This article presents information on the all female rock band Magneta Lane's debut album "The Constant Lover." The three young women in Magneta Lane bring an authentic confidence to the genre. Following in the steps of garage rock revivalists like The Strokes, Magneta Lane offers a sound largely influenced by popular rock from the 1970s. Valentine's strength as a vocalist has certainly helped the group find an audience. Her low, sometimes husky voice helps round out hook-laden tunes like "Medusa" and "The Constant Lover." Magneta Lane was quick to earn a deal with indie label Paper Bag Records, and critical success followed soon after.
