. Besides, the competition among the institutions in Mainland China is very fierce. Furthermore, the co-author analysis shows that the depth of cooperation has increased steadily and yet the breadth of cooperation has much room for development. Moreover, from the perspective of citations, only a small number of papers by Mainland China scholars have influenced the international OR/MS field. In addition, analysis of research topics shows that Mainland China scholars have been studying the OR/MS problems from a variety of perspectives. Additionally, we also visualize the relationship of the keywords to describe the status of development of the OR/MS discipline in Mainland China, and conclude that the connection nodes will have greater potential in the future. This paper evaluates the distribution of papers published by Asian authors in Operations Research and Management Science (OR/MS) journals from 1968 to 2006. The impact of OR/MS research in Asia is compared with that of the United States and the World, and research trends are highlighted through an analysis of keywords. From 1968 to 2006, 89,293 papers were published in 60 OR/MS journals. Of these, 41.4% came from USA and 16.6% came from seven Asian countries/regions. The contribution of different countries/regions is as follows: Japan 3.7%, Taiwan 3.2%, India 2.3%, Hong Kong 2.2%, South Korea 2.1%, People's Republic of China (PRC) 1.9%, and Singapore 1.2%. Among all the articles analyzed, 20% have a single author, and 9% have more than three authors; additionally, 22 papers have been cited more than 100 times and 29% have never been cited. Most articles originating in Japan, Taiwan, India, South Korea, PRC, and Singapore are produced in collaboration with local scholars, followed by authors from the United States. Hong Kong is a notable exception, 73% of articles from Hong Kong are produced in cooperation with the PRC, followed by local scholars. Bibliometric rankings are quite common in the field of software engineering. For example, there are a series of ranking repeated every year which identify the top researchers and institutions at the international level in the field. There are also other studies to determine the most cited articles in software engineering journals, the most popular research topics in this area, or identify the top researchers and institutions in regional levels. However, there exists no existing bibliometric quantitative analysis of publications in the area of software engineering (SE), including relative and absolute growth in the number of all SE publications as well as an analysis among countries. This is the main goal and motivation of this article. Besides, this study intends to provide an overall quantitative trend of the software engineering papers, and compare that trend to research output in other areas of science. The bibliometric study reported in this paper is motivated by the fact that understanding the amount of geographical research contributions to the field of software engineering can help identify different countries' level of commitment to support research activities in this area over years. We analyze how the contribution levels of top-ranked countries have changed over the years and how SE compares to other disciplines of engineering and science. Among the most interesting findings of this study are: (1) Over 40 years, in total about 60% of the SE literature has been contributed by only 7% of all countries, (2) the SE research output of different countries does not necessarily correlate with their GDPs, (3) the share of contributions to the SE discipline by the American researchers has declined from 71.43% (in 1980) to 14.90% (in 2008), and (4) China is the country with the biggest share growth in the number of publications (from 0.82% of the entire SE publications in 1991 to 13.82% in 2009). Ginsenoside extracts have been shown to have anticancer effects by a growing number of studies and have thus become a hot topic in cancer research. Our study used VOSviewer and CiteSpace softwares to conduct a bibliometric approach to co-citation and co-occurrence analysis of countries, institutions, authors, references, and keywords in the field of cancer research to investigate the current status and trends of ginsenosides research in cancer. The web of science core collection (WoSCC) contained a total of 1102 papers. China made the most contributions in this area, with the most publications (742, 67.3%), and collaborated closely with Korea and the USA. The Journal of Ginseng Research, with the most total citations (1607) and an IF of 6.06, is the leading journal in the field of ginsenoside and cancer research, publishing high quality articles. Saponin and its extracts inhibit oxidative stress, promote apoptosis, and inhibits chemotherapy resistance by ginsenosides, all of which are hot research areas in this field. In the coming years, it is expected that the combination of ginsenosides and nanoparticles, in-depth mechanisms of cancer inhibition, and targeted therapy will receive widespread attention. Introduction: We adopt the method of bibliometrics to analyze the annual volume of papers and author distribution in the field of campus emergency management in the past 43 years, to evaluate the main population and types of emergency in this study of campus emergency management, and to discuss the existing management methods. Thus, we explore the research hotspot, research gaps and provide reference for future research. Method: We made a statistical analysis of published literature through bibliometrics, searched relevant papers on campus emergency management in PubMed, Embase and Web of Science databases and included 364 valid literature works after screening. The characteristics were analyzed from multiple perspectives. Results: The research on campus emergency management is divided into three stages: "incubation period", "fluctuating growth period" and "rapid development period". Studies vary widely from continent to continent. There are many differences in the focus groups of different school types in the literature. The proportion of emergencies is divided into wound, disaster, school violence, illness and bombshell and others, accounting for 34.17%, 16.94%, 16.11%, 12.78%, 4.44% and 15.56%, respectively. Conclusion: Through the statistical analysis of English literature on campus emergency management from 1977 to 2020, it can be seen that the uneven distribution of research areas is very serious, and there is not much attention to special types of schools. The subdivision and management of the population are in continuous improvement. The research on campus emergency management has been continuously carried out and improved, with a promising prospect. Nanoparticles have been considered in many fields such as medicine and industry due to their very small size and their special physicochemical properties. Biosynthesis of nanoparticles has advantages over other methods. This paper examines the bibliography of the relationship between nanotechnology and fungi from 1985 to 2021. Data were collected from three databases consisting of Web of Science, Scopus, and Dimensions. The number and type of documents were examined and then the analysis was continued using VOSviewer and Bibliometrix-package on the documents of the Scopus database. Analysis of 1203 documents from this database showed an upward trend in the publication in recent years. The term "Fungi" was also identified as the keyword index and India as the country with the most published documents. Future research is likely to be on using modern techniques in the study of nanoparticles as well as focusing on other genera of fungi. This paper explores the relationship between nanotechnology and fungi from 1985 to 2021. Biosynthesis offers advantages in creating nanoparticles, which are tiny particles with unique properties used in many fields. Data from three databases were analysed, indicating an increasing trend in publications in recent years. This paper presents a pioneering systematic literature review (SLR) that scrutinizes the increasingly pivotal role of resilience in manufacturing strategy (MS), a perspective notably absents in previous literature. In the wake of disruptive events, our study provides an exhaustive analysis of resilience within MS, employing a meticulous multi-stage process encompassing article collection, critical evaluation, and both bibliometric and content analyses. Utilizing Atlas.ti © for an enhanced analytical depth, the study distinctly maps current trends and pinpoints previously unexplored gaps in this research area. Post-2020, a surge in academic focus on MS and resilience is evident, and our analysis brings forth critical research domains such as the formulation of theoretical resilience frameworks and the refinement of strategic resilience in manufacturing. The study accentuates the necessity of agility and responsiveness in manufacturing, emphasizing the integration of uncertainty into decision-making processes. It also highlights the instrumental role of technological innovation, particularly the adoption of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) technologies, in reinforcing resilience. Through a detailed content analysis, our research systematically categorizes findings into approaches to resilience, resilience components, and MS resilience. Since the International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems published its first issue in 1993, it has made important contributions to the research field of computer science. In this study, based on the dataset of the publications published in this journal between 1993 and 2016 retrieved from Web of Science, a general overview of this journal is performed using bibliometric methods and visualized networks. First, the productive and influential publications, authors, institutions, countries/territories, and supraregions are analysed based on the total number of citations, publications, and different citation thresholds. Second, network visualization analysis is applied to illustrate the links and connections between terms by using the VOSviewer software. Moreover, the most cited journals and common author keywords of three continents, including North America, Europe, and Asia, are also presented. This paper uses bibliometric methods to review the research on makerspaces. The objective of the study was to document the growth and geographic distribution of makerspace literature, identify the main authors, documents. In addition to this, the study also combined two bibliometric analysis methods, co-citation analysis and co-word analysis to identify the intellectual structure of the makerspace knowledge base and the evolution of research themes over time. A total of 654 documents related to makerspaces between 2012 and 2020 were identified from the Scopus database. The review found that research base on makerspace is starting to grow from 2017 onwards with an accelerating growth rate, however, the published studies are mainly from USA and Europe. The paper also lists the most cited documents, the influential sources of publications and the main authors working on this area. The review also identified five research clusters using co-citation analysis that have emerged over time which are "innovation and development in makerspaces", "child development in makerspaces", "learning and STEM education in makerspaces", "implementation of makerspaces in education", and "university makerspaces". Another major finding highlighted "innovation, design, and creativity", "engineering curriculum", "skill development", "computer programming knowledge", and "learning, collaboration and community development" as the five main research themes using the co-word analysis. This study focuses on the review of present and future research directions in the field of laser–plasma interaction by using bibliometric analysis. Data sources in this study are collected from the WoS core collection database. A total of 2650 documents from 1990 to 2022 are analyzed. Author keywords, countries/regions, highly-cited articles and scholars, fruitful journals and productive institutions are discussed in detail. Results indicate that in terms of the volume of published documents, research institutes and related journals in this area, the USA is the leading country, followed by China, France and the UK. Furthermore, the USA has the highest number of publications and is the most frequently cited country in the world. Also, Physics of Plasmas, published by the AIP, holds the first rank among journals in terms of papers published and most global cited documents in laser–plasma interaction research. Moreover, the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Livermore, USA, is the most productive institution. Furthermore, biometric analysis reveals the growth rate of related articles in this field that has been somewhat stable and in recent years, investigations by scholars are mostly focused on simulation with programming (e.g., Particle-In-Cell (PIC) codes), studying the effects of electric and magnetic fields, laser–plasma dynamics, ion-acceleration and laser-driven plasma accelerators. National systems of innovation (NSI) have attracted substantial interest from public administrations, the scientific community and international organizations. Innovation is a key factor for countries to be competitive in the today's global economy. Entrepreneurship is an innovation source that has gained importance in NSI research over the last few decades. This focus on entrepreneurship in the context of NSI has led scholars to propose novel concepts such as entrepreneurial ecosystems and the national system of entrepreneurship (NSE). This paper uses bibliometric methods and the Web of Science Core Collection (WoS CC) database to explore how entrepreneurship fits into NSI research and to study the increasing importance of entrepreneurship within this research field. The NSI conceptual framework is developed according to the most common keywords, and the most influential NSI studies are identified using the total number of citations and the ratio number of citations per year. Two sets of studies are analyzed: (1) older documents on traditional topics such as the origins and evolution of NSIs, the capacity of countries to innovate, and the relationships of institutions, different organizational forms, networking, production and competence building with innovation and (2) newer entrepreneurship research documents. Based on analysis of the most common keywords, the most influential studies and multiple entrepreneurship approaches, we propose a Sextuple Helix model as an analytical framework that brings together innovation and entrepreneurship. Objective: This study used CiteSpace to look at the current state of research on epilepsy and synaptic plasticity and to point out the hotspots and frontiers. Method: We searched Web of Science (WoS) for studies related to epilepsy and synaptic plasticity. CiteSpace was used to construct network maps of cooperation across countries, institutions, and authors to identify frontiers and hotspots in epilepsy and synaptic plasticity research. Results: A total of 1700 studies on epilepsy and synaptic plasticity were retrieved from the WoS. The United States and Baylor College of Medicine were the most prolific nation and institution in this field with 680 and 28 publications, respectively. The most prolific author (11 articles) was Xuefeng Wang. The Journal of Neuroscience published the most articles (71, 6.71%) and had the most co-citations (1557, 4.57%). In this paper, the interaction and mechanism between epilepsy and synaptic plasticity, as well as future research hotspots, are highlighted. Conclusion: CiteSpace can reveal the institutions, leaders, journals, cited papers, and research hotspots involved in epilepsy and synaptic plasticity. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study that visualizes the relationship between epilepsy and synaptic plasticity and provides references for future research directions. This paper conducts a systematic literature review with bibliometric analysis for drone-related research in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Forty publications were extracted from the SCOPUS database during 2015–2019 for further analysis. The results show the current research landscape and guide future research directions. Interestingly, the occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic made the use of drones necessary to assist EMSs lifesaving tasks to reduce fatality, which has also attracted more attention from the academic community. Absorptive capacity (ACAP) is one of the most active themes in knowledge management literature. The topic is extensively mentioned in several relevant research fields, including innovation, organisational learning and strategic management. In this study, we employed bibliographic coupling to analyse the extant academic literature published in order to detect research fronts on the theme. Our sample includes 2,072 papers published in the last four years, which is in line with our basic intent to investigate the latest academic research. Papers included in the core research front highlight the role of ACAP as an organisational ability to assess new valuable knowledge, aiding the development of organisational capabilities. The role of knowledge absorption capacity in alliance networks, open innovation processes, intra-organisational learning, as well as exploratory and exploitative initiatives are the other relevant research fronts identified. The increasing popularity and adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem in various domains has brought attention to the security breaches linked with this paradigm. As the number of IoT devices continues to grow, it is essential to ensure that they are secured to protect against potential threats and attacks. IoT network proliferation of interconnected devices has significantly raised security concerns making them attractive targets for cyber attackers seeking to gain unauthorized access to systems and cause disruptions. As IoT networks collect and transmit sensitive data using centralized architecture, ensuring security and integrity of these networks becomes paramount. Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) has emerged as a promising solution for enhancing IoT security. Two prominent DLT platforms: Blockchain and Internet of Things Application (IOTA) technologies can provide a more secure and resilient foundation for IoT ecosystems, and also help to mitigate risks associated with central node vulnerabilities. DLT-based IoT systems can also enable the creation of decentralized marketplaces and autonomous agents that can operate without human intervention. The objective of this research is to offer a comprehensive as well as fundamental study of IoT ecosystems and its associated security risks. Moreover, this paper provides a holistic study of the DLT platform and bibliometric inspection using VoS viewer tool on generic DLT platform technologies i.e., Blockchain and IOTA for securing data in IoT ecosystem. By leveraging bibliometric insights resulting from both DLT technologies, this study identities the most promising areas for further investigation and contribute to advancing security in IoT ecosystems. Cloud computing has been a mainstream solution for the processing and storage of mass data, as well as an exciting area for research. As a novel business model, cloud computing has dramatically changed the provision of services and IT capacity by means of the advanced techniques. In recent years, with the increasing research interests and rapid growth of publications, some review papers provide detailed analysis on cloud computing area. In this paper, a bibliometric-based approach is presented and implemented to quantitatively review the progress in global cloud computing research with the related literature during 2007-2013 from the databases of Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E), Conference Proceedings Citation Index-Science (CPCI-S), and IEEEXplore. Our work is motivated by the purpose of tracing global advancement in terms of research content, geographic distribution and issue time of the related publications, rather than a specific technological area in cloud computing research. By investigating the characteristics of publications such as keywords, output, geographic distribution and affiliation, we draw some valuable conclusions to guide the further research. The experimental results show that the top 5 active research points of cloud computing concentrate on virtualization, security, mobile cloud, distributed computing, and scheduling. From the location-time aspect, China, USA, and India have published most of the papers, dominate cloud computing research and keep a high level on the international research cooperation. And there is a great increase in publication outputs especially in China and USA. Meanwhile, the analysis results demonstrate the top 3 high-cited research institutes of the University of Melbourne, University of California. Living labs (LLs) are becoming an increasingly popular approach to engage in open innovation. Although applications and influence of LLs have grown rapidly over the last decade, the landscape of LL research remains largely unclear and underexplored. Hence, there is an urgent need to develop a consolidated understanding of this research field and to detect the potential areas of fragmentation and isolation. Through a systematic review of the scholarly literature on LLs, this study applies bibliometric methods on a dataset of 411 journal articles. The results of this study reveal the diverse and fragmented nature of the LL field, with contributions spanning across different disciplines and application domains. Despite such fragmentation, some clusters of scholars and publications are identified as well as influential contributions. Given the nascent state of the literature, the role of special issues in shaping the evolution of the LL debate is prominent. This study provides a map to practitioners to investigate and learn from the application of LLs in diverse fields. This aspect is particularly important in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, which stresses the key role of open and collaborative approaches to innovation, making the use of LLs increasingly relevant for governments, companies, public organisations and individuals. The synonymic use of sustainable innovation types obstructs the impact of increasingly disperse research on sustainable innovation, environmental innovation, eco-innovation, and green innovation. To identify the meaning and contributions of each innovation type over time, we apply co-word analysis as a bibliometric technique to 1,985 papers, analysing the evolution of motor, emergent and basic themes for each type. For environmental innovation, the focus has shifted from environmental regulations and policies to patents and inventions with an environmental impact, while in sustainable innovations the societal impact of technology adoption has become a driver. Green innovation increasingly concerns environmental technology and its management, whereas eco-innovation studies aspects related to efficiency and decision making. Since the 2000s, the interest around smart cities continues to grow due to the increasing digitalization, urbanization, and marketing of the smart city idea by tech companies. Academic landscape of innovation research was analyzed by citation network analysis, which was divided into three main clusters; with "technological innovation" as the central core together with "innovation fundamentals" and "innovation management". Historically, research on innovation started from innovation management, such as innovational organization research, but research in the other two cluster areas is currently more active. With this background, we prepared a historical overview of national innovation system policy in Japan and the United States. A recent highly publicized study [Park, M., Leahey, E. and Funk, R. J., Papers and patents are becoming less disruptive over time, Nature613 (2023) 138–144] claiming that science has become less disruptive over recent decades represents an extraordinary achievement but with deceptive results. The measure of disruption, CD5, in this study does not account for differences in citation amid decades of exponential growth in publication rate. In order to account for both the exponential growth as well as the differential impact of research works over time, here we apply a weighted disruption index to the same dataset. We find that, among research papers in the dataset, this weighted disruption index has been close to its expected neutral value over the last fifty years and has even increased modestly since 2000. We also show how the proportional decrease in unique words is expected in an exponentially growing corpus. Finding little evidence for recent decrease in disruption, we suggest that it is actually increasing. Future research should investigate improved definitions of disruption. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Sustainability is one of the main challenges of civil construction. Most architectural paints release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that harm the environment and human health. This paper presents the main discussions and theoretical approaches through bibliometrics on the theme of industrial sustainability in architectural paints. The study presents an analysis of citations, the main topics associated with this specific line of research and a conceptual framework, as well as the identification of the most explored approaches in the literature and the main gaps. The Bibliometrix library from the R package was used to organize the published data used and process the generated analyses. The analysis of 773 international scientific documents from January 1985 to November 2019 allowed an overview of the research field related to industrial sustainability in architectural paints. The main findings are summarized as follows: most documents are focused on the study of new paint compositions, observing sustainability criteria in their development; there was little presence of documents dealing with architectural paintings; most publications focus on the development and testing of new paint formulations, which are obtained from the substitution of toxic substances, which indicates that there is also a need to diversify research approaches in this field; few publications were found addressing the subject, which configures a gap in the literature related to this field of research. This study aims to overview the research trends in Knowledge Management (KM) using a bibliometric and content analysis. Several research questions pertaining to the annual growth of KM publications, the key topics discussed, popular methodologies, country of origin, and citations analysis are posed and answered. In total, 475 articles published in the Journal of Information & Knowledge Management (JIKM) were retrieved from the Scopus bibliographical database. The results showed a relatively steady growth in the number of articles published in JIKM between 2002 and 2016. US scholars authored 21% of the articles published in JIKM, followed by those from India (almost 10%), Australia (8%), and the UK (7.5%). It is also noteworthy that scientific papers published in JIKM are referenced in highly cited journals of computer science, business, and library and information science. Topics such as knowledge discovery, taxonomy and ontology, and knowledge representation were the major KM research trends to arise from the current phenomena of "big data" and data analytics, as reflected in the subject matter of published works. A comparison between the counts for qualitative and quantitative research methodologies showed a clear tendency toward the latter, including questionnaires, while case studies, content analysis, and framework and conceptual papers also proved to be important for KM researchers. The International Journal of Information Technology and Decision Making (IJITDM) was launched in 2002 to study how the information technology and decision-making technique affect each other. To summarize the progress of the journal in the latest 11 years, a bibliometric overview of the IJITDM publications from 2012 to 2022 is provided to identify the conceptual evolution and development situation of the journal during this time slot. To do this, first, the publication and citation structures of the publications in this journal is presented. Then, the scientific network map analysis, including keywords analysis, co-authorship analysis and co-citation analysis, is performed in details. Furthermore, the development trends of information technologies and decision-making methods are discussed to dig out factors that influence the evolution of topics in IJITDM publications. Database Tomography (DT) is a textual database analysis system consisting of two major components: (1) algorithms for extracting multi-word phrase frequencies and phrase proximities (physical closeness of the multi-word technical phrases) from any type of large textual database, to augment (2) interpretative capabilities of the expert human analyst. DT was used to obtain technical intelligence from a Fractals database derived from the Science Citation Index/Social Science Citation Index (SCI). Phrase frequency analysis by the technical domain experts provided the pervasive technical themes of the Fractals database, and the phrase proximity analysis provided the relationships among the pervasive technical themes. Bufalin is an anticancer drug extract from traditional Chinese medicine. Several articles about bufalin have been published. However, the literature on bufalin has not yet been systematically studied. This study aimed to identify the study status and knowledge structures of bufalin and to summarize the antitumor mechanism. Data were retrieved and downloaded from the PubMed database. The softwares of BICOMB, gCLUTO, Ucinet 6.0, and NetDraw2.084 were used to analyze these publications. The bufalin related genes were recognized and tagged by ABNER software. Then these BF-related genes were performed by Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment analysis, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathways analysis, and protein-protein interaction (PPI) network analysis. A total of 474 papers met the search criteria from 2000 to 2019. By biclustering clustering analysis, the 50 high-frequency main MeSH terms/subheadings were classified into 5 clusters. The clusters of drug therapy and the mechanism of bufalin were hotspot topics. A total of 50 genes were identified as BF-related genes. PPI network analysis showed that inducing apoptosis was the main effect of bufalin, and apoptosis-related gene Caspase 3 was the most reported by people. Bufalin could inhibit the proliferation, invasion, and metastasis of cancer cells through multiple signaling pathways, such as PI3K/AKT, Hedgehog, MAPK/JNK, Wnt/ β -catenin, TGF- β /Smad, Integrin signaling pathway, and NF-KB signaling pathway via KEGG analysis. Artificial intelligence (AI) is being used in our daily lives, in all situations and in particular those concerning service systems. However, there is an absence of the ability of the conceptual structure, thematic structure, intellectual structure, and research trends of AI and disruptive technologies in service systems. The main purpose of this study was to carry out a bibliometric analysis of the scientific production of AI and disruptive technologies in service systems based on Elsevier's Scopus database. To do so, keywords were chosen and then data outputs such as the number of published documents, top authors and citations, top journals, countries, and affiliations with the highest number of productions, and network analysis using R-based "biblioshiny" software. The main results showed the growing interest in the subject in the last five years, pointed out current themes and research trends, and revealed the intellectual structure of the field, namely the importance of smart services, cloud computing, and smart sustainable cities. The number of articles for this study reached 1,323, the growth rate has increased in the last five years and the main sources have been reported. China, South Korea and the USA were the leading countries on the subject, and the top 10 authors of influence showed. The word cloud and word growth were presented, as well as the co-citation clusters and co-occurrence network revealed important aspects, and finally the thematic map and the thematic evolution of the subject showed the important concepts. This paper analyzes funding patterns and their evolution in two medical research topics: breast cancer and ovarian cancer, taking into account cross-agency and cross-national co-funding. A bibliometric analysis of 355463 papers from PubMed (273526 on breast cancer and 81937 on ovarian cancer) brought back 91 funding agencies involved in breast cancer and 65 in ovarian cancer. Additionally, the paper examined the evolution of medical subject headings (MESH) funded by agencies. An analysis of patterns in funding, co-funding, MESH, and their evolution, was carried out using social network analysis (SNA) methodology. The results show the importance of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in both breast and ovarian cancer. The NCI achieves its policy goals by co-funding its programs with both national and cross-national agencies. Moreover, the MESH agencies co-funded in the two years studied coincided; however, it must be said that the number of agencies which participated in research funding also increased. Citation patterns are important to understanding the spread of technological ideas as science is essentially a cumulative activity. One feature only now being appreciated is the obsolescence or ageing patterns in citations and the insights their study can bring. There have been a number of studies examining, predicting, modeling and plotting citation delays, ageing and the publication cycle. These normally apply lognormal, log-logistic and Weibull distributions to scientific papers. This paper adds to this body of work by examining a set of 18 other distributions, and tests their predictive power on a new data set based on 10 years of ISI Citation data for 10 innovation centered journals. The resulting grouping of journals appears to be a useful proxy for academic-practitioner involvement and warrants further investigation. The finding that the three-parameter Inverse Gaussian provides the best fit to the data extends the understanding of this process. As well as allowing the classification of literature, this improved representation of citation obsolescence will allow us to predict earlier and more precisely those scientific ideas which are generating noteworthy attention or may be suitable for early exploitation. The aim of this paper is to investigate the most relevant conceptualizations of innovation taken into account by scholars, and the linkages among them. Over time, the increasing interest in this area has involved a great variety of actors and contexts in establishing the definition of different innovation labels; we chose to focus the analysis on 'system innovation', 'network innovation' and 'ecosystem innovation'. In order to observe the most relevant elements of each research stream and common aspects, a two-step analysis of literature contributions has been performed through a bibliometric analysis comparing the evidence emerging from one survey of keywords provided by authors and a second of keywords provided by editors. Through this kind of investigation the editors' keywords emerged as more objective, but nevertheless, by considering some of the different evidences obtained from the keywords provided by authors, the two-step analysis is useful to provide more complete results. This paper aims to represent the bibliometric characteristics of the American Historical Review (AHR) in an attempt to highlight the journal's contribution to the field of History as one of the leading journals in Journal Citation Reports (JCR). AHR has the highest impact factor among the other journals in its field, and has been bringing together scholars from all over the world since 1895. Although the field of History is known as localized and non-interdisciplinarity, the present study's findings reveal that AHR has different characteristics compared to traditional contributions to the field of History by other journals. In addition, the results show that approximately three quarters of AHR citations, from 67 different categories, are gathered by articles. This indicates that AHR has an increased degree of convergence with other disciplines. These findings may be interpreted as an indication that traditional historical scholarly communication is increasingly changing toward interdisciplinarity. However, it would be problematic to generalize these findings for all history literature, based on a single journal evaluation. This study suggests that AHR has become increasingly diversified and consequently no longer reflects the main characteristics of the field of History. In this paper, a bibliometric study of the computational intelligence field is presented. Bibliometric maps showing the associations between the main concepts in the field are provided for the periods 1996–2000 and 2001–2005. Both the current structure of the field and the evolution of the field over the last decade are analyzed. In addition, a number of emerging areas in the field are identified. It turns out that computational intelligence can best be seen as a field that is structured around four important types of problems, namely control problems, classification problems, regression problems, and optimization problems. Within the computational intelligence field, the neural networks and fuzzy systems subfields are fairly intertwined, whereas the evolutionary computation subfield has a relatively independent position. Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) is a sub-discipline of operations research aimed at evaluating alternatives in consideration of various criteria. It is used by practically everyone in their daily lives and professional settings. Seeing the great value of MCDM, we conduct a comprehensive review to propel its innovation and development forward. Compared with any other reviews, we do not focus on introducing its methods, but on tracing its evolution and characteristics. As a general rule, every discipline has its own developing laws. They can be understood on various levels and can point out the direction the discipline is heading for. We firmly believe that our work can bring insight into MCDM's frontiers and trend, which can eventually provide guidance on how to conduct the future research. In the first half of the paper, we investigate MCDM's paradigm through literature review and colloquially divide its story into four stages: the Stone Age, the Iron Age, the Industrial Age and the New Stage. The first three stages symbolise its debut, growth and prosperity. Each one has distinctive thoughts, techniques and application, and to some extent hints the major works of the next stage. Since the turn of the 21st century, the paradigm has been once again experiencing dramatic changes, suggesting that it is on the threshold of a new era. Thus, in the second half of the work, a bibliometric analysis of the present stage ensues. Put simply, we take a global view of the stage by visualizing the stage's publication quantity, publication distribution, and research categories. Then we design a snowballing co-citation method to explore its movements. The results demonstrate that MCDM is a dynamic, worldwide study for which China is the most productive country and the USA plays a pivot role in scholar communication. Method reviews, straightforward methods and MCDM-oriented fuzzy sets are predominant frontiers. The application, however, always changes with the requirements of the times. Now, it mainly refers to energy, environment, and supplier selection, while issues like sociology, tourism, education, etc. also emerge at a fast speed. Apart from this, experts have gradually shaken off the fetters of the traditional research style and are increasingly willing to structure methods and select application areas with a more personal touch. In the future, how to improve reviews, methods and fuzzy sets, how to understand and draw inspirations from society needs, and how experts can tailor MCDM to accommodate specific problems might be the pressing concerns. The Journal of Information and Knowledge Management (JIKM) published its first issue in 2002 and celebrated its 19th birthday in 2020. This study aims to assess JIKM performance over its lifetime between 2002 and 2020 by extracting data from the Scopus database and using a combined approach of bibliometric and content analysis. More specifically, we evaluate JIKM's productivity and stature, discuss its performance compared to other journals, and identify key contributing (authors, institutions, and countries), citation pattern, and conceptual structure. The results highlight JIKM's growing presence, which is reflected in the dual rise of publication activity and accumulated citation. JIKM becomes one of the preeminent journals in the area of knowledge management, with a broad range of scientific actors' contributions (authors, institutions and countries) from all over the world. Furthermore, using a bibliographic coupling, keywords' analysis, and co-authorship analysis, we analyse JIKM's content and identify the most frequent themes discussed. The analysis reveals that JIKM has expanded its scope from knowledge management to a new array of emerging technologies' topics such as artificial intelligence and data mining. Graphical visualization of similarities (VOSviewer and Rstudio) shows that the major themes published are clustered into four groups, mainly (i) sustainable knowledge, (ii) emerging technologies, (iii) information management, and (iv) organization culture and knowledge sharing. This study focuses on applying bibliometric analysis and text mining technique to generate technology intelligence from publication databases. The intelligence represents the research profile and landscape by highlighting active research areas and revealing professional communities along with their social networks. In this study, we investigated the academic literature on quantum technologies (QT) using bibliometric tools. We used a set of 49,823 articles obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database using a search query constructed through expert opinion. Analysis of this revealed that QT is deeply rooted in physics, and the majority of the articles are published in physics journals. Keyword analysis revealed that the literature could be clustered into three distinct sets, which are (i) quantum communication/cryptography, (ii) quantum computation, and (iii) physical realizations of quantum systems. We performed a burst analysis that showed the emergence and fading away of certain key concepts in the literature. This is followed by co-citation analysis on the "highly cited" articles provided by the WoS, using these we devised a set of core corpus of 34 publications. Comparing the most highly cited articles in this set with respect to the initial set we found that there is a clear difference in most cited subjects. Finally, we performed co-citation analyses on country and organization levels to find the central nodes in the literature. Overall, the analyses of the datasets allowed us to cluster the literature into three distinct sets, construct the core corpus of the academic literature in QT, and to identify the key players on country and organization levels, thus offering insight into the current state of the field.
