Over the past decades, the software industry has expanded to include all industries. Since stakeholders tend to use it to get their work done, software houses seek to estimate the cost of the software, which includes calculating the effort, time, and resources required. Although many researchers have worked to estimate it, the prediction accuracy results are still inaccurate and unstable. Estimating it requires a lot of effort. Therefore, there is an urgent need for modern techniques that contribute to cost estimation. This paper seeks to present a model based on deep learning and machine learning techniques by combining convolutional neural networks (CNN) and the particle swarm algorithm (PSO) in the context of time series forecasting, which enables feature extraction and automatic tuning of hyperparameters, which reduces the manual effort of selecting parameters and contributes to fine-tuning. The use of PSO also enhances the robustness and generalization ability of the CNN model and its iterative nature allows for efficient discovery of hyperparameter similarity. The model was trained and tested on 13 different benchmark datasets and evaluated through six metrics: mean absolute error (MAE), mean square error (MSE), mean magnitude relative error (MMRE), root mean square error (RMSE), median magnitude relative error (MdMRE), and prediction accuracy (PRED). Comparative results reveal that the performance of the proposed model is better than other methods for all datasets and evaluation criteria. Manual identification of tomato leaf diseases is a time-consuming and laborious process that may lead to inaccurate results without professional assistance. Therefore, an automated, early, and precise leaf disease recognition system is essential for farmers to ensure the quality and quantity of tomato production by providing timely interventions to mitigate disease spread. In this study, we have proposed seven robust Bayesian optimized deep hybrid learning models leveraging the synergy between deep learning and machine learning for the automated classification of ten types of tomato leaves (nine diseased and one healthy). We customized the popular Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm for automatic feature extraction due to its ability to capture spatial hierarchies of features directly from raw data and classical machine learning techniques [Random Forest (RF), XGBoost, GaussianNB (GNB), Support Vector Machines (SVM), Multinomial Logistic Regression (MLR), K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN)], and stacking for classifications. Additionally, the study incorported a Boruta feature filtering layer to capture the statistically significant features. The standard, research-oriented PlantVillage dataset was used for the performance testing, which facilitates benchmarking against prior research and enables meaningful comparisons of classification performance across different approaches. We utilized a variety of statistical classification metrics to demonstrate the robustness of our models. Using the CNN-Stacking model, this study achieved the highest classification performance among the seven hybrid models. On an unseen dataset, this model achieved average precision, recall, f1-score, mcc, and accuracy values of 98.527%, 98.533%, 98.527%, 98.525%, and 98.268%, respectively. Our study requires only 0.174 s of testing time to correctly identify noisy, blurry, and transformed images. This indicates our approach's time efficiency and generalizability in images captured under challenging lighting conditions and with complex backgrounds. Based on the comparative analysis, our approach is superior and computationally inexpensive compared to the existing studies. A comprehensive examination of human action recognition (HAR) methodologies situated at the convergence of deep learning and computer vision is the subject of this article. We examine the progression from handcrafted feature-based approaches to end-to-end learning, with a particular focus on the significance of large-scale datasets. By classifying research paradigms, such as temporal modelling and spatial features, our proposed taxonomy illuminates the merits and drawbacks of each. We specifically present HARNet, an architecture for Multi-Model Deep Learning that integrates recurrent and convolutional neural networks while utilizing attention mechanisms to improve accuracy and robustness. The VideoMAE v2 method (https://github.com/OpenGVLab/VideoMAEv2) has been utilized as a case study to illustrate practical implementations and obstacles. Postpartum Depression Disorder (PPDD) is a prevalent mental health condition and results in severe depression and suicide attempts in the social community. Prompt actions are crucial in tackling PPDD, which requires a quick recognition and accurate analysis of the probability factors associated with this condition. This concern requires attention. The primary aim of our research is to investigate the feasibility of anticipating an individual's mental state by categorizing individuals with depression from those without depression using a dataset consisting of text along with audio recordings from patients diagnosed with PPDD. This research proposes a hybrid PPDD framework that combines Improved Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory (IBi-LSTM) with Transfer Learning (TL) based on two Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architectures, respectively CNN-text and CNN audio. In the proposed model, the CNN section efficiently utilizes TL to obtain crucial knowledge from text and audio characteristics, whereas the improved Bi-LSTM module combines written material and sound data to obtain intricate chronological interpersonal relationships. The proposed model incorporates an attention technique to augment the effectiveness of the Bi-LSTM scheme. An experimental analysis is conducted on the PPDD online textual and speech audio dataset collected from UCI. It includes textual features such as age, women's health tracks, medical histories, demographic information, daily life metrics, psychological evaluations, and 'speech records' of PPDD patients. Data pre-processing is applied to maintain the data integrity and achieve reliable model performance. The proposed model demonstrates a great performance in better precision, recall, accuracy, and F1-score over existing deep learning models, including VGG-16, Base-CNN, and CNN-LSTM. These metrics indicate the model's ability to differentiate among women at risk of PPDD vs. non-PPDD. In addition, the feature importance analysis demonstrates that specific risk factors substantially impact the prediction of PPDD. The findings of this research establish a basis for improved precision and promptness in assessing the risk of PPDD, which may ultimately result in earlier implementation of interventions and the establishment of support networks for women who are susceptible to PPDD.
