Abstract
The article presents the findings of a research conducted on examining the perceptions of public health experts from Central and Eastern European countries on public health challenges in their countries. It discusses the methodology of the research. The study identifies the factors including the need for public health funding, clinical medicine, and the problems of proving the effectiveness of disease prevention. It concludes that an effective public health interventions is urgently needed.
