Objective. The purpose of the article is to analyse the existing methodology used to assess the efficiency of automated information security systems by studying open literature sources, international and industry standards of the Russian Federation on information security of automated systems, guidelines and orders of the Federal Service for Technical and Expert Control of Russia, as well as departmental orders, instructions and regulations on information security at informatization facilities of internal affairs bodies. The analysis results in identifying the advantages and disadvantages of the specified methodology, as well as the possibilities of its use when conducting a quantitative assessment of the efficiency of access control subsystems of information security systems at the informatization facilities of internal affairs bodies. Methods. To achieve this goal, the method for system analysis of approaches used to assess the efficiency of information security tools and systems has been applied. Results. The paper presents results of analysing the main approaches used to assess the efficiency of tools and systems for information security of automated systems. The paper determines the relationship between the efficiency indicator of access control subsystems of information security systems and the main disadvantage of their use in protected automated systems of internal affairs bodies. The paper substantiates main directions of improving the existing methodology, proposes methods and indicators for quantifying the efficiency of access control subsystems (including those modified on the basis of using new information and communication technologies) of information security systems in protected automated systems of internal affairs bodies. Conclusion. The results obtained can be used to quantify the security level of existing automated systems and those being developed at informatization facilities of internal affairs bodies.

Objective. One of the most effective ways to assess thermal protection of construction facilities of various applications is thermal control. Methods. According to the national standard “Method for thermal imaging quality control of thermal insulation of enclosing structures” in force on the Russian Federation territory, the results of thermal imaging monitoring of capital and completed construction facilities are divided into qualitative and quantitative depending on set goals and objectives. Qualitative assessment involves computer processing and visual interpretation of thermograms using specialized software. Quantitative analysis of thermograms involves determining and numerically comparing parameters of reference areas and characteristics of defects detected in an object being under thermal control. Results. The paper describes particular characteristics and results of qualitative and quantitative analysis of thermograms (thermal images) obtained via thermography of fragments of external enclosing structures of a completed construction facility—an apartment building. The paper analyses existing methods of a quantitative assessment of thermograms described in regulatory documents and methodological recommendations, and presents specific examples of their application. Conclusion. Thermal imaging diagnostics makes it possible to qualitatively and quantitatively assess the level of thermal protection of the outer shell of an object under control by “decoding” thermograms and comparing calculated parameters with standard indicators.

In recent years, intensive research on urban transport has been observed. The search is about finding such solutions that will enable, among others: increasing the importance of public transport, matching transport for the needs of people with reduced mobility, increasing capacity, reducing emissions, energy efficiency (technical and organizational dimension through the organization of transport on demand), increasing the vulnerability to recycling and remanufacturing. The paper presents the main concept and technical solutions of the innovative transport system – HMASSUT Prometheus (Hybrid Modular Autonomous System for Sustainable Urban Transport), which combines the concepts of personal rapid transport and an electric vehicle at the L4 autonomy level (according to the Society of Automotive Engineers classification). An assessment of the effectiveness of an innovative transport system using indicators used in road engineering is given in the paper. The concept of simulation and optimization of the transport network is presented together with the theory of cellular automata.

The paper proposes an approach based on the use of mathematical methods for modeling the behavior of the designed web application and user behavior. This approach allows an evaluation of the usability of this application. The paper discusses the models of user interfaces (UI), which are used to assess the convenience of site navigation. The possibility of using two classes of UI models is shown – structural-logical (ontological) and probabilistic. Models of the first class are used to assess the degree of comprehensibility of the proposed UI navigation on the search web resource in the accepted terms. For this, mathematically defined measures of similarity between the elements of the UI and their relationships and the elements of a hypothetical (but plausible) model of the user’s perception of the search area in a given subject area are used. In particular, the paper substantiates the possibility of using Jaccard and Levenshtein lexicographic distance metrics as such measures of similarity. Probabilistic models are based on Markov chains. With the help of these models, in the presence of reliable statistical data collected during the trial operation of a web application or its prototype, it is proposed to estimate the average number of user steps required to solve a specific problem of finding information about a subject area object. The paper provides some recommendations on the use of similarity measures to improve the usability of the UI of web applications. In addition, data on the technique for estimating the probabilities of transitions of Markov chains and semantic connections are presented. To clarify the features of the UI analysis models proposed in the article, the website of the RTU MIREA Admission Committee (https://priem.mirea.ru) is provided with a fairly simple organization that provides a search for information about admission and training at the University. The application of the approach described in the paper, along with traditional methods of testing the usability of UI, will increase the overall level of usability of applications, and thereby reduce the cost of identifying and correcting related errors.

Implementation of the task of creating a digital platform for a full-featured system of information and analytical support for public administration at the federal, regional and municipal levels, requires a lot of resources and serious expertise.In this regard, the subject of the study was the experience and trends in the construction and operation of digital platforms for state and public administration. The aim of the paper was to summarize the international practice of creating, operating and developing digital public administration platforms. As part of the study, the authors carry out a systematic, content and comparative analysis of various sources: regulatory documents, scientific papers, analytical materials of a number of international organizations, etc.The article presents the results of a study of world experience in the application of various tools to support e-government and support digital governance platforms. The authors describe global trends in the use of information and communication technologies to support public administration. The paper presents a list of general principles for the operation of digital platforms, gives the results of the analysis on the compliance with these principles of the state digital platform of the European Union, highlights its distinctive properties.The article forms proposals and development directions, based on the results and available studies on the development and promotion of digital management platforms, that can help accelerate the spread of digital transformation of public administration in the Russian Federation. The results of the study can be applied to identify the potential of the existing platform, its strengths and weaknesses, including in the context of the possibilities of developing the process of digital transformation of governance, as well as effectively moving towards the formation of the digital platform of public administration in the Russian Federation.

In the operation schemes of optical electronic devices (OED), such as digital autocollimators, direction finders, Shack-Hartmann sensors, as well as astro-orientation systems, projection measuring systems, geometric calibration schemes for OED, the photo-detector acts not only as a receiving device, but also as a measuring device. The tasks facing the OED photo-detectors. The solution to the problem is the use of several photo-detectors installed on one electronic board. Since OED photo-detectors act, inter alia, as measuring devices, it is necessary to perform their geometric calibration. Geometric calibration involves the measurement of interior orientation parameters used in the processing of OED images. Geometric calibration makes it possible to eliminate errors in mutual exposure of photo-detectors on one electronic board installed in the focal plane, as well as distortions introduced by the OED lens, primarily by distortion. The correctness of the interior orientation parameter determination is influenced by the relative position of the collimator, with the help of which the geometric calibration is performed, and the calibrated OED itself, i. e. the external orientation elements. The task is to separate the interior orientation parameters and the elements of external orientation. This is achieved using the method of mathematical processing of measured data in the forward and inverted positions of the collimator. This method of geometric calibration allows to use it for geometric calibration of OED with a large number of photo-detectors. The paper presents the results of the geometric calibration of the interior orientation parameters when the collimator projects a test object onto three photo-detectors of the OED layout. The factors influencing on the accuracy of the geometric calibration of the interior orientation elements for OED are determined in the paper. The developed method for geometric calibration of the interior orientation parameters for multi-matrix OED provides high measurement accuracy – not more than 0.1''–0.2''.

Introduction. Various algorithms for solving fuzzy vehicle routing problems are considered. The work objective was to study modern methods for the optimal solution to fuzzy, random and rough vehicle routing problems. Materials and Methods. The paper reviews fuzzy vehicle routing problems, existing methods and approaches to their solution. The most effective features of some approaches to solving fuzzy vehicle routing problems considering their specificity, are highlighted. Results. The Fuzzy Vehicle Routing Problem (FVRP) occurs whenever the routing data is vague, unclear, or ambiguous. In many cases, these fuzzy elements can better reflect reality. However, it is very difficult to use Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) solving algorithms to solve FVRP since several fundamental properties of deterministic problems are no longer fulfilled in FVRP. Therefore, it is required to introduce new models and algorithms of fuzzy programming to solve such problems. Thus, the use of methods of the theory of fuzzy sets will provide successful simulation of the problems containing elements of uncertainty and subjectivity. Discussion and conclusions. As a result of reviewing various methods and approaches to solving vehicle routing problems, it is concluded that the development and study of new solutions come into sharp focus of researchers nowadays, but the degree of elaboration of various options varies. Methods for the optimal solution of FVRP are limited, in general, to some single fuzzy variable. There is a very limited number of papers that consider a large number of fuzzy variables.

The paper deals with a problem of the obfuscated JavaScript code detection and classification based on Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) coloring. Colors of the AST vertexes and edges are assigned with regard to the types of the AST vertexes specified by the program lexical and syntax structure and the programming language standard. Research involved a few stages. First of the all, a non-obfuscated JavaScript programs dataset was collected by the public repositories evaluation. Secondly, obfuscated samples were created using eight open-source obfuscators. Classifier models were built using an algorithm of gradient boosting on the decision trees (GBDT). We built two types of the classifiers. The first one is the model that classifies the program according to the type of the obfuscator used, i.e. based on what obfuscator created the sample. The second one tries to detect samples obfuscated by the obfuscator whose samples are not observed during training. The quality of the obtained models is on par with the known published results. The feature engineering method proposed in the paper does not require a preliminary analysis of the obfuscators and obfuscating transformations. In the final part of the paper we analyze a quality of models estimated, discussing the certain statistical properties of the obfuscated and non-obfuscated samples obtained and corresponding colored ASTs. Analysis of generated samples of obfuscated programs has shown that the method proposed in the paper has some limitations. In particular, it is difficult to recognize minifiers or other obfuscating programs, which change the lexical structure to a greater extent and the syntax to a lesser extent. To improve the quality of detection of this kind of obscuring transformations, one can built combined classifiers using both the method based on the AST coloring and the additional information about lexemes and punctuation, for example, entropy of identifiers and strings, proportion of characters in upper and lower case, usage frequency of certain characters etc.

Purpose of the research. The aim of the study is to develop recommendations on the selection of parameters for modifying the ant colony method when searching for a rational solution to the task of appointing employees to work, subject to setting the time to complete the work using fuzzy sets and taking into account the interaction time between employees assigned to one task. The algorithm is proposed for modifying the ant colony method. Various stopping algorithms of the modified ant colony method are considered.Materials and research methods. The use of the ant colony method developed for finding the traveling salesman’s path for the assignment problem requires the creation of a “decision graph” and some modifications of the algorithm associated with entering weights (pheromone) on the graph. The paper proposes to create a graph of solutions by creating a set of vertices that determine the appointment of an employee for tasks for each employee and calculating the path in the graph that determines the solution to the assignment problem. To stop the algorithm of the ant colony method, two different algorithms are considered: the stop when performing a certain number of iterations and the stop when finding a solution that satisfies the constraints. To evaluate the effectiveness of the algorithm, the following criteria were considered: the estimate of the mathematical expectation of the number of iterations of the algorithm, the estimate of the mathematical expectation of the criterion value, the estimate of the mathematical expectation of the number of considered solutions, etc. For all estimates of mathematical expectation, a confidence interval is also calculated. According to the estimates, the paper gives recommendations on the selection of parameters of the ant colony method: the number of agents, evaporation rate, parameters of the elite and ranked method of ant colonies, etc. Both the speed and the ability to find rational solutions for different values of constraints are evaluated.Results. The work considered the task of appointing 35 employees for 15 tasks. As a result, the following recommendations were identified on the choice of parameters to the modified method of ant colonies. The more agents, the better solution found, but the number of the considered solutions increases, which leads to an increase in search time. For the evaporation coefficient, it is recommended to choose a value in the range (0.8; 0.95). It is recommended to use a ranked algorithm with a parameter 4 times less than the number of agents in the group. The problem of “cycling” of the ant colony method, caused by the passage of agents along the same routes, is determined.Conclusion. The developed recommendations make it possible to use the ant colony method to solve the problem of assigning employees to tasks. The proposed recommendations on the parameters provide high speed and accuracy of finding a rational solution to the problem. The problem of “cycling” of the ant colony method is described.

In this article, the authors consider the possibility of using a hybrid energy storage system to even out the load profile of the enterprise. Solving the problem of rational use of energy storage taking into account the initial variable load schedule will significantly reduce not only the cost of electricity consumption by the enterprise, but also the costs of its production. Detailed characteristics of batteries with various types of electrolytes and supercapacitors are given. A model of the active scheme of a hybrid electric energy storage system consisting of a lithium-ion battery and a supercapacitor unit with the corresponding characteristics is presented. The model was carried out by using the SimPowerSystems software in MatLab. During the simulation, the temperature and the aging effects and of the batteries were not taken into account. The selfdischarge parameter of the battery was also not presented. As a result of the simulation, discharge characteristics of supercapacitors and batteries were obtained based upon which the expediency of their combined use for leveling load profiles of various types was substantiated. The paper presents the results of the simulation of operating modes of a hybrid energy storage device, combining the advantages of two types of energy storage devices, as well as a diagram of delivered power to the network, corresponding to the specified parameters. The paper provides a mathematical description of the increasing power by hybrid storage system resulting from the combined use of supercapacitors and batteries. The paper presents the dependence of the power increase ratio on the frequency and the pulse current duty ratio, which proves that the maximum possible output power of the hybrid storage system can be several times greater than the power of a single battery having the same parameters.

Introduction. The process of shifting gears under load is one of the most complex types of dynamic process in the transmissions of transport, road and construction vehicles. Currently, the existing calculation methods do not fully reflect the features of the engine and automated gearbox interaction by switching stages under load using more than two friction clutches at the same time. The paper discusses the method of calculating the dynamic characteristics of the gearbox with the simultaneous use of both two and four friction clutches by shifting gears under load with forward and reverse switching. The authors present the results of the dynamic characteristics of the theoretical study of the automated gearbox with frictional stages’ switching under load and without breaking the power flow.Materials and methods. The main method was based on a system approach to the dynamic processes study and on the modeling of the gearbox operation together with the internal combustion engine. The authors took into account the regulatory, speed and load engine characteristics, resistive torque variation, rate of pressure rise in clutches by shifting to higher and lower gears. The paper performed theoretical modeling of processes using the MATLab package and the Simulink application. Using the main blocks of this application, the authors created models of physical components: an internal combustion engine, friction clutches, gear reducers, elastic shafts, damping devices and tractor power transmission control systems.Results. As a result, the authors obtained calculated data of the dynamic processes, variations in speed and rotational torque on the gearbox shafts; the load on the engine by shifting gears at different values of the start and finish time in switching on and off the gearbox friction controls. The paper presented the relevant graphs of the processes.Discussion and conclusions. The developed method of calculating the dynamic characteristics of the gearbox allows simulating workflows by shifting to higher and lower gears. This method takes into account both the parameters of the gearbox design and of the control actions: the rate of switching on the friction clutches; the time intervals of overlapping the “on and off” clutches. Therefore, in relation to the considered gearbox, the authors determine the values of the optimal time control commands of the friction by shifting.Financial transparency: the authors have no financial interest in the presented materials or methods. This paper suggests an approach to the semantic image analysis for application in computer vision systems. The aim of the work is to develop a method for automatically construction of a semantic model, that formalizes the spatial relationships between objects in the image and research thereof. A distinctive feature of this model is the detection of salient objects, due to which the construction algorithm analyzes significantly less relations between objects, which can greatly reduce the image processing time and the amount of resources spent for processing. Attention is paid to the selection of a neural network algorithm for object detection in an image, as a preliminary stage of model construction. Experiments were conducted on test datasets provided by Visual Genome database, developed by researchers from Stanford University to evaluate object detection algorithms, image captioning models, and other relevant image analysis tasks. When assessing the performance of the model, the accuracy of spatial relations recognition was evaluated. Further, the experiments on resulting model interpretation were conducted, namely image annotation, i.e. generating a textual description of the image content. The experimental results were compared with similar results obtained by means of the algorithm based on neural networks algorithm on the same dataset by other researchers, as well as by the author of this paper earlier. Up to 60 % improvement in image captioning quality (according to the METEOR metric) compared with neural network methods has been shown. In addition, the use of this model allows partial cleansing and normalization of data for training neural network architectures, which are widely used in image analysis among others. The prospects of using this technique in situational monitoring are considered. The disadvantages of this approach are some simplifications in the construction of the model, which will be taken into account in the further development of the model.

Introduction.The paper deals with traffic light regulation. This task is always relevant. Thus, even for an ordinary intersection, depending on the intensity of traffic flows, the control cycles should differ significantly. This paper discusses all kinds of systems, namely, two-phase, three-phase, four-phase and others. In addition to solving optimization problems of regulation the authors propose to use the device managed network, which allows setting the configuration of the transport network as the base graph of the managed network, and then based on the parameterization of the graph of the throughput ability of the network to solve the optimization problem of selecting the control traffic and pedestrian flow.Methods and materials. For solving the problem of traffic management on the road network, the authors proposed to use the mechanisms of managed networks. As a result, the authors presented a technique based on the calculation of saturation flows, the main characteristic of the control technique, which was activated when there were no requests from the transport detectors to turn by the green signal.Results.The authors constructed a generalized simulation model of control phases of regulation based on the usage of controlled networks, depending on the intensity of traffic flows and formed a method of selecting modes of traffic lights for different traffic situations.Discussion and conclusions.The solution of the problem of traffic light regulation significantly affects the traffic management efficiency. The authors determine the main parameters based on the analysis of traffic light control methods. As a result of the calculation of the saturation flow and information about the intensity of traffic, the authors form the method of selecting the necessary modes of the phosphor object’s operation.The authors have read and approved the final manuscript. Introduction. The paper considers improving the management quality of an educational organization through automating the personalized data collection, storage and ranking. The authors have developed a module of the university corporate system, an ePortfolio of students, which implements a multicriteria optimization method for calculating the students’ rating on the basis of the collected and stored data. The study object is multicriteria ranking methods. The subject of the study is the automated calculation of student’s rating within the electronic portfolio. The study objective is to develop tools for collecting, storing and processing data on individual achievements of students and the implementation of the mathematical method of multicriteria optimization for ranking students on the basis of the portfolio data. Practical implications include development of a tool for an effective management of the educational process.Materials and Methods. A prototype module of the university corporate system “ePortfolio” on the platform of 1C: Enterprise 8.3 is presented. To rank students, a special case of the alternative ranking method is implemented in the block of the data analysis module – pairwise comparison in order of their relative importance. At that, a unified scale of relations was used.Research Results. The authors described the scheme of the information system (IS) operation “ePortfolio”, presented a process interaction pattern for the portfolio formation, as well as a diagram of business processes under calculating an individual rating. A fragment of the sample is shown on which the performance of the multicriteria optimization block has been tested. The criteria of the calculations are described, as well as the rule of screening alternatives for solving for the optimum.Discussion and Conclusion. The paper presents the results of the IS block operation on ranking a list of students. The calculation results coincide with the practical data.

Introduction. Hole details are quite widely used in structures of construction and road machines. The specialists apply boring for draft, semi-fair, and in some cases for fair processing of such surfaces. This type of processing is often followed by the negative nature of oscillatory processes that leads to decrease in accuracy and in the surface quality. The paper studies the possibility of the calculation method’s usage in oscillatory processes, which allows assigning the cutting modes by providing required output parameters.Materials and methods. The authors used the double-support beam as a design model of a boring cutter. The solution of the fluctuations’ modeling came down to definition of point movements, which corresponded to cutter top (points of application equally effective cutting forces). The authors made the definition of movements with use of Mor integrals. Therefore, the paper considered the impact of chip formation and separation due to perturbing forces.Results. The authors carried out the calculation of forces’ values in cutting with use of the degree dependences. Moreover, the authors accepted the formation’s frequency as the frequency of the perturbing influenced structure. The frequency of the chip formation was defined on the basis of estimated dependences, which connected parameters of the tool, the cut-off layer and modes of cutting. As a result, the author received the implementations of oscillatory processes and studied the influence of different factors on vibration amplitude.Discussion and conclusions. The authors make assessment of the received results’ adequacy by comparison with experimental data. The error doesn’t exceed 20%. The developed model considers geometrical parameters of the tool (a departure, plate corners, etc.), the modes of cutting both mechanical properties of the processed material and parameters of the chip formation. The model can be used both at design of boring operations and by optimization of the cutting modes for the purpose of productivity increase.

Introduction.Since the second half of the 20th century the safety in the automotive industry has been bringing to the forefront. Therefore, researches pay special attention to stability and controllability. These properties increase in a variety of ways, one of which is using of the four-wheel steering system (4WS). Foreign literature presents technical solutions on the example of sport cars and some Japanese models.Materials and methods.The paper provided an analysis of the four-wheeled steering passenger car’s kinematics. The authors considered the turning geometry with positive and negative steering angles of rear axle, on the basis of which the researches proposed calculation formulas for determining the turning radius of the car and the angles of the wheels’ rotation. The kinematic relations used in designing a steering system with four steered wheels.Results.The authors on the example of Volkswagen Polo calculated the turning radius and controllability depending on the steering wheels’ angles of the front and rear axles. As a result, the paper demonstrated the change in parameters and the effect on the safety and handling of the vehicle. The authors also highlighted the advantages of using a four-wheeled steering system.

Introduction. Perfect polyphase unimodular sequences, i. e. sequences with ideal periodic autocorrelation and single amplitude of symbols are widely used in modern radio communications and radar. A special place among them is occupied by perfect ternary sequences (PTSs) with elements {–1, 0, 1}. In fact, these are binary sequences with the alphabet {–1, 1}, but with zero symbols in some positions. It is known that PTSs are quite numerous and their length in comparison with perfect binary sequences is not limited from above. The charge for this is a peak factor greater than one, which causes energy losses in the receiver. A large number of research papers and books are devoted to the design of PTSs and the study of their properties. In particular, the handbook on sequence design by Fan and Darnell (1996) which provides an overview of the then known PTS families has become widely famous. However, over the past two decades, numerous new PTS families were discovered, some theorems on their existence were obtained, and connections were established between them and circulant weighing matrices. Therefore, there is a need for a new review of existing PTSs.Objective. The article is devoted to a retrospective review of existing PTSs and their generation devices.Materials and methods. Considered and analyzed domestic and foreign sources of information (books, journal papers, conference proceedings, patents).Results. Along with solving an informational bibliographic problem, the review shows the relationship between PTSs obtained at different times, their connection with circulant weighing matrices, and also describes the block diagrams of generators of some PTS families.Conclusion. A brief retrospective review of PTSs for their almost 60 years history is presented and the generators of some PTS families are considered. The results of the study are relevant for use in modern radio communications and radar systems and in particular, in CW and LPI radars.

Introduction. The paper deals with the results of the reliability of urban public passenger transport routes. One of the main objectives is to consider the indicators for assessing the reliability of the urban passenger transport system, which have not yet been used in Russian practice. The peculiarity of these indicators is that the initial information can be obtained on the basis of modern bus equipment (GLONASS/GPS). The possibility of using these indicators, as well as the development of scales of reliability levels at the moment is an important scientific problem.Materials and methods. The authors proposed modern indicators for assessing the reliability of urban passenger transport routes, such as the time index and the associated buffer time indicator. The authors used the methods of mathematical statistics to process the data on the duration of bus traffic.Results. The authors obtained the reliability characteristics of urban passenger routes. Moreover, the paper presented the comparison of the reliability values on the example of Irkutsk and Angarsk.Discussion and conclusions. The authors reveal the range of values of the time and buffer indices based on the data of route networks of two different cities. Therefore, the authors offer the estimation scale of the reliability levels on routes.

Introduction.Construction of engineering structures is impossible without building and road machines. The large volume of financing is allocated for such machines’ purchase. The main ways of reducing costs of the equipment consist in more rational operation of the equipment and also in decrease of equipment’s cost by constructive changes. The paper demonstrates the new design of the single-bucket hydraulic excavator with smaller cost.Materials and methods.The main ways of cost reduction for construction machines are more rational operation and depreciation of a design with the required characteristics’ maintaining. The paper describes constructive changes of the working equipment of the single-bucket hydraulic excavator, which allow decreasing the production costs.Results.The authors describe the new bucket design of the single-bucket hydraulic excavator. Moreover, the authors carry out the analysis of the existing buckets’ design. The paper also illustrates the functioning on bucket forces while digging process. The authors describe the solutions of the problem for productivity increase of the single-bucket in hydraulic excavators. In addition, the authors make the scheme of the bucket loading while digging process. Such scheme helps to reduce resistance forces of digging.Discussion and conclusions.As a result, the paper presents the design of the working equipment of the hydraulic excavator’s single-bucket, which allows reducing resistance forces of digging. Such results would help to establish buckets of bigger capacity and would lead to the productivity increase.

Introduction. One of the classes of modern radio engineering systems are systems with spatial diversity of transmitting, receiving or transceiving elements. In such systems, an increase of the information content is achieved by signal coprocessing ensuring synchronization in time and phase of the carrier oscillation. Currently, the researchers do not pay enough attention to the requirements for the accuracy of synchronization of distributed systems of different applications, as well as simple and affordable ways to synchronize them.Objective. The paper main objective is the search for technical solutions for clock and phase synchronization without atomic frequency standards and external sources of coordinate-time information.Methods and materials. The paper considers a distributed radio engineering system with non-rigid structure. Each element of the system has reference signal from its own crystal oscillator. The oscillators are not physically aligned. The phases of their oscillations are periodically compared by the method of two-way transmission of synchronizing signals (from one element to another and vice versa). The synchronization technique (software algorithmic approach) is reduced to the coprocessing signal correction according to estimated frequency (phase) drifts. The testing of the proposed technical solution is presented on a hardware model consisting of ten receiving and transmitting modules.Results. The experiment showed that RMS of synchronization errors does not exceeded 12 degrees by phase (for VHF), or 0.2 ns by time. These results are acquired for spatial diversity up to several hundred meters, mutual speed of the modules up to several meters per second and may be extended for higher frequencies (in particular, UHF).Conclusion. The paper proposes a method of multilateral propagation to synchronize distributed radioengineering systems. Combined with software algorithmic technique this method enables to obtain synchronization accuracy in real-time sufficient for coherent diversity technique.

Introduction. The modern approach for ensuring marine activities of necessary quality related to the assessment of current information on the state of the ocean environment in Russia is clearly insufficient. The development of operational methods and instruments of observation, as well as the assessment of the state of the ocean and its forecast naturally determine such an approach. Therefore, the development of the concept, tools and methods of obtaining data is an urgent task of the operational Oceanography formation.Objective. The objective of the paper is to con-sider the concept of ocean surface monitoring using short-wave surface wave radar.Methods and materials. The paper presents a number of specific Oceanologic examples that require operational monitoring of the state of coastal waters of the oceans and individual regions. Also, it describes observational systems used in other countries. The paper pays special attention for the development of radar sensing of surface waters, carried out in our country occasionally. The resonant nature of the reflections gives the opportunity to obtain maps of high-precision measurements of surface currents and wave characteristics on the long-range area in real time. The paper notes difficulties of the experiments implementation and the results interpretation, shows the insistent issues for the establishment of the ocean surface operational monitoring, and gives the approaches for solvation of the existing problems. The paper formulates the main task of the world ocean parameters forecast for ensuring of the sea transport safety from natural and anthropogenic threats, as well as formulates the problems solution of effective nature management.Results. The paper shows that the optimal means of natural data acquisition is the creation of an observation network of coastal HF radars, which enables to assess surface currents and wave characteristics, as well as to solve the problem of monitoring. It is Important to develop an adequate coastal model and correlate its parameters with experimental data. The adaptive modeling and monitoring by modern technical means can overcome inadequacy of physical models to specific natural conditions can.Conclusion. By assimilation in hydrodynamic and wave models, these data become applicable in spatial mapping of hydrophysical inhomogeneities of the water layer, sound velocity, and underwater acoustic noise.

Nowadays the interest in search of ways of improving the efficiency of small radar cross-section aerial objects detection and localization rises against the background of widespread use of light and unmanned aerial vehi-cles. As a result, researchers pay attention to radar systems (RS) with continuous linear frequency modulation (linear FM) signal. The use of such signals gives the measurable opportunity to reduce radar system peak-speech power and to cut the cost and weightsize parameters of the RS. The paper observes low-power ground based radar implementation prospects for purposes of detection and estimation of motion rates of small-sized aerial objects. The proposed algorithm of radar signals processing enables to simplify the detection of such tar-gets. The paper reveals the structure and defines the steps of the algorithm. The fundamental for the algorithm under consideration is the method of the range-Doppler image composition of the scanned area using digital signal processing. The paper presents the results of the algorithm operation in the low-power RS of C-band radar, obtained by processing of quadrotor echo-signals during the real experiment. The results show successful solvation of the applied problem of detection and tracking on the small-sized aerial object with the radar cross-section equal to less than 0.5 m2 and the spectrum of secondary radiation characterized by the expressed multimodality. The results of the experiment validate the application of the algorithm and demonstrate the possibility of the algorithm implementation in design of portable RS and automated target acquisition centers for detecting and tracking of the small-sized aerial targets (both, single as multi agent) with the information display on operator control panel.

Introduction. A special case of synthesizing the same electromechanical control system by the Pontryagin maximum principle and by the synergetic synthesis method is considered. The task was to solve the synthesis problem of the time optimal electromechanical position control system; herewith the travel resistance modulus linearly depended on the output coordinate of the system. This approach to the selection of the synthesis problem was because the synthesis of time optimal systems is one of the most widespread problems, and it is solved by increasing the efficiency of the existing control systems.Materials and Methods. Synthesis of the time optimal linear control system based on the maximum principle is a widely accepted problem in the modern control theory. However, the procedure of synergistic synthesis does not have such formalization. This being the case, the paper suggests an approach that brings together these two methods, which, in our opinion, will increase the efficiency of the synergistic synthesis method through adding some features of the synthesis methodology for optimal systems.Research Results. The paper formulates two key concepts. The first one is as follows: the application of the maximum principle for an object of the DC motor class when synthesizing the positioning algorithm under the conditions of linear loading functionally dependent on the engine rotation angle allows the time optimal system to be optimized. The second concept states that synthesis of a control system based on the synergistic approach enables to obtain a system close to optimal (quasioptimal), but after modifying the synergetic synthesis method itself. A hypothesis is formulated on the possible connection between the introduced (when implementing the procedure of state space extension in the synergetic synthesis method) time constants with the optimal switching time of control defined in the maximum method.Discussion and Conclusions. The synthesis through the maximum control technique and the ADAR method is performed. In virtue of the comparison of efficiency of these methods, a hypothesis is put forward on the possible compatibility of the studied methods.

Electromyographic noise is one of the most common noises in electrocardiogram. In case of several electrocardiogram leads, electromyographic noise affects each lead to different extent. It can be taken into account when developing algorithms for multilead electrocardiogram record processing. However, in the existing literature, there is no information about the relationship of electromyographic noise in various ECG leads and their joint probability distribution. The purpose of this paper is to study statistical characteristics of electromyographic noise in ECG signal, from which the electromyographic noise is extracted. The paper proposes a method for extracting electromyographic noise from electrocardiogram signal, based on a polynomial approximation of electrocardiogram signal fragments in sliding window with overlapping fragment subsequent weight averaging. Using this method, fragments of electromyographic noise are extracted from multichannel electrocardiogram records. Based on the obtained data, a joint probability distribution function of electromyographic noise in two adjacent leads is selected, and the correlation relationships between the electromyographic noise in various ECG leads are investigated. The results show that the joint probability distribution function of electromyographic noise in two adjacent leads in the first approximation can be described using bivariate normal distribution. In addition, between the samples of electromyographic noise from two adjacent leads quite strong correlation relationships can be observed.

Block ciphers form one of the main classes of cryptographic algorithms. One of the challenges in development of block ciphers, like any other cryptographic algorithms, is the analysis of their cryptographic security. In the course of such analysis, statistical testing of block ciphers is often used. The paper reviews literature on statistical testing of block ciphers.The first section of the paper briefly and informally discusses approaches to the definition of the concept of a random sequence, including the Kolmogorov, von Mises, and Martin-Löf approaches and the unpredictability-related approach. However, all these approaches to the definition of randomness are not directly applicable in practice.The second section describes statistical tests of binary sequences. It provides brief descriptions of the tests included in the DieHard, NIST STS, RaBiGeTe statistical test suites.The third section provides the appropriate information to present further the operation modes of block ciphers.The fourth section deals with techniques for statistical testing of block ciphers. Usually such techniques lie in the fact that based on the block cipher under test, various generators of the pseudorandom sequences are built, with their output sequences being tested using any suite of statistical tests. The approaches to the construction of such generators are given.The paper describes the most known statistical test technique for block ciphers among the submitted for the AES competition. It is a technique the NIST uses for statistical testing of ciphers. In this paper we discuss lower bounds for convergence of convex optimization methods of high order and attainability of this bounds. We formulate a hypothesis that covers all the cases. It is noticeable that we provide this statement without a proof. Newton method is the most famous method that uses gradient and Hessian of optimized function. However, it converges locally even for strongly convex functions. Global convergence can be achieved with cubic regularization of Newton method [Nesterov, Polyak, 2006], whose iteration cost is comparable with iteration cost of Newton method and is equivalent to inversion of Hessian of optimized function. Yu.Nesterov proposed accelerated variant of Newton method with cubic regularization in 2008 [Nesterov, 2008]. R.Monteiro and B. Svaiter managed to improve global convergence of cubic regularized method in 2013 [Monteiro, Svaiter, 2013]. Y.Arjevani, O. Shamir and R. Shiff showed that convergence bound of Monteiro and Svaiter is optimal (cannot be improved by more than logarithmic factor with any second order method) in 2017 [Arjevani et al., 2017]. They also managed to find bounds for convex optimization methods of p-th order for $p 2$. However, they got bounds only for first and second order methods for strongly convex functions. In 2018 Yu.Nesterov proposed third order convex optimization methods with rate of convergence that is close to this lower bounds and with similar to Newton method cost of iteration [Nesterov, 2018]. Consequently, it was showed that high order methods can be practical. In this paper we formulate lower bounds for p-th order methods for $p 3$ for strongly convex unconstrained optimization problems. This paper can be viewed as a little survey of state of the art of high order optimization methods.

There are a large number of examples of using the population-based algorithms (P-algorithms) to have a successful solution for complex practical tasks of global optimization, for instance, problems of computer-aided design, synthesis of complex chemical compounds, optimal control of dynamic systems, etc. P-algorithms are also successfully used in multi-criteria optimization, when a preliminary construction of some Pareto set (front) approximation is required. P-algorithms are numerous and very diverse – over 100 such algorithms are known, and new algorithms continue to appear. In this connection, the problem of systematizing expressive means of P-algorithms is of relevance. We consider one of the components of this problem that is the problem of classification of the search operators of P-algorithms.The paper formulates a global optimization problem and a general scheme of the P-algorithms to solve it. This multilevel classification of the main search operators of P-algorithms at the highest level of the hierarchy identifies the following operators: initialization of the population and the end of the search; coding of individuals; randomization; selection; crossing; population management; local search.These operators at the next hierarchical level are divided into deterministic and stochastic ones. Further, we distinguish static, dynamic program and dynamic adaptive operators. The following classification levels are "operator dependent", that is, generally speaking, different for each operator. We reveal the essence of these operators and give the use cases in various P-algorithms.Although the paper uses the names of operators such as selection, crossing, our orientation is not only to evolutionary algorithms. A description scheme of operators presented in this paper can be used to determine any population-based algorithms.The work development expects extending a set of operators presented, and, above all, using this set and a set of basic essences of population algorithms, the formalization of which was earlier proposed by the author, systematizing the most known algorithms of this class.

Sintered friction materials are widely used in friction units of automotive vehicles and special purpose vehicles. The main purpose is to transmit torque to the actuator. The development of the technology market requires the development and use of new units. At the same time, the creation of new materials is required, which also applies to sintered friction materials. This group of materials is characterized by a high service life, efficiency of torque transmission, as well as the ability to restore performance in case of violation of operating modes. One of the most significant parameters characterizing a sintered friction material is wear resistance. In most cases, it determines not only the resource of the unit itself, but the entire machine as a whole. A special place is occupied by brake units, which also use friction materials. The increased wear resistance of the friction material contributes to a decrease in the efficiency and service life of the brake system. Evaluation of the wear resistance of a friction material for the given operational parameters is a very long and costly process. The development of methodology and methods for accelerating the assessment of wear resistance is an important scientific and practical task. The paper presents the results of using artificial neural networks to predict the service life of a composite friction material based on copper on the sliding speed, pressure on the material and the amount of lubricant supplied to the friction zone. An artificial neural network has been trained using an array of experimental data for the FM-15 friction material. The training results have shown high accuracy, correctness of the proposed and implemented network architecture. The developed software has demonstrated its efficiency and the possibility of using it in calculations to determine the wear of a composite friction material.

The article studies examples of the use of innovative technologies in the field of “Smart City”, which is a key factor contributing to the implementation of the concept of “Smart City”. The paper presents various approaches to the implementation of information technologies, analyses case studies on the management of smart cities of the world, which justify the change in the approach from isolated vertical management to integrated holistic management. The study also analyses various examples of the use of innovative technologies and approaches in the context of “Smart City”, identifies the trends in their development. At the end, the authors carried out the analysis of the domestic experience of applying the concept of “Smart City” and the results achieved.

The analysis of scientific papers devoted to the mathematical description of electric generators of reciprocating motion with permanent magnets demonstrated that the proposed mathematical models of this type of generators are based on the theory of magnetic circuits. Such mathematical models are based on a simplified representation of the magnetic system and the magnetic field in the form of a magnetic circuit with corresponding magnetic conductivities. However, unlike traditional rotary type electric machines, electric generators of reciprocating motion have a number of features, the omission of which in mathematical modeling causes the increase of the cost of their creation (due to the duration of the design and experimental refinement of the generators). Therefore, at the initial stages of electromagnetic calculation and solving optimization problems, it is necessary to use adequate mathematical models to improve the accuracy of calculations of the parameters of these generators. For this purpose, a mathematical model based on field theory can be used; however, its main drawback is the complexity of its application for solving optimization problems. In this regard, to improve the accuracy of calculations of the parameters of electric generators of reciprocating motion with permanent magnets, it is proposed to use refining coefficients (coefficients of scattering and buckling of the magnetic flux) in mathematical models based on the theory of magnetic circuits. The authors have developed refined electromagnetic models of electric generators of reciprocating motion with permanent magnets, which make it possible to obtain the main parameters of generators at the initial stages of electromagnetic calculation and when solving optimization problems with acceptable accuracy. A distinctive feature of the refined electromagnetic models of generators is the consideration of the scattering and buckling coefficients of the magnetic flux in the magnetic system that change during the simulation.

The article develops a methodological basis for choosing the optimal model for managing the agglomeration of settlements. The existing agglomeration problems and the need to accelerate growth due to the agglomeration effect form a challenge to the agglomeration governance system. For an adequate response it is important to understand the capabilities of governance models. These capabilities can be expressed through the description of the features of the models.For a large-scale description of the features of models, it is necessary to form groups of features, characterize each feature, compare the models according to the degree of its manifestation, and, if possible, explain the reason for the differences. The article investigates research papers within the framework of the theory of municipal reformers, the theory of public choice, in particular on the issues of centralization / decentralization of municipalities, intermunicipal cooperation, the efficiency of the economy of the public sector. The authors used general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, grouping, comparison.The revealed features make it possible to assess the governance model in terms of what the agglomeration will receive from its implementation. All features are combined into five groups: economic, social, administrative efficiency, democratization, stability. The study revealed 29 features, presented their explanation and degree of development, depending on the type of governance model.As a result of the study, the possibilities for justifying the feasibility of introducing models have increased. The authors represented scientific novelty by a more complete list of the features of models, a more detailed presentation of them, the approach of presenting information “from features”, a convenient grouping that allows you to use the characteristic to assess the effectiveness of the activities of government authorities. The study can be useful for civil servants in charge of agglomeration processes.

International audience; The paper deals with the problem of identification of linearly varying frequency of sinusoidal signal with unknown amplitude and phase. Identification task for linearly varying frequency occurs, for example, during telescope operation control and it is of practical interest. Existing synthesis methods for identification algorithms of linearly varying frequency of sinusoidal signal use unlimited functions of time that is not attractive from a technical point of view, since the measurement noise multiplied by an unlimited function tends to give extremely poor estimates of the tunable parameter. This paper proposes a new approach for identification of linearly varying frequency comprising iterative filtering of measured sinusoidal signal (with the use of linear first order stable components), which in turn gives the possibility to obtain a simple linear regression model with one unknown constant parameter. We present computer simulation results, illustrating the performance of the proposed identification algorithm. Computer modeling was performed both in the presence and absence of the measurement noise. Also, comparative analysis of the proposed approach with the previously obtained methods was carried out within the framework of computer simulation. It was shown that the presented solution provides a significant improvement in the accuracy of an unknown frequency identification in the noise presence.; Рассмотрена задача идентификации линейно меняющейся частоты синусоидального сигнала, имеющего неизвестные амплитуду и фазу, возникающая, например, при управлении телескопом. Традиционно методы синтеза алгоритмов идентификации линейно меняющейся частоты синусоидального сигнала используют неограниченные функции времени, что вызывает технические проблемы, поскольку в этом случае наличие шумов при измерении может существенно исказить настраиваемый параметр. Предложен подход к идентификации линейно меняющейся частоты, предусматривающий итеративную фильтрацию (с использованием линейных устойчивых звеньев первого порядка) измеряемого синусоидального сигнала, которая позволяет получить простую линейную регрессионную модель с одним неизвестным постоянным параметром. Приведены результаты компьютерного моделирования, иллюстрирующие работоспособность представленного алгоритма идентификации. Компьютерное моделирование выполнено как при наличии шумов в измерениях, так и в их отсутствие. Путем компьютерного моделирования проведен сравнительный анализ предлагаемого подхода с полученными ранее методами, и показано, что представленное решение обеспечивает существенное повышение точности идентификации неизвестной частоты при наличии шумов

The paper presents an analytical review of the application of biometric recognition systems in relation to facial image identification technologies. The classification of biometric systems is presented. The trends of technological progress in the field of biometrics and facial recognition capabilities are considered. It is determined that in 2020 there is a trend of transition from the use of biometric recognition technologies in traditional state security systems to the sphere of commercial and user applications. The process of «linking» encryption keys and passwords with the biometric parameters of the data subject is described. It is proposed that a biometric feature and a biometrics parameter mean a certain value that has a physical meaning that characterizes the subject itself. The possibility of using circular neighborhood and bilinear interpolation of pixel intensity values in biometrics is also presented. This will make it possible to build a local binary template. In order to solve the problem of identification of persons, it is advisable to investigate the essence of biometric systems in the technologies of identification of persons, their types, identifying the shortcomings of each of them, on the basis of which to present the directions of elimination and search for the most reliable technologies. The essence of the use of biometric systems in the technologies of identification of persons is, for example, that the user can provide the bank or other counterparty with evidence that it is he who wants to use the services on his accounts. At the same time, the demand has increased for contactless biometric solutions. These technologies are implemented in order to conduct additional biometric verification of users. This allows to minimize possible fraud or violation of the internal rules of the service, for example, the transfer of accounts of some registered users to others.

Testing of electronic devices is an integral part of the technological process of any manufacturer of such equipment. In this case, an electronic device is understood as an energy-intensive unit such as a mobile phone, data center or spacecraft. One of the key stages of testing is to identify the effect of electric fields on various electronic components of the device. This stage often requires making a mock-up of some part of an unfinished device in order to fix interference with special equipment. This requires time, financial and human resource costs. In order to reduce these costs in the modern world, the use of mathematical modeling tools for testing noise immunity and electromagnetic compatibility is becoming popular. In this paper, it is proposed to use an algorithm for visualizing electric fields in three-dimensional space and time. The algorithm is easily embedded into applications as a component of a mathematical modeling system. The work considered three ways of visualizing the electric field strength: starting from a simple setting of points in space, on the basis of which the electric field will be built, around the source of electric field radiation, to the use of algorithms that make it possible to arrange points equidistantly based on a given number of points in space for the formation of an electric field. The performance and visual implications of these methods were analyzed. The proposed methodology will be useful to the developer community as an embedded solution for point visualization of the electric field in any project in any algorithmic language with the ability to animate in time.

This paper is devoted to construction of reference walking trajectories for developing pedestrian navigation algorithms for smartphones. Such trajectories can be used both for verification of classical algorithms of navigation or for application of machine learning technics. Reconstruction of closed trajectories based on data from foot-mounted inertial measurement units (IMU) is investigated. The advantages of the approach are the use of inexpensive sensors and the simplicity of the presented method. We propose algorithms for reconstruction of smooth 2D pedestrian trajectories based on measurements from a single IMU as well as on combined measurements from two IMU’s. Introduced algorithms are based on application of modified Kalman filter with an assumption of IMU having zero velocity when foot contacts the ground. In case of two measurement units, it is additionally assumed that the positions of the sensors cannot differ significantly from each other. The algorithms were tested on trajectories lasting from 1 to 10 minutes, passing indoors on horizontal surfaces. Obtained results were compared with high precision trajectories acquired with GNSS RTK receivers. Additionally, the process of inter-device time synchronization is investigated and detailed description of the experiments and used equipment is given. Introduction. In all types of digital communication, error control coding techniques are used. Many digital communication standards, such as Wi-Fi and 5G, use low density parity check (LDPC) codes. These codes are popular because they provide building encoders and decoders with low computational complexity. This work objective is to increase the error correcting capability of the well-known bit-flipping decoder (BF) of LDPC-codes. For this purpose, a modification of the decoder is built, which enables to dynamically control one of its main parameters whose choice affects significantly the quality of decoding. Materials and Methods. The well-known bit-flipping decoder of binary LDPC-codes is considered. This decoder has several parameters that are not rigidly bound with the code parameters. The dependence of the decoding quality on the selection of the output parameters of the bit-flipping decoder was investigated through simulation modeling. It is shown that the decoding results in this case are significantly affected by the input parameter of the decoder — threshold T. A modification of the BF-decoder of binary LDPC-codes has been developed, in which it is proposed to set the threshold dynamically during the execution of the algorithm depending on the error rate. A comparative analysis of the error- correcting capability of decoders is carried out by the simulation modeling method. Results. A lemma on the maximum value of the decoder threshold T is formulated and proved. Upper bounds for the number of operations are found for the original and modified decoders. A simulation model that implements a digital noise-immune communication channel has been built. In the model, the initial data is encoded with a given LDPC-code, then it is made noisy by additive uniformly distributed errors, and thereafter, it is decoded in turn by the bit-flipping algorithm with different threshold T parameters, as well as by a modified decoder. Based on the input and output data, the correction capacity of the decoders used is estimated. Experiments have shown that the error-correcting capability of the modified decoder in the range of the real error rate is higher than that of the original decoder, regardless of the selection of its parameters. Discussion and Conclusions. The lemma, proved in the paper, sets the upper bound on the threshold value in the original decoder, which simplifies its adjustment. The developed modification of the decoder has a better error- correcting capability compared to the original decoder. Nevertheless, the complexity of the modification is slightly increased compared to the original algorithm. It has been pointed out that the decoding quality of a modified decoder develops with a decrease in the number of cycles in the Tanner graph and an increase in the length of the code.

The subject of the research is key criminal risks in robotics. The purpose of the article is to confirm or disprove the hypothesis that key criminal risks of using robots may be identified and classified. The author dares to describe the key aspects of the application of risk-based approach in the assessment of robotic activities, identify the key risks of using robots, give a criminological classification. The methodology includes a formal logical method, systematic approach, formal legal interpretation of legal acts and academic literature, SWOT analysis. The main results of the study. The author applies the main provisions of criminal riskology when assessing encroachments involving robots. Key risks and challenges when using robots are identified. The severity of the consequences of harm caused by using robots (from minor to critical risk) is assessed and a matrix of the probability of its occurrence is provided. The author's criminological classification of robots is based on the risk-based approach and is substantiated on two grounds. The first one is the category of public danger and the second is the potential severity of the consequences of harm caused by robots. The causal complex that can lead to criminal risks in robotics is identified. The grounds of such risks are divided into those related to the mechanical subsystem of robots, digital subsystem of robots and power supply subsystem of robots. Conclusions. The risk-based approach is the most progressive and effective basis for regulating the criminal relations in robotics. The author demonstrates the existence of real risks to the peace and security of mankind, life and health of people, objects of wildlife, nonliving material objects from the use of robots. It is necessary to recognize robotics as source of increased potential criminal danger and to adopt appropriate regulation as soon as possible. The necessity and expediency of applying a risk-based approach to robotics is theoretically substantiated, and the characteristics of robots that are important in assessing the criminal potential of their exploitation are evaluated. The conclusions and recom mendations of this paper may become a basis for the implementation of the risk-based approach in legal regulation of robotics. The risk matrix presented in the article can be used to establish a framework for regulatory impact on robotics, assess the consequences of potential harm and minimize it.

A computational analysis of the forces and moments that act in the hinges in the process of their opening and folding is carried out. The minimization of the excessive torque value without changing the design and layout of the hinge is possible by changing the shape of the dependence of the spring drive force on the angle of rotation of the hinge. The possibility of using constant force springs as part of the hinge is considered, the existing design algorithms are improved and a program for calculating the geometric and mechanical characteristics of constant force springs is developed. Experimental data were obtained for measuring the forces of springs of various configurations, showing the dependence of the magnitude of the force on the magnitude of the spring deformation and confirming the efficiency of the proposed calculation algorithm. A prototype of a hinge assembly with a constant force spring drive was developed and manufactured. The possibility of minimizing the excess torque without the need to change the design of the hinge while maintaining its technical characteristics was experimentally confirmed.

In this paper, we suggest to use hybrid approach to time series forecasting problem. In first part of paper, we create a literature review of time series forecasting methods based on hybrid neural networks and neuro-fuzzy approaches. Hybrid neural networks especially effective for specific types of applications such as forecasting or classification problem, in contrast to traditional monolithic neural networks. These classes of problems include problems with different characteristics in different modules. The main part of paper create a detailed overview of hybrid networks benefits, its architectures and performance under traditional neural networks. Hybrid neural networks models for time series forecasting are discussed in the paper. Experiments with modular neural networks are given.

Biomechanics of motor actions solves the problems of analysis of external motor events - kinematic and dynamic movement parameters. Inertial measurement devices such as gyroscope and accelerometer are used for biomechanical analysis of human movements. The paper describes an algorithm for analysis of kinematic characteristics of the running based on inertial gyro signals. Running is used to estimate the physical performance, endurance, coordination abilities of a person. Gyroscope signals were registered using the TrignoTM Wireless System. For data analysis in the MATLAB, the software for automated evaluation of electromyographic and biomechanical motion patterns was developed. The algorithm allows one to calculate time, spatial and spatial-to-time parameters of motion, symmetry of movements of the left and right limbs, and also stability of repetition of biomechanical movement pattern. The algorithm includes the following stages: 1) adaptive filtering of signals; 2) identification of movement phases; 3) calculation of spatial and time symmetry of left and right limbs; 4) analysis of the repetition stability of biomechanical movement pattern. The proposed algorithm was used to estimate the motor coordination potential of high-skilled athletes in longdistance running. The research made it possible to estimate individual features of work of each group of muscles for each sportsman while performing a test task with stepwisely increasing load on a running track. This approach is a tool to detect asymmetric work of paired muscle groups and of muscle groups with irrational workability. The proposed algorithm for the analysis of running kinematic characteristics can be used to develop new criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of solving a movement problem, as well as to assess the correctness of the movement technique and identify errors that can lead to injuries.

The paper addresses the problem of assessing the quality of fingerprint images using spatial analysis methods. The author proposes using the previously developed mathematical model to describe the set of magnitudes of the image gradient. The model is based on the two-parameter Weibull distribution. The author proposes two approaches to assess the quality of fingerprints. The first approach is implemented by the so-called “Full reference method”, which compares the Weibull distribution parameters’ values of statistical estimates. The results of identifying sweat pores using this method are presented. The second approach is called the “No-Reference method” and is used to assess fingerprints’ quality when analyzing and identifying the information content of their individual sections. It is proposed to use an image blur map as a quality characteristic and a statistical estimate of the Weibull distribution shape parameter as a measure of the blur. The shape parameter is estimated at each image point by the combination of magnitudes of the image gradient in the vicinity of the point; in this, the previously developed blur mapping technique is applied. The specific examples illustrate effectiveness of the proposed approaches.

The paper shows the approach and the result of taking into account the mutual influence of on-board subsystems of a complex technical object along the DC power supply circuits. Technical objects are understood as a mobile, energy-intensive vehicle, such as an aircraft, a surface or submarine vessel, or a railway locomotive with strong magnetic fields. The aim of the work is to create a simple and intuitive tool for mathematical modeling of the magnetic field vector at an arbitrarily specified observation point. The task is being solved in order to improve the accuracy of magnetic measurements on board, in particular, in navigation problems. On-board DC networks are considered, to which the approach of mathematical modeling is applied. The disadvantages of commercial programs of a similar purpose are noted. The binding of the objects under consideration to the general coordinate system is described. An analytical algorithm for calculating the magnetic field vector from the on-board cable network with a pronounced 3D trajectory is shown. Examples of visualization of the simulation results are given. An algorithm for calculating the induction vector based on the Biot-Savard law is considered. The algorithm for the analytical solution of the problem is described in detail. A specific power cable of the on-board network is considered. The cable is given by a set of straight conductors with current. The ways of future improvement of the created product with the transition from one observation point to the field map in a given three-dimensional zone of arbitrary position, volume and orientation are outlined. The obtained result is considered as an element of the procedure for achieving electromagnetic compatibility of energy-intensive and highly sensitive subsystems of a modern complex technical object.

Introduction. The paper considers problems of creating information support for solving the task of assessing the maturity level of an organization. It is proposed to use intelligent information systems, i.e. expert systems. Substantive aspects of various stages of creating such systems are briefly described; the expert system architecture, which is based on using a fuzzy expert knowledge base, is given. The work objective was to create new software to solve the problem of assessing the maturity level of an organization. Materials and Methods. Previously performed modeling of the subject domain under consideration allowed us to create a knowledge base in the form of production memory, which is the basis of the fuzzy inference mechanism. The software is written in PHP and is suitable for embedding in complex web applications. The software system is a web application written primarily in PHP and JavaScript. The software works in all modern web browsers, which accelerates significantly the implementation and deployment based on both the parent-enterprise and its subsidiaries. Results. New software has been created to automate the processing of questionnaires during the organization’s selfassessment based on key indicators, as well as considering 6 main groups of the quality management system indicators. Application of the program will significantly speed up the process of input and processing of expert information required for self-assessment. The program provides organizations to get an adequate idea of the opportunities and prospects for improving the organization’s quality management system. Some fragments of the software system interface are given. Discussion and Conclusions. The proposed software can be used to determine the level of maturity of an organization. The application of Web-technologies improves usability, reduces software support costs. The software can be both deployed in the existing network infrastructure of a customer and used by all the functionality through connecting to a remote server. The software is optimized for various screen resolutions, which allows you to use it not only at the central office, but also when analyzing the quality management system of corporate customers. The traffic generated by the web application is optimized for working with mobile devices with a low-speed Internet connection. Application of the program will significantly reduce the time for users to enter and process expert information required for the problem solving and to eliminate duplication of information.

Introduction. Improving the quality and operational reliability of welded structures of power equipment is an urgent task of welding production. Its solution is possible on the basis of the development or selection of advanced methods and technologies of electroslag welding (ESW), which eliminate the causes of the formation of tempering cracks (TC) in thick-plate welds. This paper considers a comparative assessment and recommendations on the selection of such advanced ESW methods. The work objectives are to solve the problem of forming a fine-grained, uniform, crack-resistant metal structure of a welded joint with high mechanical characteristics and to reduce the negative impact of the ESW thermal cycle on the base metal. The solution to this problem is possible on the basis of a reasonable choice of methods and technologies for ESW with regulated (controlled) thermal cycle. Materials and Methods. A comparative analysis of advanced methods and technologies of ESW with a controlled thermal cycle is carried out; a comparison of their pros and cons is provided; practical recommendations on the selection of advanced methods for controlling the thermal cycle parameters are offered. Results. It is shown that moderate heat input at high-speed ESW in a narrow gap provides a single pass to form a welded joint with a finer-grained structure and high mechanical properties compared to the in-house technologies of ESW and automatic submerged-arc welding. Recommendations for practical use of the method in welding production are given. Discussion and Conclusions. The results obtained are recommended to be used in the development of ESW technology for thick-sheet welded structures of nuclear and thermal power equipment that enables to abandon postwelding heat treatment (normalization and high tempering).

The research is aimed at profound study of the influence of the "machine" factor (M) in the "human-machineanimal" system ("H-M-A") with the detailed description of the functions performed by "M", taking into account the convey of "M" control and control functions from the subsystems "human-operator" (HO) and "animal" (A). The paper presents the scheme of transformation and expansion of machine functionality in a biotechnical system; mathematical modeling of the dependence of technological signals controlled by the functions of local biotechnological systems (LBTS); mathematical model of diagnostic signals about the corresponding parameters of technical blocks of LBTS. Algorithmization and digitalization of processes on a dairy farm include an extended list of control indicators: technological signals, diagnostic signals and "alarm" signals presented in the article in matrix form. Monitoring the parameters of the most important subsystem "M" of the complex biotechnical system "H-M-A" of a dairy farm provides an increase in the level of automation, digitalization and intellectualization of the corresponding processes of milking, feeding, manure removal and others which creates prerequisites for improving their work and servicing animals as well as increasing the level of autonomy of their functioning. The development of the "machine" factor of the system is advisable on the basis of the machine-centric model of the LBTS, which will gradually expand its functions due to the transferred control and management functions from the corresponding subsystems "HO" and "A". The control parameters are determined at the characteristic reference points of the quarter curves of milk output for the development of refined algorithms for controlling the milking processes of individual udder shares in automated and robotic milking machines of the new generation. A graphical and numerical model of a wheeled feed-pusher robot in the Matlab/Simulink environment is shown. The created mathematical model of motion control by a wheeled feed-pusher robot provides effective interaction of the positioning system and the wheeedl robot drive in digital of autonomous movement.

A method of risk assessment of an aircraft on-board information system is being considered, which allows ensuring reliability and safety of such a complex system in operation. This technique implies application of combined mathematical tools to estimate the risks that complex systems/items are being exposed to. The existing risk assessment methods are not flexible enough to solve the complex task of enhancing comprehensive safety of an aircraft information system (AIS) due to difficulty in unifying the criteria for estimating the degree of hazard in reference to all safety concepts. Currently, risks severity and mechanism for the development of one undesirable event (risk event) into more complex forms during technical operation of an aircraft items/system are not being considered. However, the method proposed in this article intends to become a catalyst for generation of new criteria on a unified basis for estimating safety of such a technical complex system such as AIS, since it contains three-component risk parameters. I.e. the risk for threats from violators (cases of unlawful interference (UI)), vulnerabilities (functional hazards that contribute to UI and its development in a system) and loss (set of criteria that evaluates consequences of UI). As a result, these criteria and parameters of threecomponent safety will allow us to find a new approach to determining the complex risk to which important aircraft systems, such as on-board aircraft information systems, are exposed. This article presents a method for determining risk that takes into account the three-component safety concept. Together, these components will make it possible to evaluate technical systems hazard degree, taking into account their sophistication. The information provided in this paper by the authors is a scientific hypothesis designed to draw attention of the scientific community to the problem of lack of methods for evaluating multicomponent risks in such a system as AIS. The article presents the basic criteria for evaluating a complex three-component risk; they are not sufficient for the full formation of new criteria for evaluating the safety of a complex aircraft system/item and requires clarification of their parameters. Thus, this work is not absolute as a complete solution to the complex problem of enhancing comprehensive safety of AIS, but only offers a methodology for unifying the three safety components to evaluate complex risk.

Current trends in the design of electronic systems is the use of embedded systems based on systems on a chip (System-on-Chip (SoC)) or (VLSI SoC). The paper discusses the design features of electronic systems on a chip using the SystemC design and verification language. For the joint design and simulation of digital systems hardware and software, seven modeling levels are presented and discussed: executable specification, disabled functional model, temporary functional model, transaction-level model, behavioral hardware model, accurate hardware model, register transfer model. The SystemC design methodology with functional verification is presented, which reduces development time.The architecture of the SystemC language and its main components are shown. The expansion of SystemC–AMS for analog and mixed analog-digital signals and its use cases in the design of electronic systems are considered. Computing models are discussed: temporary data stream (TDF), linear signal stream (LSF) and electric linear networks (ELN). The architecture of the SystemC–AMS language standard is shown and examples of its application are given. It is shown that the design languages SystemC and SystemC–AMS are widely used by leading developers of computer-aided design systems for electronic devices.

For any company that sells its products in the networks of city stores, the urgent issue is the optimal delivery of their goods. During routing it is necessary to take into account many restrictions caused by specific conditions of transportation process in the city: number of cargoes, nature of cargoes, delivery time, structure of fleet and its presence, work time of enterprises for load matching, drivers’ working hours, loading capacity, road congestion etc. These days, the process of efficient manual routing is difficult because of many restrictions and delivery points wherein it is almost impossible to take into account the road congestion for specific routes. Today's companies are increasingly interested in outsourcing. One of the options for routes planning for enterprises is to use special software products that allow to plan optimal routes according to the chosen criteria and under specific conditions. The process of formation of routes using the Ant Logistics service, based on the Ant Colony optimization algorithm are analysed in the paper. Comparing the two options of forming routes to serve one of the largest retail chains in Kharkiv with the application of Ant Logistics service, it has been elucidated that the application of Ant Colony algorithm is more optimal than the Clarke-Wright algorithm based on delivery routes indicators.

The control system sensors failures can cause the aircraft stability and controllability deterioration. Such failures fast and reliable inflight detection and localization allows minimization their consequences and prevention of an accident. Direct application of traditional parametric methods for sensors health monitoring with the use of their mathematical models is impossible due to the lack of information about the real inputs on their sensitive elements. This leads to the need for the problem of aircraft flight dynamics modeling with a high level of uncertainties to be solved, which complicates the application of functional test methods and determines the necessity of excessive sensors hardware redundancy. Widely known nonparametric methods either require a prior knowledge base, preliminary training, or long-term tuning on a large real flight data volume, or have low selective sensitivity for the failed sensors reliable localization. This paper expands the application of the well-known nonparametric failure detection criterion, based on the analysis of the linear dependence of the input-output data Hankel matrix columns and solution of the sensor failures localizing problem. Necessary and sufficient solvability conditions are given, the structure and the criterion values are determined in an analytical form before and after the failures occurrence. The proposed method does not require functional or hardware redundancy, prior information about the parameters of mathematical models and their stability, identification, observation, or prediction problems solution. The efficiency of the method is shown on the Boeing 747–100/200 longitudinal model example. Fast tuning, fast response and selective sensitivity of the developed algorithms are noted.

Introduction. A hardware basis of modern Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) consists of millimeterrange radars, characterized by a relatively short range (meters – tens of meters). At the same time, improving of traffic safety requires to increase the range at least to several hundred meters. The one way to achieve such values is to increase wavelength of a probing signal, to use the centimeter range of wavelengths, for example. The paper represents a detailed description of main steps of signal processing algorithm in the model of the ADAS low-power centimeter range radar, which provides fast-moving objects speed and range definition.Aim. Development of an algorithm for estimating the range and the speed of targets by an autocorrelation radar with a wide-band continuous linear frequency modulation (linear FM) signal in order to increase the rate of the ADAS system estimates formation.Materials and methods. The proposed algorithm is based on the methods of primary and secondary digital processing of radar signals. The model of a centimeter-range autocorrelation radar with a broadband continuous linear FM probing signal was used for practical researches. MATLAB software was used to process the received signal samples.Results. The algorithm has been developed to determine the speed and the range of fast-moving objects in conditions when their movement during the evaluation interval significantly exceeds the radar range resolution. The use of simplified Kalman filtering for inter-period secondary signal processing allowed to increase significantly the stability of the algorithm. In a full-scale experiment using the low-power radar model with continuous radiation of the centimeter range, it was shown that a stable assessment of a real car speed and range was provided at a distance of at least about one kilometer.Conclusion. The results of the field experiment make it possible to draw conclusions that the proposed algorithm is highly robust even in the absence of inter-period secondary processing. Its usage allows one to improve the stability of the algorithm without considerable additional computational costs. It is possible because near-linear dynamics of the observation object and of the radar carrier makes it sufficient to use a simplified implementation of Kalman filter in the form α-β-algorithm.
