Graph mining is one of the significant tasks in the field of computer science. Most of the applications generate a vast amount of data which is represented with the help of a graph. Due to this graph representation, these applications have become complex and increased in size. Finding relevant information from that graph becomes a complicated task. For this community detection algorithms play a vital role in graph partitioning to retrieve relevant information. Finding communities in a graph reduces the complexity of the graph due to related data comes closer to forming a community. Many algorithms have been introduced in the last decade; the Clique percolation method (CPM) is the benchmark algorithm for finding an overlapping community. But in this method, some nodes remain unclassified, nodes that are not part of the clique. Paper proposed the clique-based Louvain algorithm(CBLA), which can classify the non-classified node (NCN) obtained after finding cliques in one of the communities by applying the Louvain algorithm. Louvain algorithm is used to classify the non-overlapped community, but with the help of cliques, it will also detect the overlapped nodes. The problem of two-sided matching markets is well-studied in computer science and economics, owing to its diverse applications across numerous domains. Since market participants are usually uncertain about their preferences in various online matching platforms, an emerging line of research is dedicated to the online setting where one-side participants (players) learn their unknown preferences through multiple rounds of interactions with the other side (arms). Sankararaman et al. [23] provide an Ω (N log ⁡ (T) Δ 2 + K log ⁡ (T) Δ) regret lower bound for this problem under serial dictatorship assumption, where N is the number of players, K (≥ N) is the number of arms, Δ is the minimum reward gap across players and arms, and T is the time horizon. Serial dictatorship assumes arms have the same preferences, which is common in reality when one side participants have a unified evaluation standard. Recently, the work of Kong and Li [10] proposes the ET-GS algorithm and achieves an O (K log ⁡ (T) Δ 2 ) regret upper bound, which is the best upper bound attained so far. Nonetheless, a gap between the lower and upper bounds, ranging from N to K , persists. It remains unclear whether the lower bound or the upper bound needs to be improved. In this paper, we propose a multi-level successive selection algorithm that obtains an O (N log ⁡ (T) Δ 2 + K log ⁡ (T) Δ) regret bound when the market satisfies serial dictatorship. In this paper, we discuss methods to assess the interestingness of a query in an environment of data cubes. We assume a hierarchical multidimensional database, storing data cubes and level hierarchies. We start with a comprehensive review of related work in the fields of human behavior studies and computer science. We define the interestingness of a query as a vector of scores along different aspects, like novelty, relevance, surprise and peculiarity and complement this definition with a taxonomy of the information that can be used to assess each of these aspects of interestingness. We provide both syntactic (result-independent) and extensional (result-dependent) checks, measures and algorithms for assessing the different aspects of interestingness in a quantitative fashion. We also report our findings from a user study that we conducted, analyzing the significance of each aspect, its evolution over time and the behavior of the study's participants. • We consider a variant of the online buffer management problem. • This variant is called the 2-bounded delay buffer management problem with lookahead. • We design an optimal online algorithm for this variant. The bounded delay buffer management problem, which was proposed by Kesselman et al. (STOC 2001 and SIAM Journal on Computing 33(3), 2004), is an online problem focusing on buffer management of a switch supporting Quality of Service (QoS). The problem definition is as follows: Packets arrive to a buffer over time and each packet is specified by the release time , deadline and value. An algorithm can transmit at most one packet from the buffer at each integer time and can gain its value as the profit if transmitting the packet by its deadline after its release time. The objective of this problem is to maximize the gained profit. We say that an instance of the problem is s -bounded if for any packet, an algorithm has at most s chances to transmit it. For any s ≥ 2 , Hajek (CISS 2001) showed that the competitive ratio of any deterministic algorithm is at least (1 + 5) / 2 ≥ 1.618. Recently, Veselý et al. (SODA 2019) designed an online algorithm matching the lower bound. Böhm et al. (ISAAC 2016 and Theoretical Computer Science, 2019) introduced the lookahead ability to an online algorithm. At a time t , the algorithm obtains information about packets arriving at time t + 1 , and showed that for s = 2 , there is an algorithm which achieves the competitive ratio of (− 1 + 13) / 2 ≤ 1.303. Also, they showed that the competitive ratio of any deterministic algorithm is at least (1 + 17) / 4 ≥ 1.280. Nash equilibrium is one of the most influential solution concepts in game theory. With the development of computer science and artificial intelligence, there is an increasing demand on Nash equilibrium computation, especially for Internet economics and multi-agent learning. This paper reviews various algorithms computing the Nash equilibrium and its approximation solutions in finite normal-form games from both theoretical and empirical perspectives. For the theoretical part, we classify algorithms in the literature and present basic ideas on algorithm design and analysis. For the empirical part, we present a comprehensive comparison on the algorithms in the literature over different kinds of games. Based on these results, we provide practical suggestions on implementations and uses of these algorithms. One of the popular metaheuristic search algorithms is Harmony Search (HS). It has been verified that HS can find solutions to optimization problems due to its balanced exploratory and convergence behavior and its simple and flexible structure. This capability makes the algorithm preferable to be applied in several real-world applications in various fields, including healthcare systems, different engineering fields, and computer science. The popularity of HS urges us to provide a comprehensive survey of the literature on HS and its variants on health systems, analyze its strengths and weaknesses, and suggest future research directions. In this review paper, the current studies and uses of harmony search are studied in four main domains. (i) The variants of HS, including its modifications and hybridization. (ii) Summary of the previous review works. (iii) Applications of HS in healthcare systems. (iv) And finally, an operational framework is proposed for the applications of HS in healthcare systems. The main contribution of this review is intended to provide a thorough examination of HS in healthcare systems while also serving as a valuable resource for prospective scholars who want to investigate or implement this method. Clustering is an essential tool in data mining research and applications. It is the subject of active research in many fields of study, such as computer science, data science, statistics, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Several clustering techniques have been proposed and implemented, and most of them successfully find excellent quality or optimal clustering results in the domains mentioned earlier. However, there has been a gradual shift in the choice of clustering methods among domain experts and practitioners alike, which is precipitated by the fact that most traditional clustering algorithms still depend on the number of clusters provided a priori. These conventional clustering algorithms cannot effectively handle real-world data clustering analysis problems where the number of clusters in data objects cannot be easily identified. Also, they cannot effectively manage problems where the optimal number of clusters for a high-dimensional dataset cannot be easily determined. Therefore, there is a need for improved, flexible, and efficient clustering techniques. Recently, a variety of efficient clustering algorithms have been proposed in the literature, and these algorithms produced good results when evaluated on real-world clustering problems. This study presents an up-to-date systematic and comprehensive review of traditional and state-of-the-art clustering techniques for different domains. This survey considers clustering from a more practical perspective. It shows the outstanding role of clustering in various disciplines, such as education, marketing, medicine, biology, and bioinformatics. It also discusses the application of clustering to different fields attracting intensive efforts among the scientific community, such as big data, artificial intelligence, and robotics. This survey paper will be beneficial for both practitioners and researchers. Influence Maximization Problem (IMP) is selecting a seed set of nodes in the social network to spread the influence as widely as possible. It has many applications in multiple domains, e.g., viral marketing is frequently used for new products or activities advertisement. While it is a classic and well-studied problem in computer science, unfortunately, all those proposed techniques are compromising among time efficiency, memory consumption, and result quality. In this paper, we conduct comprehensive experimental studies on the state-of-the-art IMP approximate approaches to reveal the underlying trade-off strategies. Interestingly, we find that even the state-of-the-art approaches are impractical when the propagation probability of the network have been taken into consideration. With the findings of existing approaches, we propose a novel residual-based approach (i.e., RCELF) for IMP , which (i) overcomes the deficiencies of existing approximate approaches, and (ii) provides theoretical guaranteed results with high efficiency in both time- and space-perspectives. We demonstrate the superiority of our proposal by extensive experimental evaluation on real datasets. • We reveal the trade-off strategies among the approximate approaches for IMP. • An effective and efficient approximate algorithm called RCELF is proposed. • The performance of RCELF is extensively evaluated on 5 real-world datasets. The shortest path problem, one of the most classical graph problems, has been addressed in many different ways suitable for various settings in the fields of computer science and artificial intelligence. In this paper, we revisit a distributed control solution, namely the continuous-time adaptive Bellman–Ford algorithm, to the shortest path problem. While previous work only concerned its global asymptotic stability, we not only prove its global asymptotic stability by formulating a Lyapunov function, but characterize the initial conditions under which the algorithm will converge exponentially, and show that the algorithm is globally ultimately bounded under persistent bounded perturbations based on the proposed Lyapunov function.
