Knowledge sharing (KS) is an integral part of knowledge management (KM) and can be simply expressed as the process of making knowledge available to others. The research reported in this paper discusses Chinese social networks where knowledge sharing (KS) occurs between IT Professionals in China. Social networks in this study are defined as a series of social interactions that form intimate and reciprocal relations and in which knowledge and information are exchanged. In China, where social networks (like Wechat, Weibo, Zhihu, Xiaomuchong, LinkedIn and ResearchGate) have become part of the relationship-building fabric of Chinese professional communities, knowledge is customarily shared in these social networks where it spreads in "viral" modes far beyond the initial sharing intention or objectives. This phenomena has been addressed in journalistic outlets and popular media (blogs), but has not been studied systematically by KM academics in China. This paper aims to address this gap and uses an inductive grounded theory approach to research the nature of the Chinese social networks where knowledge sharing routinely occurs as an integral part of the working practices of the software/IT industry in China. The research suggest that KS trough these social networks does not seem to be confined to the boundaries of the company, but also involves friends, web-based communities of practice (CoP), professional networks, social media networks and even sharing with competing organisations. Within these social networks different social circles co-exist: personal circles, professional circles, organisational circles, informal circles and web-based communities of practice. The study shows that, in modern China there is no clear boundary between these types of social circles and that due to the affordances of network applications, social media and Chinese cultural traits, practitioners share their experiences and knowledge with others for a number of reasons ranging from professional needs, organisational requirement and advertisement as well as because they have strong trust relationships with each other. Participating in online social networks has already become part of internet users' life, which also influenced the interactive style of people tremendously. Therefore, building a relational network with customers through online social network to publicize Taiwanese products and brands has become a prime issue. Differentiating cultures in relational networks is a basic task for Taiwanese enterprises, thus Chinese guanxi theory should be applied on online social networks in Chinese cultural areas to help building up relational networks and strategies. This paper details our study findings, which indicate the attitude toward online social network advertisements has a significant impact on purchase intention; moreover, online social network has a significant impact on customer attitude towards social network advertising. Meanwhile, Chinese guanxi theory provides significant predictors of online social network advertisements and the attitude towards it. The result shows that after joining advertising in online social network, members pay more attention to the advertisements in online social network as well. Several decades since its uprising, knowledge management (KM) has now filtered companies all across the globe. Issues like knowledge economy, intellectual capital, social capital and renewal have become part of the standard language of strategy processes and business magazines. However, even though main ideas of KM have spread, there are surprisingly few studies exploring what actually really is done in firms related with KM outside few countries where KM originated. Therefore, we still lack a bigger picture that could reveal to which extent KM is actually applied in various companies, especially operating in various cultural and economic contexts. Also, as KM has spread around the world, it would be interesting to know what kind of national differences there are in KM practices between firms operating in different countries. This paper aims to address the aforementioned gaps. It examines and compares the current state of KM in 3 very different countries: Finland, Russia and China. The data collected with a web-based survey consists of 74 Chinese, 84 Finnish and 64 Russian companies. We analyze the data statistically to examine the state of KM and to explore country differences in KM practices and results. We start by examining general awareness about KM, the terminology used for it, as well as resources that companies spend on it. Next, we address a number of KM practices that include strategic management of knowledge, organizational culture, HRM practices, organizational structure and ICT tools that are aimed to support efficient usage of knowledge in organizations. Finally, we discuss perceptions of KM outcomes. This paper contributes to the deeper understanding of KM practice in real organizations functioning in different cultural, social and economic environments and thus is be of interest for a wide audience of KM experts. Nowadays the demands for mass storage, efficient computing, and real-time sharing from statistical data pose a great series of threaten to the Chinese current statistical systems. Statistical departments moving to national statistical system based-on cloud computing may gain benefits such as cost saving, efficiency improving, and flexibility and scalability of services. Therefore, in this paper, cloud service models can be introduced. Also by analyzing the demands for cloud computing from statistics and the advantages of cloud computing applying to statistics, the basic architecture of national statistical system platform based-on cloud computing can be proposed, in order to solve current problems of mass storage, efficient computing, and real-time sharing from statistical data. Much of the available literature on Enterprise Systems (ES) is set in the context of (large) Western organizations, with an emphasis on the user perspective. The survey method is dominant in this literature, with a focus on what motivates a firm to implement ES and on the factors that are critical to implementation success. In the main such survey work treats ES implementation as an event with the analysis focused on input factors and outputs. In contrast, this paper presents a broader based examination of ES implementation in Chinese companies - in this case SMEs - by considering not only the user perspective but also those of the ES provider and the wider institutional setting. Additionally, the use of the case study method captures the dynamics of the implementation process and the changing relationships between the stakeholders. Both actor network theory and institutional theory inform the analysis. The findings are potentially significant and challenge user-centered theories of adoption. This paper reports on a research project that aimed at identifying the professional and personal experience from individuals in the SMEs in the Software (SW) industry sector in China. This study employed an inductive qualitative approach based on a single case study and grounded theory (GT) data analysis. The SW company is a SME that specialises in multimedia SW research and development and is located in Xiamen City (Fujian Province, South of China). Six participants, selected on the basis of their role in SW design and development, were interviewed using a semi-structured interview script. These in-depth interviews ranged from 100 to 120 minutes in length. After completing the open coding of the six interview transcripts, the researcher obtained 121 codes and 215 quotations from the interview data. These codes were grouped and organized into a category hierarchy that included 6 main structured categories as the result of axial coding. The results of the study enabled the development of a taxonomy and classification of tacit knowledge related to experience in the different stages of the SW development process. The study also showed that each identified category of tacit knowledge is not necessarily confined to one specific SW development stage or even to a specific role in the process. Effectively integrating archive resources for their optimal utilization is becoming increasingly important. There is, however, a lack of studies on the mechanisms and frameworks for facilitating the integration of archival resources towards their optimal utilization. This paper proposes a knowledge management based framework for facilitating the optimal utilization of national archive resources through their effective integration in China. Such a framework can rearrange the role of knowledge management in collaboration to protect the value of national archive resources as the knowledge asset of a state. It can reengineer knowledge management activities in communication to share the value of national archive resources as the knowledge asset in a society. Furthermore, the framework can reconfigure knowledge management artifacts in connectivity to increase the value of national archive resources as the knowledge asset of the public. The framework takes the advantages of existed mechanisms on the integration of national archive resources to facilitate their optimal utilization.
