This book constitutes the refereed post-proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Networked Systems, NETYS 2016, held in Marrakech, Morocco, in May 2016. The 22 full papers and 11 short papers presented together with 19 poster abstracts were carefully reviewed and selected from 121 submissions.They report on best practices and novel algorithms, results and techniques on networked systems and cover topics such as multi-core architectures, concurrent and distributed algorithms, parallel/concurrent/distributed programming, distributed databases, cloud systems, networks, security, and formal verification.

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the 11th International Workshops on Coordination, Organizations, Institutions and Norms in Agent Systems, COIN 2015. The workshops were co-located with AAMAS 2015, held in Istanbul, Turkey, in May 2015, and with IJCAI 2015, held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in July 2015. This volume constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the 10th International Workshop on Agent-Oriented Software Engineering, AOSE 2009, held in Budapest, Hungary, in May 2009 as part of AAMAS 2009, the 8th International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems. The 10 revised full papers presented were carefully selected from numerous initial submissions during two rounds of reviewing and improvement. The papers have been organized into three sections on multi-agent organizations, concrete development techniques, and - one step higher - going beyond the concrete technique and proposing a development method for designing concrete types of systems. Johannes Buchmann is internationally recognized as one of the leading figures in areas of computational number theory, cryptography and information security. He has published numerous scientific papers and books spanning a very wide spectrum of interests; besides R&D he also fulfilled lots of administrative tasks for instance building up and directing his research group CDC at Darmstadt, but he also served as the Dean of the Department of Computer Science at TU Darmstadt and then went on to become Vice President of the university for six years (2001-2007). This festschrift, published in honor of Johannes Buchmann on the occasion of his 60th birthday, contains contributions by some of his colleagues, former students and friends. The papers give an overview of Johannes Buchmann's research interests, ranging from computational number theory and the hardness of cryptographic assumptions to more application-oriented topics such as privacy and hardware security. With this book we celebrate Johannes Buchmann's vision and achievements.

This volume contains the proceedings of the Third International DMTF Academic Alliance Workshop on Systems and Virtualization Management: Standards and the Cloud (SVM 2009) held in Wuhan, China, during September 22-23, 2009. The SVM 2009 proceedings are intended for use by students of systems and vir- alization management. The reader is presumed to have a basic knowledge of systems management technologies and standards at the level provided, for example, by the Common Information Model (CIM) standard for modeling management resources. The student of systems management will find here material that could be included in an advanced study program. These proceedings should furthermore allow students to acquire an appreciation of the breadth and variety of systems and virtualization m- agement research. The proceedings also illuminate related standards and research issues, answering questions such as: what are the implications of virtualization for distributed systems management, which advances in information models and protocols aid in managing virtualization, what new problems will we incur when managing virtualized systems and services, and how might management itself benefit from virtualization? Topics related to managing distributed systems, virtualization of distributed - sources/services and work in management standardization are also highlighted. There were 28 regular paper submissions. These went through an active review process, with each submission reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee. We also sought external reviews from experts in certain areas. All these inputs were used by the Program Committee in selecting a final program with 12 regular papers.

Since the mid 1980s, software agents and multi-agent systems have grown into a very active area of research and also commercial development activity. One of the limiting factors in industry take-up of agent-technology, however, is the lack of adequate software engineering support. The Agent-Oriented Software Engineering Workshop, AOSE, focuses on the synergies and cross fertilization between software engineering and agent research.This volume presents both thoroughly revised selected papers from the AOSE 2010 workshop held at AAMAS 2010 in Toronto, Canada in May 2010 as well as invited articles by leading researchers in the field. The papers cover a broad range of topics related to software engineering and agent-based systems, with particular attention to the integration of concepts and techniques from multi-agent systems with conventional engineering approaches on the one hand, and to the integration of agent-oriented software engineering and methodologies with conventional engineering processes on the other hand.

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Membrane Computing, CMC11, held in Jena, Germany, in August 2010 - continuing the fruitful tradition of 10 previous editions of the International Workshop on Membrane Computing (WMC).The 23 revised full papers presented together with 4 invited papers and the abstracts of 2 keynote lectures were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. The papers address in this volume cover all the main directions of research in membrane computing, ranging from theoretical topics in the mathematics and computer science to application issues. A special attention was paid to the interaction of membrane computing with biology and computer science, focusing both on the biological roots of membrane computing, on applications of membrane computing in biology and medicine, and on possible electronically based and bioinspired implementations.
