Introduction: The main causes of chronic kidney disease (CKD) are diabetic and hypertensive nephropathy. The incidence of civilization diseases is increasing, which also indirectly affects the increase in the incidence of CKD. The patient's therapy after the diagnosis should include the care of a multi-specialist therapeutic team that will remove as many restrictions as possible in everyday functioning and ensure a high quality of life. In addition to the selection of individual renal replacement therapy, i.a. physical rehabilitation. Despite the fact that in the course of chronic kidney disease physical activity is impaired by numerous pathophysiological processes, the patient should be encouraged to undertake physical activity in order to reduce the risk of death due to cardiovascular diseases, as well as to eliminate many other adverse health effects of the disease. The following paper aims to analyze the impact of physical activity on CKD patients and the pathophysiological causes of low physical activity in this group of patients and the possibility of implementing rehabilitation as an element of comprehensive therapy. AIM OF THE PAPER: Evaluation of influence of physical activity on selected perinatal parameters. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study included 300 women in physiological pregnancy. The group was divided to physical active and non-physical active women by KAPAS survey which they fill out retrospectively. Both groups were identical in counts. Selected perinatal parameters were monitored such as: increase of body mass, in which week the pregnancy ended, necessity of using induction labor or supply with synthetic oxytocin and crotch injuries. The respondents of both groups fill up the KAPAS questionnaire second time up to 7 days after labor to assess physical activity during pregnancy. RESULTS: Both groups were homogenic in terms of somatic features. Increase of body mass was statistically significant lover in group of physically active women compare to non-active women. Birth mass of infant was significantly higher in the group of physically non-active women. It was proved that there is significant differences in physical activity during pregnancy between both groups. There were dependency between age and delivery term in physically active women. There were strong relationship between week when the pregnancy ended and necessity of using induction labor in both groups. There were no relationship between supplying with synthetic oxytocin during labor, crotch injuries and physical activity. CONCLUSION: Physical activity during pregnancy decreased the percentage of labor with inductive delivery and prevents weight gain during pregnancy. Women that were active before pregnancy sustained there physical activity during pregnancy. Women that weren’t active before pregnancy also weren’t active during pregnancy. Physical activity have no relationship with crotch injury or necessity of using synthetic oxytocin during labor.

PURPOSE Physical activity has been defined as each physical effort, that is muscular work, with a range of functional changes in the body that accompanies it. It is a significant factor in the proper development of humans and a component of a healthy lifestyle. Exercise is also an intrinsic element of rehabilitation for persons with various types of disabilities; one of them is autistic disorder where difficulties in social interactions, disorders in communication and occurrence of limited, stiff, stereotypical behaviour patterns are present. In this paper children with autism are the subject of interest, whereas its object is physical activity in this group. The cognitive objective is to present forms of physical activity that are available and practiced by these children. The practical objective is to expand knowledge on this subject among autistic children. MATERIALS AND METHODS The tests were carried out among parents of autistic children writing blogs concerning their children. The research method was a diagnostic poll, the tool was an independent (own) interview. Information on ten boys with autism spectrum have been presented in the paper. RESULTS Information concerning undertaken forms of physical activity among autistic boys was specified. The types of activity available and viable in autistic disorders were described. None of the boys whose details have been specified in the present work understands the rules of team sport games. All subjects, however, feel good in water environment. All subjects have sensory integration disorders, which to a large extent limits the taking up of specific forms of exercise. CONCLUSIONS Physical activity is a very important stimuli in autistic children’s development. Developmental characteristics in autistic children is connected with the type of physical activity undertaken by them.

Grupę docelową w obu badaniach stanowili zawodnicy rywalizujący w zawodach sportowych we wskazanych dyscyplinach. Ankiety SCAT były anonimowe. Ankietowani, w liczbie prawie 350, pochodzili z Polski, Czech, Niemiec i Belgii. Analiza wyników wykazała rozbieżności pomiędzy wynikami testu SCAT i testu CSAI-2d, co spowodowane mogło być małą liczebnością jednej z badanych grup (20 osób). W obu badaniach lęk przedstartowy został oceniony na podobnym poziomie. Summary The main aim of this paper was to compare whether the level of perceived anxiety and pre-competition stress tested with SCAT and CSAI-2d among the athletes representing swimming and water rescue sports. The paper was based on article Competitive Anxiety in lifesavers and Swimmers (Avramidou E., Avramidis, S., Pollman R., 2007) printed in the International Journal of Aquatic Research and Education from the use of psychological test CSAI-2d and own research conducted by the author with SCAT test (all the work was carried out in 2013-2015). The target group consisted of athletes competing in a specific discipline. SCAT Surveys were anonymous. The respondents in the number of nearly 350, came from the Poland, Czech Republic, Germany and Belgium. Analysis of the results showed a discrepancy between the results of the CSAI-2d test and the SCAT test, which could be due to the small sample size of respondents group (20 athletes). In both studies, however, the level of anxiety has been evaluated at a similar level.

The purpose of this paper was to determine the level of physical activity and healthy nutrition in children aged 3-6 years from Mitrovica. The research was attended by 94 children aged 3 - 6 years from two kindergartens in Mitrovica. As a parameter that measured the weight and height of the children, it was calculated with the standardized procedure of Body Mass Index (BMI) then was calculated according to the standard formula used by (Betterhealth, 2016). Also, after extracting other information through the questionnaire, a quantitative research was conducted through the parents of 94 children who were part of the measurements. A questionnaire was used to collect the data, which was previously translated and adapted into Albanian with permission to use it. The questionnaire was combined by three different questionnaires such as: the lifestyle questionnaire (Wilson et al., 2008), the physical activity questionnaire Pre-PAQ test (Dwyer et al., 2011) and the nutrition questionnaire (Rysha et al., 2017). The data collected during the research were placed in the statistical program SPSS version 21.0, and the presentation of this data was done through a descriptive analysis. The results that came from this research showed that the effect of physical activity, lifestyle and nutrition have quite a high impact on body mass index in children. From the results we saw that the children of the two kindergartens from the municipality of Mitrovica did quite well in terms of physical activity, where in the questionnaires that were answered 89.4% of children were active more than an hour a day by walking and doing other activities. Also, the results regarding the questions in which they were asked about the time that children use the phone were at a satisfactory level, where a large percentage of parents, 77.7%, declared that their children did not use the phone more than an hour a day. While in terms of nutrition, there have been many results which need more detailed analysis and to take preventive measures such as consumption of energy drinks, carbonated beverages, fast food, etc. From the measurement of children aged 3-4 years only one child turned out to be overweight with BMI = 18.7, while the rest came out with BMI with normal limits. As for children aged 4-5 years, one child turned out to be underweight with BMI = 12.4 and one obese with BMI = 21.9 and the others with BMI with normal limits. And out of children aged 5-6 years one child came out overweight with BMI = 17.7 and two others obese, one with BMI = 19.7 and the other BMI = 19.8 and the other children had normal weight (Betterhealth, 2016).

Type 2 diabetes in more than 70% of cases is caused by overweight and obesity. In many cases, a proper diet and increased physical activity are effective in the prevention and treatment of insulin resistance and pre-diabetes, which usually prevents the development of the disease. However, the recommendations for physical activity in type 2 diabetics differ from those for healthy people. The paper presents an analysis of recommendations concerning physical activity in the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes.

The aim of the paper was to prove the impact of aerobically programmed physical activities on body mass and volume and reducing the ratio of fatty and non-fatty mass to 30-40-year-old females. For this purpose, the research has included a sample of 30 females who have undergone a three months program with 3 training sessions per week. Eight anthropometric variables were applied for the processing of results and the confirmation of the difference between the initial and the final state, it has been applied the t-test for dependent groups within the SPSS statistics 21.0 program. The training program with aerobic exercises applied to this group of women shows that aerobic exercises influence positively weight reduction and passive body mass and so, it should be part of fitness exercises in order to improve the health condition.

Background Recent years have seen a growing interest in the physical activity of pregnant patients and its effects on obstetric outcomes. Apart from its positive influence on healthy pregnant patients, moderate physical effort also plays an important role in therapeutic procedures in women diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus. The aim of this paper was to assess the link between daily physical activity of patients diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus and neonatal birth weight. Material, patients and methods- The study group included 100 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) between 26 and 32 weeks’ gestation. Their physical activity was assessed using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), the Pregnancy Physical Activity Questionnaire (PPAQ) and a pedometer. Results No significant correlation between neonatal birth weight and the parameters describing the type and intensity of physical activity was shown. Neonatal birth weight correlated positively with pregravid BMI of the pregnant patient. A negative correlation was identified between gestational weight gain and pregravid BMI. Conclusion There was no relationship between daily physical activity during pregnancies complicated by diabetes mellitus and neonatal birth weight. Maternal pregravid weight was found to be an important parameter affecting the infant’s weight.

Daily physical activity is one of many factors determining health. World Health Organization (WHO) recommends regular moderate physical activity for people of all ages. The aim of this study was to compare the classified level of physical activity of young adults with their sub-jective self-assessment. The study group consisted of 42 people aged 20-24 years, on average 21.5 years. 62% (26 people) were women, and 38% (32 people) were men. Data was obtained using a paper ques-tionnaire based on the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). The respond-ents were asked about their physical activity during the week and their own assessment of their level of physical activity. 52.38% of respondents reported that they regularly exercise. Men do it more often (75% of men) and women less often (38.46% of women). 80.95% considered their own level of physi-cal activity as sufficient, 9.22% as high, and 9.52% as insufficient. At the same time, based on the IPAQ calculation, 42.86% respondents represented a sufficient level of physical activity, 38.10% high, and 19.05% insufficient. The average level of activity was 1668,57 MET-min/week, which according to the IPAQ classification means a high level of physical activity. In summary, young adults represent high levels of physical activity. The study showed that they tend to under- and overestimate their level of physical activity, whereas the underestima-tion is more common.

Activation of the growth factors pathways is involved in cell growth and proliferation and is associated with carcinogenesis. Many studies have shown an increase in blood growth factors concentrations after training. On the other hand, numerous organisations recommend physical activity in cancer therapy and prophylaxis. This two phenomena may actually cause confusion. The aim of this paper was to present findings on the significance of physical activity in course of neoplastic disease and dispel doubts concerning its role in cancer treatment.

Streszczenie Głównym celem artykułu jest prezentacja indywidualnych, społecznych i organizacyjnych uwarunkowań uprawiania sportu przez osoby niepełnosprawne ujęta z perspektywy socjologicznej. W artykule staram się wyjaśnić, w jaki sposób sport wyczynowy może wpływać na życie osób niesprawnych fizycznie, co czynię z uwagi na socjologiczny charakter artykułu, koncentruję się na wielowymiarowym kontekście społeczno-kulturowym. Na tej podstawie, odwołując się do indywidualnych doświadczeń niepełnosprawnych sportowców oraz osób z ich najbliższego otoczenia, zrekonstruowany zostanie charakter oraz zakres wpływu aktywności fizycznej i uprawiania sportu na życie osoby niepełnosprawnej. Cały wywód opieram na syntezie trzech poziomów: ogólnospołecznego, lokalnego i indywidualnego, które można wydzielić na podstawie badań i analizy materiałów empirycznych. Prezentowane wnioski oparte zostały na danych jakościowych zdobytych za pomocą techniki wywiadu swobodnego mało ukierunkowanego oraz obserwacji. Analiza i interpretacja materiału badawczego prowadzona jest zgodnie z zasadami metodologii teorii ugruntowanej. In the article I explained how professional sports can affect the lives of disabled physically people. I focused on the multi-dimensional socio-cultural context. Referring to the individual experience of disabled athletes and the people around them, I have reconstructed the character and scope of the impact of physical activity and sport in the life of disabled person. The article based on a synthesis of three levels: general social, local and individual, which can be distinguished on the basis of research and analysis of empirical material. The conclusions are based on qualitative data gained using unstructured interviews and observation techniques. Ćwiczenia fizyczne mogą powodować krótko i długotrwałe korzyści dla matki i rozwijającego się płodu. Dlatego aktualne trendy w opiece nad kobietami ciężarnymi polegają na propagowaniu aktywności fizycznej w różnym stopniu przez cały okres ciąży [10]. Cel badań. Celem badań była analiza czynników, które warunkowały na ograniczenie, rozpoczęcie lub kontynuowanie wysiłku fizycznego w czasie ciąży. Jednocześnie porównywano oddziaływanie aktywności fizycznej na przebieg ciąży, porodu oraz ogólny stan zdrowia i samopoczucia. Materiał i metody badań. Badaniami objętych zostało 50 kobiet w wieku 15-55 lat mieszkających w powiecie Wodzisław Śląski. W badaniach wykorzystano autorski kwestionariusz. Wszystkie kobiety uczestniczące w badaniach były matkami i przebyły poród. Wyniki badań. Wśród 50 ankietowanych dominowały kobiety w przedziale wieku 20-29 lat. Większość badanych (68%) deklarowała, że wykonywały ćwiczenia fizyczne w czasie ciąży, ale zaledwie 16 kobiet (32%) oświadczyło, że ciąża wyzwoliła motywację do aktywności fizycznej. Co trzecia kobieta (32%) deklarowała, że niezależnie od trymestru na aktywność fizyczną w trakcie ciąży przeznaczała tygodniowo 1-2 godz. Podobnie niemal co trzecia respondentka (30%) wyrażała opinię o korzystnym oddziaływaniu ruchu w trakcie ciąży na poród. Wnioski. Aktywność fizyczna w czasie ciąży pozwalała zachować prawidłową masę ciała, poprawiała nastrój psychiczny oraz skuteczne przeciwdziałała dolegliwościom związanym z ciążą. W związku z powyższym powinno się propagować aktywność fizyczną w okresie ciąży, szczególnie jeżeli nie ma przeciwwskazań lekarskich. Exercise can bring short and long-term benefits for women and the developing fetus, therefore, the current trends in the care of pregnant women seek to promote physical activity throughout pregnancy [10]. Aim of the study The aim of the study was to analyze the factors that affect the limitation, of exercise during pregnancy. Comparing the impact of physical activity on pregnancy, childbirth, and overall health and well-being. Material and methods The study included 50 women age 15-55 years living in the district Wodzislaw Slaski. The study has been carried out with the use of the authorial questionnaire-survey. All women participating in the study were mothers and gone through childbirth. Results Among the 50 surveyed dominated women between 20-29. The majority of respondents (68%) declared that they performed physical exercise during pregnancy, but only 32% women stated that the pregnancy triggered motivation for physical activity. Every third woman (32%) declared that regardless of trimester they were exercise during pregnancy and devoted to that activity 1-2 hours per week. 30% of respondents declared positive impact of physical activity during pregnancy to childbirth. Conclusions Physical activity during pregnancy allow to maintain normal weight, improved mood, mental and effectively counteract the discomfort associated with pregnancy. Therefore physical activity should be more popularized during pregnancy especially if there is no medical contraindications. They relate to behavior and actions socially acceptable. It happens that physical activity occupies a central place in human life and begins to overshadow other aspects of life such as professional, family or social contacts. Lack of control, a feeling of compulsion or withdrawal effects are just some of the conditions that may indicate addiction to the sport. Zbadano 245 osób za pomocą autorskiej ankiety oraz kwestionariusza aktywności fizycznej SEWL. Analiza statystyczna polegała na wykonaniu statystyk opisowych. Porównań dokonano za pomocą analizy wariancji ANOVA. Kobiety częściej podejmują pracę zawodową podczas studiów. Przeważająca część studentów deklaruje podejmowanie aktywności fizycznej, jednakże mężczyźni częściej zajmowali się sportem na profesjonalnym poziomie. Abstract The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between the taking of work and the level of physical activity among college students. 245 students were tested using an original questionnaire and SEWL questionnaire. The analysis consisted of descriptive statistics and performed analysis ANOVA. Women are more likely to work during study. Tryb życia, warunki środowiskowe oraz gospodarka hormonalna są nieodłącznym elementem warunkującym jej poziom. Podjęcie studiów wpływa na zmianę organizacji życia, co bezpośrednio przekłada się na wydolność organizmu studentek. Uniwersalną metodą badania wydolności aerobowej jest wielostopniowy test wahadłowy – Beep Test. Polega on na utrzymaniu określonego rytmu na dystansie 20 metrów, pomiar jest przerywany, gdy osoba testowana jest niezdolna do dalszego pokonania zadanego odcinka w określonym czasie. Interpretacja uzyskanych wyników odbywa się na podstawie orientacyjnych norm statystycznych. Cel pracy: 1) Czy wiek wpływa na wydolność aerobową studentek? 2) Czy częstotliwość treningów ma wpływ na uzyskane wyniki Beep Test? 3) Czy faza cyklu miesiączkowego wpływa na wydolność tlenową badanej grupy kobiet? Materiały i metody: Zbadanych zostało 65 studentek Śląskiego Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Katowicach w wieku od 18 do 28 lat (x=20,65). W badaniu przeprowadzono Beep Test oraz wykorzystano autorską ankietę, składająca się z 12 pytań, które dotyczyły między innymi: formy, częstotliwości oraz rodzaju aktywności fizycznej, fazy cyklu miesiączkowego, a także subiektywnej oceny wydolności fizycznej. W dwóch pytania użyto skali Likerta. Wyniki i wnioski: Badanie wykazało wzrost wydolności aerobowej kobiet w przedziale wiekowym 18-21 lat.W grupie kobiet, które ukończyły 21 rok życia odnotowano znaczny spadek wyżej wymienionego parametru. Oceniając wyniki według orientacyjnej normy Beep Test dla dorosłych ( Australia), studentki w wieku 18-20 osiągnęły średni wynik na poziomie: słabo,w wieku 21 wynik: przeciętnie, natomiast w przedziale wiekowym 22 wzwyż wynik: słabo. Najlepsze wyniki odnotowano u studentek w fazie folikularnej, natomiast najgorsze w fazie menstruacji. Przyrównując częstotliwość treningów (podaną w ankiecie przez grupę badanych) wraz z jej wzrostem (2-3 razy w tygodniu) zwiększa się wydolność aerobowa. Wśród kobiet trenujących powyżej 4 razy w tygodniu wydolność tlenowa jest widocznie niższa, w tym przypadku otrzymane wyniki Beep Test nie pokryły się z przewidywanym wynikiem ankietowym. Słowa kluczowe: Beep Test, aktywność fizyczna, studentki, wydolność aerobowa SUMMARY Aerobic fitness is the ability to undertake physical activity, without significant disorders of homeostasis in the course of oxidation processes. Life style, environmental conditions and hormonal economy are an integral part of her conditioning level. Beginning of study alters the organization of life which directly translates the physical fitness of students. Universal aerobic capacity test method is a multistage test – Beep test. Interpretation of the results is based on the indicative statistical standards. The aim of the study • Does age affect female students aerobic fitness? • Is the frequency workouts has an effect on the results obtained Beep Test? • Is the phase of the menstrual cycle affects the aerobic fitness test group of women? Material and methods 65 students were examined at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice in age from 18 to 28 years (x=20.65). The study was conducted Beep Test and author used a questionnaire consisting of 12 questions, which concerned, among other things: the form, frequency and type of physical activity, menstrual cycle phase, as well as subjective evaluation of physical capacity. Two questions used Likert scale. Results and conclusions Research shows an increase in aerobic fitness women between aged 18-21 years. In the group of women who turned 21 life was marked by a significant decrease in the above parameter. Estimating the results by reference standards for Beep Test for adults, students between aged 18-20 has reached the average grade on level: mild, in aged 21 result: average, while people aged 22 and above rating: bad. The best results were noted for students in the follicular phase, while in the worst phase of menstruation. Equating frequency of training (specified in the survey group of subjects), together with its increase (2-3 times per week) increases efficiency stain. Among women who are exercising more than 4 times in a week operability of oxygen is apparently below, in this case, the obtained results Beep Test did not match with the expected result of the questionnaire. Background Recent years have seen a growing interest in the physical activity of pregnant patients and its effects on obstetric outcomes. Apart from its positive influence on healthy pregnant patients, moderate physical effort also plays an important role in therapeutic procedures in women diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus. The aim of this paper was to assess the link between daily physical activity of patients diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus and neonatal birth weight. Material, patients and methods- The study group included 100 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) between 26 and 32 weeks’ gestation. Their physical activity was assessed using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), the Pregnancy Physical Activity Questionnaire (PPAQ) and a pedometer. Results No significant correlation between neonatal birth weight and the parameters describing the type and intensity of physical activity was shown. Neonatal birth weight correlated positively with pregravid BMI of the pregnant patient. A negative correlation was identified between gestational weight gain and pregravid BMI. Conclusion There was no relationship between daily physical activity during pregnancies complicated by diabetes mellitus and neonatal birth weight. Maternal pregravid weight was found to be an important parameter affecting the infant’s weight.

Daily physical activity is one of many factors determining health. World Health Organization (WHO) recommends regular moderate physical activity for people of all ages. The aim of this study was to compare the classified level of physical activity of young adults with their sub-jective self-assessment. The study group consisted of 42 people aged 20-24 years, on average 21.5 years. 62% (26 people) were women, and 38% (32 people) were men. Data was obtained using a paper ques-tionnaire based on the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). The respond-ents were asked about their physical activity during the week and their own assessment of their level of physical activity. 52.38% of respondents reported that they regularly exercise. Men do it more often (75% of men) and women less often (38.46% of women). 80.95% considered their own level of physi-cal activity as sufficient, 9.22% as high, and 9.52% as insufficient. At the same time, based on the IPAQ calculation, 42.86% respondents represented a sufficient level of physical activity, 38.10% high, and 19.05% insufficient. The average level of activity was 1668,57 MET-min/week, which according to the IPAQ classification means a high level of physical activity. In summary, young adults represent high levels of physical activity. The study showed that they tend to under- and overestimate their level of physical activity, whereas the underestima-tion is more common.

Streszczenie Wstęp Wirusowe zapalenie wątroby typu C stanowi jeden z głównych problemów zdrowia publicznego ze względu na długi okres bezobjawowy zakażenia wirusem HCV (hepatitis C virus) oraz brak skutecznej szczepionki. Cel pracy Celem pracy była ocena poziomu aktywności fizycznej u osób z przewlekłym wirusowym zapaleniem wątroby typu C. Materiał i metody Materiałem wykorzystanym do badań były odpowiedzi na pytania zamknięte zawarte w autorskim kwestionariuszu ankiety. W badaniu wzięło udział 200 osób z potwierdzonym zakażeniem HCV. Wyniki Większość badanych podejmuje aktywność ruchową kilka razy w roku lub też sezonowo. Stwierdzono również, iż w badanej grupie im starszy wiek tym ankietowani rzadziej deklarują podejmowanie form aktywności fizycznej. Ponadto wykazano, iż aktywność fizyczna zmienia się wraz z poziomem wykształcenia. Im wyższy poziom wykształcenia, tym badani częściej podejmują aktywność fizyczną. Wnioski W grupie badanych pacjentów z wirusowym zapaleniem wątroby typu C występuje niska częstotliwość podejmowania aktywności fizycznej. Tylko młodzi ludzie oraz posiadający wyższe wykształcenie deklarują aktywność fizyczną prowadzoną kilka razy w roku. Abstract Introduction and aim: Hepatitis C is one of the major public health problems due to the long period of asymptomatic infection with HCV and the lack of an effective vaccine. The aim of this study was to evaluate the level of physical activity in patients with chronic hepatitis C. Materials and methods: Material used for the study were responses to closed questions contained in the author's survey interview. The study involved 200 people with confirmed HCV infection. Results: Most of the respondents take physical activity several times a year or seasonally. It was also found that in the group of the older age of the respondents declare less likely to take forms of physical activity. In addition, it has been shown that physical activity varies with level of education. The higher the level of education, the subjects often take physical activity. Conclusions: The study group of people with hepatitis C has a relatively low frequency of making physical activity. Only young people and with a higher education declare frequent physical activity than a few times a year.

Celem pacy była ocena profilu społeczno-demograficznego kobiet rodzących oraz wpływu aktywności fizycznej w okresie ciąży na przebieg porodu. Materiał i metoda. Badania przeprowadzono wśród 150 rodzących. Narzędzie badawcze stanowiła ankieta własnego autorstwa, skala Borga oraz skala oceny bólu VAS. Wyniki. Badane były w wieku 19-41 lat, średnia wieku wynosiła 28.7±5.3 lat. Najczęściej podejmowaną przez respondentki aktywnością fizyczną był spacer (n=29; 38.15%), fitness (n=21; 27.63%), joge (n=14; 18.42%), pilates (n=25; 32.89%).Korzystanie z aktywności ruchowej przez kobiety w ciąży było zależne od: wykształcenia (p=0.031), miejsca zamieszkania (p=0.13), statusu zawodowego (0.004) oraz wieku (p=0.042) badanych. Aktywności fizyczna w okresie ciąży miała znamienny statystycznie wpływ na sposób ukończenia ciąży (p=0.024) i wystąpienie samoistnej czynności skurczowej (p=0.001) oraz bliski istotności statystycznej wpływ na częstość uszkodzenia krocza podczas porodu (0.049). Wnioski. Aktywność fizyczna podczas ciąży nie ma wpływu na częstotliwość okołoporodowych urazów kanału rodnego, w tym nacinania krocza. Natomiast warunkuje wystąpienie samoistnych skurczów porodowych, lepszą tolerancję bólu i wysiłku podczas porodu oraz zmniejsza liczbę cięć cesarskich. The aim of the study was the analysis of the profile of women and the influence of activity during pregnancy on childbirth Material and method. The research was conducted among 150 women. The study has been carried out with the use of the authorial questionnaire-survey, Borga Scale and Visual Analogue Scale. Statistical analysis was performed with the use of the computer program IBM SPSS Statistics version 21. Results. The women were at the age of 19-41years. The average age of the participants equalled 28.7±5.3. The most common physical activity undertaken by the pregnant was: walking (n=29; 38.15%), fitness (n=21; 27.63%), yoga (n=14; 18.42%), pilates (n=25; 32.89%). Physical activity during pregnancy was dependent on education (p=0.031), place of residence (p=0.13), employment status (0.004) and age (p=0.042) women surveyed. Physical activity during pregnancy influence the method of child delivery (p = 0.024), the occurrence of spontaneous uterine contractions (p = 0.001) and damage to the perineum during childbirth (0049). Conclusions. Physical activity during pregnancy significantly determines the occurrence of spontaneous uterine contractions of childbirth, better tolerance of pain and effort during labor and reduces the frequency of perinatal injuries birth canal, including cutting perineum Key words: pregnancy, physical activity, labor.

Activation of the growth factors pathways is involved in cell growth and proliferation and is associated with carcinogenesis. Many studies have shown an increase in blood growth factors concentrations after training. On the other hand, numerous organisations recommend physical activity in cancer therapy and prophylaxis. This two phenomena may actually cause confusion. The aim of this paper was to present findings on the significance of physical activity in course of neoplastic disease and dispel doubts concerning its role in cancer treatment.

Back pain are often found not only in the elderly, but also often occur in people younger and younger. There are all sorts of diseases, not only the spine but also the soft tissue, paraspinal muscles and their attachments, with a tendency to recurrence of pain. Formation of pain syndromes is associated with the pathology of intervertebral discs and joints of the spine. Prior to treatment in the first place need to understand the genesis of pain and its symptoms. It should also be considered co-morbid conditions in a test subject. Among the methods of treatment of pain syndromes stand out treatments in the field of physical therapy, physiotherapy, and additional elements, ie. Manual therapy and neurophysiological methods. Equally important is the patient education about the prevention of, or re-education on how to perform activities of daily living, which is the basis for the prevention of recurrence of the disease or its total elimination. The aim of the study was to determine the efficacy of classical massage spinal pain syndromes. The paper presents various forms of rehabilitation, but the main emphasis is on the assessment of the effectiveness of classical massage in selected disease entities. The studies found positive effects of massage on the human body, proving that it eliminates common back pain, and increases its mobility in all planes, which results in improving the quality of everyday life. Podejmowanie aktywności ruchowej wpływa na układ krążenia, oddechowy, ruchu, nerwowy, odpornościowy, zmniejsza problemy związane z ciśnieniem tętniczym, obniża ryzyko wystąpienia demencji, ogranicza ryzyko upadku, zwiększa energię podczas chodzenia i poprawia postawę jednostki. Wyniki badań wskazują, że doskonałą formą aktywności dla seniorów jest nordic walking ze względu na możliwość indywidualnego dostosowania do możliwości jednostki, terenu marszu, brak ograniczeń czasowych i nakładów finansowych. Abstract Every human being experiences the gradual process of aging, however, differences can be observed as to its pace in individual cases. The process can be slowed down owing to such beneficial factors as physical activity. Physical exercise has a positive influence on the circulatory, respiratory, locomotor, nervous and immune systems, reduces health problems related to blood pressure and the danger of dementia, limits dangers of falling down at the same time increasing the body energy during walks and improving the body posture. Results of recent studies have pointed to Nordic walking as a form of physical exercise perfect for seniors due to the fact that it is easy to adjust it to individual abilities, the terrain, time scope and financial means.

Aim: The aim of this study was to estimate the effect of a 10-week Nordic Walking exercise program on these parameters. Patients and methods: The subjects were 32 postmenopausal women with overweight or obesity were studied. Before the start of the exercise program and directly after it had finished, blood samples were taken to determine sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, and capillary gasometry parameters. Results: After the 10-week exercise program, a significant decrease in serum concentrations of sodium, magnesium, calcium, capillary potential of hydrogen (pH), capillary partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2), bicarbonate (HCO3), and base excess (BE), as well as an increase in potassium, chloride, capillary partial pressure of oxygen (pO2), and hemoglobin oxygen saturation (SaO2) levels was found. The proportional change in sodium serum concentrations correlated significantly with delta BMI, and potassium and calcium proportional alterations after the exercise program had finished correlated with proportional changes in albumin concentration. Conclusions: A 10-week Nordic Walking exercise program resulted in statistically significant changes in almost all serum electrolyte concentration, but only to a small extent and probably without clinical importance. The improvement in oxygen partial pressure in capillary blood after the exercise program shows a potentially complex, favorable effect of a prolonged exercise program and requires further study. Streszczenie Głównym celem artykułu jest prezentacja indywidualnych, społecznych i organizacyjnych uwarunkowań uprawiania sportu przez osoby niepełnosprawne ujęta z perspektywy socjologicznej. W artykule staram się wyjaśnić, w jaki sposób sport wyczynowy może wpływać na życie osób niesprawnych fizycznie, co czynię z uwagi na socjologiczny charakter artykułu, koncentruję się na wielowymiarowym kontekście społeczno-kulturowym. Na tej podstawie, odwołując się do indywidualnych doświadczeń niepełnosprawnych sportowców oraz osób z ich najbliższego otoczenia, zrekonstruowany zostanie charakter oraz zakres wpływu aktywności fizycznej i uprawiania sportu na życie osoby niepełnosprawnej. Cały wywód opieram na syntezie trzech poziomów: ogólnospołecznego, lokalnego i indywidualnego, które można wydzielić na podstawie badań i analizy materiałów empirycznych. Prezentowane wnioski oparte zostały na danych jakościowych zdobytych za pomocą techniki wywiadu swobodnego mało ukierunkowanego oraz obserwacji. Analiza i interpretacja materiału badawczego prowadzona jest zgodnie z zasadami metodologii teorii ugruntowanej. Słowa kluczowe: niepełnosprawność, aktywność fizyczna, sport, jakość życia Abstract The main objective of the paper is to present the individual, social and organizational determinants of sport for people with disabilities from a sociological perspective. In the article I explained how professional sports can affect the lives of disabled physically people. I focused on the multi-dimensional socio-cultural context. Referring to the individual experience of disabled athletes and the people around them, I have reconstructed the character and scope of the impact of physical activity and sport in the life of disabled person. The article based on a synthesis of three levels: general social, local and individual, which can be distinguished on the basis of research and analysis of empirical material. The conclusions are based on qualitative data gained using unstructured interviews and observation techniques. The effectiveness of the content of physical education of students of medical college has been studied for one academic year through their involvement into systematic physical activity. One of the results of resolving this problem was students’ improvement in morphofunctional indexes. The developed organizational and methodological principles were the basis of the proposed content through the involvement of students of medical college for physical activity during physical education classes. Each position included a set of rules that were performed in a certain sequence during the formation of the content of physical education and its implementation in classes. Proposed development has provided 21 girls and 19 boys significantly better results in solving problems within a year than 58 girls and 35 boys who used the content of physical education that was formed and implemented without specified experimental factor. Abstract Sociometry as a research method has been widely used both in sociology and social psychology, especially for assessment and measurement of power structures, cooperation and communication between units of the small population and the cohesion of specific social groups. The main purpose of such action is to evaluate the direction and forces of “attraction and rejection” relations that exist between the representatives of such groups. In sports, especially team disciplines (that correspond to the assumptions of small social groups) interpersonal relationship factor is very important in building of a team structure and thus that to create the right conditions to achieve high goals. Knowledge of informal social structure of sport team can be a valuable source of information for conscious coach to use. With knowledge about the factors influencing on interpersonal relations, it is possible to affect on them and eliminate unwanted behaviors. Moreover, thanks to the conscious shaping and monitoring the proper attitudes in team trainer is able to improve the interpersonal situation of a single player. By doing this the general atmosphere within the team will improve which has been found in numerous studies to correlate with in the effectiveness of team activities in achieving high goals.

Badania przeprowadzono w 2016 roku metodą sondażu diagnostycznego, w ramach której posłużono się techniką ankiety. Wyniki badań wskazują na występowanie istotnej zależności między wiedzą o uwarunkowaniach zdrowia a aktywnością fizyczną respondentów. Analiza prezentowanego materiału badawczego pozwala stwierdzić, że zarówno poziom wiedzy jak i aktywność fizycznej respondentów jest zadawalający. Abstract The goal of this research is explanation of dependencies between knowledge about health determinants and physical activity of the participants of University of the Third Age operating in Wroclaw. The study was conducted in 2016 using method of diagnostic survey in which poll technique was utilized. The results of research indicate an occurrence of significant relationship between knowledge about health determinants and physical activity of respondents. Presented research materials analysis allow to conclude, that both the level of knowledge and physical activity of respondents are satisfactory.

Dlatego ważne są badania sprawdzające jak spędzają czas wolny osoby w różnym wieku oraz czy i jakie formy rekreacji ruchowej podejmują, jakie mają podejście do aktywności fizycznej, czy są świadomi, że w ich otoczeniu są organizowane zajęcia sprzyjające zwiększeniu sprawności fizycznej oraz czy i jakie różnice występują między poszczególnymi grupami społecznymi. Badania przeprowadzono, w styczniu 2015 roku, na Uniwersytecie Kazimierza Wielkiego w Bydgoszczy. Badania przeprowadzono na studentach I, II oraz II roku administracji oraz Turystyki i Rekreacji. Zgromadzony materiał badawczy to 102 ankiety, po 17 na każdym roczniku i kierunku. W badaniu wzięło udział 74 kobiety oraz 28 mężczyzn w wieku od 19 do 25 lat. Analizując wyniki badań można wysunąć wniosek, że występują małe różnice w postrzeganiu aktywności fizycznej studentów administracji oraz turystyki i rekreacji. Studenci TiR częściej wybierają aktywność ruchową. Jak widać studenci administracji mają nieco inne priorytety lub być może wiedza na temat rekreacji ruchowej nie jest im tak często i skutecznie przekazywana jak studentom TiR. You should still realize a society that physical activity is an essential element in maintaining a mental or physical man. Many people still do not understand that regular physical activity helps to reduce the risk of lifestyle diseases, which the majority of the population dies. It is therefore important tests are checking how they spend their free time people of all ages and whether and what forms of recreation take what they approach to physical activity, whether they are aware that their surroundings are organized activities conducive to increasing physical fitness and whether and what differences exist between different social groups. The study was conducted in January 2015 at the University of Bydgoszcz. The study was conducted on students I, II and II, the administration and Tourism and Recreation. The accumulated research material is 102 survey, after 17 on each yearbook and direction. The study involved 74 women and 28 men aged 19 to 25 years. Analyzing the results of the research can conclude that there are small differences in the perception of physical activity student administration and tourism and recreation. Students often choose TiR physical activity. As you can see, students administration have slightly different priorities, or perhaps knowledge of physical recreation is not them so often and effectively passed on to students TiR. W ankiecie wzięło udział 108 respondentów z czego 17,6% stanowiły kobiety a 82,4% mężczyźni. Przedział wiekowy odpowiadających to 19-27 lat. Analiza otrzymanych wyników wykazała, że zdecydowanie większa część ankietowanych studentów przykłada wagę do własnej sprawności fizycznej. Studenci, którzy wykonują ćwiczenia ruchowe trzy razy w tygodniu i więcej stanowili 36% wszystkich respondentów. Najczęściej studenci podejmują aktywność fizyczną na wolnym powietrzu. Badania wykazują, że ankietowani czują satysfakcję i radość po zakończeniu ćwiczeń. Innymi istotnymi czynnikami, które motywują studentów Uniwersytetu Kazimierza Wielkiego są: poprawa ogólnej sprawności fizycznej, poprawa stanu psychicznego oraz samopoczucia. Dla wielu studentów motywacją jest poprawa stanu zdrowia czy odpoczynek od obowiązków. Niewielu studentów podejmuje aktywność fizyczną poprzez namowę znajomych czy chęć opóźnienia procesu starzenia. Słowa kluczowe: motywacja, aktywność fizyczna, sport, studenci. Abstract A survey of students at the Kazimierz Wielki University Bydgoszcz was a reliable source of answers. The survey was attended by 108 respondents of which 17.6% were women and 82.4% men. The age range corresponding to 19-27 years. Analysis of the results showed that by far the majority of the students surveyed pays attention to their own physical fitness. Students who perform physical exercises three times a week or more accounted for 36% of all respondents. Most often students take physical activity outdoors. Studies show that respondents feel the satisfaction and joy after exercise. Other important factors that motivate students Kazimierz Wielki University are to improve overall physical fitness, improving mental health and well-being. For many students the motivation is to improve the health of the rest of the duties. Few students take physical activity through the urging of friends or wanting to delay the aging process. Szacuje się, że co piąta osoba populacji rozwojowej w Europie ma nadwagę lub otyłość. Podobnie w Polsce obserwuje się tendencję wzrostową częstości występowania nadmiernej masy ciała u dzieci i młodzieży. Cel Celem badań była analiza nawyków żywieniowych i aktywności fizycznej młodzieży jako czynników ryzyka otyłości. Materiał i metoda Badania przeprowadzono w 2014 roku wśród młodzieży lubelskich szkół średnich. Badaniami objęto 150 osób w wieku 16 - 19 lat. Zastosowaną metodą badawczą był sondaż diagnostyczny. Do zebrania danych, jako narzędzie badawcze wykorzystano autorski kwestionariusz ankiety składający się z 29 pytań. Zgromadzone wyniki badań poddano analizie statystycznej z wykorzystaniem testu Chi2. Wyniki badań Analizując nawyki żywieniowe badanej młodzieży można stwierdzić, że 40,00% badanych nie spożywa regularnie posiłków. Ponad połowa ankietowanych (53,33%) spożywa przekąski pomiędzy głównymi posiłkami, jedynie 10,00% osób zadeklarowało, że nie spożywa produktów typu fast-food. Interpretacja wyników badań własnych dotyczących aktywności fizycznej młodzieży wykazała że, niemal 2/3 ankietowanych (64,67%) odpowiedziało, że czas wolny spędza w bierny sposób oglądając telewizję bądź korzystając z komputera. Wnioski Wśród nawyków żywieniowych sprzyjających otyłości u badanej młodzieży stwierdzono: nieregularne spożywanie posiłków, niedostateczną ilość owoców i warzyw w codziennym jadłospisie oraz spożywanie przekąsek pomiędzy głównymi posiłkami –głównie słodyczy. Stopień aktywności fizycznej badanej grupy jest niezadowalający. Młodzież chętniej wybiera bierne formy spędzania czasu wolnego. Abstract Introduction According to the report of the International Obesity Task Force (IOTF) there are 155 milion school students with overweight and obesity in Europe. The same trend towards an increase in it have also been observed in Poland. Aim The aim of this study was to analyse school students` dietary habits and physical activity as a risk factor of the obesity. Material and methods The studies were conducted on the representative, random sample of 150 school students from Lublin secondary school aged 16-19 years in 2014. The date was assessed using a survey questionnaire consist of 29 questions created by the authors. The evaluation of the date was calculated using the a chi-squared test. Results The studies showed that 40% of the school students consumed the meals irregularly. More than half of the school students consumed bad snacks among meals while only 10% did not. The results showed that two thirds of the school students (64.67%) spent their time for leisure in front of the TV or computer. Conclusions The results indicates that dietary habits such as irregularly frequency of the eating, not many fruit and vegetables in the diet as well eating snacks between meals, mainly sweets could increase a risk of obesity Low level of the physical activity among school students was observed. Teenagers are more likely to spend their leisure time inactively.

In addition to nutrition is a key determinant of health at every stage of human life. Particularly important in childhood and adolescence, when it is essential for the proper development of both physical, biological and motor. Increased motor activity is beneficial to a number of characteristics not only of physiological and immunological but adaptive as well as the correct course of a number of metabolic and hormonal processes. Material and methods. The study included the number of 100 students in grades Baccalaureate School of Chemical in Bydgoszcz. The work as a research tool used by his own questionnaire and the analysis of reporting forms from the study screening and health surveillance. The aim of this study was to assess physical activity in school youth. Results. Youth male accounted for most of the study group - 54 persons (54.0%). The test young people were divided into two age: 19 years and 20 years. Most were 19 - year olds - 59 persons (59.0%). Conclusions. The level of activity of youth is insufficient. Slightly higher levels of physical activity showed girls deficient weight and rural residents. The lowest level of physical activity presented overweight people. Streszczenie Wprowadzenie. Aktywność fizyczna to każdy ruch ciała konieczny do codziennego życia lub część programu ćwiczeniowego. Obok odżywiania jest kluczowym czynnikiem determinującym zdrowie na każdym etapie życia człowieka. Szczególnego znaczenia nabiera w dzieciństwie i młodości, kiedy jest niezbędna dla prawidłowego rozwoju zarówno fizycznego, biologicznego jak i motorycznego. Zwiększona aktywność ruchowa wpływa korzystnie na szereg właściwości nie tylko fizjologicznych, ale i odpornościowych, adaptacyjnych, a także na prawidłowy przebieg szeregu procesów metabolicznych i hormonalnych. Materiał i metoda. Badaniami objęto liczbę 100 uczniów klas maturalnych Zespołu Szkół Chemicznych w Bydgoszczy. W pracy jako narzędzie badawcze wykorzystano kwestionariusz ankiety własnego autorstwa oraz analizę formularzy sprawozdawczych z przeprowadzonych badań przesiewowych i profilaktycznych badań lekarskich. Cel. Celem niniejszej pracy była ocena aktywności fizycznej u młodzieży ponadgimnazjalnej. Wyniki. Młodzież płci męskiej stanowiła większość w badanej grupie – 54 osoby (54,0%). Badaną młodzież podzielono na dwie grupy wiekowe: 19 lat i 20 lat. Większość stanowili 19 - latkowie – 59 osób (59,0%). Wnioski. Poziom aktywności młodzieży jest niewystarczający. Nieznacznie wyższy poziom aktywności fizycznej wykazywały dziewczęta z niedoborem masy ciała oraz mieszkańcy wsi. Najniższy poziom aktywności fizycznej prezentowały osoby z nadwagą.

Tryb życia, warunki środowiskowe oraz gospodarka hormonalna są nieodłącznym elementem warunkującym jej poziom. Podjęcie studiów wpływa na zmianę organizacji życia, co bezpośrednio przekłada się na wydolność organizmu studentek. Uniwersalną metodą badania wydolności aerobowej jest wielostopniowy test wahadłowy – Beep Test. Polega on na utrzymaniu określonego rytmu na dystansie 20 metrów, pomiar jest przerywany, gdy osoba testowana jest niezdolna do dalszego pokonania zadanego odcinka w określonym czasie. Interpretacja uzyskanych wyników odbywa się na podstawie orientacyjnych norm statystycznych. Cel pracy: 1) Czy wiek wpływa na wydolność aerobową studentek? 2) Czy częstotliwość treningów ma wpływ na uzyskane wyniki Beep Test? 3) Czy faza cyklu miesiączkowego wpływa na wydolność tlenową badanej grupy kobiet? Materiały i metody: Zbadanych zostało 65 studentek Śląskiego Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Katowicach w wieku od 18 do 28 lat (x=20,65). W badaniu przeprowadzono Beep Test oraz wykorzystano autorską ankietę, składająca się z 12 pytań, które dotyczyły między innymi: formy, częstotliwości oraz rodzaju aktywności fizycznej, fazy cyklu miesiączkowego, a także subiektywnej oceny wydolności fizycznej. W dwóch pytania użyto skali Likerta. Wyniki i wnioski: Badanie wykazało wzrost wydolności aerobowej kobiet w przedziale wiekowym 18-21 lat.W grupie kobiet, które ukończyły 21 rok życia odnotowano znaczny spadek wyżej wymienionego parametru. Oceniając wyniki według orientacyjnej normy Beep Test dla dorosłych ( Australia), studentki w wieku 18-20 osiągnęły średni wynik na poziomie: słabo,w wieku 21 wynik: przeciętnie, natomiast w przedziale wiekowym 22 wzwyż wynik: słabo. Najlepsze wyniki odnotowano u studentek w fazie folikularnej, natomiast najgorsze w fazie menstruacji. Przyrównując częstotliwość treningów (podaną w ankiecie przez grupę badanych) wraz z jej wzrostem (2-3 razy w tygodniu) zwiększa się wydolność aerobowa. Wśród kobiet trenujących powyżej 4 razy w tygodniu wydolność tlenowa jest widocznie niższa, w tym przypadku otrzymane wyniki Beep Test nie pokryły się z przewidywanym wynikiem ankietowym. Life style, environmental conditions and hormonal economy are an integral part of her conditioning level. Beginning of study alters the organization of life which directly translates the physical fitness of students. Universal aerobic capacity test method is a multistage test – Beep test. Interpretation of the results is based on the indicative statistical standards. The aim of the study • Does age affect female students aerobic fitness? • Is the frequency workouts has an effect on the results obtained Beep Test? • Is the phase of the menstrual cycle affects the aerobic fitness test group of women? Material and methods 65 students were examined at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice in age from 18 to 28 years (x=20.65). The study was conducted Beep Test and author used a questionnaire consisting of 12 questions, which concerned, among other things: the form, frequency and type of physical activity, menstrual cycle phase, as well as subjective evaluation of physical capacity. Two questions used Likert scale. Results and conclusions Research shows an increase in aerobic fitness women between aged 18-21 years. In the group of women who turned 21 life was marked by a significant decrease in the above parameter. Estimating the results by reference standards for Beep Test for adults, students between aged 18-20 has reached the average grade on level: mild, in aged 21 result: average, while people aged 22 and above rating: bad. The best results were noted for students in the follicular phase, while in the worst phase of menstruation. Equating frequency of training (specified in the survey group of subjects), together with its increase (2-3 times per week) increases efficiency stain. Among women who are exercising more than 4 times in a week operability of oxygen is apparently below, in this case, the obtained results Beep Test did not match with the expected result of the questionnaire. Zdarza się, że aktywność fizyczna zajmuje centralne miejsce w życiu człowieka i zaczyna przysłaniać inne sfery takie jak życie zawodowe, rodzinne, czy kontakty towarzyskie. Brak kontroli, uczucie wewnętrznego przymusu czy efekt odstawienia to tylko niektóre z przesłanek, które mogą świadczyć o uzależnieniu od sportu. Słowa kluczowe: aktywność fizyczna, uzależnienia behawioralne, profilaktyka uzależnień. Summary: In behavioral addictions chemicals do not play any role. They relate to behavior and actions socially acceptable. It happens that physical activity occupies a central place in human life and begins to overshadow other aspects of life such as professional, family or social contacts. Lack of control, a feeling of compulsion or withdrawal effects are just some of the conditions that may indicate addiction to the sport. Zbadano 245 osób za pomocą autorskiej ankiety oraz kwestionariusza aktywności fizycznej SEWL. Analiza statystyczna polegała na wykonaniu statystyk opisowych. Porównań dokonano za pomocą analizy wariancji ANOVA. Kobiety częściej podejmują pracę zawodową podczas studiów. Przeważająca część studentów deklaruje podejmowanie aktywności fizycznej, jednakże mężczyźni częściej zajmowali się sportem na profesjonalnym poziomie. Abstract The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between the taking of work and the level of physical activity among college students. 245 students were tested using an original questionnaire and SEWL questionnaire. The analysis consisted of descriptive statistics and performed analysis ANOVA. Women are more likely to work during study. The majority of students declare physical activity, but men often participate in the sport at a professional level. Keywords: physical activity, work, study.

Dodatkowym, a zarazem najważniejszym efektem jest zwiększenie wydolności fizycznej niezbędnej do porodu siłami natury i skrócenie czasu jego przebiegu oraz czasu regeneracji organizmu w połogu, a co za tym idzie, szybszy powrót do formy sprzed ciąży. Abstract A women expect a child a child today has a lot of possibilities for secure forms of physical activity. With a bit of rational approach may continue playing your favorite sport, or participate in activities prepared especially for pregnant women. Physical activity practiced regularly during pregnancy is a key factor in the health and well-being of the mother. Exercise influence on health status by reducing the pain of the spine, improve general or no deterioration of physical fitness, prevention of excessive weight gain and improving well being pregnant. Extra and, at the same time, the most important effect is to increase the physical capacity required for the labor forces of nature and shorten its course and recovery time of the organism in the postpartum period, and hence a faster return to pre-pregnancy form.

Streszczenie Wstęp Wirusowe zapalenie wątroby typu C stanowi jeden z głównych problemów zdrowia publicznego ze względu na długi okres bezobjawowy zakażenia wirusem HCV (hepatitis C virus) oraz brak skutecznej szczepionki. Cel pracy Celem pracy była ocena poziomu aktywności fizycznej u osób z przewlekłym wirusowym zapaleniem wątroby typu C. Materiał i metody Materiałem wykorzystanym do badań były odpowiedzi na pytania zamknięte zawarte w autorskim kwestionariuszu ankiety. W badaniu wzięło udział 200 osób z potwierdzonym zakażeniem HCV. Wyniki Większość badanych podejmuje aktywność ruchową kilka razy w roku lub też sezonowo. Stwierdzono również, iż w badanej grupie im starszy wiek tym ankietowani rzadziej deklarują podejmowanie form aktywności fizycznej. Ponadto wykazano, iż aktywność fizyczna zmienia się wraz z poziomem wykształcenia. Im wyższy poziom wykształcenia, tym badani częściej podejmują aktywność fizyczną. Wnioski W grupie badanych pacjentów z wirusowym zapaleniem wątroby typu C występuje niska częstotliwość podejmowania aktywności fizycznej. Tylko młodzi ludzie oraz posiadający wyższe wykształcenie deklarują aktywność fizyczną prowadzoną kilka razy w roku. Abstract Introduction and aim: Hepatitis C is one of the major public health problems due to the long period of asymptomatic infection with HCV and the lack of an effective vaccine. The aim of this study was to evaluate the level of physical activity in patients with chronic hepatitis C. Materials and methods: Material used for the study were responses to closed questions contained in the author's survey interview. The study involved 200 people with confirmed HCV infection. Results: Most of the respondents take physical activity several times a year or seasonally. It was also found that in the group of the older age of the respondents declare less likely to take forms of physical activity. In addition, it has been shown that physical activity varies with level of education. The higher the level of education, the subjects often take physical activity. Conclusions: The study group of people with hepatitis C has a relatively low frequency of making physical activity. Only young people and with a higher education declare frequent physical activity than a few times a year.

It shows barriers the elderly people need to overcome or the situations they might be in. It also shows physical activity as one of the main components of the activation process of the elderly. Od czego zależy długość trwania ćwiczeń i w jakim okresie studiów jest on największy? Zbadano 301 studentów używając autorski kwestionariusz. Analiza polegała na wykonaniu statystyk opisowych oraz analizy wariancji ANOVA. Analiza wykazała zależność istotnie statystyczną pomiędzy płcią a podejmowaniem aktywności fizycznej. Mężczyźni częściej ćwiczą. Brak jest zależności pomiędzy częstością uprawiania sportu a płcią. Słowa kluczowe: student, aktywność fizyczna, studia. Abstract The aim of this study was to answer the following questions: What are the reasons that determine the physical activity of students outside of their university? What determines the duration of exercises and during what year the students exercise the most ? 301 students were tested using an original questionnaire. The analysis consisted of descriptive statistics and performed analysis ANOVA. Analysis showed a significant relationship between sex and physical activity. Men are more likely to exercise. However, there is no relationship between the frequency of physical activity and gender. Key words: student, physical activity, studies.

Regularna aktywność fizyczna i prawidłowe odżywianie to dwa fundamentalne filary filozofii zdrowego stylu życia. Rozwój aktywności fizycznej wśród studentów uwarunkowany jest wieloma złożonymi czynnikami, wśród których wyróżniamy: profil studiów, dostęp do infrastruktury sportowej oraz możliwość brania udziału w zajęciach sportowych organizowanych przez kluby czy Akademickie Związki Sportowe. Cel pracy. Celem pracy była analiza czynników mających wpływ na samoocenę aktywności fizycznej studentów. Postawiono następujące pytania badawcze: • Czy wybór uczelni ma związek z dostępem do zajęć organizowanych przez Akademickie Związki Sportowe? • Czy branie udziału w zajęciach organizowanych przez AZS ułatwia rozwój sportowy? • Czy istnieje zależność pomiędzy lokalizacją miejsc, w których organizowane są zajęcia sportowe, godzinami odbywania się zajęć sportowych, rodzajem i formą zajęć sportowych a korzystaniem z oferty AZS? Materiały i metody. W badaniach wzięło udział 395 studentów, w tym 257 kobiet w wieku od 18 do 27 lat (x=20,7; SD=1,4) i 108 mężczyzn w wieku od 18 do 26 lat (x=21; SD=1,45). Wśród badanych znaleźli się studenci z pięciu śląskich uczelni wyższych. Metodą zastosowaną w trakcie badania była anonimowa ankieta składająca się z 37 zamkniętych pytań, które dotyczyły następujących kwestii: formy podejmowanej aktywności fizycznej, Akademickich Związków Sportowych oraz wpływu obranego kierunku studiów na rozwój aktywności fizycznej. W 21 pytaniach w ankiecie posłużono się skalą Likerta. Opracowanie statystyczne obejmowało wykonanie statystyk opisowych, natomiast poziom różnic określono za pomocą analizy wariancji ANOVA. Wyniki. Analiza statystyczna wykazała istotną zależność pomiędzy rodzajem uczelni a lokalizacją miejsc w których odbywają się zajęcia organizowane przez AZS (p=0,04). Rodzaj uczelni natomiast nie wpływa na czynniki takie jak: godziny w których odbywają się zajęcia sportowe (p=0,07) oraz rodzaj zajęć sportowych znajdujących się w ofercie (p=0,39). Istnieje istotna zależność miedzy rodzajem uczelni a rezygnacją z uprawiania sportu (p=0,0002). Najczęściej muszą z niego rezygnować studenci Śląskiego Uniwersytetu Medycznego, a najrzadziej Uniwersytetu Śląskiego. Istnieje również zależność między podejściem do uprawiania sportu a rodzajem uczelni (p=0,01). Najbardziej ułatwia karierę sportową Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Katowicach. Wnioski: • Podejmowanie aktywności fizycznej przez studentów jest zależne od lokalizacji uczelni oraz miejsc, w których odbywają się zajęcia. • Czynniki takie jak godziny odbywania się zajęć, oraz rodzaj zajęć nie są zależne od rodzaju uczelni. • Rodzaj uczelni ma wpływ na rezygnację z uprawnia sportu. Słowa kluczowe: aktywność fizyczna, Akademickie Związki Sportowe. Abstract Introduction. There are two fundaments of healthy lifestyle philosophy: regular physical activity and proper diet. The development of physical activity among students is determined by many complex factors. We can distinguish certain aspects such as university profile, access to the sport facilities and the opportunity to participate in sport activities which are organized by sport clubs or University Sports Association. The aim of the study. The aim of the study was to analyze the factors that affect self-assessment of students physical activity. The following questions have been asked: 1.Is the choice of the university related to the access to sport activities which are organized by University Sport Association? 2.Does the participating in activities, which are organized by University Sport Association, help in physical development? 3.Is there any relation between the location, time, type, the way of sport activities which are offered by University Sport Association and participating in them? Material and methods. 395 students took part in research: 257 women (18-27 years old) (x=20,7 ; SD=1,4) and 108 men (18-26 years old) (x=21; SD=1,45). All the students are from five Silesian universities. Method used for the research was the anonymous questionnaire consisting of 37 questions which concerned: the way of the physical activity taken by students, the issue of University Sport Association and the influence of the university profile on physical activity development. The Likert scale was used in 21 questions. Statistical description included descriptive statistics. Degree of difference was defined by ANOVA analysis. Results. Descriptive analysis showed significant dependence between the type of the university and the location of sport facilities (p=0,04). The type of the university has no influence on the factors like: time (p=0,07) and type of sport activities offered by University Sport Association (p=0,39). There is also an important connection between the type of the university and resignation from doing sport (p=0,0002). Mostly – Medical University of Silesia students, least frequently – University of Silesia students. There is dependence between approach to doing sport among students and the type of university (p=0,01). The university which helps the most in sport career is University of Economics in Katowice. Conclusions: 1.Taking the physical activity by student depends on location of the university and sport facilities. 2.The factors such as time and type of sport activities are not related to the type of the university. 3.The type of the university influence the resignation from doing sport by students. Wysiłek fizyczny oddziałuje na poszczególne układy organizmu człowieka, w tym szczególnie na układ ruchu, krwionośny i oddechowy, neuro-hormonalny, a przez to na funkcjonowanie wielu narządów wewnętrznych. Od wieków prowadzone są liczne badania mające na celu poznanie zmian zachodzących w organizmie na skutek aktywności fizycznej. Zmiany w funkcjonowaniu organizmu poddanemu określonemu wysiłkowi fizycznemu (zarówno statycznemu jak i dynamicznemu) określane są poprzez zastosowanie diagnostyki medycznej, praw fizycznych oraz diagnostyki sportowej. W pracy opisano zmiany, jakie zachodzą w organizmie człowieka w czasie wysiłku fizycznego, w takich układach jak: kostno-stawowy, mięśniowy, krwionośny, czy też oddechowy. Opisano także procesy przystosowawcze organizmu i wykazano korzystne oraz niekorzystne działanie (fizyczne, psychiczne i społeczne) aktywności fizycznej na organizm człowieka. Sklasyfikowano również wysiłek fizyczny w zależności od przyjętych obecnie kryteriów. Artykuł stanowi częściowe podsumowanie zainteresowań naukowych autorów w latach 2014-2015.

Wiedza na temat pozytywnego wpływ na organizm człowieka, na jego organy i funkcje wewnętrzne może być elementem motywującym do podejmowania aktywności fizycznej poprawiającej i usprawniającej homeostazę, która stanowi niezbędny warunek prawidłowego funkcjonowania organizmu. Artykuł stanowi częściowe podsumowanie zainteresowań prozdrowotnych i naukowych autorów w latach 2013-2015.

Celem pacy była ocena profilu społeczno-demograficznego kobiet rodzących oraz wpływu aktywności fizycznej w okresie ciąży na przebieg porodu. Materiał i metoda. Badania przeprowadzono wśród 150 rodzących. Narzędzie badawcze stanowiła ankieta własnego autorstwa, skala Borga oraz skala oceny bólu VAS. Wyniki. Badane były w wieku 19-41 lat, średnia wieku wynosiła 28.7±5.3 lat. Najczęściej podejmowaną przez respondentki aktywnością fizyczną był spacer (n=29; 38.15%), fitness (n=21; 27.63%), joge (n=14; 18.42%), pilates (n=25; 32.89%).Korzystanie z aktywności ruchowej przez kobiety w ciąży było zależne od: wykształcenia (p=0.031), miejsca zamieszkania (p=0.13), statusu zawodowego (0.004) oraz wieku (p=0.042) badanych. Aktywności fizyczna w okresie ciąży miała znamienny statystycznie wpływ na sposób ukończenia ciąży (p=0.024) i wystąpienie samoistnej czynności skurczowej (p=0.001) oraz bliski istotności statystycznej wpływ na częstość uszkodzenia krocza podczas porodu (0.049). Wnioski. Aktywność fizyczna podczas ciąży nie ma wpływu na częstotliwość okołoporodowych urazów kanału rodnego, w tym nacinania krocza. Natomiast warunkuje wystąpienie samoistnych skurczów porodowych, lepszą tolerancję bólu i wysiłku podczas porodu oraz zmniejsza liczbę cięć cesarskich. Słowa kluczowe: ciąża, aktywność fizyczna, poród. Abstract Physical activity during pregnancy, which improves overall physical condition and prevents many ailments of pregnancy. The aim of the study was the analysis of the profile of women and the influence of activity during pregnancy on childbirth Material and method. The research was conducted among 150 women. The study has been carried out with the use of the authorial questionnaire-survey, Borga Scale and Visual Analogue Scale. Statistical analysis was performed with the use of the computer program IBM SPSS Statistics version 21. Results. The women were at the age of 19-41years. The average age of the participants equalled 28.7±5.3. The most common physical activity undertaken by the pregnant was: walking (n=29; 38.15%), fitness (n=21; 27.63%), yoga (n=14; 18.42%), pilates (n=25; 32.89%). Physical activity during pregnancy was dependent on education (p=0.031), place of residence (p=0.13), employment status (0.004) and age (p=0.042) women surveyed. Physical activity during pregnancy influence the method of child delivery (p = 0.024), the occurrence of spontaneous uterine contractions (p = 0.001) and damage to the perineum during childbirth (0049). Conclusions. Physical activity during pregnancy significantly determines the occurrence of spontaneous uterine contractions of childbirth, better tolerance of pain and effort during labor and reduces the frequency of perinatal injuries birth canal, including cutting perineum Key words: pregnancy, physical activity, labor.

Niestety, jak wynika z analiz zaledwie 30% dzieci i młodzieży podejmuje czynności ruchowe, których rodzaj, częstotliwość i intensywność zaspokajają potrzeby fizjologiczne organizmu. Celem pracy jest poznanie aktywności fizycznej młodzieży licealnej oraz niektórych jej uwarunkowań. Materiał i metoda. Badania zostały przeprowadzone wśród 174 uczniów uczęszczających do liceum ogólnokształcącego w Zamościu. Materiał badawczy uzyskano techniką ankietowania z wykorzystaniem autorskiego kwestionariusza ankiety, a następnie poddano analizie statystycznej nieparametrycznym testem χ2 Pearsona. Wyniki. Chłopcy częściej spędzają wolny czas uprawiając sport (p=0,005), częściej ćwiczą na lekcjach wychowania fizycznego (p=0,044) oraz przeznaczają większą ilość czasu na jednorazowe ćwiczenia fizyczne (p=0,000). Wśród dziewcząt wiodącym motywatorem ruchu jest zrzucenie lub utrzymanie prawidłowej masy ciała, natomiast wśród chłopców - przyjemność płynąca z aktywności ruchowej (p=0,012). Istotne znaczenie w kontekście zwiększenia aktywności fizycznej wśród uczniów zamieszkujących tereny wiejskie ma czynnik związany z dostępem do infrastruktury sportowej w okolicy zamieszkania. Natomiast wśród mieszkańców miast wiodącą rolę odgrywa dysponowanie odpowiednią ilością czasu (p=0,027). Wnioski. Dziewczęta stanowią grupę licealistów szczególnie zagrożoną niedoborem aktywności ruchowej. Programy promujące aktywny tryb życia powinny być ukierunkowane na kształcenie umiejętności czerpania przyjemności z ruchu oraz efektywnego zarządzania czasem wolnym. Niedostateczna liczba obiektów rekreacyjnych na terenach wiejskich stanowi istotny czynnik ograniczający dodatkową aktywność fizyczną adolescentów. Physical activity constitutes one of key conditions for a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately, as it results from the analyses only 30% of children and youth undertake physical activities, which type, frequency and intensity meets physiological needs of the body. An aim of the work is to analyze the physical activity of secondary-school youth and some of its conditions. Material and Method. Examinations were conducted amongst 174 pupils attending to comprehensive secondary school in Zamość. Research material was obtained with surveys technique using the author's questionnaire form, and next subjected to statistical analysis with nonparametric Pearson’s χ2 statistical test. Results. Boys more often spend their free time practicing sport (p=0.005), more often exercise during physical lessons (p=0.044), and spend more time on one-off exercise (p=0.000). Amongst girls the leading motivator is to lose or keep correct body weight, however amongst boys – pleasure of physical activity (p=0.012). An important in the context of increasing physical activity amongst pupils living in the countryside is a factor associated with the access to sport infrastructure in the area of residence. However, amongst residents of cities an important is appropriate amount of time (p=0.027). Conclusions. Girls constitute a group of secondary-school pupils particularly threatened with deficiency of physical activity. Programs promoting an active lifestyle should be directed to educate the ability of drawing pleasure from movement and effective time management. Insufficient number of recreational objects on country areas constitutes an important factor that limits the additional physical activity of adolescents. Wpływa na ogólny dobrostan, na elastyczne przystosowywanie się do ról w życiu zawodowym, na równowagę emocjonalną i większą odporność na stres. Warunkuje odpowiedzialność, wytrwałość w dążeniu do wyznaczonych celów oraz zdyscyplinowanie, a także pozwala na podtrzymanie dobrej kondycji w wieku dojrzałym i w okresie starości. Cel pracy Sprawdzenie, czy dziewczęta w okresie dojrzewania ćwiczą na lekcjach wychowania fizycznego i są aktywne ruchowo poza szkołą oraz czy ma to związek z miejscem ich zamieszkania. Materiał i metoda Badaniami ankietowymi objęto 169 uczennic gimnazjów (80 mieszkających w mieście i 89 na wsi) w województwie lubelskim. Wiek dziewcząt wahał się w granicach od 11 lat do 17 lat (Mediana = 15 lat). Kryterium włączenia było wystąpienie menarche. Na prowadzenie badań uzyskano zgody Komisji Bioetycznej Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Lublinie nr KE-0254/224/2013 z dnia 26 września 2013r. oraz nr KE-0254/246/2013 z dnia 24 października 2013r. Wyniki badań Większość uczennic, zarówno ze wsi, jak i z miasta (odpowiednio 66; 74.1% i 59; 73.8%), oświadczyła, że prowadzi aktywny tryb życia. Innych - analogicznie 10 (11.2%) i 8 (10.0%) było przeciwnego zdania, a co piąta (19; 21.3%) dziewczynka z terenów wiejskich i 13 (16,3%) z miejskich nie potrafiła tego ocenić. Regularne uczęszczanie na lekcje wychowania fizycznego potwierdziły 94 (55,6%) badane. Pozostałe oświadczyły, iż czynią to nieregularnie (68; 40.2%) lub mają zwolnienie lekarskie z tych zajęć (7; 4.1%). COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION OF FACTORS AND COMPONENTS OF SUBJECTIVE SELF-ASSESSMENT OF HEALTH JANUSZ KOCJAN Medical University of Silesia, Faculty of Medicine, Katowice, Poland SUMMARY Introduction: Physical recreation is an active form of leisure time spending. The rapid development of science and technology, which has been made over the last few decades, and the following as a result of changes in circumstances and ways of people life caused that growing number of people are deciding for sedentary form of free-time spending. Regular physical activity is regarded not only as one of the key factors of health prevention, but also allows to the proper functioning of the body in physically and mentally dimension. The purpose of this study: was to evaluate the level of physical activity of amateur tennis and the level of their quality of life compared to people not engaged in sports activities. It was also examined whether the level of physical activity, age and BMI affect different dimensions and components of health in both groups. Material and methods: The study involved 81 men aged 18-62 years (M=46,24; SD=10,43) - participants of amateur tennis tournaments. The control group consisted of 108 men aged 23-57 years (M=39,76; SD=7,98), who do not take any physical activities in the past and have no any somatic diseases. The study used sociometric techniques complemented by the own designed author's questionnaire. The level of sport activity was determined using a HPA (Habitual Physical Activity) questionnaire, while health self-assessment using a SF-36 (Short Form Health Survey) questionnaire. Results: Significantly higher self-assessment of health was noted in the tennis sample – compared to the control group. Positive correlations between sport index ang global HPA index with factors and components of health were reported. In case of control group, relationships were weaker and additionally concern impact of work index to mental component of health and mental factors. In both group, association between age and BMI index with health self-assessment was no found. Conclusions: Regular physical activity has a positive effect on physical and mental functioning of the body. Age and BMI did not show a connection with dimensions and components of health. Keywords: physical activity, self-assessment of health, quality of life, tennis. STRESZCZENIE Wstęp: Rekreacja ruchowa jest formą aktywnego spędzania wolnego czasu. Szybki rozwój nauki i techniki, który dokonał się na przestrzeni ostatnich kilkudziesięciu lat, oraz następujące w wyniku tego zmiany warunków i sposobów życia ludzi spowodowały, iż coraz więcej osób decyduje się na sedenteryjny tryb wypoczynku. Systematyczna aktywność fizyczna, uważana jest nie tylko jako jeden z kluczowych czynników profilaktyki zdrowia, lecz pozwala również na prawidłowe funkcjonowanie organizmu w wymiarze fizycznym oraz psychicznym. Cel pracy: Celem pracy była ocena poziomu aktywności fizycznej osób amatorsko uprawiających tenis ziemny oraz określenie poziomu ich jakości życia w porównaniu do osób nie prowadzących aktywności sportowej. Zbadano także czy poziom aktywności fizycznej, wiek oraz wartość wskaźnika BMI wpływają na poszczególne wymiary i komponenty zdrowia w obu grupach. Materiał i metody: Badaniem objęto 81 mężczyzn w wieku 18-62 lat (M=46,24; SD=10,43) – uczestników amatorskich turniejów tenisowych. Grupę kontrolną stanowiło 108 mężczyzn w wieku 23-57 lat (M=39,76; SD=7,98), nie prowadzących żadnej aktywności fizycznej oraz nie leczących się na żadną chorobę somatyczną. W badaniu wykorzystano techniki socjometryczne uzupełnione o autorską metryczkę. Poziom aktywności sportowej określono za pomocą kwestionariusza HPA (Habitual Physical Activity) natomiast samoocenę zdrowia za pomocą kwestionariusza SF-36 (Short Form Health Survey). Wyniki: Odnotowano istotnie statystycznie wyższą samoocenę samoocenę zdrowia w grupie badanej – w porównaniu z grupą kontrolną. Zaobserwowano dodatnią korelacje między wskaźnikiem sportu i ogólnym wskaźnikiem HPA a czynnikami i komponentami zdrowia wśród mężczyzn uprawiających sport. W odniesieniu do grupy kontrolnej, odnotowano negatywną zależność między wysiłkiem fizycznym w pracy a psychicznym komponentem zdrowia i tworzącymi go czynnikami. W obu grupach, wiek i wartości wskaźnika BMI nie korelują ani z samooceną zdrowia ani z aktywnością fizyczną. Wnioski: Systematyczna aktywność fizyczna pozytywnie wpływa na funkcjonowanie fizyczne i psychiczne organizmu. IMPACT OF KINESIOPHOBIA (FEAR BEFORE MOVEMENT) TO PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LEVEL IN PATIENTS WITH ARTERY HYPERTENSION Janusz Kocjan Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Silesia, Katowice, Poland SUMMARY Introduction: Insufficient level of physical activity is presence in general populations as well as in patients suffer from various somatic diseases. However still is little known about risk factors of hypokinesia. To date, lack is a study directly designed to assess impact of kinesiophobia to physical activity level in patients with artery hypertension. Aim: The aim of the study was to evaluate the degree of kinesiophobia and physical activity level in patients with arterial hypertension and examine the relationship between kinesiophobia level and physical activity level. Material and methods: A total of 88 (Mage=59,46, SDage=9,16) patients with diagnosed hypertension were examined. Following polish version of questionnaires were used: Kinesiophobia Causes Scale (KCS) and Habitual Physical Activity (HPA). Results: Low level of physical activity and moderate intensity of kinesiophobia were noted. Moderate and strong correlations between domains and factors of kinesiophobia with physical activity domains were found. In addition, significant correlations between time since hypertension diagnosis with physical activity and kinesiophobia domains were also reported. High level of kinesiophobia was significantly associated with high level of physical inactivity. Conclusions: Kinesiophobia may be an important factor contributing to limitation of physical activity and can play a significant role in modulation of physical activity level.
