The level of difficulty of mathematical test items is a critical aspect for evaluating test quality and educational outcomes. Accurately predicting item difficulty during test creation is thus significantly important for producing effective test papers. This study used more than ten years of content and score data from China's Henan Provincial College Entrance Examination in Mathematics as an evaluation criterion for test difficulty, and all data were obtained from the Henan Provincial Department of Education. Based on the framework established by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) for test item assessment methodology, this paper proposes a new framework containing eight features considering the uniqueness of mathematics. Next, this paper proposes an XGBoost-based SHAP model for analyzing the difficulty of mathematics tests. By coupling the XGBoost method with the SHAP method, the model not only evaluates the difficulty of mathematics tests but also analyzes the contribution of specific features to item difficulty, thereby increasing transparency and mitigating the "black box" nature of machine learning models. The model has a high prediction accuracy of 0.99 for the training set and 0.806 for the test set. With the model, we found that parameter-level features and reasoning-level features are significant factors influencing the difficulty of subjective items in the exam. In addition, we divided senior secondary mathematics knowledge into nine units based on Chinese curriculum standards and found significant differences in the distribution of the eight features across these different knowledge units, which can help teachers place different emphasis on different units during the teaching process. In summary, our proposed approach significantly improves the accuracy of item difficulty prediction, which is crucial for intelligent educational applications such as knowledge tracking, automatic test item generation, and intelligent paper generation. Under the influence of the coronavirus disease and other factors, agricultural product prices show non-stationary and non-linear characteristics, making it increasingly difficult to forecast accurately. This paper proposes an innovative combinatorial model for Chinese hog price forecasting. First, the price is decomposed using the Seasonal and Trend decomposition using the Loess (STL) model. Next, the decomposed data are trained with the Long Short-term Memory (LSTM) and Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA) models. Finally, the prepared data and the multivariate influence factors after Factor analysis are predicted using the gated recurrent neural network and attention mechanisms (AttGRU) to obtain the final prediction values. Compared with other models, the STL-FA-AttGRU model produced the lowest errors and achieved more accurate forecasts of hog prices. Rank aggregation combines the preference rankings of multiple alternatives from different voters into a single consensus ranking, providing a useful model for a variety of practical applications but posing a computationally challenging problem. In this paper, we provide an effective hybrid evolutionary ranking algorithm to solve the rank aggregation problem with both complete and partial rankings. The algorithm features a semantic crossover based on concordant pairs and an enhanced late acceptance local search method reinforced by a relaxed acceptance and replacement strategy and a fast incremental evaluation mechanism. Experiments are conducted to assess the algorithm, indicating a highly competitive performance on both synthetic and real-world benchmark instances compared with state-of-the-art algorithms. To demonstrate its practical usefulness, the algorithm is applied to label ranking, a well-established machine learning task. Background: Bibliometric analysis is a mature method for quantitative evaluation of academic productivity. In view of the rapid development of research in the field of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in the past decade, we used bibliometric methods to comprehensively analyze the literature in the field of SLE from 2013 to 2022. Methods: The relevant literature in the field of SLE from 2013 to 2022 was screened in the Web of Science Core Collection database. After obtaining and sorting out the data, CiteSpace and VOSviewer software were used to visualize the relevant data, and SPSS software was used for scientific statistics. Results: A total of 18,450 publications were included in this study. The number of articles published over the past 10 years has generally shown an upward trend, while Altmetric attention scores have also shown a clear upward trend in general and in most countries. Citation analysis and Altmetric analysis can mutually prove and supplement the influence of papers. The USA, China, Japan, Italy, and the UK are the most productive countries, but China and Japan are significantly inferior to other countries in terms of research influence. Four of the top ten authors are at the center of the collaboration network. LUPUS is the most contributing journal. The theme of systemic lupus erythematosus research mainly focuses on the pathogenesis, treatment, and management of SLE, and the emerging trend is related research on machine learning and immune cells. Conclusion: This study shows the research status of SLE, clarifies the main contributors in this field, discusses and analyzes the research hotspots and trends in this field, and provides reference for further research in this field to promote the development of SLE research. Microseismic data are widely employed for assessing rockburst risks; however, significant disparities exist in the monitoring capabilities of seismic networks across different mines, and none can capture a complete dataset of microseismic events. Such differences introduce unfairness when applying the same methodologies to evaluate rockburst risks in various mines. This paper proposes a method for assessing the monitoring capability of seismic networks applicable to heterogeneous media in mines. It achieves this by integrating three gradient boosting algorithms: Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM), and Categorical Boosting (CatBoost). Initially, the isolation forest algorithm is utilized for preliminary data cleansing, and feature engineering is constructed based on the relative locations of event occurrences to monitoring stations and the working face. Subsequently, the optimal hyperparameters for three models are searched for using 8508 microseismic events from the a Coal Mine in eastern China as samples, and 18 sub-models are trained. Model weights are then determined based on the performance metrics of different algorithms, and an ensemble model is created to predict the monitoring capability of the network. The model demonstrated excellent performance on the training and test sets, achieving log loss, accuracy, and recall scores of 7.13, 0.81, and 0.76 and 6.99, 0.80, and 0.77, respectively. Finally, the method proposed in this study was compared with traditional approaches. The results indicated that, under the same conditions, the proposed method calculated the monitoring capability of the key areas to be 11% lower than that of the traditional methods. Understanding changes of soil organic carbon (SOC) in top layers of croplands and their driving factors is a vital prerequisite in decision-making for maintaining sustainable agriculture. However, high-precision estimation of SOC of croplands at regional scale is still an issue to be solved. Based on soil samples, synthetic image of bare soil and geographical data, this paper predicted SOC density of croplands using Random Forest model in the Black Soil Region of Jilin Province, China in 2005 and 2020, and analyzed its influencing factors. Results showed that random forest model that integrates bare soil composite images improve the accuracy and robustness of SOC density prediction. From 2005 to 2020, the total SOC storage in croplands decreased from 89.96 to 82.79 Tg C with an annual decrease of 0.48 Tg C yr−1. The mean value of SOC density of croplands decreased from 3.42 to 3.32 kg/m2, and high values are distributed in middle parts. Changes of SOC represented significant heterogeneity spatially. 62.14% of croplands with SOC density greater than 4.0 kg/m2 decreased significantly, and 38.60% of croplands with SOC density between 2.5 and 3.0 kg/m2 significantly increased. Climatic factors made great contributions to SOC density, however, their relative importance (RI) to SOC density decreased from 44.65% to 37.26% during the study period. Synthetic images of bare soil constituted 23.54% and 26.29% of RI in the SOC density prediction, respectively, and the contribution of each band was quite different. The RIs of topographic and vegetation factors were low but increased significantly from 2005 to 2020. This study can aid local land managers and governmental agencies in assessing carbon sequestration potential and carbon credits, thus contributing to the protection and sustainable use of black soils. Accurate rainfall measurement with a precise spatial and temporal resolution is essential for making informed decisions during disasters and conducting scientific studies, particularly in regions characterized by intricate terrain and limited coverage of automated weather stations. Retrieval of precipitation with satellite is currently the most effective means to obtain precipitation over large‐scale areas. The key to enhancing the accuracy of precipitation estimation and forecasting in regions with complex terrain lies in effectively integrating satellite data with topographic information. This paper introduces a deep learning approach called AttUnet_R_SFT that utilizes high temporal, spatial, and spectral resolution data obtained from the Fengyun 4A satellite, and incorporates the Deep Spatial Feature Transform (SFT) layer to incorporate geographical data for estimating half‐hourly precipitation in northeastern China. We assess it by compared to operational near‐real‐time satellite precipitation products demonstrated to be successful in estimating precipitation and baseline deep learning models. According to the experimental findings, the AttUnet_R_SFT model outperforms practical precipitation products and baseline deep learning models in both identifying and estimating precipitation. The main enhancement of the model performance is shown in the windward slope of the Greater Khingan Mountains as a result of the successful incorporation of geographical data. Hence, the suggested framework holds the capability to function as a superior and dependable satellite‐derived precipitation estimation solution in regions characterized by intricate terrain and infrequent rainfall. The findings of this study indicate that the utilization of deep learning algorithms for satellite precipitation estimation shows potential as a fruitful avenue for further research. The complexity in stock index futures markets, influenced by the intricate interplay of human behavior, is characterized as nonlinearity and dynamism, contributing to significant uncertainty in long-term price forecasting. While machine learning models have demonstrated their efficacy in stock price forecasting, they rely solely on historical price data, which, given the inherent volatility and dynamic nature of financial markets, are insufficient to address the complexity and uncertainty in long-term forecasting due to the limited connection between historical and forecasting prices. This paper introduces a pioneering approach that integrates financial theory with advanced deep learning methods to enhance predictive accuracy and risk management in China's stock index futures market. The SF-Transformer model, combining spot-forward parity and the Transformer model, is proposed to improve forecasting accuracy across short and long-term horizons. Formulated upon the arbitrage-free futures pricing model, the spot-forward parity model offers variables such as stock index price, risk-free rate, and stock index dividend yield for forecasting. Our insight is that the mutual information generated by these variables has the potential to significantly reduce uncertainty in long-term forecasting. A case study on predicting major stock index futures prices in China demonstrates the superiority of the SF-Transformer model over models based on LSTM, MLP, and the stock index futures arbitrage-free pricing model, covering both short and long-term forecasting up to 28 days. Unlike existing machine learning models, the Transformer processes entire time series concurrently, leveraging its attention mechanism to discern intricate dependencies and capture long-range relationships, thereby offering a holistic understanding of time series data. An enhancement of mutual information is observed after introducing spot-forward parity in the forecasting. The variation of mutual information and ablation study results highlights the significant contributions of spot-forward parity, particularly to the long-term forecasting. Overall, these findings highlight the SF-Transformer model's efficacy in leveraging spot-forward parity for reducing uncertainty and advancing robust and comprehensive approaches in long-term stock index futures price forecasting. Cultural soil heritages (CSHs) are artifacts with historical, artistic, and scientific significance; however, they are vulnerable to various hazards, such as weathering, fractures, hollowing, collapses, and gullies. This is especially true for those CSHs exposed to the outdoors. Due to the large number of CSHs sites within China, managing and protecting these heritages with the aid of detailed on-site investigations is time-consuming and expensive. Consequently, evaluating the spatial distribution and degree of hazards developed in all these heritages becomes impractical. To address this issue, this paper developed a Gaussian process classification (GPC) method to predict the spatial distribution of typical hazards (i.e., weathering, fractures, hollowing, collapses, and gullies) and the development level of each hazard from eight environmental factors (e.g., annual relative humidity and annual sunshine time) and a limited number of investigation data. As the number of investigation data for different levels of each hazard is usually imbalanced and sparse, this study proposed a synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) with GPC to form the SMOTE-GPC method. A real-world example is used to illustrate this approach. Results from real-world data demonstrated that the proposed method achieved an F 1 score, precision, recall, and Cohen's kappa with values greater than 0.93 in both the training and testing datasets, indicating its good performance. Accurate short-term electrical load forecasting is crucial for the stable operation of power systems. Given the nonlinear, periodic, and rapidly changing characteristics of short-term power load forecasts, this paper introduces a novel forecasting method employing an Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) enhanced by an improved Dwarf Mongoose Optimization Algorithm (Local escape Dwarf Mongoose Optimization Algorithm, LDMOA). This method addresses the significant prediction errors of conventional ELM models and enhances prediction accuracy. The enhancements to the Dwarf Mongoose Optimization Algorithm include three key modifications: initially, a dynamic backward learning strategy is integrated at the early stages of the algorithm to augment its global search capabilities. Subsequently, a cosine algorithm is employed to locate new food sources, thereby expanding the search scope and avoiding local optima. Lastly, a "madness factor" is added when identifying new sleeping burrows to further widen the search area and effectively circumvent local optima. Comparative analyses using benchmark functions demonstrate the improved algorithm's superior convergence and stability. In this study, the LDMOA algorithm optimizes the weights and thresholds of the ELM to establish the LDMOA-ELM prediction model. Experimental forecasts utilizing data from China's 2016 "The Electrician Mathematical Contest in Modeling" demonstrate that the LDMOA-ELM model significantly outperforms the original ELM model in terms of prediction error and accuracy. The economic operation of hydropower stations has the potential to increase water use efficiency. However, there are some challenges, such as the fixed and unchangeable flow characteristic curve of the hydraulic turbines, and the large number of variables in optimal load distribution, which limit the progress of research. In this paper, we propose a new optimal method of the economic operation of hydropower stations based on improved Long Short-Term Memory neural network (I-LSTM) and Random Forest (RF) algorithm. Firstly, in order to accurately estimate the water consumption, the LSTM model's hyperparameters are optimized using improved particle swarm optimization, and the I-LSTM method is proposed to fit the flow characteristic curve of the hydraulic turbines. Secondly, the Random Forest machine learning algorithm is introduced to establish a load-distribution model with its powerful feature extraction and learning ability. To improve the accuracy of the load-distribution model, we use the K-means algorithm to cluster the historical data and optimize the parameters of the Random Forest model. A Hydropower Station in China is selected for a case study. It is shown that (1) the I-LSTM method fits the operating characteristics under various working conditions and actual operating characteristics of hydraulic turbines, ensuring that they are closest to the actual operating state; (2) the I-LSTM method is compared with Support Vector Machine (SVM), Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) and Long Short-Term Memory neural network (LSTM). The prediction results of SVM have a large error, but compared with ELM and LSTM, MSE is reduced by about 46% and 38% respectively. MAE is reduced by about 25% and 21%, respectively. RMSE is reduced by about 27% and 24%, respectively; (3) the RF algorithm performs better than the traditional dynamic programming algorithm in load distribution. With the passage of time and the increase in training samples, the prediction accuracy of the Random Forest model has steadily improved, which helps to achieve optimal operation of the units, reducing their average total water consumption by 1.24%. This study provides strong support for the application of intelligent low-consumption optimization strategies in hydropower fields, which can bring higher economic benefits and resource savings to renewable energy production. Software effort estimation is a vital process in the software industry for successfully administering 5Ds of the software development life cycle (SDLC). The 5Ds stand for demand, development, direction, deployment, and designated cost of the software. Software development effort estimation (SDEE) is an effort prediction mechanism to calculate the effort for the development of the software product in order to minimize the challenges in the software field. Academics and practitioners are striving to identify which machine learning estimation technique yields more accurate results based on evaluation metrics, datasets, and other pertinent aspects. The feature selection techniques impact accuracy by selecting the main and relevant features in the dataset and eliminating the redundant and irrelevant features in the dataset. To achieve accurate estimations, the paper utilizes feature selection algorithms, along with various machine learning techniques, which predict the desired effort and the performance of the model has been measured in terms of prediction accuracy, R2 value, relative error, and mean absolute error. The datasets China and Maxwell are trained with the relevant features by applying feature selection algorithms, and estimation techniques are applied to predict the effort. The performance is compared with the regression models and feature selection techniques utilized by many authors previously. The result of the proposed methodology significantly gives the best performance with the combination of feature selection and estimation models than all regression models when applied alone, to both datasets. From the results, it is perceptible that random forest is performing well with the feature selection techniques and obtains the highest prediction accuracy of 99.33% with the China and 89.47% with the Maxwell datasets. Soil temperature directly affects the germination of seeds and the growth of crops. In order to accurately predict soil temperature, this study used RF and MLP to simulate shallow soil temperature, and then the shallow soil temperature with the best simulation effect will be used to predict the deep soil temperature. The models were forced by combinations of environmental factors, including daily air temperature (Tair), water vapor pressure (Pw), net radiation (Rn), and soil moisture (VWC), which were observed in the Hejiashan watershed on the Loess Plateau in China. The results showed that the accuracy of the model for predicting deep soil temperature proposed in this paper is higher than that of directly using environmental factors to predict deep soil temperature. In testing data, the range of MAE was 1.158–1.610 °C, the range of RMSE was 1.449–2.088 °C, the range of R2 was 0.665–0.928, and the range of KGE was 0.708–0.885 at different depths. It is of great significance to accurately grasp ground-level ozone concentration on a wide scale in order to cope with the increasingly serious ground-level ozone pollution problem. Currently, satellite technology can be used to monitor ground-level ozone concentration on a wide scale, but there is the problem of insufficient spatial resolution. The use of ground monitoring stations to detect ground-level ozone concentration can obtain more accurate ozone concentration around the station, but there are problems of limited number of stations and sparse distribution. Therefore, it is still a challenge to accurately grasp the ground-level ozone concentration at a large scale and high spatial resolution. To address this issue, this paper proposes a ground-level ozone concentration inversion algorithm based on deep learning methods, incorporating data from remote sensing satellites, ground monitoring stations, meteorological conditions, geography, and land use. Taking Yunnan Province in China as the experimental region and utilizing five-fold cross-validation, the model's Mean Square Error (MSE) reached 340.45 and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) reached 18.45. Compared to machine learning models, the error decreased by 14.53%, outperforming Random Forest models, Convolution Neural Networks, and Vision Transformers. The COVID-19 outbreak and the implementation of peak and carbon neutral policies have severely impacted oil price volatility and the industrial sector. Exploring the impact mechanisms between oil prices and industries is particularly important for accurate forecasting of crude oil prices. As one of the world's largest commodity consumers, China's crude oil market is more representative and susceptible to external factors than that of developed countries. In this paper, we propose an analytical forecasting framework based on the causal effects between Shanghai crude oil prices and various industries in China to improve the forecasting accuracy of crude oil prices. Information geometric causal inference (IGCI) is applied to detect causal relationships between 31 different industries in China and Shanghai crude oil prices in the three time periods before, during and after COVID-19, and industries with strong causal information effects on crude oil prices in the long run are screened out as additional features. An oil price forecasting model based on Gray Wolf Optimization and Extreme Learning Machine (GWO-ELM) is proposed. Considering the small amount of data for Shanghai crude oil, this paper proposes a cross-learning data approach to solve the problem. Experimental results show that the GWO-ELM model outperforms RF, LSTM, GRU, and migration learning-based Tr-LSTM and Tr-Adaboost models in the task of Shanghai crude oil futures price prediction, and find that industry characteristics with long-term causal effects on oil prices can improve the model prediction accuracy. Our proposed analytical prediction can capture the oil price trend more accurately through the information of the industry and solve the problem of insufficient training data for the model. Based on the data of the Chinese A-share listed firms in China Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchange from 2014 to 2021, this article explores the relationship between common institutional investors and the quality of management earnings forecasts. The study used the multiple linear regression model and empirically found that common institutional investors positively impact the precision of earnings forecasts. This article also uses graph neural networks to predict the precision of earnings forecasts. Our findings have shown that common institutional investors form external supervision over restricting management to release a wide width of earnings forecasts, which helps to improve the risk warning function of earnings forecasts and promote the sustainable development of information disclosure from management in the Chinese capital market. One of the marginal contributions of this paper is that it enriches the literature related to the economic consequences of common institutional shareholding. Then, the neural network method used to predict the quality of management forecasts enhances the research method of institutional investors and the behavior of management earnings forecasts. Nowadays, the international situation is severe and complex, and the structural issues within the Chinese economy are prominent. Consequently, the financial risks faced by Chinese listed companies continue to escalate. Hence, it is of great practical significance to furnish effective early warnings for financial crises in listed companies. In this paper, we first employ web crawler technology and natural language processing technology to assess four text-linguistic features in the Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) section of the annual financial reports of listed companies in China from 2011 to 2020. These features are text tone, forward-looking, readability and similarity. Subsequently, we combine these features with traditional financial indicators and explore thirteen mainstream machine learning models to comparatively analyze their effectiveness in predicting financial crises in listed companies. The empirical findings of this research reveal that MD&A text readability and similarity indicators contribute valuable incremental information to prediction models, whereas text tone and forward-looking indicators exhibit the opposite effect. The latter two indicators can be manipulated more effortlessly by management, as this study's empirical findings indicate no evidence of their contributions in incremental informational value. In fact, the forward-looking indicator even introduces additional noise to the prediction. Finally, by comparing the early warning effects of thirteen machine learning models, it is found that RF, Bagging, CatBoost, GBDT, XGBoost and LightGBM models maintain stable and accurate sample recognition ability. In general, this paper constructs a more effective financial crisis early warning model by exploring the MD&A text-linguistic feature indicators, thereby offering a fresh research perspective for further investigations in this field. With technological transformations such as big data, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing, digital techniques are infiltrating the field of finance. Digital finance (DF) is a resource-saving and environmentally friendly innovative financial service. It shows great green attributes and can drive the flow of financial resources towards environmentally-friendly enterprises, thereby promoting green low-carbon circular development (GLCD). However, few studies have explored the coupling mechanism between DF and GLCD. To fill this gap, this paper explores the effect of DF on GLCD, and established a mediating effect model to investigate the mechanism of DF in promoting GLCD. Additionally, this paper established a random forest model and a CatBoost model based on machine learning to examine the relative importance of DF and the factors affecting GLCD. The results show that DF has significant positive effects on GLCD, and technological innovation plays a key role in the effect of DF on GLCD; meanwhile, the effect of DF on GLCD shows nonlinear features with an increasing "marginal effect"; moreover, both DF and conventional factors have significant impacts on GLCD. Our study highlights the effect of DF on GLCD and underscores the importance of developing policies for DF and GLCD. In recent years, there have been several sports-related injuries and even unexpected fatalities due to the rapid growth of China's sports industry and increasing fitness issues. The prevalence of sports injuries is rapidly rising because of the intense competition among athletes and the increased physical load caused by players' long-term training. The difficulty in the sports' world is the identification and evaluation of risk factors associated with athletes. To address these issues, this paper develops a cognitive evaluation model for risk assessment of injuries in sports using big data to understand and determine the likelihood of injuries. The model is used to prevent the issues faced by running athlete's injury and thereby lowers the risk of overall risk. This paper also analyzes the injury factors while running by establishing an estimation model based on the radial basis function (RBF) neural network and explains how to compare RBF neural networks and risk level evaluation using certain criteria. The estimation model helps to identify and judge the risk factors of athletes. It designs an algorithm for Gaussian distribution, which predicts the output of the model. It discusses how the error may be calculated, which measures the neural network model's overall performance in forecasting sports' injury outcomes using a particular dataset. Finally, it designs the RBF Neural Network Learning algorithm, which generates the leaned network parameters to evaluate the reliability of risk cognitive model for athletes based on big data. The Lagrange and Bayesian models are selected for comparison. The results indicate that this model has a higher evaluation effect and accuracy as compared to other models. For this purpose, the comparison is made using 25 athletes. The proposed model's evaluation time is the lowest in comparison to the existing approaches. After examining the impact of cognitive evaluation, it has been reflected that the proposed model can be utilized to assess the different injury types for different parts of athletes. The prevention and control of communicable diseases such as COVID-19 has been a worldwide problem, especially in terms of mining towards latent spreading paths. Although some communication models have been proposed from the perspective of spreading mechanism, it remains hard to describe spreading mechanism anytime. Because real-world communication scenarios of disease spreading are always dynamic, which cannot be described by time-invariant model parameters, to remedy such gap, this paper explores the utilization of big data analysis into this area, so as to replace mechanism-driven methods with big data-driven methods. In modern society with high digital level, the increasingly growing amount of data in various fields also provide much convenience for this purpose. Therefore, this paper proposes an intelligent knowledge discovery method for critical spreading paths based on epidemic big data. For the major roadmap, a directional acyclic graph of epidemic spread was constructed with each province and city in mainland China as nodes, all features of the same node are dimension-reduced, and a composite score is evaluated for each city per day by processing the features after principal component analysis. Then, the typical machine learning model named XGBoost carries out processing of feature importance ranking to discriminate latent candidate spreading paths. Finally, the shortest path algorithm is used as the basis to find the critical path of epidemic spreading between two nodes. The mining of open pit mines is widespread in China, and there are many cases of landslide accidents. Therefore, the problem of slope stability is highlighted. The stability of the slope is a factor that directly affects the mining efficiency and the safety of the entire mining process. According to the statistics, there is a 15 percent chance of finding landslide risk in China's large-scale mines. And due to the expansion of the mining scale of the enterprise, the problem of slope stability has become increasingly obvious, which has become a major subject in the study of open-pit mine engineering. In order to better predict the slope stability coefficient, this study takes a mine in China as a case to deeply discuss the accuracy of different algorithms in the stability calculation, and then uses a deep learning algorithm to study the stability under rainfall conditions. The change of the coefficient and the change of the stability coefficient before and after the slope treatment are experimentally studied with the displacement of the monitoring point. The result shows that the safety coefficient calculated by the algorithm in this paper is about 7% lower than that of the traditional algorithm. In the slope stability analysis before treatment, the safety factor calculated by the algorithm in this paper is 1.086, and the algorithm in this paper is closer to reality. In the stability analysis of the slope after treatment, the safety factor calculated by the algorithm in this paper is 1.227, and the stability factor meets the requirements of the specification. Imbalanced classification is widely referred in many real-world applications and has been extensively studied. Most existing algorithms consider alleviating the imbalance by sampling or guiding ensemble learners with punishments. The combination of ensemble learning and sampling strategy at class level has achieved great progress. Actually, specific hard examples have little benefit for model learning and even degrade the performance. From the view of identifying classification difficulty of samples, one important motivation is to design algorithms to finely equip different samples with progressive learning. Unfortunately, how to perfectly configure the sampling and learning strategies under ensemble principles at the sample level remains a research gap. In this paper, we propose a new view from the sample level rather than class level in existing studies. We design an ensemble approach in pipe with sample-level gradient resampling, that is, balanced cascade with filters (BCWF). Before that, as a preliminary exploration, we first design a hard examples mining algorithm to explore the gradient distribution of classification difficulty of samples and identify the hard examples. Specifically, BCWF uses an under-sampling strategy and a boosting manner to train T predictive classifiers and reidentify hard examples. In BCWF, moreover, we design two types of filters: the first is assembled with a hard filter (BCWF_h), whereas the second is assembled with a soft filter (BCWF_s). In each round of boosting, BCWF_h strictly removes a gradient/set of the hardest examples from both classes, whereas BCWF_s removes a larger number of harder and easy examples simultaneously for final balanced-class retention. Consequently, the well-trained T predictive classifiers can be used with two ensemble voting strategies: average probability and majority vote. To evaluate the proposed approach, we conduct intensive experiments on 10 benchmark data sets and apply our algorithms to perform default user detection on a real-world peer to peer lending data set. The experimental results fully demonstrate the effectiveness and the managerial implications of our approach when compared with 11 competitive algorithms. At present, China is facing a relatively serious water security problem, and virtual water trade is an important means to alleviate the shortage of water resources. It is of great practical significance for China to analysis of the multi-scale near-long-distance flow of virtual water between regions. In this paper, the multi-regional input-output model was used to measure the virtual water near-long-range transfer of 17 departments in eight regions in 2012 and 2017 in China. The measured results are further discussed in the context of K-means and structural decomposition analysis (SDA) methods. The results show that from 2012 to 2017, the overall trend of interregional virtual water flow and import and export volume of various regions and departments in China showed a downward trend, and there were significant differences in inflow, outflow, and distribution. In 17 sectors, the agricultural sector has a much higher virtual water flow than other sectors, particularly in the north-west and central regions. In addition, the food and tobacco industry and construction industries in most regions also have the characteristics of high outflows. This paper argues that China should Fully exploit the effect of industrial structure on the suppression of virtual water rise. At the same time, it is necessary to improve the virtual water trade pattern, especially the virtual water trade pattern of the agricultural sector, and then gradually optimize the distribution pattern of regional water resources in China. The accurate estimation of forest aboveground biomass is of great significance for forest management and carbon balance monitoring. Remote sensing instruments have been widely applied in forest parameters inversion with wide coverage and high spatiotemporal resolution. In this paper, the capability of different remote-sensed imagery was investigated, including multispectral images (GaoFen-6, Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8) and various SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) data (GaoFen-3, Sentinel-1, ALOS-2), in aboveground forest biomass estimation. In particular, based on the forest inventory data of Hangzhou in China, the Random Forest (RF), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Convolutional Neural Networks Long Short-Term Memory Networks (CNN-LSTM) algorithms were deployed to construct the forest biomass estimation models, respectively. The estimate accuracies were evaluated under the different configurations of images and methods. The results show that for the SAR data, ALOS-2 has a higher biomass estimation accuracy than the GaoFen-3 and Sentinel-1. Moreover, the GaoFen-6 data is slightly worse than Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8 optical data in biomass estimation. In contrast with the single source, integrating multisource data can effectively enhance accuracy, with improvements ranging from 5% to 10%. The CNN-LSTM generally performs better than CNN and RF, regardless of the data used. The combination of CNN-LSTM and multisource data provided the best results in this case and can achieve the maximum R2 value of up to 0.74. It was found that the majority of the biomass values in the study area in 2018 ranged from 60 to 90 Mg/ha, with an average value of 64.20 Mg/ha. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper examines the influence of environmental factors and geography on economic development across China's regions. It focuses on SME coupling and coordination, contributing to regional economic progress through performance evaluation. IoT integration provides SMEs with abundant real-time data, enabling deep insights into customer behavior, supply chains, and production. Simultaneously, the XGBoost algorithm efficiently processes and extracts actionable insights from this data. Data from 11 provinces in the Yangtze River economic belt highlights Jiangsu Province's leadership in regional innovation performance for 2015 and 2020. The empirical results, grounded in datasets amalgamating information from these provinces, attest to the potential of this IoT and XGBoost-driven approach. Boasting an impressive accuracy rate of 91.7%, surpassing alternative machine learning techniques like SVM, KNN, DT, RF, and LR, this research underscores the effectiveness of this integrated strategy in optimizing SME operations. With the opening of the Stock Connect programs, the mainland China and Hong Kong stock markets are becoming more closely linked. In this paper, we develop a China's stock market risk early warning system. The proposed early warning system consists of three components. First, we use value at risk (VaR) to identify the stock market risk in which stock market risk is divided into multiple categories instead of two categories. Second, we construct a comprehensive indicator system in which basic indicators, technical indicators, overseas return rate indicators, and macroeconomic indicators are considered simultaneously. Third, we use four machine learning models, namely long short-term memory (LSTM), gate recurrent unit (GRU), multilayer perceptron (MLP), and EXtreme Gradient Boosting algorithm (XGBoost), to predict China's stock market risk. Experimental results show that: (1) Considering the macroeconomic indicators and basic indicators of Shanghai Composite Index (SSEC), ShenZhen Component Index (SZCZ) and Hang Seng Index (HSI) can significantly improve the performance of predicting China's stock market risk. (2) The opening of SH-HK Stock Connect program improves the predictive performance, but the opening of SZ-HK Stock Connect program decreases the predictive performance. Satellite infrared detectors cannot penetrate clouds, especially precipitating clouds. Improving precipitation estimation accuracy based on infrared brightness temperature has always been important but challenging. In this paper, based on the infrared brightness temperature of the Advanced Geosynchronous Radiation Imager (AGRI) onboard China's Feng‐Yun 4A satellite, we develop and evaluate a new precipitation estimation method. First, using static data, physical characteristics of clouds, cloud image texture features, temporal motion features, and AGRI infrared channel brightness temperature, we construct features for a machine learning model. Then, we develop precipitation estimation methods. Precipitation is estimated in two steps: classification and regression. We employ a random forest classification model to identify whether there is precipitation in a given field of view. If there is precipitation, a multi‐model ensemble regression learning method is used to estimate the areas with this precipitation. The ensemble learning method uses convex optimization to integrate prediction results based on the optimization of hyperparameters of five basic models (i.e., those of random forest, XGBoost, LightGBM, decision tree, and extra tree models). Furthermore, two regression stacking ensemble models—the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (herein referred to as Stacking1‐LASSO) and K‐nearest neighbor (herein referred to as Stacking2‐KNN)—are used to predict the results of the aforementioned basic models. The results of basic models are used as inputs of these two stacking models. Finally, based on the Integrated Multi‐satellitE Retrievals for GPM (IMERG) precipitation product and rain gauge precipitation data, we conduct precipitation estimation experiments and evaluate our methods. The results show that ensemble learning models have greater accuracy in estimating precipitation than the basic models. When using IMERG precipitation as the target precipitation, ensemble learning models can estimate the central area of heavy precipitation during typhoons Ampil and Maria. The ensemble learning estimation effect is better than that of Stacking2‐KNN. Moreover, when rain gauge data is used as the target precipitation, ensemble learning can also estimate the center of heavy precipitation and with good consistency with recorded satellite brightness temperature data. This article primarily focuses on the study of the correlation between floor vibration and human walking load in wooden buildings. It provides an analysis and summary of research findings from both domestic and international sources. Furthermore, the data collected is utilized to establish a model for estimating human walking load. The advent of information technology has witnessed significant transformative changes spurred by shifts in societal needs. Notably, the establishment of wireless sensor networks stands as a significant milestone within the field of information technology, highlighting advancements in science and technology. The evolution of wireless sensor networks has proven instrumental in various sectors within China, including but not limited to the military, environmental monitoring, biological research and medical systems, disaster monitoring, and energy allocation. This paper uses deep learning algorithms to analyze the node deployment problems of wireless sensor networks, summarizes a reasonable node deployment plan through specific research and practice, and uses collaborative deep learning methods to improve the operating efficiency of the network. In recent years, transformative technological advances have reshaped countless sectors, including higher education, leaving a lasting and indelible mark. Artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) coming together has proven to be an influential driving force for the development of creative solutions to the ever-evolving challenges faced by educational institutions. Traditional classroom teaching methods have encountered unprecedented hurdles with the widespread integration of the Internet into education. China's commitment to "governing the nation by law" has elevated the need for legal expertise. As society evolves, pedagogical approaches must adapt. Information and communication technology trends, combined with the rise of the IoT, are reshaping education and offering tools to bolster campus security, monitor vital assets, and enrich classroom accessibility. This paper proposes an AI-based hybrid model and an IoT-infused teaching approach personalized for legal education in colleges and universities, employing the decision tree algorithm. The study's focal point is the development of legal professionals possessing the robust capabilities and qualities society seeks, using teaching methods compatible with modern information technology. The foundation of this endeavor lies in the hybrid teaching mode, specifically Internet-based legal research. Within this platform, educators can disseminate instructional materials, videos, and exercises, with the option to enlist teaching assistants to aid in managing student learning. Comparing varied and traditional teaching classes, the passing rates were 96.75% and 95.36%, respectively. Data analysis using decision trees identifies factors influencing these rates. The study also evaluates students' accuracy in five in-class exercises; in the mixed class, correctness rates were 96.4%, 93.5%, 82.5%, 64.2%, and 62.8%. The proposed method is compared with other machine learning algorithms (SVM, KNN, LR, RF) and Decision Trees to evaluate the educational impact of the mixed teaching approach comprehensively. In recent years, the escalating global concerns surrounding climate change have placed a growing emphasis on achieving dual objectives: reducing carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality. Businesses and organizations are under mounting pressure to align their operations with these crucial environmental goals. This paper introduces the concept of an enterprise carbon performance evaluation index system (ECPIS) to strike a balance between economic development and environmental protection and enhance overall enterprise management and development strategies. The ECPIS framework is constructed using machine learning and advanced data mining techniques, particularly support vector machines (SVM). Its core purpose is to provide enterprises with a systematic tool to gauge, analyze, and enhance their carbon performance, addressing dual carbon objectives. ECPIS development hinges on data mining techniques, extracting insights from diverse data sources to construct a comprehensive system that accommodates these dual carbon goals' intricacies. Its methodology includes data collection, preprocessing, feature selection, and data mining algorithms to unveil vital patterns and relationships within data. It conforms to international standards, establishing a tailored carbon performance index system aligned with China's national conditions. It validates carbon-related enterprise data and employs data mining's association rules to uncover pertinent carbon performance information. The results obtained from ECPIS are auspicious, boasting an experiential accuracy rate of 97.5%. This level of accuracy surpasses that achieved by other algorithms like K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Random Forest (RF), Decision Trees (DT), Naïve Bayes (NB), and Logistic Regression (LR). Federated learning is a new distributed machine learning framework, where numerous heterogeneous clients collaboratively train a model without sharing training data. In this work, we consider a practical and ubiquitous issue when deploying federated learning in mobile environments: intermittent client availability, where the set of eligible clients may change during the training process. Such intermittent client availability would seriously deteriorate the performance of the classical federated averaging algorithm (FedAvg). Thus, we propose a simple distributed nonconvex optimization algorithm, called federated latest averaging (FedLaAvg), which leverages the latest gradients of all clients, even when the clients are not available, to jointly update the global model in each iteration. Our theoretical analysis shows that FedLaAvg achieves guaranteed convergence and a sublinear speedup with respect to the total number of clients. We implement FedLaAvg along with several baselines and evaluate them over the benchmarking MNIST and Sentiment140 data sets. The evaluation results demonstrate that FedLaAvg achieves more stable training than FedAvg in both convex and nonconvex settings and reaches a sublinear speedup. Ponds constitute a pivotal component of aquatic ecosystems. The aquatic ecosystem of the Huai River Basin (HRB) in China was once damaged by severe pollution, and numerous ponds in the basin have not been secured. In this paper, Shenqiu County, a typical county in HRB with many ponds, is selected. Based on high-resolution images with ALOS in 2010, GF-2 in 2016, and GF-1 in 2022, we employed discriminant analysis (DA), classification and regression tree, support vector machine, and random forest to extract the ponds based on object-oriented and further analyzed the spatial-temporal variations of the ponds in this county. The results of the DA in these three years exhibited a higher kappa coefficient (>0.7), and overall accuracy (>75%), signifying superior performance when compared to the other three methods. There were 4625, 5315, and 4748 ponds in 2010, 2016, and 2022, with a total area of 12.87, 11.99, and 9.37 km2, respectively. The number of ponds had a trend of rising in the initial period (2010–2016) and falling later (2016–2022), while the total area revealed a continuous decline. Meanwhile, these ponds showed a clustering phenomenon with three main clustering areas, and the scope of the clustering areas also changed to a certain extent from 2010 to 2022. Our study offers valuable methodological support for the ecological monitoring and management of water environments in regions characterized by a dense concentration of ponds. Machine learning models have been widely used in landslide susceptibility prediction. However, landslide multidimensional feature extraction, model generalization ability, and prediction quantification of deep learning are still challenging. This paper proposes a new approach, the landslide density-based bidirectional long short-term memory (LD-BiLSTM) model with multichannel input and an optimized sampling strategy to predict and map landslide susceptibility in active seismic mountainous areas of Sichuan Province, China. First, to ensure the generalization ability of the LD-BiLSTM model, other regions in Sichuan were selected as the model training area independent of the prediction area (Luding County). Multichannel landslide datasets were constructed to extract high-dimensional geospatial features of landslides. Subsequently, the landslide density of each grid cell was utilized as the label for the corresponding input sample. The LD-BiLSTM model was improved by using transfer learning and sampling optimization strategies, which makes our method attenuate the impact of historical landslide inventory deviation on the spatial susceptibility mode compared with the existing DL model, which usually uses landslide objects (LO) as input sample labels. Model performance evaluation results show that the LD-BiLSTM model (precision = 0.903, recall = 0.899, F1-score = 0.901, Area under receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) = 0.940) outperformed the LO-BiLSTM model (precision = 0.812, recall = 0.815. F1-score = 0.813, AUC = 0.910) in the case areas. Meanwhile, the performance of the LD-BiLSTM model (AUC = 0.9407) significantly outperformed both the information value (IV) (AUC = 0.7207) model and the random forest (RF) (AUC = 0.8116) models in the landslide prediction area (Luding), which confirms that the proposed LD-based method is superior to traditional LO-based methods. Changes in patterns of meteorological parameters, like precipitations, temperature, wind, etc., are causing significant increases in various extreme events. And these extreme events, i.e., floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, droughts, etc., lead to a shortage of water resources, crop failures, wildfires, and economic losses. However, Global Circulation Models (GCMs) are considered the most important tools for quantifying climate change. Therefore, we selected 20 different GCMs of precipitation in our research, as the frequency of extreme events, like drought and flood, is highly related to changes in precipitation patterns. However, this research introduced a new weighting scheme — MCFSAWS-Ensemble: Monte Carlo Feature Selection Adaptive Weighting Scheme to Ensemble multiple GCMs, whereas, Monte Carlo Feature Selection (MCFS) is one of the most popular algorithms for discovering important variables. However, the proposed weighting scheme (MCFSAWS-Ensemble) is mainly based on two sources. Initially, it evaluates the prior performance of each GCM model to define their relative importance using MCFS. Then, it computes value by value difference between the observed and simulated model. In addition, the application of this paper is based on the monthly time series data of precipitation in the Tibet Plateau region of China. In addition, we used twenty GCMs from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) to analyze the implications of the MCFSAWS-Ensemble. Further, we compared the performance of the MCFSAWS-Ensemble scheme with Simple Model Averaging (SMA) through Mean Average Error (MAE) and correlation statistics. The results of this research indicate that the proposed weighting scheme (MCFSAWS-Ensemble) is more accurate than the SMA approach. With the aging of the population, China has a large population base. The number of people suffering from mild cognitive impairment has gradually increased and gradually turned to senile dementia. The probability of mild cognitive impairment in China is about 5–7%, and about 15 million people are ill. To better distinguish mild cognitive impairment from Alzheimer's, this paper adopted the machine learning (ML) method to model. The evaluation table was established by considering the reaction time, education, background, memory, and other aspects of the patient. Machine learning has been applied in the fields of the Internet, finance, medicine, automation, biological science, etc. Through the machine learning support vector machine (SVM) and linear regression, the classification accuracy was compared. The results showed that the classification accuracy of SVM was 87.92% under the ML algorithm. It also showed that ML was more conducive to classification and recognition, which has played an important role in the identification of mild cognitive impairment in the current aging population. Accurately predicting carbon price is crucial for risk avoidance in the carbon financial market. In light of the complex characteristics of the regional carbon price in China, this paper proposes a model to forecast carbon price based on the multi-factor hybrid kernel-based extreme learning machine (HKELM) by combining secondary decomposition and ensemble learning. Variational mode decomposition (VMD) is first used to decompose the carbon price into several modes, and range entropy is then used to reconstruct these modes. The multi-factor HKELM optimized by the sparrow search algorithm is used to forecast the reconstructed subsequences, where the main external factors innovatively selected by maximum information coefficient and historical time-series data on carbon prices are both considered as input variables to the forecasting model. Following this, the improved complete ensemble-based empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise and range entropy are respectively used to decompose and reconstruct the residual term generated by VMD. Finally, the nonlinear ensemble learning method is introduced to determine the predictions of residual term and final carbon price. In the empirical analysis of Guangzhou market, the root mean square error(RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE) and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of the model are 0.1716, 0.1218 and 0.0026, respectively. The proposed model outperforms other comparative models in predicting accuracy. The work here extends the research on forecasting theory and methods of predicting the carbon price. Topographic variables derived from digital elevation models (DEM) are the most commonly used predictor in soil organic carbon (SOC) prediction. The predictability of these variates for the spatial heterogenity of SOC is influenced by the size of DEM resolution. This paper aimed to investigate the resolution effect of the topography at multiple DEM resolutions and select the most important predictors and the optimal resolution for SOC prediction in a large-scale and morphologically complex area. The study area, covering 15 600 km2, was located in a mountainous province in China. A total of 3901 soil samples and three machine learning algorithms including random forest, gradient boosted regression tree, and artificial neural network were used to construct the SOC predictive models at resolutions of 30, 90, 150, 210, 270, 330, and 390 m. Topographic factors were derived from the DEM with an original resolution of 30 m and were subsequently resampled to varying resolutions by using the bilinear interpolation algorithm. The importance of each variate in each predictive model was computed for the most important predictor selection, and the determination coefficient (R2) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of each predictive model were computed for the accuracy evaluation. Comparative analysis on point-based topographic representation, the accuracy of predictive models, and the variable importance was conducted among different resolutions to investigate the resolution effect on the SOC prediction and to select the optimal resolution for this study area. The results showed that topography was the key factor influencing the SOC distribution in this large-scale area due to the region's mountainous nature, and the relative contribution of the topography to predict SOC distribution varied with DEM resolutions. Elevation was the most important topographic factor at all DEM resolutions. Accuracies of predictive models built on the three machine learning algorithms were all dependent on DEM resolution, indicating that DEM resolution had an important effect on SOC prediction. Overall, the random forest predictive models outperformed the other two algorithms, and its most accurate result was obtained at the 210-m resolution with an R2 of 0.25 and an RMSE of 4.77 g kg–1. In conclusion, we found that finer resolutions did not necessarily produce more accurate SOC predictions even in a large-scale and morphologically complex area. Therefore, investigating the resolution effect is suggested to select an optimal resolution for the SOC prediction in other regions characterized by similar geomorphological conditions as this study area. • The nexus between FinTech development and inclusive growth is analyzed. • The indicator system for inclusive growth is established. • The spatial econometric approach and machine learning are applied. • The case of an emerging economy is considered. This study investigates the impact of financial technology (FinTech) on inclusive growth (IG) by exploiting a panel of 281 prefecture-level Chinese cities in the years 2011–2020 using the spatial econometric model and machine learning algorithm. The results show that FinTech positively impacts IG, while there is no spatial spillover effect. The evidence from the machine learning algorithms suggests that as FinTech advances to a higher level, its positive impact on IG increases. The mechanism test shows that the latter effect is achieved through entrepreneurial stimulation and human capital enhancement. Moreover, the impact of FinTech on IG is more pronounced in large and medium-sized cities and cities in the eastern region. However, it does not significantly affect small cities or cities in the central region. This paper, therefore, offers new insights on the interaction between FinTech and IG along with the analysis of the effects related to the development of FinTech on IG in China. The ionospheric foF2 prediction model GWO-ALSTM is proposed in this paper, which combines the Gray Wolf Optimization (GWO) algorithm and the attention mechanism based on the long short-term memory (LSTM) model. The datasets used in this model were obtained from the oblique ionosondes of the China Ground-based Seismo-ionospheric Monitoring Network. The data from 2010 to 2012 was used for training, and the data of 2013 was used for verification. The input parameters of the model include local time, day number, sunspot number, F10.7 solar flux, Ap index, Dst index, and foF2 at the previous moment, and the output parameter is foF2 at the current moment. The IRI2016 model, GABP model, LSTM model and GWO-ALSTM model were compared with the observed results for analysis. The results show that the GWO-ALSTM model is superior to the LSTM model, the GABP model and the IRI2016 model. Meanwhile, the comparative analyses of the diurnal variations of foF2 show that the curve of the GWO-ALSTM model fits the observed values more closely than the curve of any other model under the geomagnetic quiet and storm conditions. The mine roadway built in the same thick rock stratum will not change the lithologic medium in front of the roadway under the influence of the small structure of the mine, which makes the mine radar face many difficulties in structural interpretation. In the coal measure strata in southwest China, the coal seam roof is the weak aquifer of the Kayitou (T1k) group. The mine structure is the excellent drainage boundary of an aquifer, resulting in the water content of the structural belt being different from that of the surrounding rock. This paper proposes a method to identify hidden structures in mine roadways using the autoregressive and moving average power spectrum energy enveloping medium water content inversion technique. Based on the actual water content of strata in the study area, 48 roadway models are constructed. The finite‐difference time‐domain algorithm was used to obtain the forward data and calculate the volumetric water content of the model. The structure of the roadway model is accurately identified by the water content difference. In the numerical simulation study, the segmentation frequency of high‐frequency and low‐frequency envelope of the autoregressive and moving average spectrum of 100‐MHz radar antenna is determined to be 155 MHz, and the value range of water content calculation regulation parameter k is determined. The high‐ and low‐frequency envelope inversion characteristics of the autoregressive and moving average spectrum of different tunnel media models are summarized and analysed. To solve the calculation problem of energy envelope selection of autoregressive and moving average power spectrum of engineering data, the k‐nearest neighbour machine learning algorithm was used to learn and classify the power spectrum features of different tunnel models. The detection application is analysed through the whole‐rock medium and coal and rock medium roadway in the study area. BACKGROUND: The emergency rescue ability of firefighters is particularly important in the event of major disasters or accidents. Therefore, an assessment of the firefighter-training effectiveness is necessary. OBJECTIVE: This paper aims to achieve a scientific and effective assessment of the firefighter-training effectiveness in China. An assessment method based on human factor parameters and machine learning was proposed. METHOD: The model is constructed by collecting the corresponding human factor parameters such as electrocardiographic signals, electroencephalographic signals, surface electromyographic signals, and photoplethysmographic signals through wireless sensors and using them as constraint indicators. For the problems of weak human factor parameters and high noise proportion, an improved flexible analytic wavelet transform algorithm is used to denoise and extract the corresponding feature values. To overcome the limitations of traditional assessment methods, improved machine learning algorithms are used to comprehensively assess the training effectiveness of firefighters and provide targeted training suggestions. RESULTS: The effectiveness of this study's evaluation method is verified by comparing it with the expert scoring method and considering firefighters from a special fire station in Xhongmen, Daxing District, Beijing, as an example. The Internet of Things (IoT) has gained significant popularity through wearable technologies. Several IoT devices are used in educational institutions, smart homes, and security management. Their widespread use in sports training applications using IoT (WS-IoT)-based wearable sensors is noteworthy. Meanwhile, artificial intelligence (AI) has evolved rapidly, and its applications have expanded across many diverse fields. Over the past few years, China has placed greater emphasis on physical education to enhance students' physical fitness and overall capabilities. A significant number of colleges and universities have adopted artificial intelligence to transform traditional single-mode sports training methods. This paper introduces a continuous monitoring system for sports individuals using the WS-IoT. The goal of coaches is to maximize the results of athlete training across various sports events using AI technology and their sports expertise. In this study, we examine the use of AI technology in sports and assess the practical implications of its implementation. To achieve the objective function, we used a Bayesian deep classifier and deep learning algorithms that utilize adaptive optimization. Utilizing artificial intelligence in Chinese educational institutions improves training efficiency and effectiveness. The system was then rigorously tested and analyzed in terms of the quality-of-service parameters, including communication collisions and packet loss rates. It is shown that packet loss rates increase with increasing packet numbers, but collision rates remain unchanged. Furthermore, a practical application of the system in colleges and universities showed that 14.4% of the students were extremely satisfied with the use of teaching materials, 24.5% were satisfied with the materials, 30.1% were satisfied with the training methods, and 17.9% were dissatisfied. Remote-sensing images of high spatial resolution (HSR) are valuable sources of fine-grained spatial information for various applications, such as urban surveys and governance. There is continuing research on positional errors in remote-sensing images and their impacts in geoprocessing and applications. This paper explores the combined use of multi-point geostatistics (MPS), machine learning—in particular, generalized additive modeling (GAM)—and computer-image correlation for characterizing positional errors in images—in particular, HSR images. These methods are employed because of the merits of MPS in being flexible for non-parametric and joint simulation of positional errors in X and Y coordinates, the merits of GAM in being capable of handling non-stationarity in-positional errors through error de-trending, and the merits of computer-image correlation in being cost-effective in furnishing the training data (TD) required in MPS. Procedurally, image correlation is applied to identify homologous image points in reference-test image pairs to extract image displacements automatically in constructing TD. To cope with the complexity of urban scenes and the unavailability of truly orthorectified images, visual screening is performed to clean the raw displacement data to create quality-enhanced TD, while manual digitization is used to obtain reference sample data, including conditioning data (CD), for MPS and test data for performance evaluation. GAM is used to decompose CD and TD into trends and residuals. With CD and TD both de-trended, the direct sampling (DS) algorithm for MPS is applied to simulate residuals over a simulation grid (SG) at 80 m spatial resolution. With the realizations of residuals and, hence, positional errors generated in this way, the means, standard deviation, and cross correlation in bivariate positional errors at SG nodes are computed. The simulated error fields are also used to generate equal-probable realizations of vertices that define some road centerlines (RCLs), selected for this research through interpolation over the aforementioned simulated error fields, leading to error metrics for the RCLs and for the lengths of some RCL segments. The enhanced georectification of the RCLs is facilitated through error correction. A case study based in Shanghai municipality, China, was carried out, using HSR images as part of generalized point clouds that were developed. The experiment results confirmed that by using the proposed methods, spatially explicit positional-error metrics, including means, standard deviation, and cross correlation, can be quantified flexibly, with those in the selected RCLs and the lengths of some RCL segments derived easily through error propagation. The reference positions of these RCLs were obtained through error correction. The positional accuracy gains achieved by the proposed methods were found to be comparable with those achieved by conventional image georectification, in which the CD were used as image-georectification control data. Among the critical global crises curbing world development and sustainability, air quality degradation has been a long-lasting and increasingly urgent one and it has been sufficiently proven to pose severe threats to human health and social welfare. A higher level of model prediction accuracy can play a fundamental role in air quality assessment and enhancing human well-being. In this paper, four types of machine learning models—random forest model, ridge regression model, support vector machine model, extremely randomized trees model—were adopted to predict PM2.5 concentration in ten cities in the Jing-Jin-Ji region of north China based on multi-sources spatiotemporal data including air quality and meteorological data in time series. Data were fed into the model by using the rolling prediction method which is proven to improve prediction accuracy in our experiments. Lastly, the comparative experiments show that at the city level, RF and ExtraTrees models have better predictive results with lower mean absolute error (MAE), root mean square error (RMSE), and higher index of agreement (IA) compared to other selected models. For seasonality, level four models all have the best prediction performances in winter time and the worst in summer time, and RF models have the best prediction performance with the IA ranging from 0.93 to 0.98 with an MAE of 5.91 to 11.68 μg/m3. Objectives: On 5th September 2022, an Ms 6.8 earthquake struck the Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China. This earthquake triggered extensive geological hazards in the moun‐ tainous area, leading to serious casualties. Rapidly and accurately obtaining the spatial distribution of the in‐ duced geological hazards is crucial for emergency decision-making and rescue after an earthquake. Methods: Based on the global coseismic landslide database and deep learning algorithm, this paper built a near real-time prediction model of spatial distribution probability of coseismic landslides, and obtained the prediction results of the geological hazards induced by the Luding earthquake within 2 hours after the event. Through the post-earthquake unmanned aerial vehicle （UAV） and satellite remote sensing images, ma‐ chine learning and deep learning algorithms were used to realize the automated recognition of large-scale geological hazards. A total of 3 633 earthquake-induced landslides with an area of 13.78 km2 were interpreted. Finally, the model was optimized by integrating these landslide data, and the prediction results of coseismic landslides with a broader area and higher accuracy were achieved. Results: The results show that the coseis‐ mic landslide prediction model can realize a rapid capture of spatial distribution of post-earthquake geologi‐ cal hazards, filling the blank period before the acquisition of post-earthquake remote sensing images and providing support for post-disaster emergency rescue. Conclusions: Intelligent identification technologies based on UAV and satellite remote sensing images are effective means to rapidly obtain the vital informa‐ tion of large-scale geological hazards. Congestion pricing has been unquestionably recognized as an efficient strategy for managing traffic demand following the successful introduction of such schemes in a number of cities. However, the lack of political and public acceptance can be blamed for the nonexecution of congestion pricing projects in numerous cities around the world. This paper sheds light on the impacts of congestion pricing and the factors influencing its public acceptance. Our research was aimed to answer the following questions: (ⅰ) What are the factors that can influence public acceptance of congestion pricing? (ⅱ) What are the impacts of implementing a congestion pricing scheme? (ⅲ) How can we overcome the barriers that currently stand in the way of public acceptance of congestion pricing? To answer these questions, we developed a case study combining stated preference and revealed preference data collected in Nanjing, China. The study analyzes the acceptance of congestion pricing and the factors influencing it, such as socioeconomics, the perceived impact, fairness and public transit-related factors. We compare logistic regression and artificial neural network models to gain a deeper knowledge of the important factors and investigate the respondents' attitudes. The results revealed that the perceived impacts on congestion, the environment, trips to the city center, revenue allocation, public transportation price satisfaction, annual income, fairness, car ownership and travel frequency, along with the efficiency and capacity of public transport systems, need to be included when evaluating individuals' acceptance of congestion pricing. Among these, the perceived impacts on congestion and the environment, fairness and revenue allocation to public transportation are the most significant factors. Moreover, we offer further qualitative insight into the individual, economic and social impacts of congestion pricing.
