The article focuses on educational accountability in schools in Great Britain. The author agrees that teaching is an important job and accountability does matters. She comments on the idea of some sort of evidence or paper trail for every lesson one teaches, which has become exhausting and time consuming. She further observes that in trying hard to prove that the jobs are well done, the teachers are giving less time to do it well.
