Heavy metal contamination of soil poses risks and hazards to environment and human being. Many amendments were used to remediate the contaminated soil. In this report, paper sludge was used to reduce the bioavailability of Pb in soil, and the remediation mechanism was studied by investigating the redistribution of Pb speciation after paper sludge addition. In pot experiments, significantly increased weights of shoots (from 1.6 to 3.3 mg per plant) and roots (from 0.7 to 0.8 mg per plant), as well as significantly decreased Pb content in shoots (from 153.8 to 24.4 mg kg−1) and roots (from 467.1 to 38.0 mg kg−1) of rape were observed after paper sludge was added. The addition of paper sludge resulted in redistribution of Pb from the liable fractions (carbonate-bound Pb from 58.3 to 3.7%) to the Fe–Mn oxide-bound fraction (from 29.2 to 74.9%). Paper sludge addition increased the content of organic matters and pH of soil, and induced Pb redistribution, which ultimately inhibited Pb uptake and improved plant growth. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Due to environmental concerns, efforts are made to replace the use of peat in horticultural growth media by organic wastes. Four growth media were prepared with the purpose of achieving adequate physical and chemical properties for plant production. Materials and methods: Growth media prepared from mixtures of coir (C) and paper sludge (P), respectively, with two biogas digestates from food waste (D1 and D2), were tested. These mixtures, 20% D1 or D2 + 80% C or P (v/v), were evaluated as growth media for tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) and lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). Results and conclusion: The growth media were all physically stable during the growing period, provided all the macronutrients and most of the micronutrients necessary for plant growth, adequate pH conditions, as well as an adequate electrical conductivity. The mixture of D2 and P produced the highest biomass compared to a mineral fertilised peat (control), with a biomass production of 76% of the control for lettuce and 54% for tomato. Causes for the biomass reduction relative to the control may be related to ammonium toxicity effects, and/or limited plant-available water. The Sphenopalatine Ganglion (SPG) is known to play an integral role in the pathophysiology of a wide variety of orofacial pains involving the jaws, sinuses, eyes and the trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias. It supplies direct parasympathetic innervation to the trigeminal and facial nerves. Sympathetic innervation from the superior sympathetic chain passes thru the SPG to the trigeminal and facial nerves.This paper reviews relevant and significant literature on SPG Blocks and Neuromodulation published in peer reviewed medical and dental journals. Neuromuscular Dentistry employs ULF-TENS to relax musculature and simultaneously provide neuromodulation to the ganglion.Conclusion: The effects of ULF-TENS on the autonomic nervous system acts on the Limbic System and Hypothalamus (H-P-A) to address Axis II issues during neuromuscular dental procedures. P values linked to null hypothesis significance testing (NHST) is the most widely (mis)used method of statistical inference. Empirical data suggest that across the biomedical literature (1990–2015), when abstracts use P values 96% of them have P values of 0.05 or less. The same percentage (96%) applies for full-text articles. Among 100 articles in PubMed, 55 report P values, while only 4 present confidence intervals for all the reported effect sizes, none use Bayesian methods and none use false-discovery rate. Over 25 years (1990–2015), use of P values in abstracts has doubled for all PubMed, and tripled for meta-analyses, while for some types of designs such as randomized trials the majority of abstracts report P values. There is major selective reporting for P values. Abstracts tend to highlight most favorable P values and inferences use even further spin to reach exaggerated, unreliable conclusions. The availability of large-scale data on P values from many papers has allowed the development and applications of methods that try to detect and model selection biases, for example, p-hacking, that cause patterns of excess significance. Inferences need to be cautious as they depend on the assumptions made by these models and can be affected by the presence of other biases (e.g., confounding in observational studies). While much of the unreliability of past and present research is driven by small, underpowered studies, NHST with P values may be also particularly problematic in the era of overpowered big data. NHST and P values are optimal only in a minority of current research. Using a more stringent threshold, as in the recently proposed shift from P < 0.05 to P < 0.005, is a temporizing measure to contain the flood and death-by-significance. NHST and P values may be replaced in many fields by other, more fit-for-purpose, inferential methods. However, curtailing selection biases requires additional measures, beyond changes in inferential methods, and in particular reproducible research practices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The term ‘flutter’ and ‘fibrillation’ were first coined to differentiate the differences between fast, regular contractions in Atrial Flutter (AFLUT) with irregular, vermiform contractions of Atrial Fibrillation (AFIB). Management of these two diseases has been a challenge for physicians. Rate control (along with rhythm control) is the first line of management for symptomatic AFIB/AFLUT with Rapid Ventricular Rate (RVR). In some situations, atrial rhythms may not be well controlled by these anti-arrhythmic drugs, making cardioversion to sinus rhythm necessary. Anti-coagulation therapy in both the disease population is essential. Catheter ablation is an effective treatment option in certain patients that have AFIB/AFLUT refractory to medical management. Newer techniques like left atrial appendage (LAA) has been developed and is a highly attractive concept for the future in the management of AFIB/AFLUT. Newer novel drugs targeting specific ion channels are approaching the stages of clinical investigation. However, while advances in technologies have helped elucidate many aspects of these diseases, many mysteries still remain. Accurate and unified information from the increasingly remote sensing (RS) scenes is important for RS applications in multi-sectoral association services of natural resource management. However, these applications in mountain areas are limited by the challenging issues of random geometric distortions and erroneous spatial associations. The paper introduces digital elevation model (DEM) maps as a unified geographic reference to search and match homonymy ground points (HGPs). The proposed computer-based procedure was tested with Landsat TM, ETM and HJ-1B satellite images using ASTER global DEM in the Longitudinal Rang-gorge Valley Region of Southwest China. 1322, 3551 and 694 pairs of HGPs were identified and acquired the geometric accuracies with 43 m (TM), 14 m (ETM) and 123 m (HJ), respectively. The deviations are significantly reduced and the disjoint ground objects are matched. The aim of this review was to analyze and summarize the most common adverse events (AEs) and complications after magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) therapy in uterine fibroids (UFs) and to establish the risk factors of their occurrence. We searched for original research studies evaluating MRgFUS therapy in UFs with outcomes containing AEs and/or complications in different databases (PubMed/MEDLINE, SCOPUS, COCHRANE) until March 2022. Reviews, editorials, opinions or letters, case studies, conference papers and abstracts were excluded from the analysis. The systematic literature search identified 446 articles, 43 of which were analyzed. According to available evidence, the overall incidence of serious complications in MRgFUS therapy is relatively low. No AEs/complications were reported in 11 out of 43 analyzed studies. The mean occurrence of all AEs in the analyzed material was 24.67%. The most commonly described AEs included pain, skin burns, urinary tract infections and sciatic neuropraxia. Major AEs, such as skin ulcerations or deep vein thrombosis, occurred in 0.41% of cases in the analyzed material. MRgFUS seems to be safe in UF therapy. The occurrence of AEs, especially major ones, is relatively low in comparison with other methods. The new devices and more experience of their users seem to reduce AE rate. The lack of unification in AE reporting and missing data are the main issues in this area. More prospective, randomized studies with unified reporting and long follow-up are needed to determine the safety in a long-term perspective. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The global biodiversity crisis and constantly growing human impact on the natural environment call for more evidence where conservation actions are the most urgent. As the agricultural lands are under increased pressure of growing human food needs here the literature survey on farmland bird conservation (FBC) was conducted to reveal geographical distribution in research intensity, the topics addressed and to identify potential drivers for the worldwide scientific effort. The Scopus database search has revealed 2290 papers dedicated to FBC from the period 1990-2020. The distribution was spatially uneven with most papers published in Western Europe and North America. Scientific collaboration was also spatially biased in favor of countries located close to each other and having high scientific capacity. The analysis also revealed 139 terms representing main topics raised in FBC research. The number of FBC papers per country was positively correlated with Gross Domestic Production (GDP), the total number of scientific papers, and number of threatened species, and negatively with the GDP from agricultural production, whereas it was not related to area of agricultural lands or bird species richness. Spatial and thematic biases in studies of farmland birds may have important consequences since uneven scientific evidence constrains development of proper conservation solutions and limits their implementation. We conclude that research on FBC should be globally coordinated and flexible enough to undertake burning conservation problems adjusted to regional differences in agriculture, socio-economy, and bird diversity. Polistes hebraeus (Smith) is a common paper wasp species of subfamily Polistinae. The clinical potential allergic reaction after stings and valuable venom components of P. hebraeus make it a medical importance species. Here, the mitochondrial genome of P. hebraeus was analyzed. The mitogenome was 19,262 bp in length including 22 transfer RNAs (tRNA) and 2 ribosomal RNAs (rRNA). The protein coding gene (PCGs) number and order are consistent with existing records of Polistidae. The nucleotide composition is AT: 84.5% and CG: 15.5% which are largely similar with other complete Polistidae mitogenome (15.27 ∼ 19.16%). The available mitogenome resources of Polistidae species and P. hebraeus were used to construct the phylogenetic tree. It showed that the genus Polistes could clearly seperated from Parapolybia, and the relationship in Polistes was consistent with previous studies. Increasing attention has been paid to the next generation of 'green' electronic devices based on renewable nanocellulose, owing to its low roughness, good thermal stability and excellent optical properties. Various proof-of-concept transparent nanopaper-based electronic devices have been fabricated; these devices exhibit excellent flexibility, bendability and even foldability. In this review, we summarize the recent progress of transparent nanopaper that uses different types of nanocellulose, including pure nanocellulose paper and composite nanocellulose paper. The latest development of transparent and flexible nanopaper electronic devices are illustrated, such as electrochromic devices, touch sensors, solar cells and transistors. Finally, we discuss the advantages of transparent nanopaper compared to conventional flexible plastic substrate and the existing challenges to be tackled in order to realize this promising potential. The intent of the present research work is to explore the prospect of replacing natural soil used in brick making by some extent with industrial waste, that is, lime mud, as obtained from paper mill waste. Extensive adoption of this mill waste as a brick making material will deter the environmental effects of this waste disposal. Moreover, its adoption will not only solve the problem of stocked waste piles but also scale down the usage of natural soil as a brick making material. In consideration of the central intend of this study to utilize industrial waste as an alternate raw material, yet another industrial waste—fly ash, has also been blended to the mix to manufacture unburnt bricks, such that, it may produce cementitious compounds with lime mud. So, the materials used for brick making in this study are: lime mud, collected from the dumping site of M/s Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited, Jagiroad, Assam, India; soil, collected from a brick manufacturing unit also near Jagiroad; and fly ash, collected from National Thermal Power Station, Badarpur, Delhi, India. The materials have been characterized with respect to their chemical and geotechnical properties. Then, experiments have been conducted on hand-moulded bricks of aforementioned mix in distinct proportions. In this study, all the bricks have been dried in the natural condition and then tested for compressive strength conforming to International standards. It has been duly noted that none of the treated unburnt bricks satisfies the requirements of standard codes. Nonetheless, in case of burnt bricks, the compressive strength satisfies the requirements of International standard codes wherein lime mud has been added up to a certain percentage (=20%) in soil-lime mud mix. Cenobamate is a new antiseizure medication (ASM) recently introduced in the USA for the treatment of adults with focal-onset seizures. In March 2021, the European Commission authorized its use for the adjunctive treatment of focal-onset seizures with or without secondary generalization (focal seizures with or without progression to bilateral tonic-clonic seizures, according to current ILAE terminology) in adults with epilepsy not adequately controlled despite the treatment with at least two ASMs. This review summarizes the mechanism of action, efficacy, and safety of Cenobamate. The authors provide their expert opinions on the use of this drug. The aim of this paper is to report on the Italian preliminary experience with the use of cenobamate, focusing on treatment goals, optimal dosing and titration schedules, strategies to minimize adverse effects, and identification of suitable candidates for treatment. There was agreement that slow titration may improve tolerability, and that clinically significant benefit can be achieved in many patients at relatively low doses. A favorable response to relatively low doses of cenobamate could be an early predictor of ultimate responsiveness. Lithium treatment is considered the gold standard for the long-term management of bipolar disorder and recurrent unipolar depression. It is also extremely effective in other psychiatric conditions characterized by impulsivity and aggression, and for the prevention of suicidal behaviours. This paper provides a scoping review and an expert commentary regarding the use of lithium in adult patients. Available information about efficacy, tolerability, dosing, and switching is analyzed, and the strategies that may be most useful in real-world clinical settings are highlighted. Lithium is effective on different domains of bipolar disorder, including the long-term prevention of recurrences of affective episodes, management of acute mania as well as in the prophylaxis of all affective episodes. Lithium has been defined a 'forgotten drug,' since its use in routine clinical practice has been declined over the last 20 or 30 years. Reasons for this trend include lack of adequate training on the management of lithium side effects. Considering its efficacy, use of lithium in ordinary clinical practice should be promoted. One of the uses of particle board is in the design of speaker/woofer casing, but with increasing demand, the cost is skyrocketing, effects of which lead to the high cost of end-use woofer gadgets. Cement–paper composite reinforced with snail shell powder/banana fiber was developed as an alternative. The fiber was grouped into two; untreated banana fiber (UBF) and treated banana fiber (TBF) (treated with 1 M NaOH). Fibers were infused into the composite at 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, and 2.5% by weight of paper pulp while snail shell powder was added at 15 wt.% constant proportion for all samples produced. Curing was carried out for 28 and 56 days, respectively. The composite boards produced were examined for physical, mechanical, and microstructural properties. Results obtained indicated an uptrend in water absorption and thickness swelling at increasing fiber loading. Internal bond strength, screw holding strength, moduli of rupture, and elasticity were observed to be enhanced with increment in fiber proportion. It was further noticed that alkaline TBF performed better than the untreated fiber, hence recommended for paperboard production. Experimental trend and performance analysis engaged in revealed hydration to be the most efficient experimental variable and important for overall property maximization in cement–paper composite. Performance evaluation conducted showed effective property index was noticed to be highest for composite board doped with 2.5 wt.% TBF. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A novel and highly sensitive immunochromatographic strip based on a monoclonal antibody (3A9) was developed for the detection of cadmium in tap water. The 50% inhibition concentration of the antibody, which showed no cross-reactivity with other heavy metal ions, was 0.45 ng/mL and it recognized Cd(II)-1-(4-isothiocyanobenzyl) ethylenediamine-N,N,N′,N′-tetraacetic acid (EDTA) (Cd(II)-ITCBE) and not metal-free ITCBE and EDTA. The cutoff value for semi-quantitative detection of the strip was 5 ng/mL and the lower limit of detection for quantitative detection was 0.2 ng/mL using a scanning reader. Using digital data collection devices in the field is now commonplace among many faculty and students. However, there is less attention to how the use of GPS units, tablets and devices transforms or alters our understanding of the field itself. Does the embrace of the digital simply replace paper, or does it fundamentally transform our ways of knowing? What do we gain and what do we lose as we move from paper to digital in the acts of doing fieldwork? What are the limits of technology in the field and after the field? In this paper, I wrestle with these questions through my own fieldwork experiences through two story-telling narratives. In the first, I discuss the process of documenting pastoralists' cattle movement through GPS units, while in the second I relay the process of using tourists as volunteer citizen scientists for wildlife monitoring efforts. Through these examples, I demonstrate a number of key lessons for fieldwork with digital devices and call for a more thorough understanding of the dialectics between devices and users. The laser induced forward transfer and sintering of metal nanoparticle inks has been proven a key enabling technology for flexible electronics. Nevertheless, many challenges concerning the conformal processing of non-planar substrates incorporating thermally sensitive layers are yet to be addressed. In this work, we study the behaviour of conformal laser printing of silver nanoparticle inks on patterned samples comprising sensitive underlying structures, by correlating the laser sintering powers employed to the undesired effects on the adjacent interfaces. The latter include demanding surface topographies with periodic patterns and microcomponents exhibiting aspect ratio in the nano to 100-micron scale. We investigate the contribution of crucial processing parameters, such as the per pulse energy, repetition rate and the pulse to pulse spatial and temporal overlap to the overall result. The demonstrated results validate the versatility of laser processing which can offer application specific solutions on different use cases involving multilayered and multimaterial electronics. Kirigami is an art of paper cutting, which can be used in mechanical metamaterials, actuators, and energy absorption based on its deployable and load-deflection characteristics. Traditional cuts with zero width produce undesirable plastic deformation or even tear fracture due to stress concentration in stretching. This study proposes to enlarge the cut width into a notch flexure, which is applied to an orthogonality-cutted kirigami sheet, which buckles out of plane into a 3D configuration patterns under uniaxial tension. The use of compliant beam as the notch makes the stress distribution around the cuts more uniform in both elastic and elastoplastic regime. The experimental and numerical results show that by tuning the geometric parameters of cuts and material properties of the sheets, the trigger condition of 3D patterns can be adjusted. Potential capability of tunable phononic wave propagation in this kirigami-inspired metamaterial is demonstrated. This design methodology offers a theoretical guide for kirigami-based structures. The global increase in electrical device consumption has escalated the demand for excellent surge protectors. As a state-of-the-art technology, varistor has received considerable attention due to its outstanding versatility and wide range of applications. Hence, it is crucial to understand the development trend of varistor to expand the collaboration networks and propel its advancement. In this bibliometric article, several procedures were presented and analyzed to determine the global research trend of varistor based on the publication output each year, leading countries, most prolific authors, and co-occurrences of author keywords. After several stages of collecting and refining the textual information from the Scopus database, a total number of 2122 research articles and conference papers were retrieved between 1951 and 2021. Results show that since 1975, the annual number of publications has increased significantly, with 2020 recording the highest value of 1363 articles. China, the United States, South Korea, and Japan contributed around 60% of the total articles published. Moreover, three of the most prolific institutions associated with the research topic were ranked among the top 200 universities globally. The genus ofListeriaconsists of heterologous species and its presence in the food chain is an indicator of poor hygiene. However, a portable and simple paper sensor for detection of listeria spp. with high accuracy was still unknown. In this study, we prepared a pair of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) that specifically recognize the P60 protein on the cell surface ofListeriaspp. The selected pair was found to be sensitive to both the P60 protein and cell body of the genusListeria. On this basis, a rapid paper sensor was established for sensitiveListeriaspp. detection. The developed paper sensor broadly cross-reacted with the 12 tested strains ofListeriaand the sensitivity in PBS buffer was 103–104colony-forming units (CFU) judged by the gray values of the test line. No cross-reaction with any other gram-positive or gram-negative strains tested was observed. In 2011, Texas experienced record heat and drought that escalated concerns about environmental flows for rivers. In response to these worries, fishes and water quality were sampled in the Lower Neches River, Texas, from May-August 2012 during continued drought. Potential effects of hydrology on environmental parameters and assemblages of small (seine samples) and large (gillnet samples) fishes were evaluated at multiple locations. Approximately 1 km downstream from the saltwater barrier, paper mill effluent discharges into the river. Salinity was higher and dissolved oxygen lower below the saltwater barrier during low-flow intervals. Fish species richness in seine samples, was higher when the barrier was open, and species richness for both gear types was lowest at sites closest to the paper mill effluent discharge. Overall, species richness was higher at sites below the barrier, with more estuarine and marine species present. When the barrier was closed, richness and abundance of sensitive freshwater species were lower below the barrier. Closure of the barrier during drought results in accumulation of dissolved organic compounds from paper mill effluent and lower dissolved oxygen in the reach below the barrier. The purpose of this paper is twofold. Firstly, certain common fixed point theorems are established via φ-contractive multivalued mappings involving point-dependent control functions as coefficients in the framework of complex valued metric spaces. Our results improve and extend several results in the existing literature. Moreover, this section is equipped by some illustrative examples in support of our results. Secondly, we point out some slip-ups in the examples of some recent papers based on multivalued contractive mappings in complex valued metric spaces. Due to the proliferation of information available online and through academic libraries, students are increasingly reading from the screen. Academic documents can be long and complex, requiring sustained concentration to read deeply. This paper reviews current literature on the advantages and disadvantages of electronic and paper media for academic reading. Theoretical and empirical research into screen reading in academic institutions falls broadly into the following categories; reading and comprehension theory, the effect of a document’s platform, design and tools on reading, and screen versus paper research studies. These categories inform and provide the structure for this review. This paper concludes by considering how academic librarians can manage their collections and deliver library services in response to recent screen reading research. This overview of the literature on reading theory, the platforms and tools integral to reading electronic documents, and screen versus paper reading research, will enable academic librarians to make more informed collection management and library service decisions. With the maturity of information and communication technology (ICT), numerous innovative applications are proposed in different arenas including smart living environments. Technology-enabled smart living has transformed the traditional living system to an enhanced user satisfaction model by providing a balanced environment, thus, securing the residents from disruptions and risks. Besides these magnified advantages, it is found almost full of faints in emergency situations. The researchers and architects put their full potential towards the development of new applications, but no significant attention is paid to analyze the existing designs to identify flaws and suggest enhanced solutions accordingly. To bridge this gap in the literature, this paper presents a comprehensive review to evaluate the capabilities of available smart home designs to counter any emergency situations. Along with highlighting safety, healthcare, and many other unwanted challenges, we also discussed the key problems that obfuscate the trustworthiness of smart homes for its residents. Moreover, the design limitations to present an early alarming and automatic evacuation mechanism especially for deaf, blind, and other visually impaired people is another big challenge to tackle. The market of courier, express and parcel services (CEP) is characterized by the presence of requests for the transfer of goods and documents. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the global postal and CEP infrastructure played a key role in enabling governments to respond to the emerging challenges. In this paper, the competitiveness and the rank of four observed CEP service providers are analyzed using ratio indicators, the Ordinal Priority Approach method (OPA) and the Weighted Sum Method (WSM). We use the OPA method because there is no need for a pairwise comparison matrix and no need for normalization. The paper aims to examine the liquidity, economy and profitability of CEP service providers to get a true picture of the situation in the market of postal and CEP services in the Serbia. In the analysis of business performance and the implementation of the OPA method, the opinions of experts were taken into account. This paper yields a key insight: the identification of the top-performing provider within the group of service providers is accomplished through the utilization of both the OPA and WSM methods. A literature review on the order picking process in warehouses is presented for delineating the trends in time of research topics in this field. A total of 269 journal papers published between 2007 and 2022 were retrieved from Scopus. After a methodological classification, descriptive analyses were performed on authors, journals, subject area and top publishing countries. Bibliometric tools were used to map the topics covered by the reviewed studies, categorise them and determine possible relationships. Papers' contents were evaluated in terms of eight categories, including five typical issues of order picking systems, plus three aspects dealing with the characteristics of the application. Insights about the extent to which these aspects have been covered in the literature are derived; relationships between the various aspects of the picking process are also delineated. Several studies have investigated the relationship between the energy performance of buildings and housing prices. First, this paper identifies a price premium for energy efficiency within the German rental market. Then, the indexed price differences and associated marginal benefits are compared with the marginal costs of energy retrofits. An extensive database of Germany's largest online platform for housing over a time span from 2016 to 2020 is used in a hedonic regression approach. In addition, to extract the marginal costs of energy consumption abatement, a dataset of 1048 rental units regarding green-retrofit measures is utilized. Although a significant green premium is identified in the rental market, the findings suggest that it is not high enough to compensate landlords for the money they have to spend to retrofit. The marginal costs exceed the marginal benefits by far. Furthermore, it is found that the German government's recent plans to split the carbon tax between landlords and tenants do not change this because the price per metric ton of carbon is insufficiently high. Limitations with respect to the data basis and consequently to the interpretation of the results exist. Knowledge is an essential ingredient for economic development, growth and gaining a competitive advantage. In order to produce novel and valuable knowledge, it is advantageous, perhaps vital, to rely on insights gained from prior research efforts. Those knowledge spillovers (KS) provide the rationale for sustained economic growth and produce unique place-based knowledge spaces. Due to the spatial embeddedness and stickiness of knowledge, most investigations mainly pay attention to the localized nature of KS, but what about those spillovers from other jurisdictions, or perhaps even from across the globe? To analyse the role played by international KS, the present study investigates to what extent international KS shape the evolution of the UK science and technology space. The first step involves creating knowledge spaces following the methodology outlined by Kogler et al. (2013; 2017) for the period 2006-15. Subsequently, we are following the paper trail of publications and patents developed by UK authors and inventors to depict to what degree international KS in specific science and technology domains have contributed to the production of novel knowledge in the UK. The results indicate that four out of five citations made in publications and patents in the UK are the works of authors and inventors residing elsewhere. This has important policy implications considering recent tendencies to curtail trade and the free movement of labour, all of which contribute to the diffusion of knowledge. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The paper mulberry, Broussonetia kazinoki × Broussonetia papyifera, is a species within the family Moraceae, also is an economic and ecological plant. Complete chloroplast genome of paper mulberry was reported in this study. The total genome size was 160,903 bp in length, which is separated by a large single copy (LSC) region and a small single copy (SSC) region (89,220 and 20,079 bp in length, respectively). There were a total of 134 predicted functional genes, including 80 protein-coding genes (PCGs), eight ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes, and 46 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes. The overall G + C content of the paper mulberry chloroplast genome was 35.74%, while the corresponding values of the LSC, SSC, and IR regions are 33.33%, 28.50%, and 42.72%, respectively. Lightweight glass-ceramic from waste material consists of (x) paper ash- (80-x) cullet – 20 Kaolin clay where (10 ≤ x ≤ 30 weight %) are sintered at 900°C, 1000°C and 1100°C using conventional solid-state reaction technique. The influence of composition and sintering temperature on density, crystalline phase, porosity and surface pore morphology was studied. The crystal symmetry, space group and unit cell dimensions which are executed from XRD data are analyzed using SmartLab Studio II Powder XRD software. Meanwhile, the lattice parameter, cell volume, theoretical densities and porosity were estimated by Rietveld refinement method. The results reveal that all parameters exhibit a temperature-dependent character, as the temperature is increased, the density decreases and porosity increases due to bloating effects. It is also found out that the glass-ceramic compose of 25 paper ash −55 cullet-20 Kaolin clay, sintered at 900°C exhibits an optimum characteristic of the sample density reached optimum because of vitrification between cullet glass, paper ash and kaolin clay to form liquid phase which promotes adhesion and polymerization. A science, business, or law that is basing its validity on the level ofp-values,tstatistics and other tests of statistical significance is looking less and less relevant and more and more unethical. Today’s economist uses a lot of wit putting a clever index of opportunity cost into his models; but then, like the amnesiac, he fails to see opportunity cost in statistical estimates he makes of those same models. Medicine, psychology, pharmacology and other fields are similarly damaged by this fundamental error of science, keeping bad treatments on the market and good ones out. A few small changes to the style of the published research paper using statistical methods can bring large beneficial effects to more than academic research papers. It is suggested that misuse of statistical significance be added to the definition of scientific misconduct currently enforced by the NIH, NSF, Office of Research Integrity and others.
