A chapter of the book "Dreams" is presented. It raises questions concerning dreams, either difficult, obscure, psychological, physiological and metaphysical. It illustrates the creaking of furniture, the crackling of the fire, the rain beating against the window, and the wind playing its chromatic scale in the chimney which are the sounds that come to the ear of the sleeper and which the dream converts, according to circumstances, conversation, singing, cries, music and others.
