Artificial intelligence (AI) with mathematical modelling is one of the most metaphoric technologies in modern history. It helps businesses around the world, improving efficiency and optimizing resources especially in supply chain management (SCM) and logistics sector. In this modern world, human life has become increasingly reliant on electricity, which serves to be one of the basic needs of human to lead a normal life. As the usage of electricity has increased over the years, the consumers are very much concerned about its consumption rate and the electricity bill generated out of it. Hence monitoring the consumption rate stands first which is very trivial and challenging by designing an efficient energy management system. This paper outlines the survey on energy management systems implemented with artificial intelligence techniques towards finding a viable solution to the aforementioned issue. This study elucidates how artificial intelligent systems are incorporated in different energy management systems to match demand and supply. A comparative analysis of different intelligent techniques with optimization goals, issues and solutions, applied to the energy management systems for effective functioning is also presented. Finally, Home Energy Management System (HEMS) using Binary Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm (BPSO) is presented. 26% reduction in the daily bill with optimization of HVAC and non-interruptible appliances was attained. Due to the interrupted supply of energy sources, effective storage model is determined to be an alternate viable option owing to technological advancement and capacity of ensuring excellent grid services. The world is moving towards non-fossil fuel-powered cars due to limited supplies and environmental risks in the form of pollution and global warming. Automotive industries have shifted their research and development from mechanically designed powertrain system to the into electrically operational vehicles. This drawback has created the need to develop automotive electrification projects and emerging technologies for advance combination of both propulsion systems known as hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) or combined source electric vehicle. Hybrid Electric Vehicle is the first success of the front running solution like today. Almost all-Hybrid Electric Vehicles are primarily battery powered. Although there are zero emissions, in order to have an efficient, optimal, safe, and long-lasting battery system, it is necessary to keep the temperature of the battery system within the specified limits. HEVs are developed under global protocols to increase vehicle fuel efficiency and minimize vehicle emissions. Such combined system has changed from their emergent state and into the optimistic solution that can solve environmental problem facing planet earth. To date, we do not have any algorithm capable of predicting the SOH of all types of batteries by monitoring the parameters over time. There is a strong need for a solution in the form of a control algorithm/program, which can optimize the operation of the battery cooling system for maximum battery life with minimum power consumption. Hence, the paper highlighted a special algorithm/pattern that shows repeated performance control for the best efficiency and long life of HEV batteries. Diabetic patients have the problem of DR which can results in blindness. It is difficult to detect DR in its earlier age. Timely treatment and the controlled level of blood glucose can prevent various issues generated by DR. Current paper demonstrates the method for detecting Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) automatically using AI. The proposed model classifies the DR fundus images using AI methods. Deep learning approach of AI is applied to the publicly available dataset. VGG16 and EfficientNet models are implemented for the classification.
