Due to the demand for safety and convenience in traveling, self-driving technology has developed very fast in the past decades. In this paper, a novel technology forecasting model is developed. The topic-based text mining and expert judgment approaches are combined to forecast the technology trends efficiently and accurately. To improve the reliability of the results, multidimensional information including scientific papers, patents, and industry data is considered. Then, the model is utilized to forecast the development trends of self-driving technology in China. Data ranging from 2002 to 2019 are adopted with proper data cleaning. Topic clustering for papers and patents is performed, and the hierarchical structures are constructed. On this basis, the results of technology's evolution based on papers and patents are compared and the development trends are obtained. With these results, it is speculated that technology on "Decision" will be the next hotspot in patents. This paper considers the product service scheduling problem with service matching. This problem is a complex scheduling problem that integrates multiple traveling salesman problem (MTSP) and multiple service types. To solve the problem, a tabu search method was presented. With the objective of minimizing the total of engineers' travel distances, total of the customer penalty values, and makespan, an optimization model of this problem is established. The historical search solutions are taken as tabu object, and limiting the quantity of search neighborhood solution is taken as the aspiration level. Accurate and timely forecasting of critical components is pivotal in intelligent transportation systems and traffic management, crucially mitigating congestion and enhancing safety. This paper aims to comprehensively review deep learning algorithms and classical models employed in traffic forecasting. Spanning diverse traffic datasets, the study encompasses various scenarios, offering a nuanced understanding of traffic forecasting methods. Reviewing 111 seminal research works since the 1980s, encompassing both deep learning and classical models, the paper begins by detailing the data sources utilized in transportation systems. Subsequently, it delves into the theoretical underpinnings of prevalent deep learning algorithms and classical models prevalent in traffic forecasting. Furthermore, it investigates the application of these algorithms and models in forecasting key traffic characteristics, informed by their utility in transport and traffic analyses. Finally, the study elucidates the merits and drawbacks of proposed models through applied research in traffic forecasting. Findings indicate that while deep learning algorithms and classic models serve as valuable tools, their suitability varies across contexts, necessitating careful consideration in future studies. Traffic accident data‐based portrait plays a vital role in accident cause investigation, relationship reasoning, prevention, and control. The traffic accident data tend to be multisourced with increasingly hidden and complicated accident relationships. The existing reported research focus more on traffic drivers' measurement of penalty, the relationship among drivers, cars, and dates, etc. How to use multisource data based on deep learning, especially based on the Chinese recent unstructured data and structured data to establish accident portrait for individual and groups of accident drivers, still lacks. Moreover, how to perform multisource accident data label extraction, identity, and relationship extraction are still challenging problems. This paper proposes a multisource accident datasets‐driven deep learning‐based traffic accident portrait method. Our multisource accident datasets‐driven deep learning model is composed of the following three submodels: (1) the structured data accident model using our accident feature‐driven bidirectional long short‐term memory (Bi‐LSTM) and accident feature‐driven bidirectional conditional random field (Bi‐CRF) model to extract labels, (2) the unstructured traffic accident data model using our accident feature‐driven piecewise convolutional neural network (PCNN) model to identify the extracted labels, and (3) the semistructured traffic accident data processing model. Moreover, to solve the problem of how to construct hidden relationship among the multisource accident data, a multisource accident data visualization method based on traffic accident knowledge graph where the accident relational inference algorithm is to complete the hidden relationship between traffic accident data labels is used and then data are visualized using the traffic accident knowledge graph. This paper uses the NER dataset of the People's Daily and a manually labeled dataset to test the Bi‐LSTM + Bi‐CRF model, and it acquires the highest scores of 0.9562 and 0.9779 compared with several other models. This paper uses the DuIE dataset and a manually labeled dataset to test the PCNN model, and it acquires the highest scores of 0.9674 and 0.9108 compared with several other models. Combining the super‐efficiency model based on data envelopment analysis (DEA) with the Malmquist index model, this paper evaluated the efficiency of the logistics distribution center comprehensively considering the truck traffic restriction and provided decision suggestions to improve the efficiency of the logistics distribution center. This paper takes 20 logistics distribution centers as the research objects and uses economic factors, transportation factors, quality of distribution center business activities, and quality of customer service as the primary input indicators; selects eight indicators such as construction cost, transportation cost, labor cost, road facilities, accessibility, business demand, number of laborers, and customer satisfaction as the secondary input indicators; chooses distribution time and profit as the output indicators; and measures the static efficiency of logistics distribution centers from two perspectives, including the traditional unconstrained super‐efficiency model and the truck‐ restricted conditions, using the super‐efficiency model of data envelopment analysis (DEA). The Malmquist index model was used to measure the dynamic efficiency and change trend efficiency of the logistics distribution center, and a unified and comprehensive analysis was also made. The results of the case study show that the average efficiency of the logistics distribution center in the driving and nondriving restriction area is 0.872 and 0.914, respectively, and the average efficiency in the driving restriction area is about 4.5% lower than that of the nondriving restriction area, and variance is 1.58 times of the latter. Therefore, it can be concluded that the measures of truck driving restriction have an impact on the efficiency of the logistics distribution center, and the results of the super‐efficiency model with the restriction constraint have a greater impact on the logistics efficiency of the logistics distribution center than the traditional unconstrained super‐efficiency model. According to the evaluation results, suggestions on reasonable assignment of labor and other resources input are put forward for logistics distribution centers in areas where driving is restricted to improve efficiency. This paper focuses on the differences in crowding perception among different types of passengers in trains, aiming to optimize passenger experience and improve the level of service of urban rail transit. Based on data from a passenger survey on the Beijing subway, this paper introduces the concept of Crowding Perception Threshold (CPT) and analyzes the principle of passenger spatiotemporal crowding. Considering factors such as gender, age, travel purpose, and standing density of passengers, the paper constructs a quantitative model of crowding perception using the ordered logit model and proposes a method for classifying the level of service accordingly. The study results indicate that the CPTs for all types of passengers range from 91.8% to 101.6%, with the females, elderly individuals, and noncommuters showing greater sensitivity to crowding. In the temporal dimension, all types of passengers have higher CPTs during peak hours than during off‐peak hours, influenced by passengers' crowding expectations. In the spatial dimension, the level of service for most types of passengers is considered crowded at standing densities of 6‐7 pax/m2 during peak hours, while the level of service for all types of passengers is deemed to be very crowded at 8 pax/m2, at which point additional passengers are not recommended. Sustainable concepts for on-demand transportation, such as ridesharing or ridehailing, require advanced technologies and novel dynamic planning and prediction methods. In this paper, we consider the prediction of taxi trip durations, focusing on the problem of the estimated time of arrival (ETA). ETA can be used to compute and compare alternative taxi schedules and to provide information to drivers and passengers. To solve the underlying hard computational problem with high precision, machine learning (ML) models for ETA are the state of the art. However, these models are mostly black box neural networks. Hence, the resulting predictions are difficult to explain to users. To address this problem, the contributions of this paper are threefold. First, we propose a novel stacked two-level ensemble model combining multiple ETA models; we show that the stacked model outperforms state-of-the-art ML models. However, the complex ensemble architecture makes the resulting predictions less transparent. To alleviate this, we investigate explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) methods for explaining the first- and second-level models of the ensemble. Third, we consider and compare different ways of combining first-level and second-level explanations. This novel concept enables us to explain stacked ensembles for regression tasks. The rapid expansion of metro networks, e.g., in many cities of China, continuously introduces the operation of new stations every year. Due to the lack of historical data and complicate variations of short-term passenger flow in the early stage of operation, it is difficult to accurately predict inbound and outbound passenger flows of new metro stations in the short term, which would be the database for train scheduling for new stations before operation, dynamic capacity optimization for new stations under operation, short-term prediction of cycle sharing demands near new stations, and so on. Traditional methods usually failed to exactly reflect the complicate rules or were unusable without the new station's historical data. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes a short-term inbound and outbound passenger flow prediction model for new metro stations at the early stage of operation by combining the K-means clustering algorithm, an improved spatiotemporal long short-term memory model (Sp-LSTM), and a real-time feedback error model (mean absolute error, MAE), where passenger flows' spatial-temporal characteristics and land-use relevance are considered. The application in Guangzhou Metro, China, where Line 21 is regarded as a new line, shows that the proposed K-Sp-LSTM model has the best prediction accuracy compared with traditional methods. The China‐Europe Railway Express (C‐ER Express) provides a transcontinental rail container service between China and Europe. As most C‐ER Expresses are affected by frequent natural disasters and public health incidents, it faces the increasing risk of network vulnerability. When previous studies investigated the evolution of network vulnerability through local information, they often overlook the complexity of the network's multidimensional characteristics. The nonlinear load‐capacity (NLC) model proposed in this paper integrates local and global information of the network. This approach enables a detailed investigation into how condition thresholds and different types of nodes influence network vulnerability. Firstly, a feature matrix is constructed for C‐ER Express based on the topological measures, freight information, and external environment scores. Then, the autoencoder is used to extract the low‐dimensional dense information, and the DBSCAN is used to classify C‐ER Express into distinct clusters. Secondly, The NLC model integrates feature coefficient to describe the initial capacity of nodes. Subsequently, the failure load is redistributed proportionally to neighboring nodes and remaining normal nodes based on time‐varying load and initial capacity of nodes. Finally, the improved NLC model is applied to the C‐ER Express under different simulation scenarios. Simulation results show that a reasonable condition threshold can mitigate the impact of small‐scale node failures on the network. The DBSCAN attack strategy can effectively identify the node types and prevent the network from chain reactions brought by different types of node failures. This paper explores the role of environmental consequences, perceived barriers, policy interventions, public opinions, and knowledge and awareness in using electric vehicles (EVs). We collected 506 responses about their intention to use the EVs to develop our hypothesis. This study uses knowledge and awareness of the EVs as mediating variables towards adopting the EVs and consumers' residences as moderating variables. It also introduces several control variables in this proposed research model to measure the effect on the intention to use the EVs. In this research study, we test the importance‐performance map analysis and check Cohen's f2 to identify a better output. The measurement and structural equation modelling results show that the environmental consequences are a stronger predictor of intention and policy interventions. The findings suggest that government policies can also have an attractive position in the EV segment. In addition, knowledge and awareness mediate the adoption of the EVs. Perceived barriers do not influence consumers to use an EV in India. We test the moderating role of residence with our construct and find a partial moderation role with policy intervention and public opinion. We introduce three self‐created constructs, i.e., intention to use, knowledge, and public opinion. Public opinion for the EVs supports consumers' intention to use, and knowledge also plays a significant role in using EVs. These newly added constructs will be essential to manufacturers and policymakers while promoting EVs. Also, environmental consequences and policy interventions emerge as significant factors of user behaviour. The paper highlights the critical predictors of consumers' intention to use the EVs. The different rail transit systems, such as regional railway and urban rail transit, cooperate to form the syncretic railway network (SRN). With the rapid development of SRN, the limited transportation capacity is inadequate to meet the booming passenger flow during peak hours, where cascading failures caused by large passenger flow become a threat to SRN. This paper adopts a state equation to depict the failure‐restoration process and investigates detailed restoration strategies considering the characteristics of recoverable and repeatable failures of stations. Specifically, three different restoration strategies—spontaneous restoration strategy (SRS), active restoration strategy (ARS), and hybrid restoration strategy (HRS)—are proposed, and the varying effects of restoration time, restoration probability, restoration objective, and restoration priority for SRN with ARS are compared. These restoration strategies are applied to the actual SRN in Chengdu, where it is found that HRS has a better effect than other strategies. Furthermore, stations in the metro network with higher passenger flow allocate more restoration resources to improve the robustness of SRN, while the restoration effect of SRN increases noticeably with the restoration coefficient and the reserve coefficient. Internet of Vehicles can improve driving and riding experience, provide information needs, reduce environmental pollution, and improve transportation efficiency, thereby promoting the rapid development and application of intelligent transportation. Especially through the advantages of the rapidity of information exchange and the flexibility of real‐time data processing, an autonomous vehicle can provide barrier‐free, safe, and sustainable transportation. At present, the rapid progress of the Internet of Things has promoted the continuous development of a fully autonomous vehicle. However, the autonomous vehicle network uses wireless communication technology, and the openness of its communication channel makes the communication process vulnerable to various security attacks. Therefore, this paper proposes a practical and efficient secure communication in the autonomous vehicle. This scheme utilizes elliptic curve cryptography, which can protect the security of multiparty communication between vehicle, cloud server, and user with lower computation and communication overhead. This paper provides security verification for the scheme by using Scyther. An informal security analysis shows that this scheme can resist multiple attacks. This paper presents a Laplace transform model for an urban tunnel ventilation system. This model allows one to witness higher performance for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) in terms of monitoring and control of an urban area tunnel based on measurement systems. This proposed model illustrates the ventilation control system framework as well as the emergency response system for urban area tunnels such that smoother controllability and higher security in the operation of tunnels can be envisioned. The salient contributions of this work can be stated as a novel method for modeling tunnel ventilation systems and the implementation of an emergency response plan for a futuristic intelligent transportation system. The simulation results exhibit that the proposed model outperforms the ventilation system in the high-density traffic jams and further the efficient operation of the tunnel. Likewise, comparison results and experimental results are addressed to emphasize the validation of this method and to be helpful in proving the reliability of the results obtained in this study. Connected and automated vehicle platoons (CAVPs) are considered an effective way to alleviate traffic congestion, reduce the incidence of traffic accidents, and improve vehicle economy in the intelligent transportation system (ITS). Vehicles in the CAVPs can communicate with each other through V2X technology, which could optimize the economy of the platoon. Cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) can make effective use of the characteristics of CAVPs and contribute to resource conservation, ecological driving, and traffic system development. In this paper, a two-stage CACC method is proposed for CAVPs to reduce fuel consumption in the multislope road section. In the first stage, the optimal velocity profiles for the leader based on dynamic programming (DP) are planned according to the road information and the fuel consumption model. In the second stage, a vehicle longitudinal third-order differential dynamics model is utilized to build the platoon time-delay system considering communication delay and actuator delay. A feedback controller is developed for each vehicle considering the internal stability and the string stability of the CAVPs. Results show that the proposed method can save 5.33% of fuel consumption compared to the constant speed cooperative adaptive cruise control (CS-CACC) method and has a better tracking performance compared to the model predictive control (MPC) method. Vehicle detection and tracking from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) aerial images are among the main tasks of intelligent traffic systems. Especially in tasks with long distances, extensive backgrounds, and small objects, it increases the difficulty of localization and regression, which can easily lead to missed detections and false positives. This paper proposes a detection-based small-scale vehicle tracking framework that integrates an improved YOLOX network and the DeepSORT algorithm to address these issues. Based on the original YOLOX network, a shallow feature extraction network, 160 × 160 pixels, is added to enhance the ability to extract small-scale object features. A convolutional block attention module (CBAM) is inserted in front of the neck network to select crucial information for vehicle detection tasks while suppressing noncritical ones. EIoU_Loss is introduced as the bounding box regression loss function in training to speed up their convergence and improve the localization accuracy of the small objects. Furthermore, an image segmentation method is proposed to effectively reduce missed and false detection events. It divides the original high-definition image into multiple subimages, first detected and then reassembled. Finally, the improved YOLOX network is used as the detector of the DeepSORT to perform small-scale vehicle detection and tracking tasks in various traffic scenarios. Experiments show that the proposed method can significantly improve the detection accuracy of the network and effectively solve the problems of missed detection and false positives in small-scale vehicle tracking tasks in high-resolution aerial images captured by high-altitude UAVs. With strict enforcement of pedestrian right of way at all intersections, the inappropriate right-turn resource allocation from a spatial and temporal perspective will lead to a reduction in the operational efficiency of the intersection. In this paper, three spatiotemporal resource allocation schemes for right-turning vehicles are proposed, considering the vehicle and pedestrian traffic efficiency in all directions of the intersection. To minimize vehicle and pedestrian delay at the intersection individually, an optimization model is established with the effective green time of each phase and three schemes as decision variables. A right-turn vehicle and pedestrian conflict delay model is developed based on the pedestrian-vehicle interaction behavior as the constraints of the optimization model. The NSGA-II algorithm is used to solve the model, and the quantitative criteria for the exclusive right-turn lane and phase are obtained by sensitivity analysis. Travel time reliability assessment has been widely used in recent years to evaluate the performance of transportation networks and measure the operation level of transportation systems. Weather, as one of the important factors influencing travel time reliability, affects the relationship between the supply and requirement of urban road networks. Considering the traffic characteristics under different traffic conditions, a study on the influence of weather on travel time reliability under different conditions is proposed to predict the probability of travelers completing their trips within the expected time under different weather conditions. Based on the urban road network data and cab trajectory data of Harbin city, this paper correlates the floating vehicle location with the road network information through a hidden Markov model to reduce the influence of vehicle trajectory errors on the calculation results of path travel time. To analyze the entire distribution of extreme travel time and its impact on the reliability of travel time under various traffic situations, it captures the tail features of the travel time distribution based on extreme value theory. Then, to increase the predictability of each quantile, it combines a deep-learning LSTM model and a quantile regression model to create a probabilistic travel time prediction model utilizing combined layers. The proposed model is compared with the linear quantile regression and neural network quantile regression models, and the model is evaluated in terms of point prediction results and probabilistic prediction results, respectively, to ensure the accuracy of predictions from the model. In the peak period of a railway system, operators typically add additional trains to provide increased capacity to satisfy the increasing passenger demand. The paper proposes a new optimization framework for designing the operation plan, which includes the number of additional trains, train type, stop plan, and timetable, for additional trains in a peak period. A space-time network representation is used to obtain a feasible primary operation plan by finding a set of feasible space-time paths in the space-time network. Considering simultaneously the passenger demand and the trains' total travel times, we formulate a biobjective integer programming model for generating a cost and passenger responsible primary operation plan. A set of loading capacity constraints are formulated in the model to guarantee a suitable loading capacity for each station's passenger demand and better service for passengers. The CPLEX solver is used to solve the proposed model and to generate the optimal operation plan. Two sets of numerical experiments are conducted on a small-scale rail corridor and on the Wuhan-Guangzhou rail corridor to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. To help related operators to allocate and dispatch the number of bike-sharing and provide good guidance for setting up electronic fences, this paper proposes a spatiotemporal graph convolution network prediction model (SGCNPM) with multiple factors to enhance the accuracy of predicting the demand for bike-sharing. First, we consider time, built environment, and weather. We use a multigraph convolution network (GCN) to model the built environment, utilize a long short-term memory (LSTM) network to extract temporal features, and utilize a fully connected network (FCN) to model weather influence. We construct SGCNPM which can effectively fuse GCN, LSTM, and FCN, thus creating a prediction method considering the influence of multiple factors. The results of the real case in Tianjin, China, show that the proposed model can perform well in improving prediction accuracy. The macroscopic fundamental diagram (MFD) is developed to describe traffic operations aggregated over an area. The MFD is defined by network traffic states as a relationship between the accumulation of vehicles and flow or speed of vehicles. The concept of the MFD has been applied to model traffic dynamics and to design control strategies. For various applications (e.g., routing and departure time choices), the MFD is often assumed to be of a particular shape, consisting of two branches—a free-flow branch and a congestion branch. However, empirical observations show some inconsistencies between the theoretical and the empirical MFD. First, the empirical MFD only presents free-flow branch, i.e., the congestion branch is missing. Second, the MFD presents as hysteresis loop(s). This paper explores these differences, providing insights into urban network traffic dynamics. This work takes the travelers' departure time choices and user equilibrium (UE) as starting points. We consider demand to be in UE in terms of departure time choices. Using this property of the demand profile, the paper proposes a closed-form expression for average density and outflow. Finally, we show some insights in the urban traffic dynamics: (i) an explanation of the hysteresis phenomenon solely from the perspective of departure time choices and UE and (ii) an explanation of why we hardly observe the MFD congestion branch in real life even in heavily congested networks. Cellular signaling data have become increasingly indispensable in analyzing residents' travel characteristic. Especially with the enhancement of positioning quality in 4G-LTE and 5G wireless communication systems, it is expected that the identification accuracy of fine-grained travel modes will achieve an optimal level. However, due to data privacy issues, the empirical evaluation of the performance of different identification methods is not yet sufficient. This paper builds a travel mode identification model that utilizes the gated recurrent unit (GRU) neural network. With 24 features as input, this method can identify four traffic modes, including walking, bicycle, car, and bus. Moreover, in cooperation with the operator, we organized an experiment collecting cellular signaling data, as well as the corresponding GPS data. Using the collected dataset as ground-truth data, the performance of the method presented in this paper and other popular methods is verified and compared. The results indicate that the GRU-based method has a better performance, with a precision, recall, and F score of 90.5%. Taking F score as an example, the outcome of the GRU-based method is about 6% to 7% higher than methods based on other machine learning algorithms. Considering the identification accuracy and model training time comprehensively, the method suggested in this paper outperforms the other three deep learning-based methods, namely, recurrent neural network (RNN), long short-term memory network (LSTM), and bidirectional long short-term memory network (Bi-LSTM). As an on-demand mobility service, parking reservations can greatly alleviate the issue of parking challenges. There are currently three primary strategies for parking reservation: first-come-first-served, permit reservation, and auction. In contrast to the first-come-first-served and permit-reserved strategies, the auction strategy uses dynamic pricing to allocate parking supplies efficiently based on the auction, which attracts more scholars for the research. However, parking reservations based on the auction process may have an inequity issue because drivers' age, gender, income level, and location of residence fluctuate. This inequity may limit the growth of reserved parking by influencing parking drivers' acceptance of reserved parking. But currently, very few scholars focus on the issue of reserved parking equity, and even fewer measure this nebulous and personal issue. In consideration of this, the Lorenz curve of parking reservation and the vertical equity index of parking reservation are proposed in this paper along with the calculation method for the index, which enables the problem of reserved parking vertical equity to be visualized and made concrete. The numerical experimental method is used to analyze the vertical equity of drivers with varying income levels, utilizing the Vickrey–Clarke–Groves (VCG) auction process as an example. According to the research, loss-averse drivers are more than gain-neutral and gain-seeking drivers when the income levels of the drivers using reserved parking are the same. With the increasing number of high-income drivers involved in the parking reservation, medium to low-income drivers would lose their chances of successful reservations because of their uncompetitive bid price which leads to inequity issues when the number is less than the number of parking spaces. In contrast, the vertical equity index changes more for gain-seeking drivers while being generally steady when loss-averse and gain-neutral drivers participate. For instance, when the profit and loss coefficient is 3 and 15% of drivers with high-income levels use the parking reservation platform, the vertical equity index rises from 0.09128 to 0.45434. The reference price has a moderating influence on the vertical equity index when the number of driver participants at high-income levels remains constant. Accurate recognition of pedestrian crossing intentions is essential for the safe operation of autonomous vehicles on urban roads. However, the current pedestrian crossing intention recognition model has the problems of relatively low recognition accuracy and short recognition advance time. Based on the above problems, this paper carried out a study on the recognition model of pedestrian crossing intention. Firstly, the pedestrian and vehicle crossing data were collected through laser radar and a high-definition monitor, and 1980 groups of valid samples were selected. Secondly, the pedestrian crossing intention characterization parameter set was determined through statistical analysis. Finally, this paper proposes a pedestrian crossing intention recognition model based on stacking ensemble learning. The ensemble learning framework integrates random forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM), long short-term memory network (LSTM), an attention mechanism, and bidirectional LSTM (AT-Bi-LSTM). Compared with traditional machine learning methods, the proposed method shows greater advantages in recognition accuracy. The model recognition accuracy reaches 95.36% when the model is recognized at 0.5 s before crossing the zebra crossing, and the model recognition accuracy is 89.27% when the model is recognized at 1s before crossing the zebra crossing. Real‐time automatic displacement monitoring of metro tunnels is vital for ensuring operational safety and contributes to carbon reduction goals by improving system efficiency. This study focuses on key monitoring elements such as displacement, settlement, convergence, and cracking. Through the analysis of continuous monitoring data, a real‐time displacement monitoring model for metro tunnels based on robotic total stations is proposed. This model can timely identify potential risks, thereby ensuring the safe operation of tunnels and reducing carbon emissions from unnecessary maintenance operations, thereby reducing the carbon footprint of metro operations. This article takes the Jinan Metro Tunnel Displacement Real‐time Monitoring Project in China as a case study and constructs a comprehensive monitoring framework using robotic total stations, intelligent automated deformation monitoring data collectors, and cloud servers. The implementation details of the project, displacement monitoring principles, monitoring system construction, and data analysis processes are elaborated in detail. Taking the monitoring data of Jinan Metro Line 2 from April 1, 2022, to May 31, 2023, as an example, the results show that the tunnel displacement is within the safe range, verifying the practical application value of the method proposed in this paper. The Dedicated Bus Lane (DBL) is often adopted to ensure transit priority. This is because transit priority can effectively mitigate congestion at the signalized intersection. However, the DBL would cause heavy sacrifices from general vehicles when the frequency of buses is low. To address this issue, many studies were proposed to reduce general vehicles' sacrifice by converting DBLs into Bus‐Priority Lanes (BPLs). Such BPLs can be intermittently open to general vehicles. However, these studies cannot ensure absolute transit priority when general vehicles access BPLs. With the advance of Connected Automated Vehicle (CAV) technology, this paper proposes a Trajectory‐Based Control (TBC) method for connected automated traffic to approach signalized intersections considering absolute transit priority. A TBC controller is designed to control general vehicles' trajectories to access BPLs without interference with buses. The TBC controller can balance the multiple cost factors and ensure absolute bus priority. The proposed TBC controller is evaluated against the noncontrol baseline and the state‐of‐the‐art TBC. Sensitivity analysis is conducted under four different congestion levels. With the emergence of Level 4 automated vehicles, it is necessary to investigate the impact of these vehicles on mode choice. Previous studies have looked at the potential benefits and drawbacks of automated vehicles, but there has been little research done on how these vehicles will impact individuals' travel behaviors. This paper proposes a needs‐based approach to study the impact of Level 4 automated vehicles on mode choice. The approach takes into consideration the travel needs of different individuals and their willingness to adopt new technologies. Through a stated preference survey in China, the data on travel preferences and the perceived safety levels of automated vehicles can be collected. Then, a model is built to simulate the adoption of Level 4 automated vehicles and estimate the mode split for different scenarios. The results indicated that private AV modes are preferred, and business and nonwork trips may be the targeted market for all AV modes. Overall, value of automation increases with income for private modes, with large variance. Furthermore, Pro‐AV attitude has a positive effect on value of automation, especially for self‐owned AV and AV subscription. Accordingly, the needs‐based approach demonstrates a promising method to study the impact of new technologies on travel behaviors and provides insights for policy makers to promote more sustainable transportation systems. The stable and efficient operation of rail transit networks (RTNs) is critical for the integrated development of metropolitan areas. However, numerous studies have indicated that RTNs are prone to large‐scale cascading failures when subjected to disturbances. To address the limitations of traditional cascading failure models, this paper proposes an innovative cascading failure model for metropolitan areas RTNs, which incorporates nonlinear load fluctuations and the bounded rationality of passengers. This model aims to capture the cascading failure characteristics of RTNs with chaotic properties under 12 combination strategies. A single‐ and dual‐parameter coupling analysis of chaotic evolution parameters and prospect theory parameters are conducted. Taking the RTN in the Chengdu metropolitan area as an example, both the static characteristics and cascading failure features of the network are analyzed. The findings reveal the following: (i) the RTN is a assortativity network and lacks small‐world and scale‐free properties. (ii) During network disturbances, a higher level of passenger familiarity with the network increases the likelihood of large‐scale cascading failures. (iii) When passengers tend to avoid risks, stations with higher carrying capacity are more prone to failures. This study proposes a cooperative lane‐changing control framework for multiple vehicles in freeway ramp merging areas, aiming to achieve safe and efficient merging. Specifically, multiple connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) form triplets to participate in cooperative lane‐changing. The framework consists of two stages: Longitudinal Headway Adjustment (LHA) and Lane‐Changing Execution (LCE). In the LHA stage, a centralized longitudinal controller is developed based on the vehicle's longitudinal dynamics model to optimize the longitudinal velocity of the cooperative vehicles and create suitable gaps for merging vehicles. In the LCE stage, an optimal lane‐changing reference trajectory is generated using a quintic polynomial and a lateral controller is designed based on the vehicle's lateral dynamics model. Model Predictive Control (MPC) is utilized for trajectory tracking. The simulation results obtained using MATLAB/Simulink, GPOPS, and CarSim demonstrate that the proposed control strategy can be applied to different vehicle speed control scenarios. Taking a specific velocity combination as an example, the cumulative control errors in the longitudinal and lateral directions for PV (Preceding Vehicle), SV (Subject Vehicle), and FV (Following Vehicle) are 1.4014 m, 0.5631 m, and −0.7601 m, respectively, satisfying the safety distance requirements. Compared to the Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) control, the proposed strategy improves control efficiency by 145.03%, 69.64%, 43.18%, and 67.61% in terms of comprehensive spacing errors, synthesized acceleration, front wheel angle, and speed fluctuation, respectively. The identification of core stations in urban rail transit (URT) networks remains a vital issue in network structure organization analysis and an integral part of network reliability evaluation. However, the identification of critical stations with a single centrality metric has limitations and the varying interactions between stations cannot be ignored. In this paper, a novel integrated approach is proposed by using the principal component analysis and topological potential considering entropy (PCA‐TPE) method. Taking the Shanghai metro (SHM) network as a case study, a Space L network model is constructed and the network topology characteristics are analyzed. Moreover, the susceptible‐infected (SI) model and the network failure simulation are employed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The results show that the SHM network exhibits characteristics of both small‐world networks and scale‐free networks. According to the experiments of the SI model, the nodes obtained by the PCA‐TPE method have stronger spreading influence than those derived by other methods, especially in the initial stage. The failure simulations illustrate that attacks against the nodes detected by the PCA‐TPE method will lead to devastating network failures. Hence, the proposed method is effective for identifying critical nodes in URT networks, and the findings of the research can provide theoretical evidence for the development planning and emergency management of the public traffic system. The rapid increase in e‐commerce and the emergence of combined passenger/freight systems in urban areas have raised the question of how best to integrate public transport services into door‐to‐door deliveries. This paper develops a variant of the pickup and delivery problem, called the two‐echelon pickup and delivery problem using public transport (2E‐PDP‐PT). In the 2E‐PDP‐PT, the transportation network is split into two echelons. Different vehicles are utilized across the first and second echelons to ensure distribution efficiency. Parcels are delivered by public transport with free capacity or via trucks between satellites in the first echelon, and logistics vehicles are operated in the second echelon. The satellites are located at the echelon borders to transfer commodities between echelons. The 2E‐PDP‐PT aims to minimize total delivery costs and improve public transport capacity utilization. We formulate a new mathematical model based on a space‐time network and adopt an adaptive large neighborhood search (ALNS) algorithm for the 2E‐PDP‐PT. The effectiveness of the ALNS algorithm is validated using newly generated small‐scale instances. Furthermore, we investigate large‐scale instances based on the Beijing Yizhuang transportation network. The computations show that an average total delivery cost savings of 4.5% is feasible. In addition, we analyze the impact of demand distributions and compare the ALNS algorithm and the LNS algorithm. Car-following models have been studied for a long time, and many traffic engineers and researchers have devoted attention to them. With the increase in machine learning, this paper proposes a fusion model based on the physics-informed deep learning framework. The purpose of this paper is to inherit the predecessors' ideas, transform them to fit a new framework, and improve the framework's accuracy. The IDM-D (intelligent driver model development) involves reenabling the effect of the following vehicle to form a complementary model (not car-following model) with the IDM (intelligent driver model). The pretreated NGSIM data are used for calibration and validation. The IDM and the IDM-D are combined with the LSTM under the framework of physics-informed deep learning, and the results are mixed in a ratio to form the final result. Using test data for simulation, the results reveal that the IDM-informed LSTM shows better performance than the LSTM and that the fusion model further improves the MSE (mean square error) of the IDM-informed LSTM. The fusion increases the accuracy during the deceleration process, which is better than just a single IDM-informed LSTM. The fusion model further explains drivers' deceleration behaviors. Queue length is one of the important indexes to evaluate the operation efficiency of signalized intersection and also the key parameter of intersection signal control optimization. Traditional queue length estimation models are mostly based on fixed detection equipment, and the models assumptions are too harsh; there are certain limitations. Based on the probe vehicle data, this paper establishes a model of queue length estimation for signalized intersection based on shockwave theory. First, based on the speed and location data of the probe vehicle, the vehicle density is calculated to estimate the intersection stop line. A real-time calculation method of vehicle arrival rate is proposed to improve the applicability of the model. Then, based on the shockwave theory, the meeting time of the queue forming wave and the queue discharging wave are calculated after the green light is on. Finally, the queue length is summed in sections, including the distance between the last queued probe vehicle and the stop line during the red light period, the length of the subsequent vehicles arriving during the residual red light time, and the newly increased queue length within the queue discharging time. This paper uses the VISSIM software to simulate the actual intersection. The simulation results show that when the penetration of probe vehicle is 50%, 25%, and 10%, their corresponding mean absolute relative error are 11.27%, 27.77%, and 39.12%, respectively. It can be seen that with the increase of penetration, the error gradually decreases. The average absolute relative error is within the acceptable range. After analyzing the existing similar methods, although the accuracy of the method proposed in this paper does not reach the highest level, it has the advantages of simple operation, less computation, and good real-time computation. To establish a suitable pure electric bus arrival time prediction model, this paper takes pure electric bus as the research object. Based on the analysis of the influencing factors of the arrival time of the pure electric bus, the BP neural network arrival time prediction model optimized by the firefly algorithm (FA-BP prediction model) is established by selecting vehicle type, SOC value, battery age, and time as input conditions. The model is trained and tested by using bus operation data. The root mean square error of the Kalman filter model is 0.351, of the BP neural network model is 0.059, and of the FA-BP prediction model is 0.04. The results show that the model in this paper effectively improves the prediction accuracy and has good reliability and feasibility. Traffic network design problems (NDPs) play an important role in urban planning. Since there exist uncertainties in the real urban traffic network, neglecting the uncertainty factors may lead to unreasonable decisions. This paper considers the transportation network signal design problem under stochastic origin-destination (OD) demand. In general, solving this stochastic problem requires a large amount of computational budget to calculate the equilibrium flow corresponding to a certain demand distribution, which limits its real applications. To reduce the computational time in calculating the equilibrium flow under stochastic demand, this paper proposes a metamodel-based optimization method. First, a combined metamodel that integrates a physical modeling part and a model bias generic part is developed. The metamodel is used to approximate the time-consuming average equilibrium flow solution process, hence to improve the computational efficiency. To further improve the convergence and the solution optimality performance of the metamodel-based optimization, the gradient information of traffic flow with respect to the signal plan is incorporated in the optimization model. A gradient-based metamodel algorithm is then proposed. In the numerical example, a six-node test network is used to examine the proposed metamodel-based optimization method. The proposed combined metamodel is compared with the benchmark method to investigate the importance of incorporating a model bias generic part and the traffic flow gradient information in the combined metamodel. Although there is a reduction in solution optimality since the metamodel is an approximation of the original model, the metamodel methods greatly improve the computational efficiency (the computational time is reduced by 4.84 to 13.47 times in the cases of different initial points). By incorporating the model bias, the combined metamodel can better approximate the original optimal solution. Moreover, incorporating the gradient information of the traffic flow in the optimization search algorithm can further improve the solution performance. Numerical results show that the gradient-based metamodel method can effectively improve the computation efficiency while slightly reducing the solution optimality (with an increase of 0.09% in the expected total travel cost). In recent years, the level of acceptance of autonomous vehicles (AVs) has changed with the advent of new sensor technologies and the proportional increase in market perception of these vehicles. Our study provides an overview of the relevant existing studies in order to consolidate current knowledge and pave the way for future studies in this area. The paper first reviews studies investigating the market acceptance of AVs. We identify the nonbehavioural factors that account for the level of acceptance and examine these in detail by cross-referencing the results of relevant papers published between 2014 and 2021 to reach a consensus on the perceived benefits and concerns. The findings showed that previous studies have found legal liability, safety, privacy, security, traffic conditions, and cost to be key external factors influencing the acceptance or rejection of AVs, and that the upsides of adopting AVs in regard to improving traffic conditions and safety outweigh the risks identified in relation to these areas. This resulted in an overall weighted average of 65% market acceptance of AVs among the 11,057 people surveyed in this regard. However, the remaining respondents were not very favourably disposed towards adopting AVs because of unresolved issues related to data privacy, security breaches, and legal liability in the event of accidents. In addition, our evaluation showed that the worldwide market purchasing power for an AV, based on 2022 prices, is around $38k, which is significantly below the current anticipated price of $100k. Accurate estimation of the road adhesion coefficient can help drivers and vehicles perceive changes in road state effectively, reducing the occurrence of traffic crashes accordingly. Therefore, this paper proposes a road adhesion coefficient estimation method based on vehicle-road coordination and deep learning. Firstly, a vehicle-based data feedback system combined with a vehicle-road network cloud is introduced, and CarSim simulation is used to expand the data set and train the model effectively. Then, the dynamic analysis of the whole vehicle is carried out, and the vehicle operation data related to the adhesion coefficient are obtained as the input of the estimation model. Then a combined model of road adhesion coefficient estimation based on self-attention (SA), convolutional neural network (CNN), and long short-term memory (LSTM) is established, to reduce the instability of the prediction, Q-learning is used to optimize the weight of the model. Finally, the model is verified by the simulation data and the actual vehicle-based data. The results show that the vehicle-based data feedback system combined with the vehicle-road network Ccloud is effective, and compared with other commonly used model, the estimation model proposed in this paper can effectively predict the road adhesion coefficient. To describe the microtrajectory change behavior of two-wheeled vehicles when encountering nonrigid obstacles, this paper proposes an obstacle avoidance model of two-wheeled vehicles for nonrigid obstacles based on the improved social force method. In the model, the obstacle avoidance characteristics of two-wheeled vehicles for nonrigid obstacles and the safety operation requirements of two-wheeled vehicles are considered. The calculation methods of the minimum boundary distance of avoidance and the boundary avoidance force range edge function are proposed based on the ultimate turning angle and boundary avoidance characteristics, respectively. The speed control and direction control behavior of the rider to the vehicle is abstracted as the form of social force, and the two-wheeled vehicle/rider individual is subjected to the avoidance force and correction force perpendicular to the direction of the longitudinal axis of the vehicle body. The centrifugal trajectory obstacle avoidance motion obeying the Newtonian mechanics is studied based on the characteristics of the vehicle body turning angle change. Different traffic environments are constructed by MATLAB software and simulated according to the model running logic, and sensitivity analysis is performed based on the actual data collected in the survey. The simulation results show that, under the same conditions, compared with μ i = 50N, when μ i = 200N, the X-axis displacement of the simulated vehicle in the avoidance process is shortened by 26.31%, and the body deflection angle increases by 50.75% at the end moment of the avoidance process. Compared with electric motorcycles, the displacement of the X-axis in the avoidance process of the electric bicycle is shortened by 16.92%, and the body deflection angle at the end moment of the avoidance process is increased by 13.68%. The simulation results show that the model can well describe the trajectory change behavior characteristics of two-wheeled vehicles/riders encountering nonrigid obstacles in real situations, and the obstacle avoidance model of two-wheeled vehicles proposed in this paper is considered to be traffic justified. This paper proposes a method for estimating the speed and position of unsampled vehicles using sampled data from connected automated vehicles (CAVs). The determination of vehicle speed and position on the road is a challenging and crucial task, as they can effectively reflect traffic flow characteristics and contribute to traffic state estimation and intersection signal timing optimization. Connected automated vehicles have the capability to upload their own trajectory data while also capturing trajectory data of surrounding vehicles through onboard sensors. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel approach to estimate the speed and position of unsampled vehicles. Firstly, using real vehicle trajectory data, the correlation between the velocity of following vehicles and the velocity of leading vehicles under different densities is analyzed, leading to the development of a velocity estimation model incorporating a speed correction factor. Secondly, the correlation between time headway, the rate of change of following vehicle acceleration, and traffic density is examined. To address the issue of heterogeneous behavior in vehicle following described by the Intelligent Driver Model (IDM), a real-time optimization model for estimating vehicle position by optimizing IDM parameters is proposed. The velocity estimation model and the position estimation model are summarized as two nonlinear optimization problems. Finally, the proposed method is validated using actual vehicle trajectory data. Experimental results demonstrate that when the number of connected automated vehicles (CAVs) is 2, the proposed method reduces the average absolute error by 30.73% and the standard deviation of the average absolute error by 42.8% compared to a linear model-based speed estimation method under different density conditions. Compared to a method that estimates vehicle position by calibrating desired gaps, the proposed method reduces the average absolute error by 38.2% and the standard deviation of the average absolute error by 41.7% under different density conditions. This paper studies a class of gradient-descent heuristic algorithms for the bi-level demand adjustment problem (DAP), which seeks to adjust origin-destination (OD) matrices based on observed link flows in congested transportation networks. We first present a general gradient-descent solution framework for the bi-level DAP and then examine and further develop its two building blocks, namely, the gradient approximation and stepsize calculation. This paper presents two gradient approximation and four stepsize calculation methods, of which two stepsize methods are newly developed. Similarities and differences between these algorithms, as well as the relevant implementation issues are discussed in great detail. The numerical results show that algorithms employing the new stepsize calculation strategies consistently outperform existing algorithms in terms of both computational precision and efficiency. Previous studies on pedestrian crossing have mostly focused on pedestrian crossing decisions; while as an important behavioral aspect, the pedestrian crossing process, i.e., their motions during the entire crossing process, has been narrowly studied. Understanding how pedestrian moves across the street during their entire crossing process helps identify risky movements and reasons for such movements, which can further help in the implementation of effective countermeasures. Therefore, this paper proposed a new and easily applied approach for investigating and understanding the pattern of the pedestrian crossing process at crosswalks based on vision-based trajectory tracking technology and UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) data. This study uses UAV for collecting video data which is timesaving and has a sufficient coverage area, compared to other methods. For trajectory extraction, the vision-based Deep-SORT-Yolov5 architecture is applied. An improved DBSCAN (density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise) algorithm is introduced for clustering and identification of patterns of pedestrian crossing processes based on their trajectories. This approach is tested via a case study involving six marked crosswalks in Shanghai, China. By using the proposed method, different crossing patterns are extracted and compared. The results show reasonable outputs of trajectory patterns, which reasonably explain the potential instincts of the pedestrians and affecting factors on the behavior of the pedestrian crossing process. Suggestions are made based on the results. This paper contributes to a more comprehensive safety analysis of pedestrian crossings by considering the pedestrian crossing process. The model, along with the UAV-based trajectory observation method, provides an easily-applied and low-cost way of traffic data collection for the purpose of pedestrian safety evaluation. In this systematic literature review (SLR), we use a series of quantitative bibliometric analyses to (1) identify the main papers, journals, and authors of the publications that make use of statistical analysis (SA) and machine learning (ML) tools as well as technological elements of smart cities (TESC) and Geographic Information Systems to predict road traffic accidents (RTAs); (2) determine the extent to which the identified methods are used for the analysis of RTAs and current trends regarding their use; (3) establish the relationship between the set of variables analyzed and the frequency and severity of RTAs; and (4) identify gaps in method use to highlight potential areas for future research. A total of 3888 papers published between January 2000 and June 2021, distributed in four clusters—RTA + HA + SA (SA, n = 399); RTA + HA + ML (ML, n = 858); RTA + HA + SC (TESC, n = 2327); and RTA + HA + GIS (GIS, n = 304)—were analyzed. We identified Accident Analysis and Prevention as the most important journal, Fred Mannering as the main author, and The Statistical Analysis of Crash-Frequency Data: A Review and Assessment of Methodological Alternatives as the most cited publication. Although the negative binomial regression method was used for several years, we noticed that other regression models as well as methods based on deep learning, convolutional neural networks, transfer learning, 5G technology, Internet of Things, and intelligent transport systems have recently emerged as suitable alternatives for RTA analysis. By introducing a new approach based on computational algorithms and data visualization, this SLR fills a gap in the area of RTA analysis and provides a clear picture of the current scientific production in the field. This information is crucial for projecting further research on RTA analysis and developing computational and data visualization tools oriented to the automation of RTA predictions based on intelligent systems. Vessel big data play a significant role in understanding vessel behaviors and thus facilitating the prosperity of waterway transportation. However, relevant research regarding vessel trajectory recognition in a broad range of narrow channels still lacks, especially using VITS data. The major objective of this paper is to conduct vessel trajectory analysis based on the novel VITS data and examine its availability in inland waterway vessel transportation. An alternate aim is to develop a more comprehensive framework to extract the vessel trajectory of multiple narrow waterways. This paper utilized vessel trajectory information of multiple narrow channels belonging to Yangtze River captured by VITS. Four compression algorithms were conducted. Additionally, the performances of three clustering approaches were evaluated. Speed distribution analysis was also implemented. The results indicated that slide window (SW) algorithm outperforms its other counterparts. Relative to DBSCAN, K-means and hierarchical clustering analysis (HCA) tend to be more capable of balanced classification. This paper is the first to utilize VITS data in vessel trajectory feature extraction and can potentially provide useful insight for vessel trajectory extraction in multiple narrow channels. With the rapid development of social economy in recent years, people's living standards are also improving. The use of automobiles is becoming increasingly frequent, and people's requirements for the safety, comfort, and energy saving of automobiles are also getting higher. This paper mainly studies the thermal straightening control system after the rolling of variable-section automotive leaf springs through edge computing based on the Internet of Things. This paper presents the basic concepts of IoT edge computing and the role they play in various aspects. The percentage of IoT development trends in 2011 was 6.7%. By 2020, the development trend percentage of IoT reached 68%, an increase of 61.3%. It can be seen that the development of the Internet of Things is very rapid. It can be seen that the straightening accuracy of the thermal straightening control system based on edge computing after the rolling of variable-section automotive leaf springs reaches 78%, and it is 29% higher than the traditional system straightening accuracy, which is only 49%. The safety of the thermal straightening control system of the variable-section automotive leaf spring after rolling based on edge computing reaches 95%, which is 33% higher than the safety of the traditional system. The thermal alignment control system for variable-section automotive leaf springs after rolling based on the edge computing of the Internet of Things is not only safer than the traditional system but also much higher in comfort and alignment accuracy than the traditional system. It can be seen that the thermal straightening control system for variable cross section automotive leaf springs after rolling based on IoT edge computing is more conducive to the development of the automotive industry. Decision-making is an important component of autonomous driving perception, decision-making, planning, and control pipeline, which undertakes the task of how the ego vehicle makes high-level decision-making behaviors (such as lane change and car following) after sensing the environmental state, and then these high-level decision-making behaviors can be transmitted to the downstream planning and control module for specific low-level action execution. Based on the method of deep reinforcement learning (specifically, Deep Q network (DQN) and its variants), an integrated lateral and longitudinal decision-making model for autonomous driving is proposed in a multilane highway environment with both autonomous driving vehicle (ADV) and manual driving vehicle (MDV). The classic MOBIL and IDM models are used for the lateral and longitudinal decisions of MDV (i.e., lane changing and car following), while the lateral and longitudinal decisions of ADV are dominated by deep reinforcement learning models. In addition, this paper also uses the nonlinear kinematic bicycle model and two-point visual control model to realize the low-level control of both MDV and ADV. By setting a reasonable state, action, and reward function, this paper has carried out a large number of simulation experiments on the proposed autonomous driving decision-making model based on deep reinforcement learning in a three-lane road environment. The results show that under such scenario setting conditions, the deep reinforcement learning-based model proposed in this paper performs well in autonomous driving safety and travel efficiency. At the same time, when compared with the classical rule-based decision-making model (MOBIL&IDM), it is found that the model proposed in this paper can significantly achieve better results in episode rewards after stable training. In addition, through a large number of hyper-parameter tuning experiments, the performance of DQN, DDQN, and dueling DQN models, which are also deep reinforcement learning-based decision-making models, under different hyper-parametric configurations is compared and analyzed, which can provide a valuable reference for the specific scenario application of these models. Toll-gates are crucial points of management and key congestion bottleneck for the freeway. In order to avoid traffic deterioration and alleviate traffic congestion in advance, it is necessary to predict and evaluate the congestion in toll-gates scattering in large-scale region of freeway network. In this paper, traffic volume and operational delay time are selected from various traffic indicators to evaluate congestion considering the particular characteristics of the traffic flow within the toll-gate area. The congestion prediction method is designed including two modules: a deep learning (DL) prediction and a fuzzy evaluation. We propose a modified deep learning method based on graph convolutional network (GCN) structure in the fusion of dilated causal mechanism and optimize the method for spatial feature extraction by constructing a new adjacency matrix. This new AI network could process spatiotemporal information of traffic volume and operational delay time, that extracted from large-scaled toll-gates spontaneously, and predict key indicators in 15/30/60 min future time. The evaluation module is proposed based on these predicted results. Then, fuzzy C-means algorithm (FCM) is further modified by determining coupling weight for these two key indicators to detect congestion state. Original traffic data are obtained from the current 186 toll-gates served on the freeway network in Shaanxi Province, China. Experimental tests are carried out based on historical data of four months after preprogressing. The comparative tests show the proposed CPT-DF (congestion prediction on toll-gates using deep learning and fuzzy evaluation) outperforms the current-used other models by 6-15%. The successful prediction could extend to the real-time prediction and early warning of traffic congestion in the toll system to improve the intelligent level of traffic emergency management and guidance on the key road of disasters to some extent. This paper used the data of automobile traffic accidents from 2018 to 2020 in the Chinese National Automobile Accident In-Depth Investigation System. The prediction features of traffic accident severity are innovated. Four accident features that did not participate in the importance ranking were added: accident location, accident form, road information, and collision speed. Eight accident features (engine capacity, hour of day, age of vehicle, month of year, day of week, age band of drivers, vehicle maneuver, and speed limit) have been used in previous studies. Random forest was used to rank the importance of 12 accident features, and 7 important accident features were finally adopted. By comparing the algorithms and optimizing the results, the prediction model of traffic accident degree with higher accuracy is finally obtained. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Tailored countermeasures that may significantly improve road traffic safety can be proposed and implemented if the relationship between various associated factors and aggressive driving is well understood. However, this relationship remains unknown, as driving behavior is complex, and the interrelationships among variables are not easy to identify. Considering this situation, this paper constructed a model based on a structural equation model (SEM) and factor analysis (FA), which is a multivariate statistical analysis technique used to analyze structural relationships. The model is applied in a case study using data from the Shanghai Naturalistic Driving Study. In the case study, 16 variables were grouped into five latent factors in the SEM, and the model fits the data well. Compared with other variables, the results show that age had the most significant positive impact on aggressive driving behavior (older drivers exhibited high aggressive driving frequency). Adverse weather negatively impacted driver behavior (lower speed and high longitude acceleration), which in turn negatively affected aggressive driving behavior. In addition, the results show that driver factors (such as age and sex) were the main factors influencing vehicle use (such as hard acceleration), and the environment was the main factor determining risky scenarios, where safety-critical situations increase. This paper provides a reference for defining and determining aggressive driving and a model for exploring the relationship between driving safety factors and aggressive driving, which can be used in real-world applications for improving driving safety with applications in advanced driver-assistance (ADAS) and traffic enforcement safety control systems. The demand for electrically powered transportation is increasing exponentially due to high fuel prices and global environmental issues. The use of electric bikes is increasing rapidly within urban mobility. The current E‐bike chargers are expensive and fail to provide proper authentication, real‐time monitoring, parameter analysis, health maintenance alerts, etc. To meet future demand, the paper presents detailed design procedures and experimental analysis of smart, user‐friendly, economical, and green charging solutions for electric bikes. The research provides an IoT‐based cheap charging facility for different workplaces, organizations, and highway rest areas. Real‐time pricing and parameters are sensed using an IoT module and observed online with a monitoring interface via the ThingSpeak platform. The parameters are visualized using both simulation and hardware analysis. The detailed power converter and high‐frequency transformer design procedure with mathematical equations are presented in the article. The proposed design improves reliability, security, timely maintenance, and system health conditions. The research provides economical off‐board charging stations with smart interfaces that can be accessed by users or service providers through the data cloud. The low‐cost smart charging stations promote the use of electric vehicles and decrease the charging anxiety of users.
