The purpose of this paper is to examine the literature on biodiesel manufacturing, combustion, performance, and emissions. This research is based on the findings of many researchers who published their study. As fossil fuels deplete, there is apressing need to develop an alternative fuel to meet the world's energy demands. Biodiesel is one of the best available alternatives for meeting the world's energy requirement. More than 350 oil-bearing crops have been identified, with some only being studied as potential diesel engine alternative fuels. Different oils and their mixtures with diesel were used in the testing by the scientists and experts. Short-term engine testing using vegetable oils as fuels are quite successful, according to the vast majority of scientists. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
