With the new challenges and crises facing agriculture, digitalization and green transformation have become important ways to solve the problems. This paper uses an international economics perspective to chart a new path for sustainable agricultural development. Specifically, it analyzes whether two-way international direct investment (FDI) can facilitate agricultural digital-green fusion(DGF)? Using a sample of 31 provinces (autonomous regions) from 2012 to 2021, this study finds: (1) Two-way FDI can significantly contribute to agriculture's DGF. (2) In the mechanism test, it is proved that two-way FDI can promote agriculture's DGF level by promoting green technology innovation capacity and overall regional technology innovation capacity. (3) The positive effects of two-way FDI are prominent in the eastern and central regions, coastal regions, and economically developed areas. (4) In the spatial Durbin model, the local two-way FDI growth improves agriculture's DGF level in the surrounding areas to a certain extent. The government is advised to prioritize openness, foster an environment for technological innovation, leverage spatial radiation for agricultural DGF, and advance digitally empowered agricultural modernization. Digital technology is regarded as providing a promising means of moving production and consumption towards the circular economy. However, it is still unclear which functions of digital technologies are most useful to improving circularity, and how these functions could be used to enhance different circular economy strategies. This paper aims to address this knowledge gap by conducting a systematic literature review. After examining 174 papers, creating 782 original codes and 259 second‐round codes, the study identifies 13 critical functions of digital technologies which are most relevant to circular economy strategies. The paper then proposes a framework which reveals seven mechanisms of how these digital functions can enhance different circular economy strategies. The framework also reveals which combinations of the digital functions and circular economy strategies have already been studied extensively as well as where there may be gaps. This indicates which digital functions are more mature in terms of possible implementation for circular economy as well as what missing links there are in the empirical and theoretical research. The study advances the synergies between digital technologies and the circular economy paradigm through the lens of digital functions. The proposed framework and mechanisms build a theoretical foundation for future research, and we highlight five research areas for further studies. This study also provides a structured way for managers to explore the appropriate digital functions for their CE strategies, so as to identify required digital technologies and new value creation through digital functions. Digitalization and greening are key themes in global development, the manufacturing industry, as a major sector of energy consumption and carbon emissions, is in urgent need of transformation to realize energy conservation and emission reduction, digital transformation provides an opportunity for its green development. However, whether digital transformation can restrain the carbon emission intensity (CEI) of enterprises is still controversial. Based on the data of China's A‐share manufacturing listed companies from 2013 to 2020, this paper uses fixed effect model and intermediary effect model to explore the relationship between digital transformation and enterprise CEI and the influence path. the results show that: (1) Digital transformation has significantly reduced the CEI of manufacturing enterprises. (2) Mechanism analysis indicates that green technological innovation and resource allocation efficiency play a chain mediating role in this relationship. (3) Heterogeneity analysis shows that the carbon emission reduction effect of digital transformation is more significant when enterprises belong to an energy‐intensive manufacturing industry or face strong environmental regulations and industry competition. The analysis of this paper not only deepens enterprises' understanding of digital transformation and green development but also provides a policy basis for China to advocate the coordinated development of the digital economy and green economy. Improving total factor productivity (TFP) is essential to achieving high‐quality and sustainable economic development. The existing literature mainly focuses on the impact of traditional infrastructure on TFP but generally ignores the role of new digital infrastructure in TFP and does not test impact mechanisms and whether there is heterogeneity in effects. Using panel data of 30 regions in China from 2006 to 2017, this paper analyzes the impact of new digital infrastructure on TFP and its mechanisms. The results are as follows: (1) New digital infrastructure can significantly improve regional TFP. After the robustness test, the results still support the findings. (2) New digital infrastructure can promote technological innovation, optimize factor allocation, and achieve economies of scale, thus improving TFP. (3) Further analysis shows that the positive effect of new digital infrastructure on TFP shows significant heterogeneity. In regions with high economic development levels, high research and development (R&D) levels, and high traditional infrastructure development levels, the positive effect of new digital infrastructure on TFP is more obvious. These findings not only enrich the literature on digital infrastructure and economic growth but also serve as a reference for governmental departments as they optimize their strategy for developing digital infrastructure and realizing sustainable economic development. Green innovation is an essential support to realise sustainable development, while environmental regulation is an influential factor affecting green innovation, and different types of environmental regulation will have differentiated impacts on corporate green innovation. The aim of this paper is to shed light on the relationship between environmental regulation and green innovation and to explore mechanisms based on the institutional theory. Chinese manufacturing enterprises were selected as the study sample and empirically analysed using a multilayer linear regression model. The results show that command-and-control, market-incentive and voluntary environmental regulations all significantly and positively affect firms' green innovation, but voluntary environmental regulations are more effective; the level of digitalisation technology and the scope of digitalisation application are both conducive to firms' green innovation and play a partially mediating role between environmental regulations and green innovation. To provide evidence at the micro level for cracking the Solow productivity paradox, this paper deeply studies the impact of enterprise digital transformation on green innovation. In terms of theoretical research, three potential mechanisms are excavated for the first time; considering empirical research, a series of strict causal effect identification strategies are carried out. The results show that enterprise digital transformation can significantly promote green innovation, and it passes a series of robustness tests and endogenous tests. According to the theoretical and empirical results, the policy suggestions mainly include five points: helping enterprises to accelerate digital transformation; strengthening the green innovation ability of enterprises; reducing internal and external costs and promoting the professional division of labor; piloting the digital transformation policy; enhancing corporate social responsibility. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) could be considered the paramount objective for all nations in the world. In keeping with this, a sound global financial system is now required to fulfill its mandate to encourage the mobilization of private capital for the achievement of sustainable development and consistent economic growth. Blockchain, the Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence are just a few of the recent technological advancements that have been made possible by digital transformation and advancement, specifically in the finance sector. Traditional banks, regulators, and policymakers are all paying close attention to the buzz surrounding Fintech. Since the 2008 global financial crisis, the integration and innovation of emerging technologies and finance have accelerated financial technology development (FinTech). In this paper, we reviewed the literature on the evolution of Fintech in terms of regulations and policies, as well as the role of Fintech in achieving financial inclusion and sustainable development goals. We reviewed the fintech ecosystem and segregated it into three segments, from 2010-2015, 2016-2020, and 2021 to present. We have discussed the existing literature from the mentioned timeline and concluded that despite being surrounded by numerous challenges, the acceptance of Fintech has boomed over the period of time and created some new avenues for the future that support future sustainable international trade while also facilitating the SDGs. With the worsening of global climate change, balancing economic development with the ecological environment has become an important concern and topic of research across the world. It is worthwhile to study digital finance as a product of the organic combination of finance and digital technology; moreover, the study would include how it affects indirect household carbon emissions while increasing income and promoting consumption. Based on a theoretical analysis, panel data on 30 Chinese provinces from 2014 to 2020 are used to empirically test the impact of digital financial development on indirect household carbon emissions and the underlying mechanism. The impact of digital financial development on the inequality in indirect carbon emissions between urban and rural households is further explored. The research findings show that the development of digital finance increases indirect household carbon emissions. Heterogeneity analysis shows that digital financial development has a greater impact on indirect household carbon emissions in central and western regions and urban areas than in eastern and rural areas. The mechanism analysis shows that the development of digital finance reduces indirect household carbon emissions by promoting green technological innovation; furthermore, it increases indirect household carbon emissions by increasing household income levels. Further analysis shows that the development of digital finance aggravates the inequality in indirect carbon emissions between urban and rural households, and that the urban–rural inequality in household income is an important channel for this effect. The above research conclusions indicate that the development of digital finance results in economic growth at the expense of increasing indirect household carbon emissions and aggravating the urban–rural inequality of such emissions. The above results not only enrich relevant theories of digital finance but also help coordinate the relationship between the development of digital finance and household carbon emissions, which is of great importance for addressing climate change and ensuring sustainable economic development. Digital transformation has already begun to play a significant role in helping EU countries to achieve sustainable values by promoting environmental, social and governance (ESG) efficiency. It is rapidly changing the economic landscape, which leads to changes in all sectors and at all levels. The European Union (EU) has set ambitious goals for sustainable development and climate change mitigation, such as the European Green Deal and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The paper aims to test the spatial spillover effect of digitalization on ESG performance for EU countries for 2008–2020. The study applies the spatial Durbin model to check the research hypothesis. The empirical results revealed that the EU exhibits varying levels of ESG performance. Digital transformation has the potential to enhance ESG performance and has shown significant spatial spillover effects. The SDM estimates that a 1% increase in digital inclusion results in a minimal 0.001% increase in the ESG index. The statistically significant positive effects observed in key enablers, digital public services for businesses and citizens, highlight the contribution of digitalization to improving ESG performance. In addition, technological innovation serves as a critical conduit for transmitting digital transformation in the business and public sphere to ESG performance. Given these findings, policymakers are advised to strengthen digitalization efforts to narrow the digital divide, leveraging the digital economy as a potent instrument. As a new engine of economic growth, marine economy has gradually attracted the high attention of countries around the world. At the same time, digital technology is becoming a crucial propeller to empower almost all perspectives of economic sustainable development. This research delineates the exploration of the distinctive regional attributes pertinent to the sustainable development of the marine economy and its interrelation with digital technology in China. Utilizing data spanning from 2013 to 2021 across China's eleven coastal areas, this paper adopts the entropy method to develop comprehensive index systems of both marine economy sustainable development and digital technology to evaluate regional their spatiotemporal characteristics, interrelations, and potential mechanisms based on the panel fixed effects model and Dagum Gini coefficient. The results show that both the level of digital technology and green development in marine economy exhibit a steady upward trend with significant regional differences and hierarchical phenomenon. Notably, regional development disparities within the tripartite major marine economic zones are discernible, with intra- and inter-regional variances being markedly pronounced. Further analysis affirm a substantial linkage between digital technology and the sustainable development of the marine economy, positing technological innovation as a plausible conduit. Our findings advocate for the augmentation of digital technology application through technological innovation, as a strategy to foster the sustainable development of the marine economy while ensuring regional equilibrium. Governments are increasingly utilising research and innovation (R&I) policy to foster economic and societal change. Yet, the empirical correlation between these policies and socio-technical transformations remains under-explored. The report investigates this relationship by comparing the Recovery and Resilience Plans (RRPs) of Austria, Finland and Sweden, initiated under the NextGenerationEU framework post Covid-19. The report finds significant disparities in the content, process and transformative value of the RRPs among these countries. The differences in the content of the national RRPs, and the ability and willingness to seize the opportunity presented by the RRPs to drive transformation, are explained by existing national policy contexts and frameworks. Surprisingly, the role of R&I policy in the RRPs is less important than expected, despite its emphasised importance in literature and political rhetoric. In the past decade, Human Resource professionals have faced an increasing challenge in dealing with issues related to intergenerational divide in the workplace, as four different cohorts coexist. This divide is influenced by a variety of factors such as increased life expectancy, rapidly evolving technologies, the era of social networks, declining demographics, and many others. Moreover, the turbulences in the world over the last few years, such as the Global pandemic, have only highlighted existing problems and presented additional challenges. Motivating employees is inherently a complex issue, and dealing with generational differences becomes even more so. Due to that, organizations, their HR professionals, and managers are confronted with the question of whether it is possible to create a single motivational system for employees of all generations, or whether a tailor-made approach is needed. Even though it is nearly impossible to answer the mentioned question unequivocally, the goal, while writing this article, was at least to move towards the point of better understanding. After analysing multiple studies carried out by various scholars, as well as research papers, not only generational differences were touched upon, but also similarities in the context of motivation. Purpose. The study identifies the effects of the small local networks of renewable energy generation on the economy. The monopolization of digital platform marketplaces and the emergence of “platform capitalism” follow the growth of the platform business model. The emergence of “platform capitalism” and “platform cooperativism” models discussed in the contingent upon certain socio-cultural conditions. It has proven that cooperative digital platforms are particularly vital during the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine and the post-war reconstruction period. Originality. A proposed cooperative digital platform-based model develops a microgrid ecosystem to produce renewable energy. Green innovation is important and beneficial for the green development of enterprises. The development of digital technology could improve the asymmetry of information and affect the enterprise's financing modes. Currently, a definitive conclusion about the relationship between the digital transformation and green technology innovation has not reached. Additionally, studies have not yet fully explored the impact pathways of corporate digital transformation on green innovation through corporate financing modes. To fill this void, this study collected data of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2010 to 2020. The empirical analysis results showed that digital transformation significantly enhanced enterprises' green innovation abilities. Furthermore, mediating models were utilized to explore how enterprise financing modes mediate the impact of digital transformation on the enterprise green innovation. Results indicated that through internal financing and bank loans as "bridges", digital transformation promoted enterprise green innovation. However, digital transformation did not have a significant impact on enterprise green innovation through venture capital. Moreover, heterogeneity analyses revealed significant differences among different groups of enterprises. This study expands the research field related to digital transformation and enterprise green innovation by providing empirical evidence to uncover the impact of digital transformation on enterprise green innovation. The digital transformation is of great significance to green and high-quality development of logistics industry (L-GHD). This paper analyzes the theoretical mechanism of digitalization affecting the L-GHD. In the meantime, taking the urban data of China's Yellow River Basin as an example, a fixed effect model is established to empirically test the impact of digitalization on the L-GHD. The results show that: (1) digitalization can significantly promote the L-GHD. (2) Digitalization indirectly promotes the L-GHD through technological innovation input and output, optimized allocation of labor and capital elements. (3) The heterogeneity test of city types shows that the impact of digitalization on the L-GHD is more significant in non-resource-based cities. Urban location heterogeneity test shows that digitalization has a more significant impact on L-GHD in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River Basin. In the digital era, digitalization brings great opportunities and challenges for cities' environmental governance and economic growth. However, it is worth noting that the impact of digitalization on cities' green transition has not been studied from the perspective of Metcalfe's Law. This paper uses the principal component method and non-radial directional distance function (NDDF) to calculate the digital development level and the green economic performance of 269 Chinese cities from 2003 to 2019. (1) The empirical findings demonstrate that digitalization has become a strong driver for cities' green economic transformation. (2) Digitalization indirectly promotes green transition through industrial structure optimization and green technological innovation. (3) The heterogeneity results show that the positive effect of digitalization on green development is more obvious in eastern and economically developed cities. (4) Using the partially linear functional-coefficient model (PLFC), this paper studies the non-linear nexus between digitalization and green economic transition from the perspective of Metcalfe's Law. Thus, Metcalfe's law is confirmed in the green transition of Chinese cities. Green process innovation is an important strategy in the high-quality development of enterprises. Digital technology is becoming a key factor in helping businesses address environmental issues and contributes to their green process innovation and sustainable growth. Nevertheless, there is a lack of studies on how particular digital technology categories affect corporate green process innovation. Artificial intelligence (AI) is an important part of digitalization as it can provide new technical means and guidance for enterprise's innovation of green processes. This study aims to fills this research gap by revealing the logical relationship between digital technology and the green development of enterprises. Using China's A-share-listed companies as the research object from 2013 to 2022, this study employed a two-way fixed-effects model and investigated the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on corporate green process innovation and the moderating effect of multidimensional intellectual capital. The results revealed that AI positively impacts corporate green process innovation. Human capital, structural capital, employed capital, and relational capital strengthen this positive effect. Robustness tests validated these conclusions. This study expands the literature on digital technology and corporate green innovation and provides a reference for enterprises to implement green practices using digital technology. Access to quality education remains a significant global challenge today. In line with the goals outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO) in its 2030 agenda, ensuring access to education is a fundamental objective. Consequently, it is imperative to undertake an investigation into the influence of technological innovation on educational practices. This study examines the impact of incorporating the 5G network into educational settings to improve learning experiences. The analysis covered 134 articles, 62 of which were deemed relevant, classifying the research as ongoing projects or pilot studies for future exploration. The main digital tools identified were artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, virtual reality, and machine learning. The use of the 5G network appears to have a more significant impact on higher education and universities. Research in this field is mainly concentrated in Europe, America, and Asia. In addition, it is clear that the adoption of 5G technology is influencing pedagogical methods, emphasising immersive learning, e-learning platforms, and flipped classrooms. This study argues for further research into the integration of technology in education, advocating a careful examination of the implementation of 5G infrastructure and its potential to improve access to high-quality education. The relentless advancement of digital technologies has the potential to significantly reshape the energy landscape as digital technologies become increasingly integrated into diverse sectors of the economy. This study explores the intricate relationship between digitalization and energy in EU countries, focusing on its direct and indirect impacts on energy consumption, structure, and intensity. Furthermore, this study explores the mediating mechanisms that facilitate these changes, including the role of technological innovation and government efficiency in the relationship between digitalization and energy outcomes. Focusing on EU countries and using the system-GMM method, this research accounts for the heterogeneity in the impact of digitalization on energy across various member states. It examines the varying effects in different countries, considering their income levels, environmental regulations, and green investments. The results demonstrate that the strategic deployment of digitalization in EU countries substantially benefits the energy sector. Environmental innovation is essential to achieving environmental and economic sustainability. This study aims to explain whether and under what conditions green digitalization may foster firm environmental innovation. Using a database of Chinese listed firms matched with provincial‐level digitalization information from 2012 to 2018, we find that green digitalization significantly increases environmental innovation, and this effect can be achieved through enhancing R&D investment. In addition, the positive effect of green digitalization on environmental innovation is moderated by formal and informal institutional forces. We establish government support (in the form of financial investment in building digital infrastructure), government intervention, and cyberculture as the theoretically important moderators. Our findings contribute to digitalization research, institutional theory, and the literature on environmental innovation and provide important practical implications for managers and policymakers seeking to improve environmental sustainability through digital transformation. Improving energy efficiency is an important pathway for the development of green and low-carbon economy. Based on the evidence from China's green finance reform pilot zone, we apply the data of Chinese prefecture-level cities from 2005 to 2020 to analyze the action mechanism among green finance, technological innovation and energy efficiency. We find that green finance effectively promotes energy efficiency. Moreover, the analysis of action mechanism reveals that while green finance can drive green technology innovation, only high-quality green technology innovation (green invention patents) can significantly increase energy efficiency. The heterogeneity analysis reveals that green finance has a more significant effect on increasing energy efficiency in regions with large-scale economic development and weak environmental regulation. Furthermore, digital technology can amplify the driving effect of green finance on energy efficiency, and the higher the level of digital technology development, the greater the driving effect of green finance. The sustainable development concept is promoted as a theoretical frame suitable to face the challenges of the air transport market. The task is to focus on the solutions for current and future air transport strategies to provide movement of people and goods in a sustainable, equal, inclusive and efficient way. This research aims to recognise sustainable development challenges and refer to the situation of Central and Eastern European countries. The challenges to the sustainable development of air transport were grouped into environmental concerns, infrastructural and labour problems, technological change, digitalisation and changing passenger behaviour. Even though Central and Eastern European countries are lagging behind Western countries in terms of the number of passengers carried by air, they face the same challenges to the sustainable development of air transport markets. Air transport companies on their path to sustainable development should search for new, innovative solutions. There is a call for institutional changes to support sustainable initiatives. As China's digital transformation accelerates, there is growing interest in whether the digital economy can effectively boost green innovation in industrial enterprises and enable China's development to break through the constraints of resources and environment. Therefore, this study analyzes the data of A-share industrial listed enterprises (2011–2020). Results indicate that the digital economy promotes green innovation. The impact of the digital economy on green innovation varies significantly among different types of enterprises, with stronger effects on state-owned enterprises. As the climate crisis has become a growing issue in recent decades, sustainable development has become a focus of attention for the international community. In 2015, the United Nations launched the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which call on countries to grow their economies and meet their social needs with the least possible damage to the environment. The aim is to preserve natural resources for future generations. As a result, various policies have been introduced and integrated in different countries to address the problematic aspects of sustainable development. One of the most important catalysts for sustainable development is the promotion of sustainable consumer behaviour. Sustainability requires a fundamental change in individual behaviour. Achieving Sustainable Development Goals will help ensure that future generations can meet their needs. Research to date shows that individuals still do not behave sustainably. Understanding what factors influence sustainable individual behaviour and how to persuade people to behave sustainably is therefore of growing scientific interest. The external and internal factors influencing an individual's behaviour are based on information sources. The aim is to explain how, in what way, and at what level, initial information data is perceived and used by the individual. As a new economic form, the digital economy provides new opportunities to save energy and reduce emissions, but it may also become a booster for increasing energy consumption and pollutant emissions, making the sustainable development of cities face serious challenges. It is controversial whether the digital economy contributes to energy saving and emission reduction, and it is unclear what role technological progress and structural transformation play in the relationship between the digital economy and energy saving and emission reduction. In this study, the energy saving and emission reduction effects of the digital economy in cities and its mechanisms are empirically examined from the perspective of technological progress and structural transformation using the two-way fixed effect model and the mediating effect model. The results show that the digital economy increases urban energy consumption and reduces pollution emissions. The energy saving and emission reduction effects of the digital economy are more significant in northeastern cities, large cities, and resource-based cities. The mechanism test shows that the digital economy promotes urban energy saving and emission reduction through green technological progress, mainly because the energy saving from green technological efficiency improvements exceeds the energy rebound from green technological innovation. However, the digital economy has not shown energy saving and emission reduction effects by promoting industrial structural transformation. Specifically, the structural transformation of the secondary industry contributes to urban emission reduction, while the structural transformation of the primary and tertiary industries leads to efficiency loss of energy saving and emission reduction. Under the strategy of "Digital China" and "Sustainable Development," the synergistic development of digital economy and green economy has become a crucial topic. Based on the panel data of 13 cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (BTH) region from 2011 to 2019, this study investigates the direct effect, intrinsic mechanism, and spatial spillover effect of digital technology development (DTD) on urban green development efficiency (GDE). The empirical results show that (1) DTD significantly improves urban GDE in the BTH region, and it passes the endogeneity test, (2) DTD can enhance urban GDE by improving the environmental regulation intensity and technological innovation level in the BTH region; however, the industrial structure optimization weakens the promotion effect of DTD on urban GDE in the BTH region, which shows a "masking effect," (3) the kernel density estimation method and ArcGIS technology reveal the existence of "digital divide" and GDE differences among cities in the BTH region. Moreover, the spatial distribution pattern of DTD gradually forms "H–H" and "L-L" clusters in the BTH region, and (4) DTD also increases the GDE of neighboring cities through spatial spillover effects in the BTH region, and it passes the robustness test of replacing the spatial weight matrix. The digital economy has demonstrated strong resilience and great potential, under the interwoven influence of the global pandemic and severe environmental concerns across the world. Therefore, there is a need to focus on the value of green economic growth in the digital economy. This paper constructs an evaluation index system and adopts the SEEA (System of Environmental and Economic Accounting) method to measure the digitalization level (Digi) and green economy growth level (GEG) of China. The internal mechanism and linear relationship between digitalization and green economy growth are examined based on the panel data from 2013 to 2019. Moreover, this study explores the spatial spillover effect. The major study findings are as follows: (1) Digitalization and green economy growth represent a steady growth trend, and the former as a whole significantly promotes the latter, with a marginal effect of 1.648. (2) The mechanism analysis indicates the intermediary effects' size of three crucial intermediaries: green technology innovation > advanced industrial structure > the rationalization of industrial structure. (3) Both the "local effect" (0.556; 0.574) and "neighboring effect" (1.382; 1.415) of digitalization on green economy growth are positive under the two weight matrices and display "simultaneous resonance" characteristics based on the spatial perspective. (4) There exists obvious regional spatial heterogeneity and resource endowment heterogeneity. Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP systems) represent integrated IT systems that have the role of incorporating a series of modules and functions necessary for the development of the organization's activity. The digitalization process took off about ten years ago, when more and more organizations were looking for IT solutions to make their activities more efficient. The need arose as a result of the large volume of information that had to be processed daily and for which the time allocated for solving these tasks was much too large. The current work aims to analyze the digitalization method of the business using integrated ERP systems, based on the bibliometric analysis of the processed information from the specialized literature. The bibliometric analysis is based on a statistical (quantitative) analysis of written publications that address the two key concepts: ERP systems and business digitalization. Bibliometrics aims to "count" the scientific publications or the authors who wrote about the two concepts. The obtained results show that ERP systems can represent a source for digitalizing the processes of a business, integrating the organization's activity in ERP systems with the help of modules that can be implemented. ERP system modules can be implemented for each department, integrating all processed information in a single database common to all departments, access to sensitive information being controlled by each category of users. The digitalization process offers the possibility of the organization to develop sustainably, thus being able to obtain a series of financial advantages as a result of the implementation of a sustainable plan at the level of the organization. New digital Industry 4.0 solutions and smart applications are being adopted in many industries, also in the most advanced ports in the world. Still, it is not clear in which directions digitalization in ports will develop in the future. Building on the research literature and the state-of-the-art in major container ports, this research characterizes smart ports and Port 4.0 with three key focus areas: automation, sustainability and collaboration. Following the scenario building theory, this article constructs four alternative scenarios for future smart ports and shows the ways in which these alternative scenarios will lead to different prioritization of digital innovations between automation, sustainable development and cooperation issues. The process of degradation and abandonment to which many landscapes generated by industrial decay are currently exposed, together with the lack of conceptual and methodological means required for the study of and intervention in these landscapes, would suggest that the existing approach requires revision. In this context, the aim of this article is to detail the progress being made by a research project, the objective of which is to design a methodology for the analysis and enhancement of and intervention in these industrial heritage landscapes. The project proposes a series of methodological improvements and innovations that take into account, among other issues, the specificity and identity of these landscapes, their dynamic, highly anthropized nature, the diversity of scales involved, and so forth, using a method that integrates an interdisciplinary approach, emphasizes citizen participation and incorporates the use of digital tools. Green innovation activities of enterprises often fall into the dilemma of financing constraints. Hence, it is urgent that the financial system develops and becomes innovative, especially for a developing country like China. Existing literature mainly explores the influencing factors of green innovation from the environmental regulation, economic growth and government subsidies perspective. However, few papers critically study how digital finance influences green innovations. To explore the internal influencing mechanism of digital finance on the quantity and quality of green technology innovation, panel data of 271 prefecture-level cities from 2011 to 2019 in China is used. Based on theoretical analysis and empirical research, we get the following conclusions. First, digital finance can improve the quantity and quality of green technological innovation, which has become a significant driving force for green innovations in China. The results are still robust after the endogeneity tests. Second, the results of heterogeneous analysis indicate that the different dimensions of digital finance can improve green innovations. They include breadth of coverage, depth of use, and degree of digitization. The positive effect of digital finance is most substantial in eastern cities, followed by central cities, and weakest in western cities. Third, digital finance indirectly improves green innovation mainly by alleviating financing constraints. This article aims to explore the relationship between digital innovations and sustainable development before and during the pandemic, taking into consideration the level of development of countries. The authors employed both qualitative and quantitative methods, including a critical review of the literature and the analysis of a database of 31 European countries, using various indicators such as the global sustainability index, global innovation index, human capital and research, infrastructure, business sophistication, knowledge and technology outputs, country innovation performance, and creative output. The investigated European countries have been categorized into three clusters based on the level of sustainable development, and their characteristics before and during the pandemic have been examined. The study also explored the relationship between global sustainability and digital innovation. The results suggest that global action is needed to address structural factors perpetuating inequality and underdevelopment in less-developed countries. Hence, this research offers insights into the potential of digital innovations in promoting sustainable development during crises. Policymakers, development practitioners, and scholars interested in sustainable development can benefit from this research to design more effective policies and interventions for different country clusters to understand the impact of the pandemic on sustainable development and develop more effective responses. Due to the rapid changes and developments caused by technology in the digital age and the growing importance of achieving sustainability for the survival of businesses, the need to create the capabilities needed to innovate in the business model of organizations has become inevitable. This research is trying to provide a model for business model innovation with the aim of sustainability by considering the external factor of digitalization (digital transformation) and the internal factor of dynamic capabilities. The method of this research is mixed so that in the first stage the qualitative method of Meta-Synthesis is used and in the second stage the quantitative method of Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) is used. In this research, based on the systematic review of previous researches in scientific databases, 402 related articles were identified and then 46 final articles were selected during the screening process. Based on the thematic analysis, a total of 4 main categories and 14 factors were extracted. In the second stage of the research, an interpretive structural model (ISM) is developed to show the inter-relationship of different factors and their levels of importance in the food industry. The 8-level hierarchy model of factors influencing the sustainable business model innovation in the digital age with a dynamic capabilities approach was proposed. Results show that a new component called network value has been added to the traditional business model components. Furthermore, the MICMAC approach has been used to categorise factors according to their driving power and dependence. finally, digital technologies and Sensing were found to be the factors with the highest independence and the highest driving power, and "Economic Sustainability" was identified as the factor with the highest dependence and the least driving power.
