A Bibliometric Study of Communications Published in Journal of Informetrics from 2012 to 2016. This research study demonstrates a bibliometric study of scholarly communication published by Ahmedabad Library Network (ADINET) in proceedings of annual conference (seminar). ADINET celebrates Librarian's Day every year to commemorate the birthday of Dr. S R Ranganathan by organizing seminar in Gujarat, a leading state of India. This bibliometric study is intended to bring out the results of seminar proceedings published by ADINET from 2005 to 2019. This study investigated 176 papers published in Proceedings of ADINET seminar during 15 years. Study revealed that most of authors prefers to write for this seminar as a single author and out of 176 research papers 119 papers are written as single author whereas 36 papers found with double author and 21 papers published with three authors. This study investigates the extent of publication output and functional areas of Library and Information Science (LIS) professionals. The research has been undertaken based on the primary data collected from the LIS professionals working in the various eight-state universities in Kerala, India. The population of the study consists of two hundred and sixty-six regular LIS professionals. The Census method was used for the collection of data. A questionnaire was designed and used as the instrument for extracting publication output and the relevant data. Based on the data analysis, the results show that the highest mean score for the publications of LIS professionals is in the conference papers followed by journal articles. This paper describes results of a scientometric study of "Robotics" research publications during the period of 10 years i.e. (2009-2018). The raw data was collected from leading citation database i.e. Scopus. The study examines and analysis various scientometrics parameter and after the analysis it has been found that the out of total 4325 research paper, the highest documents were published in 2018 i.e. 791 (18.29%) while the minimum 134 (3.1%) of research papers were found in the year 2009 and the annual growth rate of publications was in fluctuating trends. The maximum (1.23) relative growth rate was found in 2010; the highest doubling time (3.43) was recorded in 2018; the maximum papers were written by more than three authors i.e. 1657 research papers. The average degree of author's collaborations was (0.93). Krishna, K.M. was the most productive author with (51) research papers contribution. Out of a total 16670 citations, 2718 citations were recorded in 2010 and a total 4325 publications, 2704 (62.52%) of records were conference paper. The highest publications came from computer science subject and the highest publications were published in ACM international conference proceeding series while the maximum 2508 'Robotics keyword was used by the authors during the period of study. This paper aims to examine research practice and performance on the electronics resources in India during the year 2011 to 2020 on different parameters namely yearly research growth, relative growth rate and doubling time, forms of research, most prolific authors and Institutions, Collaborative country, degree of collaboration, and funding agency etc. The data of the current research paper about electronic resources indexed in the Scopus database have been retrieved. The records with topic search (includes Title, Abstract, Keywords and Keywords Plus) "Electronic resources" were extracted. MS Excel and VOS viewer have analyzed these data. The search result shows that a total of 1482 papers have indexed in the Scopus database during 2011-2020. This article explores the techniques for designing and managing the bibliographical database by using the Windows-based ISIS (WINISIS) library software package and specified the brief description of steps taken to create a database of all bibliographic materials as well as features of WINSIS are taken into consideration. The purpose of the paper is to be acquainted college librarians with the distinctive features of the Windows-based ISIS because Microsoft Windows is described as a graphical user environment, which gives the user more control over the work as well as enables the user to use more of the power of the computer. The current study conducted to quantify the research contribution of Library and Information Science (LIS) women faculty of India between 1988 and 2018. The study prepared an inclusive list of Indian universities offering LIS education by visiting its official websites individually and collected the names and other details of the LIS women faculties engaged in the teaching profession. The bibliographical data were extracted from the Scopus database during the year 1988-2018. Finally, a total of 146 research articles published by 38 LIS women faculty in India. The core findings of this study were the majority of research works published in journal articles followed by review articles, conference papers, and book chapters respectively. It was also revealed that LIS women faculty of India tend to publish more in an international platform than a national one. Dual authorship found dominating among the LIS women faculty of India. Further study revealed that P. Mahajan was the most productive LIS women faculty of India from Panjab University. The study result suggests that very small portion participations in research contributions as the current study surveyed 129 universities offering LIS education in India. However, many universities do not have a single LIS women faculty. Multilingual retrival systems are very important for countries like India, where we have multiple scripts and many languages for verbal and written communication. The creation of a multilingual interface for the retrival, management, and processing of information and knowledge needs systematic efforts and requires related features in the Library Management Software and the availability of bibliographic records in catalogues. This paper is an effort to study various related aspects of multilingual record creation and retrival provisions in Union Datanases. The development of a multilingual environment for accessing and retrieving library resources among the users as well as library professionals is essential. The article is divided into five sections. This research paper aims to explore the Methods used for Implementing Knowledge Management in the University Libraries of North. The methods outline the different methods of implementing KM in libraries and this paper seeks to know about the procedures to be followed for implementing KM, LIS professional's level of awareness about KM, benefits of implementation KM and the obstacles faced by LIS professionals during KM execution. A total of 280 LIS professionals working in 20 select state universities were approached for the collection of data. In order to obtain a large and representative sample of LIS professionals, stratified random sampling is being used. The study was delimited to the 20 Government state universities (having all disciplines) and listed on the University Grants Commission's website (Govt. of India) and comes under the northern region of India. The main libraries of the universities were covered in the study, whereas departmental libraries were excluded. It has been found that there was no significant difference regarding the awareness of KM between the Professional Assistants and the rest of the LIS professionals. It has been also noted that LIS professionals assumed that the major benefit of KM implementation that it helped to improve library services & operations. Furthermore, the major barriers to the implementation of KM are lack of training, lack of rewards / incentives for innovative performance, lack of human resources, lack of knowledge sharing culture, hesitation to adopt the change by LIS professionals and misunderstanding about the knowledge management on the part of the library staff to incorporate knowledge management practices. Children in multilingual countries require free access to story repositories for leisure reading. Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to promote and share the research output of Bennett University (BU), India through Digital Repository Services (DRSs). It aims at encouraging, assisting and accelerating the research fraternity of the university. Design/methodology/approach -- This paper explains about the initiatives adopted by the LRC at BU for developing DRS using open-space software, Dspace for long-term preservation of intellectual assets and increase the visibility of the institute in global landscape. Findings -- DRS at BU was developed with an aim to preserve and disseminate the intellectual assets of BU, encourage budding talents and increase BU's visibility in global landscape. Despite the constraints at the experimental phase, DRS at BU collected over 707 publications (October 2021) and the number is ever increasing. Though there were some initial glitches before and after the implementation process but keeping a flexible approach, LRC will continue mapping solutions for BU. Indigenous knowledge (IK) is a valuable knowledge system available to a particular group of communities. This knowledge system forms the basis of identity for various indigenous communities in the world. It is a holistic knowledge system alternative to the knowledge imparted in the formal education system. So, IK has numerous facets within it. This paper discusses the facet of agriculture; the indigenous irrigation system practised by the Tangkhul Tribe in Manipur, India. A survey was conducted in Ukhrul District, Manipur, to understand the traditional irrigation system used by the Tangkhul Tribe. Field Interviews and observation methods were used to collect the data. Respondents consist of a farmer over the age of sixty. The main objective of the study was to document the traditional process irrigation system that includes methods, raw materials and tools used. Due to academia's lack of involvement in research, development, and innovation activities, there is a tremendous amount of talent underutilised in Indian engineering educational institutions. Indian engineering educational institutions confront numerous obstacles that limit their participation in research. Lack of funding, a tight budget, poor fund allocation, a weak research ecosystem, fewer opportunities for interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research, a decline in PhD enrolment, over-centralization, a lack of accountability, transparency, and bureaucratic structures have all contributed to an increase in the administrative workload at universities, which has diluted their primary emphasis on research. The K J Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology (KJSIEIT), an engineering educational institute in India, is the subject of a research case study in this paper that addresses the challenges of Indian engineering institutes' limited involvement in research development and innovation. KJSIEIT's efforts to establish a research culture have demonstrated this by launching practises for research, development, and innovation such as strong hand holding for idea implementation, building incubator and start-up support systems, constant encouragement for increased research involvement, hands-on training for start-ups, applying for and competing for government funding, working on industry collaborative, societal, need-based, educational, agricultural and healthcare. This study analyses the Eosinophilia research output carried out during the year 1998 - 2017 the different parameters including authorship pattern, growth, Time Series Analysis Degree of Collaboration, Institutions' contribution, most productivity journals were analysed. The overall growth rate of literature output is found to be positive with an increasing trend in Eosinophilia research throughout the study period. Two and more authored papers constitute majority of the contribution and degree of collaboration had a maximum value of 7.14. The principal component of this paper is to ascertain the prominent variables of technological, organizational, environmental, and financial constructs that influence library cloud computing (LCC) among the library users and professionals in the selected universities of India. This paper discusses the advantages, opportunities, challenges, and Models of Smart Library in the ICT age library management system. The study also commissioned tools viz. EFA, CFA, and structural equation assess the degree to which selected factors were associated with LCC adoption. Empirical research proposed four hypotheses by selecting the technological, organizational, environmental, and financial constructs and 16 manifests in the specified model. The model was then tested on a sample of 510 respondents of 26 major states, central and private universities of India using SEM-ANN. First, SEM was employed to find out which variables had a meaningful influence on LCC. Secondly, the output of ANN outlined the rank of influencing predictors obtained from SEM. It is evident that technological factors, greater scalability (TF_1), tech-readiness (TF_2), and easier back-up (TF_3), are the most robust antecedents of LCC. Whereas in organizational factors- recognized usefulness (OF_1), are the robust manifest, but in environmental factors-geographical reach (EF_1), administrative support (EF_2), conducive application interface (EF_4), are the significant predictors. Eventually, financial factors- costsaving (FF_1) and better return on investment (FF_2) are the considerable predictors obtained from ANN. The present study focused on the research publications of women faculty in the field of physics, Astrophysics, Astronomy and Atmospheric Science in India. To collect the data we have covered the women faculty of Central Universities, State Universities, IITs, NITs, IISER's, NISER's, research institutes, laboratories and some selected deemed universities. The first fact we found was that the number of women were very less as compare to male staff. To see the publication productivity of women authors we tried to analyze the year-wise productivity, authorship pattern, preferred journals, place and designation and the research papers received highest citations for the period of five years from 2011- 2015. Year 2014 found to be the most productive year and in authorship pattern, women authors preferred to publish their research in collaboration. The paper deals with the Indian physics literature published in resources as reflected in Web of Science (WOS) during the period 2004-2018. The study analyses India's performance based on its publication output in physics, few Scientometric indices, such as the number of publications, number of citations, activity index, relative growth rate, doubling time, patterns of communication in national and international journals, are considered for portraying the different dimensions, Most prolific scientists and Institutions, and national & international collaboration from India were also considered. It was examined that during 2004-2018 there was a substantial increase in yearly output of Indian physics literature, compared to the global output ratio. The study reveals that the literature in the field of physics is gradually increasing and there is an upward trend, however there is some fluctuation in trends of publications with mean growth rate of 0.220 and average doubling time is 3.714. Among the subfields Materials Science has the largest number of publications amounting to 31.30% of the overall publications. Journal of Applied Physics has published highest number of papers i.e. 3097 with 12.5 average citations per paper. Among the Research Institutes, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, has published highest number of publications i.e. 19931 among the physics research institutes in India. Research productivity of any university is a reflection of its status quo in terms of its position in Higher Education Institution (HEI) ranking framework. This Scientometric study is an attempt to highlight the key features of research productivity of Science Faculty of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University based on the data collected from Web of Science database over a period of 30 years from 1990 to 2019.This article studied the publication trend by analysis of the 2229 research records. The major objectives of this study were to evaluate the research output in terms of number and type of publications, prolific and productive author, most preferred publication, citation analysis and so on. The complete research output is 2229 with an Annual Growth Rate (AGR) of 6.23 % with 11.4 % of average citations per paper. The period from year 2004 to 2019 was highly productive block with year 2015 contributing highest 7.31 % of the total number of publications during the study period. Physics was found to the core subject in which high level of quantitative as well as qualitative research has been performed by Science Faculty of the university. The present research purpose is to investigate the publishing trends of LPP during the COVID-19 from 2020 to 2021. The quantitative research design and survey method has been used to retrieve data from the website of LPP with full text article. The collected data has been analyzed using quantification tools. The parameters were set for this study is frequency of publication growth, author's collaborations, degree of author collaboration, papers length and most productive regions. The data revealed 860 research papers were collected during the COVID-19 era. Where 844 papers were published in 2020 and 16 were published in 2021 as per retrieved data from the LPP database. The length of papers has confirmed with 290(33.72%) with range of 16-20 pages. The degree of collaboration was analyzed that is 0.76. The present study shows the author collaboration where two authors was in majority that is 380(44.18%). The prime purpose of this study is to find out the research productivity of three regions Nigeria, Pakistan, and India. The bibliometric quantification was used to analyze the data. The present research identifies the importance of this online journal. The study discloses frequency of publication growth, author's collaborations, papers length, and most cited papers, most productive authors, and total references used. Design/methodology/approach The survey method was used to find out the full-text research articles on the online database of LPP. The Google scholar was used to retrieve the citations. All the collected data has been analyzed using MS excel and other electronic devices. Findings The results of this study indicate that in the year 2008 to 2013. The contribution of Nigerian authors is more than the other two nations that are 226 while Indian comes 2nd with 193 research papers and Pakistan comes 3rd with 67 research articles from the studied period in the wellknown journal of Library and information science field that is LPP. The present study revealed the majority of the research articles were single authors from Nigeria 114, Pakistan 18, and India 80. The study results show that the majority of the paper length in the range of 6-10 Nigerian 116, Pakistan 34, and India 70 respectively. The study showed the total references were calculated 4140 from Nigeria, 1506 Pakistan, and 3243 from Indian. The most cited paper was retrieved by a Nigerian paper that is 197 citations. The analyzed data shows the most productive authors were Rubina Bhatti from Pakistan with 18 research papers. This study contributes to the existing literature of three-nation contributions to the Library Philosophy and practice throughout the year. This is the first study of three-nation research productivity in the well-known online journal library philosophy and practice. Limitations of the study The present study was limited to the well-known LIS Journal and research articles specifically published at online journal library philosophy and practice. This study is purely limited to the research productivity of Nigerian, Pakistani, and Indian authors to the Library Philosophy and Practice from 2008 to 2013. Purpose: This paper makes a broad investigation on the libraries of universities in Gujarat, India. The main focus of the present research study reports on the information services, status of library building, sections and infrastructure facilities in selected Government Degree Colleges Libraries of North Costal Andhra Pradesh, India. Out of the 15 libraries studied, 10 do not have a separate building for library and they are housed either in administrative or part of class rooms. The degree college libraries of Srikakulam district have reported with adequate furniture, space for users, seating accommodation and toilet facilities. To understand the services offered to the users under the information services are studied-the reference services, question papers services and news paper clipping services are reported in all the studied 15 libraries. This research study aims to find out the research productivity of Nigerian and Indian authors to the library philosophy and practice from 2008 to 2013. The present study also finds the frequency of productivity, author collaboration, papers length, most cited papers, and most references as well as most productive authors. The present research finds the 226 research articles have been contributed by Nigerian authors and 193 papers have been contributed by Indian authors. The highest number of papers has been written by Nigerian authors was 76 in 2010 and from the Indian 60 papers were contributed in 2013. This present study identifies those 114 single authors from Nigeria and 80 from India. 116 papers from Nigerian authors those range 6-10 pages while 57 from India. With the creative advocacy of inclusion in every aspect of the society, Social Inclusion is now a universal concept and inclusivity in the library is no exception. An inclusive Library is an important element for an inclusive education and thereby, an inclusive society. Accessibility is the key concern when it comes to inclusion in the library. This study focuses on the various issues of accessibilities in selected academic libraries located in the North Eastern Region of India. This topic seems to be an underexplored study, especially in this region of the country. Therefore, it is high time to create a serious awareness about the importance of an inclusive library that supports the students with special needs in their quest for information and higher education. With this goal, the present study was undertaken to draw attention of the scientific community to the existing gaps in the library services to its users with special needs, especially in higher learning. This paper highlights the initial findings of a research study on the academic libraries in sixteen selected central institutes located in the North Eastern region of India, regarding their services to the persons with special needs. Various accessibility measures based on standard recommendations were studied to have a holistic approach towards inclusivity in these libraries. Purpose: Open source software is used widely across different continents though its adoption in libraries depend upon varioius factors. Type of library, availability of staff, qualification and skill sets of the librarian and other staff, support of the management, library budget, time availability, independence to the librarian are just some of the factors that may determine adoption of open source software. This paper tries to understand if gender of the librarian also has any significant impact on adoption of open source software. Design/Methodology/Approach: This study is conducted in India focusing on libraries of the private management education institutions in the Noida and Ghaziabad of the Uttar Pradesh, a state of India. Data is collected using Google Forms. After normalization of data, analyis of the data is conducted using SPSS 18 version after conducting reliability analysis on the major vaiables for reliability of the data. The sample is chosen due to very large number and different types of educational institutions providing management education in this geographical area. Findings: This study confirms that more and more libraries are adopting open source software now however adoption rate of open source software among female libraries is lesser. It is evident from the study women are not lagging behind due to qualification or skill sets but their other responsibilities i.e. family responsibilities cause work-life imbalance and hence they do not take much risks and try to adjust in pre-defined boundaries. Survey results also indicate if employer provides risk free environment to female librarians then adoption of open source software may become faster. The paper aims to analyze the information needs of Indian Members of Parliament (MPs) related to the rural and urban development in their constituency or region. Rural Connectivity is a key component of the rural development, thus the current study explores the level of awareness of Indian MPs about the status of rural connectivity with the Urban areas and rural accessibility via various means of Transport available for the people in their region/constituency for Intercity and Interstate Travel. The implementation of various Government schemes for the development of rural India by the Indian MPs has also been studied. The data is collected through survey methodology with the help of a predefined structured questionnaire including interview method to get the exact insight about the rural and urban development information needs of Indian MPs. The survey results were tabulated and analyzed with the help of descriptive statistical methods and hypothesis testing is done with Pearson's Chi Square testing technique. The findings reveals that the majority of people use Auto Rickshaw (98.7%) and Taxi (98.7%) followed by Rickshaw (93.6%) for local travelling in their area or region. The major modes of transportation available in the constituencies are Bus (100%) & Rail (97.4%) respectively. The majority of MPs have implemented 'Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana' (i.e. 94.9%) and 'Pradhan Mantri Aawaas Yojna' (i.e. 89.5%) in the villages/rural areas of their constituencies. The majority of MPs have responded that HDFC Bank is the Top loan provider agency in both Rural (23) and Urban (24) areas respectively. Lastly, the study concludes that highest number of beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Aawaas Yojna (PMAY) are from North region (i.e., 4,01,100) of India followed by 2,78,920 beneficiaries from Central region and 2,45,600 beneficiaries respectively from South region. Purpose - This study was carried out to ascertain parents' attitude about reading related activities of children, to discover parents' efforts for instilling the reading habit in their children, to understand the challenges faced by parents in inculcating reading habit in their children, and to suggest possible solutions to the parents' difficulties related to their children's reading habits. Design/Methodology - The research was conducted using the Survey method, with Focus Group Discussion used as the data collection tool. The research sample was 24 parents of pupils who were studying in the primary and secondary Marathi medium schools in Nashik district. An anonymous data was collected Qualitative descriptive analysis was carried out of the collected data. Findings - It was observed that parents knew that pleasure reading was important for the overall behavioral development of their children. However, less than half of them performed any substantial activities to instill the reading habit in their children. Children's excessive usage of the internet, time constraints, children's disinterest in reading, and parents' incognizance about the effective reading material were the main challenges faced. Originality/Value - This study is one of the first one of its kind in the Indian scenario. Uniquely collecting parents' real experiences through focus group interviews, this paper provides concrete solutions to the difficulties of parents in inculcating reading habits among their children. In the present-day world, theft and vandalism has become very common and a severe problem in academic college libraries. The present paper deals with the analysis of publications of The M S University of Baroda (MSU) that appeared in the SCOPUS database. For authorship pattern and subject-wise distribution study, MSU data has been used from the year 2016 to the end of the year 2020. A total of 1698 data has been downloaded and analyzed according to objectives. The study reveals that the growth of literature follows the exponential growth pattern, journal articles are the most published form of literature (75.15%), AIP Conference Proceedings and Chemistry Select are top journals, The M S University of Baroda and Sardar Patel University are collaborating organizations in India ranked first and the second position. The present paper examines the assessing the impact of ICT on the library users and their reading habits. A total of 2463 samples were selected from 11 state universities in Karnataka State, India. A well designed questionnaire was used for the data collection and data has been analyzed using SPSS. The present study consisted of an equal number of males (51.3%) and female (48.7%) respondents and most of the them are from rural (63.0%) areas. It can be seen from the table that the majority of female (71.8%) and male (66.3%) respondents read information sources at their home. It is very interesting to note that majority of the respondents are inspired by themselves to read (68.5%) followed by good books (57.4%) and teachers (42.0%). The study found that 50.3% of male and 49.7% of female respondents opined that the ICT has made an impact on their reading habits. In this regards the result found that, the ICT has made an impact on enhancing the reading habits of the respondents. Further, it is found that, majority of the respondents strongly agreed that they can read more books available online, they can save time in searching information, they can get all information in their fingertips. The result shows that, the students and faculties have faced various problems in using ICT tools.
