Upotreba alkoholnih antiseptika primjenjuje se stoljećima te je jedna od najvažnijih stvari u bolničkoj sredini. Zahvaljujući dostupnosti brojnih alkoholnih antiseptika, moguće je obavljati razne medicinske postupke te pritom osigurati kvalitetnu skrb svakom bolesniku. Bolničke infekcije su veliki javnozdravstveni problem te su česta pojava kod bolesnika tijekom njihove hospitalizacije. Kako bi se spriječio nastanak bolničkih infekcija, neophodna je povećana potrošnja alkoholnih antiseptika te redovita higijena ruku. U radu je provedeno istraživanje u razdoblju od siječnja 2015. do prosinca 2019. g. u Općoj bolnici Pula s ciljem utvrđivanja utjecaja povećane potrošnje alkoholnih antiseptika na smanjenje bolničkih infekcija. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da su se najveće količine alkoholnih antiseptika potrošile na odjelima kirurgije, interne te u ostalim službama OBPu. Odjeli u službi za kirurške bolesti koji su potrošili najveće količine alkoholnih antiseptika jesu abdomen 1 i 2 te traumatologija. Što se tiče službe za internu medicinu, JIL Interna je vodeća po potrošnji alkoholnih antiseptika. Antiseptik koji se kroz četiri godine najviše trošio jest Manorapid / Promanium Pure 500. Mjeseci tijekom kojih je zabilježen najveći broj bolničkih infekcija jesu travanj, listopad, veljača te rujan. Za kraj možemo reći da povećan broj bolesničkih dana utječe na povećanu potrošnju alkoholnih antiseptika te da povećana potrošnja alkoholnih antiseptika utječe na smanjenje bolničkih infekcija. Alcoholic antiseptics are being used for centuries and are one of the most important things to be used in hospital surroundings. The wide variety of alcoholic antiseptics make hospital procedures possible also it allows for a safe environment of patients during their hospital stay. Hospital infections are a huge national health problem and aren't a rare occurrence in patients during their hospital stay. In order to prevent the occurrence hospital infections, it's necessary to increase the consumption of alcoholic antiseptics and regular hand hygiene. In this paper, a study was conducted from January 2015 to December 2019 at the General Hospital of Pula with the aim of determining whether increased consumption of alcoholic antiseptics affects the reduction of hospital infections. Results of this study show the largest amounts of alcoholic antiseptics are used in surgery departments, internal medicine and other OBP services. In the surgical diseases service, the most alcoholic antiseptics are consumed in the operating room in the abdominal and traumatology departments. ICU Internal is the department that records the highest consumption of alcoholic antiseptics in the internal medicine service. The most commonly used antiseptic is Manorapid / Promanium Pure 500 ml. The months during which the highest number of nosocomial infections in OBP was recorded were April, October, February and September. In the end we can say that increased number of hospital days are having the impact of more consumption of alcoholic antiseptics and that more consummation of alcoholic antiseptics in having the influence to the reduction of hospital infections.
