Value co‐creation as a research topic has been a critical proposition of interest to a wide range of disciplines. In recent years, the field of cultural heritage has also developed a range of information practices to promote different forms of value co‐creation. While the body of literature has begun to accumulate, we still lack a comprehensive understanding of conceptual foundations and how value co‐creation is implemented in cultural heritage information practices. This paper conducted a hermeneutic literature review to understand and conceptualize the core aspects of value co‐creation in various cultural heritage information works. In particular, this paper provides a research mapping of the genres of co‐creation in cultural heritage information practices, the actors, and the roles played by the stakeholders. Further, this review provides an overview of the dominant value co‐creation models in the cultural heritage field. It distills the drivers of value co‐creation and the core value consequences that arise from a process perspective. Finally, this paper puts forward a thematic, theoretical, and methodological agenda for future work based on these findings. The review contributes to the literature by proposing an integrated conceptual framework that summarizes the core elements of value co‐creation in cultural heritage information practices. Organizations achieve their goals thanks to their employees. Therefore, those who have the strongest effect on the efficiency of the organization are those who work. It is a desired situation for businesses to use their production resources rationally without wasting production resources and to obtain the most output with the least input. By conducting a survey on labor productivity valuation in a paper manufacturing enterprise, 21 questions were answered. The first 4 of these questions aimed to measure the demographic characteristics of the personnel, and the other 17 questions were applied to 126 people to measure the effect of the change in the factory and working conditions on the personnel productivity. The excel program was used in the analysis of the survey, and frequency distribution graphics were used. In addition to the frequency and percentage values of the obtained data, 13 hypotheses were established, and the results of the t-test and one-way analysis of variance (One Way ANOVA) and Pearson chi-square test were also given. As a result, it has been seen that the work of the personnel is not appreciated most of the time, but they are warned in case the work is interrupted or not completed. According to the personnel, success is determined as meeting the production targets. It has been revealed that age does not affect labor productivity, but gender affects labor productivity. The presented scientific paper arises mainly in the context of solving current issues, problems of theory and practice of entrepreneurship. In particular, in the field of dispositional solutions, dimensions of the formation of normative basis of sustainable development in the field of production and logistics. It is an expression and continuation of the previous opinion, thought march, experiential expression of the authors on the issue. It focuses mainly on the current challenges associated with the development management of production and logistics, on the parameters that will need to be respected and, to a greater extent, applied in the future. It is also a response to the fact in the sense that the results of research, predispositions in the field are insufficient. Research Question: In this paper, the processes that characterize the transition process to Society 5.0 are analysed. Motivation: The wide application of Industry 4.0 technologies has positively affected the economic aspects of conducting business. However, issues arise in the social and ecological aspects. Overcoming these challenges is not an easy task for both enterprises and countries as well. Multiple processes across multiple industries take place that pave the way towards a new business and social paradigm - Society 5.0. The main goal was to determine what processes characterize the transition to Society 5.0 and how managing some of these processes can affect the transition. Additionally, the role of managers in Society 5.0 is discussed. This is important, as the number of studies that address this subject in this manner is small. The motivation is to expand the existing body of literature in this domain. Idea: The main idea was to conduct a systematic review of studies regarding Society 5.0 from various aspects. Based on the findings, the role of managers is investigated. In addition, a theoretical model of the transition process is developed. Data: For this review study, 54 papers from credible sources were qualitatively analysed. The papers refer to Society 5.0 in various domains (sustainability, business, environment, ICTs, education, technology, data, Industry 4.0, Industry 5.0 etc.). Tools: The well-established PRISMA protocol was used for the review process. The findings were noted and labelled for easier development of the theoretical model. Findings: The findings and the developed model indicate the imperative role of managers across all industries for organic and sustainable results that come from the transition processes. Managers must embrace change and thrive towards the concept of Society 5.0 when it comes to conducting business. In the Federation of Malaysia, the state government has a dominant role in the management and administration of local authorities as well as in allocating resources. This paper takes a bottom-up perspective to look at the dependence of the Sibu Municipal Council on the Sarawak state government and strongman. It begins by showing how the existing legal and political frameworks enable the formation of a strongman government and then addresses the state government's control over resources for local development. Then, it zooms into the local politics of Sibu, showcasing the patron–client relations between the state strongman and local business groups in Sarawak. However, it argues that the power of strongman politicians is not unchecked but constrained by the political framework. The later part of this paper features the political-economic networks of the state strongman in Johor to show that the strongman phenomenon is not particular to Sarawak. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Concepts such as "global work" and "cross-cultural interaction" have been used to refer to a variety of types of encounters, resulting in imprecise theorizing and difficulty drawing implications for practice. Integrating across disparate literatures, we developed a meta-theory for "global work encounters," defined as instances in which individuals associated with different cultural, national, or geopolitical institutional contexts interact for the purpose of completing organizationally sanctioned tasks. Our meta-theory incorporates theoretical perspectives from the domains of diversity, cross-cultural psychology, and international management, each of which focuses on different global work encounters and the processes and spaces they create: "cosmopolitan spaces," characterized by status entrenchment resulting from maintenance processes; "hybrid spaces," characterized by amalgamation resulting from adaptation processes; and "optimally distinctive spaces," characterized by both uniqueness and commonality resulting from adjustment processes. Our theoretical framework identifies the initial conditions—consequences at the individual level on identity, interpersonal level on mutuality, and task level on synthesized knowledge—that give rise to these three types of spaces and the processes that prompt evolution from one space to another. Nature loss threatens businesses, the global economy and financial stability. Understanding and addressing these risks for business will require credible measurement approaches and data. This paper explores how natural capital accounting (NCA) can support business data and information needs related to nature, including disclosures aligned with the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures recommendations. As businesses seek to measure, manage and disclose their nature-related risks and opportunities, they will need well-organized, consistent and high-quality information regarding their dependencies and impacts on nature, which few businesses currently collect or track in-house. NCA may be useful for these purposes but has not been widely used or applied by businesses. National NCA guided by the U.N. System of Environmental-Economic Accounting may provide: (i) a useful framework for businesses in conceptualizing, organizing and managing nature-related data and statistics; and (ii) data and information that can directly support business disclosures, corporate NCA and other business applications. This paper explores these opportunities as well as synergies between national and corporate natural capital accounts. In addition, the paper discusses key barriers to advancing the wider use and benefits of NCA for business, including: awareness of NCA, data access, business capabilities related to NCA, spatial and temporal scales of data, audit and assurance considerations, potential risks, and costs and incentives. Digital health technologies (DHTs) at the intersection of health, medical informatics, and business aim to enhance patient care through personalised digital approaches. Ensuring the efficacy and reliability of these innovations demands rigorous clinical validation. A PubMed literature review (January 2006 to July 2023) identified 1250 papers, highlighting growing academic interest. A focused narrative review (January 2018 to July 2023) delved into challenges, highlighting issues such as diverse regulatory landscapes, adoption issues in complex healthcare systems, and a plethora of evaluation frameworks lacking pragmatic guidance. Existing frameworks often omit crucial criteria, neglect empirical evidence, and clinical effectiveness is rarely included as a criterion for DHT quality. The paper underscores the urgency of addressing challenges in accreditation, adoption, business models, and integration to safeguard the quality, efficacy, and safety of DHTs. A pivotal illustration of collaborative efforts to address these challenges is exemplified by the Digital Health Validation Center, dedicated to generating clinical evidence of innovative healthcare technologies and facilitating seamless technology transfer. In conclusion, it is necessary to harmonise evaluation approaches and frameworks, improve regulatory clarity, and commit to collaboration to integrate rigorous clinical validation and empirical evidence throughout the DHT life cycle. Purpose: This study aims to investigate how sustainability and ethics are being addressed both by the literature and companies. Furthermore, it seeks to identify the specific strategies that these companies use to foster ethical behaviour and promote sustainability in their business operations. Design/methodology/approach: The study entails a bibliometric analysis and a set of case studies from a sample of companies working in different industry sectors. Based on these tools, it analyses whether – and how – enterprises are placing an emphasis on sustainability and ethics as part of their businesses. In addition, the selected companies' unethical practices or socially irresponsible corporate activities were investigated and presented. Findings: The findings suggest that using an ethics perspective can be a valuable tool in improving the accuracy and correctness of business decision-making. In addition, the paper has identified the fact that sustainability standards can be used to improve customer satisfaction as many important issues are addressed. Finally, the paper highlights the importance of ethical considerations when designing and implementing sustainability standards at enterprises and the need for regulatory guidance in this regard. Originality/value: The paper addresses the need for studies on how sustainability and ethics are being discussed by both the literature and companies. The marketisation of European home care has given rise to significant private for-profit providers growth. However, little research has focused directly on commercial companies to examine the mechanisms through which they emerge, grow and shape long-term care policy – this is this paper's task. Drawing on the literature on business power, the recent concept of "institutional business power" is introduced, defined as the power flowing from the entrenched position of business actors in the provision of public social services. The paper identifies the mechanisms through which private providers have grown and assesses the extent of their institutional power by examining their influence on policy and the support they obtain from relevant home care stakeholders. The limits of providers' institutional power are also discussed. The paper relies on semi-structured interviews with representatives of public, private and non-profit home care providers. The global economy and its current state require major changes. The accelerated pace of economic growth and global industrialization has led to the fact that today just the national economy which encourages long-term innovations can be competitive. Innovations, in turn, are the basis of sustainable businesses. An opportunity for modern and sustainable business is eco-innovation. Eco-innovation is a circular economy promoter, it is a relatively new term, but with major importance and impact. The eco-innovation process improves the country's knowledge and skills, at the same time enhancing the productive capacity and competitiveness of the economy. It reduces costs, helps attract new growth opportunities, and strengthens the company's image with customers. The circular economy aims to create sustainable businesses and develop strong and sustainable economies. This paper aims to analyse the theoretical concepts and the legislative norms, but also the concrete actions to establish premises for sustainable business development. Furthermore, the study aims to identify the operating conditions of the circular economy and eco-innovation for the efficient development of sustainable industries based on innovations. When carrying out the research, several methods were used to make a comparative analysis of the normative acts regarding the policies developed and implemented by the states, related to the stimulation and implementation of innovations. Through observation and statistical data analysis, the indicators used to measure the efficiency of achieving some sustainable development objectives were analysed. The results of this study can serve as a theoretical and practical basis for larger studies developed at the national and international levels. It should be noted that eco-innovation is any innovation that leads to significant progress towards the objective of sustainable development, by reducing the impact of production methods on the environment, increasing nature's resistance to environmental pressures, or achieving more efficient and responsible use of natural resources. This paper proposes a distinctive strategic model (Strategic Confrontational and Collaborative Interaction Model [SCCIM]) for nonprofit organizations acting within the business ecosystem. The SCCIM maps both confrontational and collaborative strategies and tactics, thus accommodating the extensive range of nonprofit interaction alternatives toward business. Whereas confrontational and collaborative methods are well researched in the nonprofit-political realm, a comprehensive overview of these nonprofit strategies in the economic sphere is currently lacking. This research builds on both the business management and social movement literature, extending existing approaches via case analysis with a nonprofit-centric perspective, leveraging stakeholder theory. The resulting encompassing model provides a theoretical framework that may generate alternative insights for further academic research in nonprofit–business interaction. The examination of decision-making styles (DMS) is crucial for understanding how individuals approach choices and form preferences. Two influential frameworks in the DMS discourse, proposed by Scott & Bruce, and Rowe, provide insightful lenses for correlating dominant styles with an array of personal characteristics. This comprehensive study delves into questionnaire results obtained in 2020 and 2022, employing methodologies aligned with Scott & Bruce, and Rowe. The survey targeted cohorts of business and military students, capturing nuanced aspects of decision-making. Introducing innovative concepts, namely submissive DMS and intensity of influence, expanded the analytical framework and facilitated a deeper understanding of decision-making dynamics. The analysis revealed substantial variations in decision-making styles within student populations, elucidating correlations with distinct personal characteristics. The incorporation of the intensity of dominance concept allowed for nuanced interpretations, particularly during the challenging COVID-19 period and the subsequent return to normalcy. The integration of proposed concepts represents a significant enrichment for future research in the field of DMS. This study underscores the critical role of evolving methodologies in elucidating the intricacies of decision-making processes. This paper reviews literary sources by highlighting studies that explore various aspects of organizational culture in Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia. We have chosen this approach because these countries were once part of the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia, where similar understandings and value systems regarding organizational operations were long established. The value systems that emerged are undoubtedly a result of the transition processes that these countries underwent, shifting from socialist economic systems to market economies. In all the states that belonged to the unique area of the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia, a nearly identical understanding and long period of time established the same or similar business systems. After the collapse of the country and the formation of independent states, each country went through the same path of transition and found itself in an objectively difficult position. The transition manifested itself through economic transformation, primarily the affirmation of private property, followed by frequent minor economic changes, changes in regulations, political turmoil, crises, and disasters. Therefore, all of these factors had to impact the formation of attitudes, values and norms in the way employees think and behave. The formation of organizational cultures in their companies retained certain specificities that are the result of their national cultures. Research into organizational culture literature reveals that many authors approach the study of this phenomenon by focusing on its impact on organizational performance. The increased importance of theoretical research into organizational culture in different contexts, as demonstrated in this work, stems from the need to consider the management strategy structure within enterprises. Organizational culture influences nearly all aspects of business operations. It affects, to varying extents, key elements such as business strategy, organizational structure, performance style, and company change. It shapes the entire organizational framework, making it a critical factor in business success. The success of many companies has reinforced the belief that a strong organizational culture is crucial for achieving business success. According to this perspective, a strong organizational culture, characterized by a cohesive set of values, beliefs, and behavior patterns, leads to higher productivity and better goal achievement. Purpose: The purpose of this article is to examine the feasibility of broadly implementing teal management within businesses. Through a critical review of existing literature, the authors express skepticism towards the widespread adoption of this management style in typical business settings. However, the article also delves into an engaging case study, highlighting a specific social organization where the application of teal management demonstrates more promising outcomes. The research findings indicate that teal management may be more effectively employed in social organizations, where its principles align more closely with organizational needs and culture. Ultimately, the article aims to present these research results and the derived conclusions, offering a nuanced perspective on the applicability of teal management across different types of organizations. Findings: In the course of this work, it was found that the principles of teal management can be fully implemented in practice, especially within social organizations such as foundations and associations. This is because these organizations are driven by the passion and commitment of their members, aligning well with the core principles of teal management. Conversely, the application of teal management in business enterprises is more limited due to inherent conflicts over resources, power, and remuneration, which are not in alignment with the teal organization's ideals. Although some aspects of teal management are gradually being adopted in business settings, the full implementation remains challenging at the current level of human consciousness and organizational development. Originality/Value: This paper provides new insights into the practical application of teal management principles, particularly within social organizations. It highlights the unique alignment between the goals of social organizations and the ideals of teal management, offering a nuanced understanding of why these principles may be less applicable in business settings. The focus of this paper is the relationship between sustainable energy sources and financial development. The main research hypothesis assumes a positive link between these areas, with inevitable differences across countries and business sectors. The following research questions were asked: Is the impact of financial development on sustainable energy resources the same in different EU countries advanced in green transition processes? How is transition towards renewable energy sources progressing in different economic sectors? Does financial development influence sectoral transition in particular countries? This study uses the TOPSIS method and 25 variables for EU countries from 2013 to 2021. Key findings reveal that the link between sustainable energy sources and financial development varies across EU countries, country size affects energy autonomy, and the transition also differs by business sector. Surprisingly, higher financial development correlates with less progress in sustainable energy initiatives. The results of our research may be useful for government decision-makers in the process of designing and controlling the country's transition to sustainable energy. The original contribution of the study is expressed in its the diagnosis of the relationship between financial development and sustainable energy sources, while most studies have focused on the relationship between the energy market and financial development. Inventive property rights (IPR) issues became very important after the announcement of the metaverse. As in the metaverse, the traditional laws of IPR are applicable, and research on new laws that are dedicated to the metaverse has started. In this research paper, we analyze development in this area. We use the Scopus database to examine how metaverse entrepreneurship and IPR rights have evolved over time. We used different parameters such as collaboration index, citation analysis, and keyword co-occurrences to measure the growth in the respective area. This study's results support the idea that studies examining this issue have been mushrooming in recent years. Research and experimental development (R&D) is an important driver of economic growth and productivity. Gross expenditure on domestic R&D (GERD) is a country's total expenditure on R&D performed by all sectors of the economy. South Africa's GERD as a percentage of its GDP (GERD/GDP) remains below government targets and has stagnated over the past decade, largely due to declining business sector R&D. This paper aims to identify the drivers of firm-level R&D intensity, defined as the firm's R&D expenditure as a percentage of turnover. It is the first South African study to examine both micro- and macro-economic drivers of firm R&D, with a paucity of literature on this topic for middle-income countries. Using the South African National R&D Survey data, the study utilized the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) model and found that public financial support for firms, smaller firm-size, firm-level collaboration, political stability, foreign direct investment, and public R&D investment are positively associated with firm R&D intensity. The results highlight the importance of public financial support for smaller firms and investments in higher education and research institutions in promoting firm-level R&D, thereby providing useful policy insights for boosting business sector and economy-wide R&D expenditure and reaching national GERD/GDP targets. Business resilience has received much attention in this decade because it is an essential and effective means of overcoming various shocks, thereby increasing business desirability. However, it always experiences adjustments from time to time, because environmental changes are bound to occur. For this reason, resilience-forming features continue to develop over time. The main purpose of this paper is to present a map of the evolution of academic work and critical trends, as well as a snapshot of future research on business resilience. This study uses a bibliometric approach to process a total of 722 articles published between 1990 and early 2023 and indexed by SCOPUS. The results show increasing interest in business resilience research from year to year and 2022 it shown to have the highest number of published business resilience articles. The United States is the country that produces the most extensive business resilience research in the world. The authorship result also shows the influential authors within the field. Furthermore, based on the co-word analysis of the research results, the formation of five clusters goes towards describing the latest topics in business resilience research. Based on these five clusters, research trends are proposed to guide potential areas for further research related to research domains that are important to study, extreme situations that affect business, dynamic capabilities that must be possessed and various types of capital that companies must have in dealing with the various conditions. Business actors create and operate in global production networks that bring them in contact with regulatory frameworks across multiple levels and domains. Importantly, they also participate in shaping those regulatory frameworks. But what are the specific interests they pursue in their involvement in regulation? Traditionally, scholars tended to assume that the focus of business actors is primarily on avoiding (stringent) public regulation. Recent developments have highlighted a broader range of business interests, however. Accordingly, this paper investigates business positions on the ascription of duties and rights in regulation, specifically in the fields of due diligence, supply chain liability, and extraterritorial jurisdiction. Clear legal content of white papers provides certainty, stability and trust in the relations between all the participants in initial coins offering (ICO) procedures and contributes to the successful introduction of blockchain technologies in business. A white paper defines the relationship and interaction between a regulated social reality and program code, which is by itself not susceptible to legal regulation. This article investigates the legal conditions of the white papers that describe the projects of ICO. The author provides a legal analysis of numerous white papers published during ICO implementation around the world. Based on extensive data on implemented ICO projects, the correlation between the legal content of a white paper and the amount of funds collected as a result of the ICO is considered. The advent of the computer age saw industries across the world hopping on the Information and Communications Technology train in a bid to survive. The financial industry is no exception, having since incorporated Information and Communications Technology in its operations. Traditional financial institutions like banks now utilize technology to render financial services to their customers. Aside the traditional banks, a new class of banks called digital banks has emerged in recent times in Nigeria, examples include Kuda, Aladdin, and VBank. These banks operate without a physical banking hall and render their services digitally. Although digital banks were not originally included in Nigerian laws, these banks now have the backing of the principal legislation regulating banks in Nigeria: the Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act 2020, hence solidifying their place in the Nigerian financial sector. With the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of the extant legal framework for digital banks in Nigeria, this paper explored the evolution of banking in Nigeria, the emergence of digital banks, the pros and cons of such banks as well as the existing legal framework for digital banks in Nigeria. The research methodology adopted is the doctrinal research methodology and primary sources like statutes, guidelines and case laws as well as secondary sources like textbooks and journals were utilized. The paper found that the existing legal framework for digital banks in Nigeria is fragmented and does not sufficiently address the uniqueness of these banks. Employment subsidies are important active labour market policy (ALMP) tools, suited to a variety of labour market challenges. This paper engages with recent ALMP categorisation debates by appraising Cronert's (2019) recent typology of employment subsidies. It uses empirical material to assess the typology's explanatory power and produce insights to inform further typological development. The illustrative case of the British ' Wage Incentive' (2012-2014) is used to assess the typology's analytical purchase. Cronert's typology helpfully identifies key distinctions in the distributional profiles of employment subsidies, but further understanding of the category is impeded by the practice of defining them as demand-side interventions. The paper argues for a reappraisal of their supply-side characteristics, maintaining that the (potential) worker should be included in the analysis, and that employment subsidies' relationship with training and job creation should be acknowledged. It proposes a redefinition of employment subsidies reflecting their real-world use, and suggests a framework for further exploring varieties of employment subsidy design from the perspective of beneficiaries. This paper explores a theoretical and empirical discussion of the ability of business form a particular sector to transition towards sustainability. The paper contextualises the discussion within the theoretical framework of a 'Risk Society' as outlined by Ulrich Beck. In particular, the paper highlights the relationship between sustainable development, and what Beck describes as the emergence of an emancipatory catastrophism. This theoretical framework is then applied to a novel approach for exploring sustainability through the process of branding ultimately highlighting an industry's receptiveness to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Uniquely, this paper challenges and expands on the narrative of branding as a discursive process that moves beyond a narrow marketing framework. Using a mixed methods approach of in‐depth observation, interviews and surveys, the paper focuses on a case study of the largest lifestyle retailer in the surf skate and snow sector. The empirical research is applied both within the case study company itself and over 300 brands in the surf skate and snow sector. Results point to a receptiveness to embedding the sustainable development goals in business models whilst highlighting the challenges that exist from both a business operation and resourcing perspective through to external factors. Furthermore, results highlight the disparity between internal business processes and the process branding. The application of digital technology in brand management is a focus of interest for research on the scientific public because communication and information technology in competitive economies generate the need to create a new paradigm of global branding that enables the availability and sharing of information in the business community for the exchange of business practices in function on the improvement of the processes with target competitive positioning of the brand. In business, the branding industry is also expanding because it realizes the importance of innovative creation and positioning of brands to improve profitability. Digital branding became dominant with the frequent use of the Internet and social media. The analysis of statistics researching this industry globally predicts that by the end of 2024, over 75% of businesses will increase investments in creating digital branding strategies. This paper researches the relationship between information and communication technology and branding, ie the level of application of digital technology and investment in branding and the impact on competitiveness. Relevant data for the period from 2023 to 2024 were used for the analysis. Creators of UX undergraduate curricula face tough decisions regarding how to prepare students for the job market. This paper argues for the importance of a cultural lens when teaching professional development to undergraduate design students. A cultural lens is important because it gives context to how hard and soft skills might be applied within a local business culture with social mores and complicated hierarchies of power. This argument is based on exploratory qualitative research in the form of an initial survey (n = 44), subsequent interviews (n = 12), and a follow-up survey (n = 26) with students taking a professional development class in an undergraduate UX design degree at a large, public university in the United States. To show the value of a cultural lens when teaching professional development, first, culture and skills are defined. Second, UX design is defined as it relates to this specific educational context. Third, the context, administration, and methodology of the research is explained. Fourth, research results are analyzed. Fifth, lessons learned from applying a cultural lens are discussed. Background: This systematic review contributes to the understanding of the characteristics of built food environments that may be associated with choices of alternative protein foods (APF). Using the built food environment typology proposed by Downs et al., we investigated various environmental structures (e.g., supermarkets, other retailers, farmers' markets, restaurants, schools, and online vendors) and the characteristics that may facilitate or hinder consumers' choices. For example, facilitators and barriers may refer to the physical characteristics of environmental structures, food presentation practices, the organizational strategies or policies operating in the setting, or the actions that retailers or consumers engage in while selling, serving, choosing, trying, or purchasing APF in these environmental structures. Methods: A systematic review (PROSPERO database preregistration; no. CRD42023388700) was conducted by searching 13 databases for peer-reviewed journals focusing on the fields of economics and business, agriculture, medical sciences, and social sciences. Data searches, coding, and quality evaluations were conducted by at least 2 researchers. A total of 31 papers (36 original studies) were included. The risk of bias was evaluated with the Joanna Briggs Institute quality evaluation tool, with 24 publications presenting low risk of bias. Results: The findings indicate that perceived and actual availability facilitate consumers' APF choices across a built food environment. Several barriers/facilitators were associated with APF choices in specific types of built food environments: the way food is presented in produce sections (supermarkets), consumer habits in terms of green and specialty shopping (grocery stores), and mismatches among retailer actions in regard to making APF available in one type of food environment structure (e-commerce) and consumers' preferences for APF being available in other food environment structures (supermarkets, grocery stores). The effect of a barrier/facilitator may depend on the APF type; for example, social norms regarding masculinity were a barrier affecting plant-based APF choices in restaurants, but these norms were not a barrier affecting the choice of insect-based APF in restaurants. Conclusions: Addressing barriers/facilitators identified in this review will help in developing environment-matching interventions that aim to make alternative proteins mainstream. The study extracts and analyses bibliographic data, including publication trends, citation patterns, and co-authorship networks, using cutting-edge tools like CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and Biblioshiny. The findings of this study provide important information regarding how predictive analytics are now being employed in the business sector. The most significant research findings, innovative breakthroughs, and major research clusters are highlighted, exposing the leading research paths and areas of interest. Additionally, emerging trends, cross-disciplinary collaborations, and potential research needs are identified in the study. The intellectual landscape of predictive analytics in business is mapped in this study to offer a comprehensive picture of the corpus of knowledge. This information will help scholars, practitioners, and policymakers navigate and contribute to this fast-developing area. Background: Degree apprenticeships (DA) help employees gain new knowledge and skills by allowing them to study towards a university degree while working full time. For these programmes to be effective, the learning design should be adapted to the needs of these students, who are goal oriented (i.e. they want to gain only knowledge that can be applied within their workplace), have limited time for studying, and usually have not attended formal education for some time. As these programmes are relatively new, there is limited research on how these students can be supported to achieve the programmes' learning goals by using information and communication technologies. Objectives: This paper aims to understand whether a learning design that combines game‐based learning with online flipped classrooms can engage DA students in their learning and help them develop their reflective skills. Methods: Two focus groups were conducted with DA students that study at a UK Business School towards gaining the Chartered Manager status. The focus groups recordings have been analysed using reflexive thematic analysis. Results and Conclusions: The three main themes, "change can be helpful and challenging at the same time", "the ideal game", and "the effect of others", show that DA students find game‐based learning and online flipped classrooms useful, with the right support. Simulation games can be more fulfilling to DA students than quiz games, even if they take more of their out‐of‐class time. In addition, instructors are advised to work more closely with diverse teams to enable students share their work experiences and learn from each other. The implications of study findings for practitioners: Avoid quiz‐like games and select the ones that use real‐life scenarios for degree apprenticeship students to help them link their learning to their practice.Formative feedback should be provided by both the instructor and the game to motivate degree apprenticeship students to spend the additional time to complete the out‐of‐class activities.Students should be reminded frequently of the purpose of any new learning elements (e.g. learning analytics) as they may not have the time to explore them on their own.When forming student teams based on students' workplace is not possible, spend more time in each breakout room to facilitate the online group discussion and help students bring their different working experiences together. Maqasid al-Shari’ah conceptually aims to ensure the well-being of creatures in this world as a means of prosperity in the hereafter. Well-being includes all improvement in creatures’ life including material, spiritual and social justice. In addition, well-being also required basic needs to be met and enhanced by conditions that include supportive personal relationships, community empowerment, financial security, rewarding employment, good health, and a healthy and attractive environment. In reference to earlier studies, some constraints among the selected dimensions and indicators in measuring well-being. The arrangements of the components and indicators do not show hierarchy on which indicator is most crucial towards fulfilling the basic needs of creatures. An attempt is however made in this paper on how Maqasid al-Shari’ah can position itself as the main driver for development aiming at improving measurement of creatures’ well-being with significant impact. In recent years, an interdisciplinary debate on the social and political role of business corporations has evolved. With this special issue, we would like to facilitate a comprehensive discussion of three questions that are especially pertinent in that debate: (1) How is the social and political agency of corporations to be understood? (2) How should the power of corporations be analyzed? (3) Under which conditions would the social and political roles of corporations be legitimate? In this introduction to the special issue, we start with a short outline of the debate. In the next step, we provide an overview of the five contributions. There is growing awareness that the effects of decarbonisation are highly spatial and will impact regions differentially. Old industrial regions are likely to be particularly affected but it is debateable how well equipped they are to engage with transition and for it to be just. Extant literature suggests that this will be highly contingent on the acceptability of this transition amongst old industrial communities, with a call to understand what and who will be impacted. There is, however, a need for more granularity of evidence on how acceptability is formed and how it plays out in practice. Taking the case of Port Talbot in the UK, this paper provides new insights into the interplay between place attachment and a 'just transition' in an old industrial region. This paper finds that there is a strong community understanding of and support for decarbonisation but an equally strong perception of powerlessness to act. There is an enduring sense of place attachment within Port Talbot but the lack of place-based consultation and engagement with the community means that there are no effective development strategies in place. Context and background A global land rush -driven by a variety of factors-is driving transformative change in African rural communities that depend on land for their livelihoods. This increased demand has resulted in the acquisition of large areas of land on the continent. While the pace and scale of land acquisition may be levelling off,1 in many cases, some or all of the land acquired by investors stands idle.2 Land return- in which a private company legally transfers all or part of its land holdings back to a community or government-is an emerging phenomenon that may be on the rise as companies seek to limit their exposure to risk, governments redesignate lands and communities push for the return of their land. Land return holds promise as a way to correct for overzealous and misguided land acquisition and historical injustices amidst a growing understanding of the value of land to communities. Goal and Objective Yet land return presents challenges, many of which may be unexpected. Though existing frameworks and guidelines regarding responsible investments require effective community consultation, there is less clarity and limited guidance on what risks, mitigation strategies, and tools are needed to safeguard the rights of communities in the context of land return. Methodology This paper brings forward experience from a recent land return process in Tanzania in which Landesa and its partners worked to identify and put into practice standards and approaches that protect community rights while supporting a company's efforts to comply with best practices, national and international requirements and expectations for responsible corporate practice. The tools and processes tested and shared through this project align with efforts to support implementation of the Acceleration of the African Continental Free Trade Areas (AfCFTA) and achieve the aspiration of the Africa We Want (Agenda 2063). Results: This paper highlights the importance of inclusive and transparent land governance practices by presenting a case study of Landesa's experience working with a forestry company to engage with communities and local land administration to understand needs and expectations around the companys intention to return approximately 14,000 hectares of land. The case study will highlight land return-related risks, present a model for community benefit sharing arrangements, and will share lessons learned, highlighting potential best practices that companies holding idle land might consider and employ to reallocate to landscarce communities. In recent years, the globe has faced a series of topics of growing concern, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the international financial crisis, rising socio-economic inequalities, the negative outcomes of greenhouse gas emissions, which resulted in climate change, and many others. Organizations worldwide have confronted these new challenges of sustainable finance by incorporating environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) factors and digital transformation (DT) in their innovation business strategies. The healthcare sector represents a large share of the global economy (about 10% of global economic output), employs a large number of workers, and needs to rely more on an open innovation model where interested parties, especially patients, are going to have a say in their own well-being. Thus, it is imperative that healthcare providers be efficient, effective, resilient, and sustainable in the face of significant challenges and risks. At the same time, they must offer sustainable development goals and digital transformation to healthcare users through limited governmental resources. This study investigates the role, importance, and correlation of ESG factors and digital transformation to the sustainable finance of healthcare systems through an innovative model. The main purpose of the paper is to present the already implemented ESG and DT factors in the healthcare sector and to propose a mutual and combined implementation strategy based on common evaluation tools, methods, and actions. Thucydides asserts that the occupation of Decelea by the Spartans in 413 BC made the grain supply for Athens costly by forcing the transport from land onto the sea. This calls into question the well-established consensus that sea transport was far cheaper than land transport. This paper contends that the cost of protecting supply lines – specifically the expenses associated with the warships which escorted the supply ships – rendered the grain transported on the new route exceptionally costly. In this paper, the benefits and drawbacks of a maritime economy, including transaction costs, trade dependencies, and the capabilities of warships and supply ships are discussed.
