Abstract
An encyclopedia entry is presented for Edward Page Granville Holderness, physician, of Chenoa, Illinois. He was born on November 5, 1832 in Manchester, England and received his medical degree from Missouri Medical College in St. Louis in 1860. He allegedly discovered the use of antiseptics during the spread of Asiatic cholera in June 1855 which was published in a medical journal of Columbus, Ohio.
