The article reports on the defects on the modernization of the National Health Service (NHS) in Great Britain. 80 NHS trusts in the North West and West Midlands area of England have been without their information technology systems for a while due to storage area network failure of the data center in Kent and the inaccessibility of the back-up systems. As a result, several NHS staff will have to enter the backlog of information that is accumulating up on paper.
