Tesis Doctoral / Disertación del año 2017 en eltema Pedagogía - Otras, Nota: -,, Idioma: Español, Resumen: Esta tesis de doctorado, tuvo como principal objetivo, determinar en qué medida el uso pedagógico de las TIC influía en el aprendizaje significativo de los estudiantes de media técnica en gestión empresarial en Zipaquirá, Colombia, durante el año 2015. En términos metodológicos, el diseño de la investigación es Experimental, en un nivel cuasiexperimental con un enfoque y método de recolección de datos mixto; en ese sentido, las técnicas cuantitativas empleadas son pruebas -test- y encuestas -cuestionarios-; mientras que las técnicas cualitativas, se resumen a Observación participante general holística, grupos de enfoque y pruebas comparativas de salida. Se realizó una investigación profunda de antecedentes y estado del arte o marco teórico, tanto de la variable independiente -uso pedagógico de las TIC- como de la variable dependiente -aprendizaje significativo-. Además, se hizo un completo análisis que involucró un número de 258 fuentes, depuradas de un total de 600 aproximadamente. Es pertinente aclarar que tanto el investigador como los asesores, consideraron que el sustento teórico, debía ser bastante sólido para soportar la estructura de la investigación. Finalmente, se elaboró en detalle la fase de análisis de resultados, teniendo en cuenta las técnicas de recolección mencionadas, en las que se midieron las dimensiones de cada una de las variables. Al culminar dicha etapa se pudo evidenciar la influencia del uso pedagógico de las TIC sobre el aprendizaje significativo de los sujetos que conformaron la muestra.

As one of the experimental projects initiated by Springer Nature for AI book content generation, this book is the result of a collaboration between a human editor and an artificial intelligence algorithm to create a machine-generated literature overview of research articles analyzing the importance of reconfiguring, restructuring and re-evolving educational practices. Each chapter presents summaries of predefined themes and provides the reader with a basis for further exploration of the topic. The pandemic has led academicians, researchers, teachers, students, parents, and even the government to penetrate and understand the challenges that it has brought and the importance of reconfiguring, restructuring and re-evolving educational practices. Insight into the involvement of computer application and information technology can be a harbinger of a new education era. The short history of the International Working Conference on Educating Professionals for Network Centric Organizations is a good illustration of the tremendous rate of development of global networking, its impact and of its deep penetration into management of business, industty and administration. In 1996, when the theme and name of the conference had been set, there was yet no heavy use of networks in the fields just mentioned. However, it has been already established well enough to enable those with a visionary sense to feel that it will be an important subject and it could be an interesting theme for a conference to be held within two years. It seemed a risky decision at the time but it turned out to be very successful when conducted in 1998. It has been stated that'it took until 1997 for the business world to discover the Internet'. In less than two years, the Internet and the Intranets are a vital component for running major parts of the business world. This fast pace puts some pressure on writing papers and holding a conferenc- effort has to be made to have meaningful contents despite the changes. A time span of 9 months between writing a paper and having it published, seemed once to be very short, but it is not so any more when referring to a dynamic issue like global networking.

This post-conference volume contains a selection of the best papers presented at IE 2002, which took place in Vigo, Spain in November, 2002. IE 2002 was a joint conference on Computers & Education for the Spanish speaking community: the RIBIE Latin-American Congress on Informatics & Education (6th edition), the International Symposium on Computers & Education (4th edition), and the International Workshop on Educational Software (7th edition). These events have become a reference for Latin- American research and development groups, institutions and final users. Additionally, this conference hosted the 1st Galecia Workshop, organized by the Group for Advanced Learning Environments using Communication and Information Aids, a European Union MINERVA/SOCRATES thematic network on Computers & Education. This joint conference brought together international groups of researchers and practitioners to share experiences, making it possible to establish international relations to enable future collaborations in future initiatives at all levels. 130 papers were accepted for presentation from more than 300 submitted. Computers and Education. Towards a Lifelong Learning Society includes 23 re-revised papers selected among the presented papers. The selection was made according to the initial ranking provided by the reviewers, and an additional on-conference ranking process provided by session chairs. Invited authors were requested to revise their accepted contributions to IE2002 to include on-conference and post-conference reviewers/session chairs remarks, and to provide an English version of their papers.

INTRODUCTION In developing the call for papers for the 7th International Federation of Information Processors (IFIP) Women, Work and Computerization Conference, we sought to cast our net widely. We wanted to encourage presenters to think broadly about women, work and computerization. Towards this end, the programme committee developed a call for papers that, in its final form, requested paper submissions around four related themes. These are (1) Setting the Course: Taking Stock of Where We Are and Where We're Going; (2) Charting Undiscovered Terrain: Creating Models, Tools and Theories; (3) Navigating the Unknown: Sex, Time, Space and Place, and (4) Taking the Helm: Education and Pedagogy. Our overall conference theme,'Charting a Course to the Future'was inspired in part by Vancouver's geography, which is both coastal and mountainous. As such, navigation plays an important part in the lives of many as we seek to enjoy our environs. In addition, as the first Women, Work and Computerization conference of the new millennium, we hoped to encourage the broad community of scholars that has made past Women, Work and Computerization conferences a success to actively engage in imagining--and working towards-- a better future for women in relation to computers. The contributions to this volume are both a reflection of the hard work undertaken by many to improve the situation of women in relation to computerization, and a testament to how much work is yet to be done.

SECIII-Social, Ethical and Cognitive Issues of Informatics and ICT Welcome to the post-conference book of SECIII, the IFIP Open Conference on Social, Ethical and Cognitive Issues of Informatics and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) which took place from July 22-26, 2002 at the University of Dortmund, Germany, in co-operation with the German computer society (Gesellschaft flir Informatik). Unlike most international conferences, those organised within the IFIP education community are active events. This wasn't a dry academic conference - teachers, lecturers and curriculum experts, policy makers, researchers and manufacturers mingled and worked together to explore, reflect and discuss social, ethical and cognitive issues. The added value lies in what they, the participants, took away in new ideas for future research and practice, and in the new networks that were formed, both virtual and real. In addition to Keynote Addresses and Paper Presentations from international authors, there were Provocative Paper sessions, Case Studies, Focussed Debates and Creative Exchange sessions as well as professional Working Groups who debated particular themes. The Focussed Debate sessions helped to stimulate the sense of engagement among conference participants. A Market Place with follow-up Working Groups was a positive highlight and galvanised participants to produce interesting reports. These were presented to the conference on its last day. Cross-fertilisation between the papers generated some surprising and useful cross-referencing and a plethora of social, ethical and cognitive issues emerged in the discussions that followed the paper presentations.

The book that emerges from an IFIP Technical Committee World Conference on Computers in Education is complex, and this complexity lies in the nature of the event from which it emerges. Unlike a number of other major international conferences, those organised within the IFIP education community are active events. A WCCE is unique among major international conferences for the structure that deliberately ensures that all attendees are active participants in the development of the debate. In addition to the major paper presentations and discussion, from international authors, there are panel sessions and professional working groups who debate particular themes throughout the event. There is no doubt that this was not a dry academic conference - teachers, lecturers and experts, policy makers and researchers, leamers and manufacturers mingled and worked together to explore, reflect, discuss and plan for the future. The added value of this event was that we know that it will have an impact on future practice; networks will be formed, both virtual and real -ideas will change and new ones will emerge. Capturing the essence of this event is a challenge - this post-conference book has three parts. The first is the substantial number of theme papers.

This book is the outgrowth of a NATO Advanced Research Workshop, held in Milton Keynes (United Kingdom) in the summer of 1990. The workshop brought together about 30 world leaders in the use of advanced technologies in the teaching of mathematics and science. Many of these participants commented that the workshop was one of the more productive and exciting workshops that they had attended. It was not uncommon to see participants engaged in informal discussion far into the evenings and early mornings, long after formal sessions had ended. It is my hope that this book captures the substance and excitement of many of the ideas that were presented at the workshop. Indeed, the process by which this book has come about has given every opportunity for the best thinking to get reflected here. Participants wrote papers prior to the workshop. After the workshop, participants revised the papers at least once. In a few instances, three versions of papers were written. Some participants could not resist the urge to incorporate descriptions of some of the newer developments in their projects. The papers in this book demonstrate how technology is impacting our view of what should be taught, what can be taught, and how we should go about teaching in the various disciplines. As such, they offer great insight into the central issues of teaching and learning in a wide range of disciplines and across many grade levels (ranging from elementary school through undergraduate college education).

The virtual campus: Trends for higher education and trainingwas the theme of the IFIP Working Conference on which this book is based. lt was a joint event of Working Groups 3.3 and 3.6, Research and distance Education respectively, of IFIP Technical Committee 3 for Education. International dissemination and promotion of cooperation are IFIP aims that we particularly wanted to address. This is why we opened the event to non WG members and have established a virtual forum on the WEB that has been widely visited. The programme for the 27 to 29 November 97 in Madrid included invited speakers from leading institutions in the field, reviewed and selected contributions from an open call for papers, on-site demonstrations of!arge European projects and discussion sessions involving distant and present participants. The event attracted experts from 23 countries. About a hundred persons were involved, from all over the world. The spread and accessibility of information and communication technologies are rapidly changing p!'actices in learning and research activities, both in professional and academic settings. The number, variety and scale of experiences reported in recent publications shows a growing international involvement concerning not only small groups of researchers but also institutions fully committed in that direction.

This book is comprised of research-based chapters developed from selected full papers presented at the Pan-Hellenic and International Conference “ICT in Education”. It includes covering technical, pedagogical, organizational, instructional, as well as policy aspects of ICT in Education and e-Learning. Furthermore, as the editors are also involved in EU funded international research projects in the area of educational technology, we strongly focus on attracting submissions demonstrating the current state-of-the-art and most recent research outcomes of such projects.

The conference was held under the auspices of the International Federation for Information Processing (lFIP). Technical Committee 3 (TC3) of IFIP, through the activities of its seven Working Groups, focuses on different aspects of the impact of Information and Communication Technologies on Education. The conference that was the impetus for this publication was organised jointly by Working Group 3.1 (Secondary Education) and Working Group 3.3 (Research). In addition to the text of the papers delivered by the three keynote speakers, the book comprises a selection of the papers presented by delegates at the conference, along with reports of the discussions of Focus Groups working in each topic area. All of the papers presented at the conference were reviewed by members of the International Programme Committee and the National Organising Committee. Those selected for publication as chapters in this book have subsequently undergone an additional process of collaborative editing before qualifying for inclusion. It is our belief that these papers collectively present a very comprehensive overview of the concerns and developments in the use of Information and Communication Technologies that are currently of relevance to educators and educational policy makers across the globe.

This book is about the ways in which experiments can be employed in the context of research on learning technologies and child–computer interaction (CCI). It is directed at researchers, supporting them to employ experimental studies while increasing their quality and rigor. The book provides a complete and comprehensive description on how to design, implement, and report experiments, with a focus on and examples from CCI and learning technology research. The topics covered include an introduction to CCI and learning technologies as interdisciplinary fields of research, how to design educational interfaces and visualizations that support experimental studies, the advantages and disadvantages of a variety of experiments, methodological decisions in designing and conducting experiments (e.g. devising hypotheses and selecting measures), and the reporting of results. As well, a brief introduction on how contemporary advances in data science, artificial intelligence, and sensor data have impacted learning technology and CCI research is presented. The book details three important issues that a learning technology and CCI researcher needs to be aware of: the importance of the context, ethical considerations, and working with children. The motivation behind and emphasis of this book is helping prospective CCI and learning technology researchers (a) to evaluate the circumstances that favor (or do not favor) the use of experiments, (b) to make the necessary methodological decisions about the type and features of the experiment, (c) to design the necessary “artifacts” (e.g., prototype systems, interfaces, materials, and procedures), (d) to operationalize and conduct experimental procedures to minimize potential bias, and (e) to report the results of their studies for successful dissemination in top-tier venues (such as journals and conferences).This book is an open access publication.

This book presents the status quo of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Education, with a focus on China and the 17 Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs), including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia (the “17+1” cooperation mechanism, as an incubator for pragmatic trans-regions cooperation platform, created by China and the 17 CEECs). With recent advances in ICT in China and the CEECs, it has assumed increasingly important roles in education, including the improvement of the quality of teaching and learning, as well as the promotion of equity in education. The significant contribution of ICT in education is an enabler to achieving the goals of the “17+1 cooperation” mechanism between China and the CEECs, which has attracted considerable attention worldwide, given fresh impetus to cooperation between the two parties, and opened a new chapter in China-CEEC cooperation.The contributors, all of whom hail from these 18 countries, describe the state-of-the-art of ICT in education in their respective country, and focus on three major aspects, namely: the country profile, general status of education development, and ICT in education. In turn, leading experts in educational informatization research compare the situations in different countries. Taken together, the papers offer valuable insights for policymakers and educators on how to integrate ICT into educational processes, and on inter-regional cooperation with regard to ICT in education.

Evolution of Information Technology in Educational Management As the editors of this volume we are very happy to publish a selection of the papers that were presented at the eighth Conference of Working Group 3.7 of the International Federation for Information Processing which was held in July 2008. The focus of Working Group 3.7 is on ITEM: Information Technology in Educational Management (for more information, please visit our website http://item.wceruw.org/), and the theme of its 2008 conference was on the Evolution of Information Technology in Educational Management. Our Working Group started its activities (officially we were not an IFIP Working Group at that time) in 1994 in Israel, so it made sense to look at how ITEM has evolved over the years and to reflect on what its future may be. The conference took place in Darwin (northern Australia) which even during the Australian winter is a very pleasant location for having a conference. The town of Darwin was given its name by the Captain of the Beagle (the ship on which Darwin travelled when he made the investigations on which he based his Theory of Evolution) who came to the area and named the town after the giant of science he admired.

Originally published in 1982 Resource-Based Learning for Higher and Continuing Education was written with the needs in mind of educationists who are responsible for the support of resource-based learning in higher and continuing education.
