The subfamily Alysiinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) is one of the most peculiar and diverse groups of endoparasitoids of Diptera. The present paper provides additional information on the subfamily Alysiinae in Iran. The specimens were collected using Malaise traps during May - September 2010. The genus Grammospila Foerster, 1863, and four species of Alysiini were discovered for the first time from Iran: Grammospila fuscula Griffiths, 1968, G. rufiventris Nees, 1812, Dacnusa maculipes Thomson, 1895 and D. plantaginis Griffiths, 1966. Including our findings, the number of species of the genera Dacnusa and Grammospila are raised to 22 and 2 species in Iran, respectively. Dipsacus gmelinii is here reported as a new addition to the vascular flora of Bulgaria. It was recorded on Belene Island, in the Danube River. In the present paper, the species is described morphologically with an emphasis on carpomorphological characters. The distinctive differences from related species of the genus are also highlighted. Additionally, ecological conditions and floristic composition at the localities of the species, and phytosociological relationships of the communities in which it participates are discussed. New faunistic and taxonomic data are provided for 18 families of Iranian spiders. Four species, Cryptodrassus liyanicus Zamani & Marusik, sp. n. (♀, Bushehr Province; Gnaphosidae), Mesiotelus khorasanicus Zamani & Marusik, sp. n. (♂♀, Razavi Khorasan Province; Liocranidae), Nurscia minuscula Zamani & Marusik, sp. n. (♀, West Azerbaijan Province; Titanoecidae) and Talanites farsensis Zamani & Marusik, sp. n. (♀, Fars Province; Gnaphosidae), are described as new to science. Clubiona liachviana Mcheidze, 1997 stat. reval. (Clubionidae) is removed from the synonymy with C. alpicola Kulczyński, 1882 and is reported from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkmenistan for the first time; additionally, its previously unknown male is described. The genus Kishidaia Yaginuma, 1960 (Gnaphosidae) and a total of 10 species are recorded in Iran for the first time, and new provincial records are provided for 20 species. This paper contains descriptions and illustrations of five new species of the genus Aulacocentrum Brues, 1922, from Vietnam, viz. Aulacocentrum assitum Long & Pham, sp. nov. ; A. glabrum Long, sp. nov. ; A. imparum Long & van Achterberg, sp. nov. ; A. intermedium Long & van Achterberg, sp. nov. ; and A. simulatum Long, sp. nov. Additionally, Aulacocentrum seticella van Achterberg & He is newly recorded for Vietnam's braconid fauna. During expeditions in the province of Bukidnon, southern Philippines, populations of Hedychium flavescens Carey ex Roscoe - a major plant invader in New Zealand, Hawaii, and La Réunion - were documented. This paper formally reports the presence of H. flavescens, an escaped species with invasive potential in the country. The species was recorded in the municipalities of Impasug-ong and Maramag in Bukidnon in 2018 and 2020, respectively. H. flavescens is the third species of Hedychium in the Philippines, adding to the two previously known species - namely, H. coronarium Koenig and H. philippinense K.Schum. This research paper report and discuss the first record of Chaetomorpha minima from Pakistan. The study sheds light on the fine aspects of the surface and interior structures of the species thorough morphological assessment of the taxonomic aspects. The cosmopolitan genus Chaetomorpha is commonly known as “Spaghetti algae”. It is a green alga belongs to the family Cladophoraceae. The specimen was collected from nutrient-rich, shallow environment of Sandspit backwaters mangrove area which is connected with the Arabian Sea through Manora Channel. Mangrove forest comprises of only one species Avicennia marina andprovides good feeding, sheltering and breeding ground for many species of birds giving significant importance by providing a representative wetland ecosystem close to the mega city. Cryptomycina pteridis (Ascomycota, class Sordariomycetes) is a highly host-specific fungus, infecting only a native, fern Pteridium aquilinum. This endophyte is usually overlooked, although it is easy to recognise due to its characteristic symptoms on bracken fern fronds, especially advanced narrowing and shrivelling of pinnae and pinnules. Infested plants have pinnae and pinnules curling upwards, and dark stromata along the veins on the undersides of pinnules. The fungus is an obligate systemic endophyte, which disturbs fern growth. Based field works, specimen collections and lots of literatures reading, we found a newly recorded species of Phyllanthaceae from China——Sauropus racemosus Beille. It differs from other species of Sauropus in having glabrous young branches, glabrous leaves, racemoses 3 to 5 clustered on the lower part of the old stem branchlets. In this paper, a detailed description, color photographs and geographical distribution of S. racemosus are given. In addition, we consider S. racemosus as ‘Endangered'(EN)based on the IUCN categories and criteria. The discovery of S. racemosus enriched the diversity of plant species in the Sino-Vietnanese border area. It reflects that the Sino-Vietnanese border area are biodiversity hotspots in the world and key areas for biodiversity conservation. During the process of studying the diatom diversity of Hunan Province, we find that a Cymbella species collected from Xiang River possesses the following diagnostic features:(1)Cells are small and their lengths are less than 29 μm;(2)Valves exhibit slight dorsiventrality;(3)Distal raphe fissures are dorsally deflected;(4)Apical pore fields are very small and composed of 1-3 transapical rows of porelli, which comprise two forms, one is slit-like, similar to the areolae on the valve face, and the other is rounded with internal openings covered by the flap-like silica projections;(5)Striae 10-12/10 μm at the dorsal middle part, 11-13/10 μm at the ventral middle part, and areolae 30-40/10 μm;(6)And 1-2 stigmata exist near the valve ventral central area. After comparing this species with the type population of Cymbella pavanaensis A. Vigneshwaran et al., in this paper, it is identified as C. pavanaensis. The naturalization and invasion of alien species have caused a serious impact on the global environment and social development, and have become a global problem faced by countries in biodiversity management and ecological conservation. China is one of the countries most seriously affected by alien invasion, and the situation is serious in the early warning, management and governance of alien invasion. Based on field surveys and literature research, Chenopodiastrum murale(L.)S. Fuentes, Uotila & Borsch, an alien invasive plant of Amaranthaceae sensu lato, is first reported for flora of China. C. murale is native to the Mediterranean region and has spread to more than 40 countries in Europe, America, Africa and Oceania. It is an invasive alien plant with great harm, and it is also clearly prohibited by customs and quarantine departments. This exotic invasive plant is now found in Chenggong District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. This paper describes the morphological characteristics of the species in detail, as well as brief introduction of its taxonomical history, and provides field ecological photos for identification and comparison. In addition, the possible introduction route of C. murale was analyzed, and its potential harm and invasive risks were briefly assessed. The iolinid mite Coccalicus clavatus Willmann, 1952 was collected during a survey from the soil of Gilanegharb, Kermanshah, Iran in 2022. This species was first described in the family Alycidae by Willmann in 1952 and then André and Uusitalo transferred it to the family Iolinidae in 2006, accompanied by transferring species from the genus Paratydaeolus to the genus Coccalicus. Some challenges about species characters of this mite are discussed in this paper and the synonymy of C. lukoschusi and C. clavatus is proposed. The genus consists of 12 species with clavate trichobothria, and is related to various habitats like soil, stored products, under barks, on leaves of different plants, and on birds. They have been reported from Europe, Antarctica and North America and this is the first record of the Coccalicus mites from Asia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper one new species namely Eumenes ferruapiculus sp. nov., from Yunnan (China) is described and illustrated in detail. In addition, E. affinissimus de Saussure, 1852, E. aquilonius Yamane, 1977, E. belli Giordani Soika, 1973, E. gibbosus Nguyen, 2015, and E. rubrofemoratus Giordani Soika, 1941 are newly recorded from China. Simple Summary: Schizoprymnus is a genus of braconid wasps distributed throughout the whole world except the Neotropical region. There are 126 extant species of Schizoprymnus, 22 of which are known from China (without new species described in this article). This paper describes and illustrates seven new species found in China. The species of the genus Schizoprymnus Förster, 1863 (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Brachistinae) from China are revised. Seven new species, namely S. carinatus Yan and Chen, sp. nov., S. glabratus Yan and Chen, sp. nov., S. liui Yan and Chen, sp. nov., S. parvidentatus Yan and van Achterberg, sp. nov., S. punctiscutellaris Yan and Chen, sp. nov., S. septentrionalis Yan and Chen, sp. nov., and S. subspinosus Yan and Chen, sp. nov. are described and illustrated. Based on the botanical explorations in Eastern Himalaya region of Xizang in China during the period 2020 to 2021, seven orchid species, Bulbophyllum gamblei, B. trongsaense, Dendrolirium ferrugineum, Taeniophyllum javanicum, Nervilia macroglossa, Trachoma rhopalorrhachis and Uncifera lancifolia, are reported as new records for China. Trachoma Garay is a newly recorded genus in China. Detailed descriptions and photographic illustrations of each species are provided in this paper to facilitate identification. Additionally, B. xizangense has been revised as a synonym for B. linzhiense. This research paper is based on living material belonging to the genus Euphaedra, collected over the last 10 years in Bangui, as well as a neighbouring South West area in Central African Republic (CAR). Goniothalamus sesquipedalis(Colebr. ex Wall.)Hook. f. & Thomson and G. peduncularis King & Prain are reported as two new records for the flora of China, the two species were found in Yingjiang County, Yunnan Province, China and conserved in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden. G. lii X.L. Hou & Y.M. Shui has been treated as synonym with G. yunnanensis W. T. Wang in Flora of China. Here, we clarified its taxonomical status and treated as a new synonym with G. peduncularis based on living plants observation, the type specimens and the literatures revision. G. sesquipedalis was previously known from India, Bangladesh and Myanmar, and G. peduncularis was only in Myanmar. In this paper, we update the description and illustrate them based on the herbarium specimens and living collections. In this paper, a total of five species of the genus Paraleptomenes Giordani Soika, 1970 is reported from China, including two new species and two newly recorded species. The two new species P. setaceus sp. nov. and P. transfoveolus sp. nov. are described and illustrated in detail. P. darugiriensis Kumar, Carpenter & Sharma, 2014 and P. nurseanus montanus Giordani Soika, 1994 are first recorded from China. Photos of the type specimen of P. kosempoensis (Schulthess, 1934) deposited in the American Museum of Natural History are provided. This paper presents new information on black fungus gnats (Sciaridae) based on field studies at seven localities in Iran. Five sciarid species from the genera Bradysia Winnertz, Corynoptera Winnertz and Lycoriella Frey were collected with Malaise traps, yellow sticky traps, sweep net and an aspirator between 2015 and 2021: Bradysia cellarum Frey, 1948; B. ocellaris (Comstock, 1882); B. tilicola (Loew, 1850); Corynoptera fatigans (Johannsen, 1912); Lycoriella sativae (Johannsen, 1912). All species are first records for the Sistan and Baluchestan province. Bradysia tilicola (Loew) is new to Iran and was recorded for the first time in the Middle East. This brings the number of known sciarid species from Iran to seven. For five species are given a short morphological diagnosis and the global distribution. In this paper, two new species of Eriborus Förster, 1869 (Ichneumonidae: Campopleginae) are described from the Afrotropical region: Eriborus elgonensis sp. n. from Kenya and Eriborus rubens sp. n. from South Africa. Eriborus pallipes (Brullé, 1846), a species known from Mauritius and Réunion, is reported from continental Africa (South Africa) for the first time, and Eriborus regulator (Seyrig, 1935), a species known only from Kenya, is firstly reported from Ethiopia. The hermit crabs of Singapore are relatively well studied in the last few years and 42 species have been reported so far. This paper deals with 31 species of hermit crabs from the families Diogenidae and Paguridae, of which two are described as new: Diogenes pisinnus, new species (Diogenidae), and Pagurus tenuilineatus, new species (Paguridae). Seven species are also newly recorded, Clibanarius ransoni Forest, 1953, Diogenes mixtus Lanchester, 1902, D. spinicarpus Rahayu & Forest, 1995, Pseudopaguristes monoporus (Morgan, 1987), P. hians (Henderson, 1888), Pagurus pitagsaleei McLaughlin, 2002, and P. hedleyi (Lanchester, 1902). Diogenes platyops Rahayu & Forest, 1995, previously synonymised with D. jubatus (Nobili, 1903) is resuscitated based on the live colouration and several morphological characters. Among the specimens identified from the family Diogenidae, the genus Diogenes was the most species-rich with 17 species, while the genera Clibanarius, Dardanus, Paguristes, and Pseudopaguristes were represented only by four, three, one, and two species, respectively. The present paper reports the first record of Diplotomma cedricola (Werner) Etayo in the eastern Mediterranean (Creta Island, Greece), the nearest record being rom Corsica (France). This lichen species was found near Iérapreta on decorticated Cupressus sempervirens L. and Pinus brutia Ten. trees. The Oriental pselaphine genus Horniella Raffray, 1905 currently contains 29 species. In this paper, six new species are described: H. nantouensis Zhang, Hu & Yin, sp. nov. and H. taiwanensis Zhang, Hu & Yin, sp. nov. from Taiwan, China; H. bifurca Zhang & Yin, sp. nov. and H. haucki Zhang & Yin, sp. nov. from Thailand; H. khasiensis Zhang & Yin, sp. nov. from northern India; and H. sabahensis Zhang & Yin, sp. nov. from eastern Malaysia. Species of the spider family Zodariidae occurring in Iran and Turkmenistan are reviewed. Seventeen species of three subfamilies are described as new to science: Lachesana kavirensis sp. nov. Based on literature, field work, collection, examination and identification of related specimens, the genus Tupistra Ker-Gawl. (Asparagaceae) is revised and three species are recognized in Guangxi, China. Among them, Tupistra cardinalis Aver., N. Tanaka & Son is a newly recorded species to China. In this paper, a detailed description of T. cardinalis, the photographs and geographical distribution of the genus in Guangxi and a key to all the species recognized in China are given. Chablisea Gauld and Dubois, 2006 is a small genus of subfamily Pimplinae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae). Pakistan has a very rich entomo fauna but only a few attempts were made to study this subfamily. Specimens were collected from different ecological zones of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan in 2018. In this paper, Chablisea imbiba and Chablisea condimenta are described for the first time from Pakistan. Morphological description is provided and elucidated with digital images. Circaea alpina is already known in the flora of Bulgaria from Yundola, Lokvensko Dere locality (West Rhodope Mts). However, information on it is based only on a single publication 70 years ago, not documented with any herbarium materials. The species has not been confirmed subsequently for Bulgaria and was evaluated as Data Deficient in the Red List of Bulgarian vascular plants. This paper offers new data on the second established locality of the species in Bulgaria, as well as some information on its ecology and conservation status in the country. The new locality was found comparatively far from the first one, in the Mt Etropolska Divide - part of Central Balkan Range. The discovered population was very small (about 30 individuals) and inhabited some silicate rocky walls. The new record requires reassessment of the conservation status of Circaea alpina in Bulgaria. In the present paper, Monolexis fuscicornis Förster, 1862 (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Doryctinae) is recorded in Turkey for the second time and it is documented as parasitoid of Trogoxylon impressum (Comolli, 1837) (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae), firstly pest T. impressum (Comolli, 1837) record on fig plants. This damage to the fig plant and nutritional behavior with exit holes was observed for the first time with this work. In additionally, this record was firstly reported in the Southeast Anatolia region of the pest. Harmful has the potential to cause significant damage to fig plants over the years. It is necessary to studies whether the natural enemy detected on the pest is under the pressure of this pest. In this study, M. fuscicornis Förster,1862 is recognised as larva-pupa parasitoid of T. impressum, important pest in fig tree plantations in Turkey. This interaction could have significant implication in biodiversity conservation and pest management. Hence, this new parasitoid-host interaction on fig plants has highly significance in pest management and biocontrol, because it is thought that the damage will increase in the future. A new record species of Ericaceae from Hunan ‘Rhododendron praevernum', and its floral morphology and leaf size are described and supplemented in this paper. The number of stamens in R. praevernum, which are remarkably variations, and differences in existing description references result in its difficulty and confusion to identify. Populations of Atriplex canescens var. gigantea were found in Lamta, Bouficha-Enfidha (central Tunisia), and Medenine (southern Tunisia). Literature data concerning the presence of this species in Tunisia are contradictory but now our data confirm its occurrence in the country. On the other hand, this variety is reported in the present paper for the first time both in Tunisia and in North Africa in general. Morphological characters and ecological data are presented, as well as notes about patterns of infraspecific variability of A. canescens. Nomenclatural notes on infraspecific names in A. canescens, as well as on the closely related species A. garrettii, are provided. The types of the names A. canescens var. laciniata, A. canescens var. macilenta, A. garrettii, Obione occidentalis var. angustifolia, and Pterochiton occidentale, that in earlier publications were erroneously considered to be holotypes, are in fact lectotypes (for most of taxa) under Art. 9.10 of the ICN. This paper reports the occurrence of Aphrogenia alba in Potiguar Basin, northeastern Brazil. The specimen was sampled at a depth of 180 m off the Rio Grande do Norte coast in the muddy bottom. This new record extends, after 37 years, the known geographic distribution of the species in the Brazilian coast, which had previously been recorded between Rio de Janeiro (Cabo de São Tomé and Ilha Grande) and Rio Grande do Sul. This paper aims to make a contribution to the mycobiota of Turkey and based on two hypogeous species belonging to the order Boletales, Sclerogaster candidus (Tul. & C.Tul.) Zeller & C.W.Dodge and Sclerogaster compactus (Tul. & C. Tul.) Sacc. The first taxon is reported as new record for the macromycota of Turkey from Tonya district of Trabzon province. New localities from İstanbul (Beykoz, Çekmeköy and Şile) province were given for the second one. The fauna of Iranian Scirtoidea (Coleoptera) is summarized in this paper. In total, three species of Clambidae (within the genus Clambus Fischer von Waldheim, 1821), one species of Eucinetidae (within single genus Bisaya Reitter, 1884), and 23 species of Scirtidae (within the genera Contacyphon Gozis, 1886, Elodes Latreille, 1797, Hydrocyphon Redtenbacher, 1858, Microcara C. Six newly recorded taxa, Chlamydomonas pertusa Chodat, Coenochloris pyrenoidosa Korshikov, Coenocystis tapasteana Komárek, Katagnymene accurata Geitler, Phormidium stagninum Anagnostidis, and Scytonema coactile Montagne ex Bornet & Flahault, were described from epipelic, epilithic, and epiphytic materials of the 17 high mountain lakes and a pond in Artabel Lakes Nature Park. Chin-wen Chen described 28 species and 10 subspecies of the velvet ant genus Smicromyrme Thomson, 1870 in his 1957 revision of the Mutillidae of China and Taiwan. Most of them were subsequently transferred to 12 genera of the tribes Smicromyrmini Bischoff, 1920 and Trogaspidiini Bischoff, 1920. Four species and one subspecies, however, are still included in Smicromyrme. In the present paper, type specimens of these species are surveyed. As a result, Sinotilla serpa columnata (Chen, 1957), comb. nov., stat. nov. (♂), Si. spinicauda (Chen, 1957), comb. nov. (♀), and Si. trisecta (Chen, 1957), comb. nov. (♂) are transferred from Smicromyrme. Smicromyrme bidenticulatus Chen, 1957 (♂♀) and Sm. triguttatus Mickel, 1933 (= Sm. triguttatus latisquamula Chen, 1957, syn. nov.) (♀) remain in Smicromyrme. The paper presents morphological and ecological characteristics of Prestauroneis tumida Levkov recorded for the first time in Poland. The diatom Prestauroneis tumida Levkov was found in the microbenthos of the Czarna Staszowska River (left tributary of the Vistula River, south-eastern Poland). This diatom species was present in the upper section of the river (sampling sites: 1 - Drogowle, 2 - Raków) where saprobic state varied from oligosaprobic to beta-mesosaprobic. Dimensions of the valve were as follows: length 30-44 µm, width 8-11 µm and 13-16 striae in 10 µm. Our research updates the morphological diversity data such as measurements of valves in terms of width and the number of striae. The accompanying species of Prestauroneis tumida belonged to the group of good water quality indicators, from oligo- to mesosaprobic ones. A filamentous cyanobacteria was observed in plankton samples from Hanabanilla Reservoir (Central Cuba). Based on optical microscopy study, the Cuban specimens correspond with Limnoraphis robusta (Parakutty) Komárek et al. (Oscillatoriales) known from Africa, Brazil, India, Guatemala and North America. According to the literature consulted this taxon was not previously reported from Cuban freshwaters. The colonies of the Cuban population form clusters not the typical mats described for the species. The specimens are also characterized by smaller cells and trichomes. The present paper offers description of the Cuban population and data about its taxonomy, geographical distribution and ecology. In total 34 species from 9 genera, Cartodere Thomson (1), Dienerella Reitter (2), Enicmus Thomson (7), Latridius Herbst (2), Corticaria Marsham (8), Corticarina Reitter (4), Cortinicara Johnson (1), Melanophthalma Motschulsky (7) and Migneauxia Jacquelin du Val (2) and two subfamilies Corticariinae and Latridiinae are listed as the fauna of Iran. Two species are endemic and four species, Corticarina minuta (Fabricius, 1792), Enicmus transversus Olivier, 1790, Melanophthalma (Melanophthalma) maura Motschulsky, 1866 and Migneauxia crassiuscula Aubé, 1850 are new records for Iran. The African cluster bug Agonoscelis puberula Stål, 1854 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomidae: Pentatominae: Agonoscelidini), an Afrotropical stink bug previously introduced to the New World, is recorded from Cuba for the first time. The specimen was collected in 1978 and represents the oldest record in America, suggesting the possibility of its introduction during the engagement of Cuban troops in conflicts in tropical Africa during the Cold War, most probably from Angola. Complete bibliography of the papers citing A. puberula, its distribution, host plants and status of name-bearing types are reviewed. The Persian Gulf is known as the westernmost distribution limit for sea snakes, except for Hydrophis platurus (Linnaeus, 1766) that reaches southeastern Africa. Previous identification guides for sea snakes of the Persian Gulf and its adjacent waters in the Gulf of Oman were based on old data and confined mostly to written descriptions. Therefore, a series of field surveys were carried out in 2013 and 2014 through Iranian coastal waters of both gulfs to provide a comprehensive sampling of sea snakes in the area. This paper presents an illustrated and updated checklist and identification tool for sea snakes in the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman, which are based on new material and a review of the literature. This checklist includes ten species of marine hydrophiines, of which one, Microcephalophis cantoris (Günther, 1864), is a new record for the area. Erpodium mangiferae(Erpodiaceae)was reported as a new record species in China from Guizhou Province. Erpodiaceae belongs to Orthotrichinales, Isobryales and consists of five genera and 24 species of Erpodiaceae mosses which are known all over the world. They are mainly distributed in the tropical regions and among them, three genera and four species are currently recorded in China. Two species of Erpodium was reported as synonyms of Solmsiella biseriata(Austin)Steere. and Venturiella sinensis(Vent.)C. Müll. One Erpodiaceae specimen was discovered by Professor Xiong YX and ect. in Red River canyon of Luodian Town of Guizhou Province and finally was identified as E. mangiferae C. Muell. which was the first record in China. At the last, Erpodiaceae included four genera and five species in china. In this paper,detail morphological characteristics and the specific line description of each part of the sample were provided by microscope observation and the distribution feature of it was discussed. In the terms of the references,E. mangiferae C. Muell.was mainly located in the south,mid,north and northeast of India. From the latitude and longitude, this discovery site, Red River Canyon of Luodian Town of Guizhou Province is similar at the latitude to the most north distribution Assam of India and apart from the Assam about 10° at the longitude or about 1 400 km in the distance. This species was familiar with Erpodium glaziovii in the appearance,but compared the size of the perichaetial leaves and foliage leaves and whether they has primordial utricle or not with it, E. mangiferae C.
