This paper presents a comprehensive review of the most recent papers and research trends in the fields of wind energy and artificial intelligence. Our study aims to guide future research by identifying the potential application and research areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in the wind energy sector and the knowledge gaps in this field. Artificial intelligence techniques offer significant benefits and advantages in many sub‐areas, such as increasing the efficiency of wind energy facilities, estimating energy production, optimizing operation and maintenance, providing security and control, data analysis, and management. Our research focuses on studies indexed in the Web of Science library on wind energy between 2000 and 2023 using sub‐branches of artificial intelligence techniques such as artificial neural networks, other machine learning methods, data mining, fuzzy logic, meta‐heuristics, and statistical methods. In this way, current methods and techniques in the literature are examined to produce more efficient, sustainable, and reliable wind energy, and the findings are discussed for future studies. This comprehensive evaluation is designed to be helpful to academics and specialists interested in acquiring a current and broad perspective on the types of uses of artificial intelligence in wind energy and seeking what research subjects are needed in this field. Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has brought new reconstruction opportunities for the intelligence of the advertisement industry through the help of AI technologies such as machine learning and deep learning. First, the relationship between AI and the attractiveness of green advertisements is investigated, and the influence of different AI technologies in green advertisements on consumers' perception of the attractiveness of green advertisements is summarized. Second, based on the green advertisement dissemination rate data set, the data visualization exploration is carried out, and the data deletion and coding processing are carried out aiming at different characteristic variables. Finally, according to the problems existing in the current green advertisement communication and the high‐dimensional and sparse characteristics of the communication rate data set. In this paper, based on Deep FM (Factorization Machine), Gradient Boost Decision Tree (GBDT) is added to assist the experiment, and the prediction performance of green advertising communication is tested. The results are as follows. (1) Different AI expressions in green advertisements will affect consumers' perception of the attractiveness of green advertisements. (2) The prediction ability of Deep FM model after feature engineering is better than that of data cleaning only. The prediction effect of the model is obviously improved. The purpose of this paper is to integrate green advertising media communication into the ecological concept of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, strengthen the political belief of ecological civilization construction, and conform to the communication trend of today's severe ecological situation. In order to explore the international competitiveness of China's agricultural product supply chain, this paper combines machine learning algorithms to optimize the data processing process of agricultural product supply chain, and proposes a data processing method for agricultural product supply chain based on the intra‐column rules and inter‐column rules. According to the problems of my country's agricultural product supply chain, this paper establishes a new agricultural product supply chain management model based on the various modules of the supply chain link, and constructs a corresponding intelligent analysis model. Moreover, this paper combines machine learning algorithms to study the improvement path of the international competitiveness of China's agricultural product supply chain, and builds an intelligent model to improve the international competitiveness of China's agricultural products. Finally, after constructing the model, this paper obtains the path to improve the international competitiveness of China's agricultural products through the simulation operation model, which also verifies the effectiveness of the intelligent algorithm of this paper from the side. Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) is presently one of the most popular techniques for analysing the dynamic states in brain images using various kinds of algorithms. From the last decade, there is an exponential rise in the use of the machine and deep learning algorithms of artificial intelligence for analysing fMRI data. However, it is a big challenge for every researcher to choose a suitable machine or deep learning algorithm for analysing fMRI data due to the availability of a large number of algorithms in the literature. It takes much time for each researcher to know about the various approaches and algorithms which are in use for fMRI data. This paper provides a review in a systematic manner for the present literature of fMRI data that makes use of the machine and deep learning algorithms. The major goals of this review paper are to (a) identify machine learning and deep learning research trends for the implementation of fMRI; (b) identify usage of Machine Learning Algorithms and deep learning in fMRI, and (c) help new researchers based on fMRI to put their new findings appropriately in existing domain of fMRI research. The results of this systematic review identified various fMRI studies and classified them based on fMRI types, mental diseases, use of machine learning and deep learning algorithms. The authors have provided the studies with the best performance of machine learning and deep learning algorithms used in fMRI. Machine learning has been facing significant challenges over the last years, much of which stem from the new characteristics of machine learning problems, such as learning from streaming data or incorporating human feedback into existing datasets and models. In these dynamic scenarios, data change over time and models must adapt. However, new data do not necessarily mean new patterns. The main goal of this paper is to devise a method to predict a model's performance metrics before it is trained, in order to decide whether it is worth it to train it or not. That is, will the model hold significantly better results than the current one? To address this issue, we propose the use of meta‐learning. Specifically, we evaluate two different meta‐models, one built for a specific machine learning problem, and another built based on many different problems, meant to be a generic meta‐model, applicable to virtually any problem. In this paper, we focus only on the prediction of the root mean square error (RMSE). Results show that it is possible to accurately predict the RMSE of future models, event in streaming scenarios. The reconfigurable capability of static random‐access memory (SRAM) field programmable gate array (FPGA) can be used for its fault self‐repair method. As a machine learning method, the genetic algorithm (GA) is an FPGA fault repair method that can be automatically executed on‐orbit without any ground support. However, the GA‐based fault repair method has disadvantages, such as the dependency on processors, the knowledge requirement for user designs in FPGAs, and the small size of repaired circuits. To address these issues, this paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the FPGA bitstream in the aerospace industry. An accurate on‐orbit fault location can be identified by bitstream copying and exhaustive test and the executed area of the GA can be reduced to one tile. In addition, the probability function of the algorithm is optimized, which converts floating‐point operations into integer arithmetic operations that are easily implemented in FPGAs without processors. The method is outstanding compared with existing ones, considering: (1) The size of repaired circuits is hundreds of times larger than those from other methods. (2) Its implementations are totally up to FPGAs' own logic, with no requirement for processors. (3) There is no knowledge requirement for user design. (4) It reaches the leading level with a success rate of 81%–93%. The method has been verified by various applications in XC7VX330T, which demonstrates its engineering practicability. In the past years, multimedia content has improved in realism and plausibility owing to the development of deep learning techniques, particularly the generative adversarial networks and variational auto‐encoders. Though digital content, especially digital movies shot from a certain viewpoint gives a true representation of reality, yet the ubiquitous usage of content manipulation techniques casts doubt on its veracity. Deepfaking an AI based tampering technique, is able to map facial and acoustic features of a source person onto the target with an intention to make target say or enact the things that has not happened in real. Numerous approaches have been proposed in the literature for detection of image and video deepfakes. With technological advancement, researchers have also started to examine audio deepfakes and ways to detect them. As there is currently no comprehensive overview of audio deepfake generation and detection techniques, this paper aims to provide a survey of the relevant literature in this area. Gesture recognition nowadays has grabbed the attention of researchers as they represent human behaviour in multiple practical ways. Amongst a variety of gestures available, hand gestures play an essential role in the field of human‐computer interaction when recognised efficiently in complex and dynamic environments. In this paper, we propose a dynamic hand gesture recognition system to recognise hand gestures appearing in different indoor and outdoor environments. Hand detection and tracking uses a two‐level system resulting in the formation of gesture trajectory in challenging conditions in which existing detection and tracking algorithms could not do so. A set of 45 features is provided as input to the various classification techniques. The redundancy problem has been reduced by selecting a set of optimum features using the analysis of variance method, which ranks the list of features. An incremental feature selection technique calculates recognition accuracy by selecting features according to rankings. This system provides an accuracy of 96.32% when used with machine learning and 97.5% when used with deep learning techniques. Recognition accuracy is calculated for various environments, including an extra hand, multiple persons in the video frame, and outdoor environment. All machine‐learning classifiers are combined using classifier combination to calculate the accuracy according to the majority‐voting rule. Medical data analysis with ML algorithms can improve patient outcomes in terms of both treatment and diagnosis. This paper investigates the numerous possibilities of ML in the medical industries, including radiology, pathology, genomics, and clinical decision‐making. The quality of management decisions is one of the main issues facing higher education institutions today. Strategic decisions taken by the higher education institutions affect policies, schemes, and actions that the institutions are considering. Machine learning is an emergent artificial intelligence field that utilizes different algorithms, analyses data, and delivers a better understanding of the data contained in a specific context. Hence, in this paper, data‐driven decision‐making model has been proposed based on artificial intelligence in colleges and universities. Student data, graduation rate and curriculum design have been analysed for administrative decision‐making in college or university based on the machine learning method. With the availability of huge quantities and high‐quality input training data, machine‐learning progressions can attain precise outcomes and enable informed decision‐making. The experimental findings show that the suggested model improves the outcome ratio of 90.72%, the performance ratio of 97.62%, prediction ratio of 96.35%, decision‐making level of 95.51%, accuracy ratio of 95.61%, an efficiency ratio of 98.14%, graduation rate of 85.86%, data security rate (95.61%) and error rate 33.21% compared to other methods. A smart and scalable system is required to schedule various machine learning applications to control pandemics like COVID‐19 using computing infrastructure provided by cloud and fog computing. This paper proposes a framework that considers the use case of smart office surveillance to monitor workplaces for detecting possible violations of COVID effectively. The proposed framework uses deep neural networks, fog computing and cloud computing to develop a scalable and time‐sensitive infrastructure that can detect two major violations: wearing a mask and maintaining a minimum distance of 6 feet between employees in the office environment. The proposed framework is developed with the vision to integrate multiple machine learning applications and handle the computing infrastructures for pandemic applications. The proposed framework can be used by application developers for the rapid development of new applications based on the requirements and do not worry about scheduling. The proposed framework is tested for two independent applications and performed better than the traditional cloud environment in terms of latency and response time. Sepsis is a severe life‐threatening disease, which is the body's extreme reverberation to any virus leading to failed organs, damaged tissue, or death. It requires accurate and efficient real‐time detection. Continuous and potent monitoring of patient health data can be useful in predicting the potential risks the patient might be exposed to, based on their recent history of medical records. Machine learning models have proven to be a significant approach in performing accurate and precise predictions, especially in the medical field. In this paper, a smart network with a long short term memory (LSTM) based model at its heart is proposed for early prediction of Sepsis for patients admitted in the ICU. The network operates on time series data and predicts the probability of a patient developing sepsis based on the historical medical data of the patient. It comprises Internet of Things based devices which have proven to be impactful in the areas of acquiring continuous and real‐time data in the healthcare field. In this paper, an architecture for early prediction and monitoring Sepsis with minimized latency through LSTM network is proposed by designing a decentralized prediction model in a fog‐based environment. The model had an accuracy of 95.1% after the last epoch with validation accuracy as 95%. The receiver operating characteristic curve area was reported as 0.864 for testing data with an accuracy of 95.1%. COVID‐19 is the disease evoked by a new breed of coronavirus called the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2). Recently, COVID‐19 has become a pandemic by infecting more than 152 million people in over 216 countries and territories. The exponential increase in the number of infections has rendered traditional diagnosis techniques inefficient. Therefore, many researchers have developed several intelligent techniques, such as deep learning (DL) and machine learning (ML), which can assist the healthcare sector in providing quick and precise COVID‐19 diagnosis. Therefore, this paper provides a comprehensive review of the most recent DL and ML techniques for COVID‐19 diagnosis. The studies are published from December 2019 until April 2021. In general, this paper includes more than 200 studies that have been carefully selected from several publishers, such as IEEE, Springer and Elsevier. We classify the research tracks into two categories: DL and ML and present COVID‐19 public datasets established and extracted from different countries. The measures used to evaluate diagnosis methods are comparatively analysed and proper discussion is provided. In conclusion, for COVID‐19 diagnosing and outbreak prediction, SVM is the most widely used machine learning mechanism, and CNN is the most widely used deep learning mechanism. Accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity are the most widely used measurements in previous studies. One of the useful knowledge representation tools, which can describe the joint probability distribution between some random variables with a graphical model and can be trained by a dataset, is the Bayesian network (BN). A BN is composed of a network structure and a conditional probability distribution table for each node. Discovering an optimal BN structure is an NP‐hard optimization problem that various meta‐heuristic algorithms are applied to solve this problem by researchers. The genetic algorithms, ant colony optimization, evolutionary programming, artificial bee colony, and bacterial foraging optimization are some of the meta‐heuristic methods to solve this problem using a dataset. Most of these methods are applying a scoring metric to generate the best network structure from a set of candidates. A Fixed Structure Learning Automata‐Based (FSLA‐B) algorithm is presented in this paper to solve the structure learning problem of BNs. There is a fixed structure learning automaton for each pair of vertices in the BN's graph structure in the proposed algorithm. The action of this automaton determines the presence and direction of an edge between the vertices. The proposed algorithm performs a guided search procedure using the FSLA and escapes from local optimums. Several datasets are utilised in this paper to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm. By performing various experiments, multiple meta‐heuristic algorithms are compared with the introduced new one. Recently, the term "Industry 4.0" has emerged to characterize several Information Technology and Communication (ICT) adoptions in production processes (e.g., Internet‐of‐Things, implementation of digital production support information technologies). Business Analytics is often used within the Industry 4.0, thus incorporating its data intelligence (e.g., statistical analysis, predictive modelling, optimization) expert system component. In this paper, we perform a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on the usage of Business Analytics within the Industry 4.0 concept, covering a selection of 169 papers obtained from six major scientific publication sources from 2010 to March 2020. The selected papers were first classified in three major types, namely, Practical Application, Reviews and Framework Proposal. Then, we analysed with more detail the practical application studies which were further divided into three main categories of the Gartner analytical maturity model, Descriptive Analytics, Predictive Analytics and Prescriptive Analytics. In particular, we characterized the distinct analytics studies in terms of the industry application and data context used, impact (in terms of their Technology Readiness Level) and selected data modelling method. With the promotion and development of oversized data technology, many data analysis platforms based on super large data storage and computing frameworks have emerged in the industry. While the platforms with oversized economic data analysis combined with machine learning models are still relatively lacking. And oversized data also brings a new problem, that is the security of economic development. It is an important and difficult task to analyse and detect risks from oversized economic data. Based on machine learning, data analysis, economic market and other multidisciplinary fields, this paper proposes a machine learning method, which is a genetic algorithm (GA) based feature selection method: FSGA. This method abstracts every possible feature selection result into an individual in GA, generates a population through genetic operation, and measures the merits of the individual through fitness. In addition, this paper has conducted multitudinous simulation experiments on the GA‐based FSGA method and the traditional LSTM data analysis method respectively. The accuracy rate and other indicators are obtained by comparing the training. The experimental results show that the GA‐based FSGA machine learning method has higher prediction accuracy when analysing oversized economic data. Malware developers install malware on mobile users' devices and steal their personal information without their knowledge. According to recent studies, it has been observed that malware developers are now targeting Android mobile devices. Researchers have examined the issues of detecting malware in these devices and proposed different methods and techniques. This study's main goal is to aid researchers in gaining a basic understanding of Android malware and its numerous detection methods. Earlier experiments that used machine learning to detect Android malware will be carefully reviewed in this paper. This in‐depth review article thoroughly examines the origins, evolution, and sustainability of Android malware detection. It offers an in‐depth literature review that includes the most recent approaches and research trends for detecting malware, from static analysis to dynamic analysis, machine learning, and deep learning. Additionally, we review current approaches' shortcomings and difficulties and suggest possible paths for further investigation. Machine learning algorithms have shown several advantages compared to humans, namely in terms of the scale of data that can be analysed, delivering high speed and precision. However, it is not always possible to understand how algorithms work. As a result of the complexity of some algorithms, users started to feel the need to ask for explanations, boosting the relevance of Explainable Artificial Intelligence. This field aims to explain and interpret models with the use of specific analytical methods that usually analyse how their predicted values and/or errors behave. While prediction analysis is widely studied, performance analysis has limitations for regression models. This paper proposes a rule‐based approach, Error Distribution Rules (EDRs), to uncover atypical error regions, while considering multivariate feature interactions without size restrictions. Extracting EDRs is a form of subgroup mining. EDRs are model agnostic and a drill‐down technique to evaluate regression models, which consider multivariate interactions between predictors. EDRs uncover regions of the input space with deviating performance providing an interpretable description of these regions. They can be regarded as a complementary tool to the standard reporting of the expected average predictive performance. Moreover, by providing interpretable descriptions of these specific regions, EDRs allow end users to understand the dangers of using regression tools for some specific cases that fall on these regions, thaṯ is, they improve the accountability of models. The performance of several models from different problems was studied, showing that our proposal allows the analysis of many situations and direct model comparison. In order to facilitate the examination of rules, two visualization tools based on boxplots and density plots were implemented. A network visualization tool is also provided to rapidly check interactions of every feature condition. An additional tool is provided by using a grid of boxplots, where comparison between quartiles of every distribution with a reference is performed. Based on this comparison, an extrapolation of counterfactual examples to regression was also implemented. A set of examples is described, including a setting where regression models performance is compared in detail using EDRs. Specifically, the error difference between two models in a dataset is studied by deriving rules highlighting regions of the input space where model performance difference is unexpected. The application of visual tools is illustrated using EDRs examples derived from public available datasets. Also, case studies illustrating the specialization of subgroups, identification of counter factual subgroups and detecting unanticipated complex models are presented. The misinformation problem affects the development of the society. Misleading content and unreliable information overwhelm social networks and media. In this context, the use of data visualizations to support news and stories is increasing. The use of misleading visualizations both intentionally or accidentally influence in the audience perceptions, which usually are not visualization and domain experts. Several factors influence o accurately tag a visualization as confusing or misleading. In this paper, we present a machine learning approach to detect if an information visualization can be potentially confusing and misunderstood based on the analytic task it tries to support. This approach is supported by fine‐grained features identified through domain engineering and meta modelling on the information visualization and dashboards domain. We automatically generated visualizations from a tri‐variate dataset through the software product line paradigm and manually labelled them to obtain a training dataset. The results support the viability of the proposal as a tool to support journalists, audience and society in general, not only to detect confusing visualizations, but also to select the visualization that supports a previous defined task according to the data domain. Predicting stock price movements remains a major challenge in time series analysis. Despite extensive research on various machine learning techniques, few models have consistently achieved success in automated stock trading. One of the main challenges in stock price forecasting is that the optimal model changes over time due to market dynamics. This paper aims to predict stock prices using automated reinforcement learning algorithms and to analyse their efficiency compared with conventional methods. We automate DQN models and their variants, known for their adaptability, by continuously retraining them using recent data to capture market dynamics. We demonstrate that our dynamic models improve the accuracy of predicting the directions of various DAX stocks from 50.00% to approximately 60.00%, compared with conventional methods. Nowadays, transfer learning has shown promising results in many applications. However, most deep transfer learning methods such as parameter sharing and fine‐tuning are still suffering from the lack of parameters transmission strategy. In this paper, we propose a new optimization model for parameter‐based transfer learning in convolutional neural networks named STP‐CNN. Indeed, we propose a Lasso transfer model supported by a regularization term that controls transferability. Moreover, we opt for the proximal gradient descent method to solve the proposed model. The suggested technique allows, under certain conditions, to control exactly which parameters, in each convolutional layer of the source network, which will be used directly or adjusted in the target network. Paraphrase generation is a fundamental natural language processing (NLP) task that refers to the process of generating a well‐formed and coherent output sentence that exhibits both syntactic and/or lexical diversity from the input sentence, while simultaneously ensuring that the semantic similarity between the two sentences is preserved. However, the availability of high‐quality paraphrase datasets has been limited, particularly for machine‐generated sentences. In this paper, we present ParaGPT, a new paraphrase dataset of 81,000 machine‐generated sentence pairs, including 27,000 reference sentences (ChatGPT‐generated sentences), and 81,000 paraphrases obtained by using three different large language models (LLMs): ChatGPT, GPT‐3, and T5. We used ChatGPT to generate 27,000 sentences that cover a diverse array of topics and sentence structures, thus providing diverse inputs for the models. In addition, we evaluated the quality of the generated paraphrases using various automatic evaluation metrics. Furthermore, we provide insights into the strengths and drawbacks of each LLM in generating paraphrases by conducting a comparative analysis of the paraphrasing performance of the three LLMs. According to our findings, ChatGPT's performance, as per the evaluation metrics provided, was deemed impressive and commendable, owing to its higher‐than‐average scores for semantic similarity, which implies a higher degree of similarity between the generated paraphrase and the reference sentence, and its relatively lower scores for syntactic diversity, indicating a greater diversity of syntactic structures in the generated paraphrase. ParaGPT is a valuable resource for researchers working on NLP tasks like paraphrasing, text simplification, and text generation. Recent advancements in deep learning generative models have raised concerns as they can create highly convincing counterfeit images and videos. This poses a threat to people's integrity and can lead to social instability. To address this issue, there is a pressing need to develop new computational models that can efficiently detect forged content and alert users to potential image and video manipulations. This paper presents a comprehensive review of recent studies for deepfake content detection using deep learning‐based approaches. We aim to broaden the state‐of‐the‐art research by systematically reviewing the different categories of fake content detection. Furthermore, we report the advantages and drawbacks of the examined works, and prescribe several future directions towards the issues and shortcomings still unsolved on deepfake detection. This main intention of this paper is to adopt a new disease detection model for plant leaves. The proposed model involves several steps such as pre‐processing, leaf segmentation, abnormality segmentation, feature extraction and detection. Image scaling and contrast enhancement are performed during the pre‐processing phase. Once the pre‐processing is done, the segmentation phase starts with leaf segmentation by binary thresholding method and abnormality segmentation by K‐means clustering. Further, the local binary pattern and grey‐level co‐occurrence matrix features are extracted and a dimensionality reduced technique called principle component analysis is determined. As the main novelty, the weighted feature extraction is performed, in which the weight functions are optimized by the self‐adaptive deer hunting optimization (SA‐DHOA). Another contribution of this paper is to implement a hybrid classifier for disease detection. Here, the extracted weighted features are subjected to a support vector machine, and the abnormality segmented image is subjected to convolutional neural network (CNN), which is a deep learning algorithm that can learn the features automatically. Here, the same SA‐DHOA is used to improve the performance of CNN, which is termed as SA‐DHOA‐SCNN. Malaria is considered one of the deadliest diseases in today's world, which causes thousands of deaths per year. The parasites responsible for malaria are scientifically known as Plasmodium, which infects the red blood cells in human beings. Diagnosis of malaria requires identification and manual counting of parasitized cells in microscopic blood smears by medical practitioners. Its diagnostic accuracy is primarily affected by extensive scale screening due to the unavailability of resources. State of the art Computer‐Aided Diagnostic techniques based on deep learning algorithms such as CNNs, which perform an end to end feature extraction and classification, have widely contributed to various image recognition tasks. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of Mosquito‐Net, a custom made convnet to classify the infected and uninfected blood smears for malaria diagnosis. The CADx system can be deployed on IoT and mobile devices due to its fewer parameters and computation power, making it wildly preferable for diagnosis in remote and rural areas that lack medical facilities. Statistical analysis demonstrates that the proposed model achieves greater accuracy than the previous SOTA architectures for malaria diagnosis despite being 10 times lighter in parameters and inference time. The mortality rate of cardiovascular disease is increasing at an alarming rate and affects more than 31% of the world's population. The increment in obesity, strain, high blood pressure, concern, high body mass index, depression, high glucose level, and high cholesterol are the key factors that increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Coronary heart and cerebrovascular diseases cause 80% of cardiovascular diseases with a higher mortality rate, out of which Coronary Artery Heart Disease (CAHD) causes 25% of the fatality. CAHD fatality can be minimized by early diagnosis. However, due to common symptoms of the non‐fatal disease, CAHD is often ignored by the patients and the health care team. In this paper, the authors comprehensively analysed and compared the two supervised Machine Learning models, i.e., Logistic Regression (LR) and XGBoost, for the early diagnosis of CAHD. The models are applied to a benchmark dataset (Statlog heart disease dataset). The model's parameters are also optimized by performing the Random SearchCV hyperparameter tuning. The comprehensive study is performed on both non‐optimized and optimized models as well as compared to the other well‐known existing models. After parametric optimization, both the models exhibit higher accuracy, i.e., LR 87.78% and XGBoost 91.85%, compared to the non‐optimized techniques, i.e., LR = 83.33% and XGBoost = 77.77%. A phoneme is perceptually the smallest distinct sound unit distinguished among words in a particular language. Every language has its own set of phonemes, and all the words are ordered sequences of phonemes. Therefore, phoneme recognition is essential to automatic speech recognition (ASR) systems. Phonemes of a language can be classified together using a single machine learning (ML) model through the direct classification (also known as the baseline or flat classification) approach. However, it is observed that the performance of such phoneme recognition degrades with the increase in the number of phoneme classes. The challenge is pronounced in languages with a larger number of phoneme classes, like Hindi, which has 48 phonemes. In this paper, we propose a speaker‐independent hierarchical classification approach for 33 Hindi‐Devanagari consonants/phonemes using cepstral features with ML techniques like support vector machine (SVM), random forest (RF) and fully connected deep neural network (DNN). In this hierarchical approach, a given phoneme is classified into successive subgroups until the particular phoneme class is identified. To perform the classification task, a binary or multi‐class classifier is invoked for each internal (non‐leaf) node in the hierarchy tree. Our model identified pairs of Optimal Feature Sets (based on mutual information) and the best suitable ML classifier for each internal decision node in the hierarchy using 10‐fold cross‐validation to help in efficient classification. Our proposed hierarchical model leads to better accuracy and 57% improved performance for phoneme recognition compared with the non‐hierarchical, that is, the direct classification approach. Ever since Ether is launched as a digital currency, its rise has been rapid. It is currently the second most valuable digital currency in the world. There are more than 1 million transactions happening on the Ethereum network every day, and this number is expected to continue to increase. Due to the increasing number of transactions, fraudulent transactions have also increased, which has resulted in a large amount of money being lost and has also destroyed the livelihoods of many individuals. Due to their similarity to valid transactions, it is extremely difficult to distinguish between them. Additionally, Ethereum's pseudo‐anonymity adds to the difficulty of identifying the parties involved. Since there are millions of transactions every day, it would be difficult to manually verify each one. Therefore, a mechanism for validating these transactions is needed. In this context, this paper proposes a novel approach to detecting fraudulent accounts associated with these transactions by implementing machine learning algorithms among the given set of transactions. We propose a framework for creating a stacking classifier by combining several standalone classification algorithms and creating a meta‐learner based on the output of each base algorithm. The algorithms include Logistic Regression, Naive Bayes, Decision Trees, Random Forests, AdaBoosts, KNNs, SVMs, and Gradient Boosts. As a result of combining these algorithms, a powerful classifier with the ability to detect fraudulent transactions. A variety of machine learning models were trained and evaluated on the test set using various metrics. Based on the results of the individual algorithm the Random Forest algorithm achieved the highest accuracy of 95.47%, followed by Gradient Boosting at 94.61% which is an ensemble algorithm using the boosting technique. The Stacking classifier that combines Multinomial Naive Bayes and Random Forest as the base learners and logistic regression as the Meta learner achieved the highest accuracy of 97.18% with an F1 score of 97.02%. Based on the results of all the stacking models developed, it is concluded that algorithms tend to perform better when combined properly. Background: The efficiency of conventional English teaching quality evaluation is comparatively small, and evaluation statistics are challenging. To investigate the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in teacher teaching assessment, a machine learning algorithm is proposed to create a teaching evaluation model suitable for the current educational model to assist colleges and universities in overcoming existing teaching challenges. Objectives: The proposed Machine learning‐based Gaussian process model (MLGPM) improves the student's language skills. The proposed model uses Gaussian mixed model to express the circulation features of samples and enhances the support vector machine. Therefore, this paper suggests an active learning algorithm that, in association with Gaussian mixed model and sparse Bayesian learning, strategically chooses and labels samples to construct a classifier that syndicates the distribution characteristics of the samples. As a result, the accuracy of a considered quality index for English classrooms is verified, and the quality and control of English as a foreign language can be enhanced. Results: The experiment results show that the model presented in this study is effective and beneficial when assessing the efficiency of teaching in universities and analyzing big data sets. Conclusion: The simulation analysis with student performance improvement in English teaching quality using machine learning high fluency rate of 95.3, high accuracy ratio of 98.1%, improve vocabulary prediction ratio of 94.6%, improve passage prediction ratio of 92.7%, enhance learning rate of 95.2%, reduce the error rate of 24.1%, F1‐score of 91.5% and assessment score of 92.1% when compared with other methods. In recent past, emerging technology, such as AI has revolutionized progress and advancement of traffic management solutions in context of smart cities. This paper describes a novel approach of using 3D colour‐texture based feature for image detection on public datasets of Chinese traffic sign research database (TSRD) and Mapillary image database. The implementation of 3D colour texture feature for traffic sign detection is evaluated using artificial neural network and multiple other machine learning algorithms as classifier for image detection purposes. Both datasets used in our experiments are considered among most diverse traffic signage datasets globally with annotations of almost all classes. Image datasets have been publicly made available to researchers for academic purposes. For classification of traffic sign images on Chinese TSRD and Mapillary datasets, the result outcome from back‐propagation neural network (NN) classifier outperforms all other and produced best results and under multiple ML algorithms, support vector machines (SVM) cubic has best results. For classification of traffic sign images on Mapillary dataset, the result outcome from rational quadratic Gaussian process regression has best results. Also, the comparisons of results with other similar novel works have also been discussed. The proposed approach outperformed the previous experiments as observed through comparative analysis performed on both datasets. In this paper, we present a hybrid approach for credit scoring, and the classification performance of this approach is compared with 4 base learners in machine learning. A large credit default swap dataset covering the period from 2006 to 2016 is used to build classifiers and test their performances. The results from this empirical study indicate that the bagging ensemble method can substantially improve individual base learners such as decision tree, multilayer perceptron, and k‐nearest neighbours. The performance of support vector machine does not change after applying bagging ensemble. With technological advancements, much data is being captured by sensors, smartphones, wearable devices, and so forth. These vast datasets are stored in data centres and utilized to forge data‐driven models for the condition monitoring of infrastructures and systems through future data mining tasks. However, these datasets often surpass the processing capabilities of traditional information systems and methodologies due to their significant size. Additionally, not all samples within these datasets contribute valuable information during the model training phase, leading to inefficiencies. The processing and training of Machine Learning algorithms become time‐consuming, and storing all the data demands excessive space, contributing to the Big Data challenge. In this paper, we propose two novel techniques to reduce large time‐series datasets into more compact versions without undermining the predictive performance of the resulting models. These methods also aim to decrease the time required for training the models and the storage space needed for the condensed datasets. We evaluated our techniques on five public datasets, employing three Machine Learning algorithms: Holt‐Winters, SARIMA, and LSTM. The outcomes indicate that for most of the datasets examined, our techniques maintain, and in several instances enhance, the forecasting accuracy of the models. The rapid advancement of the Internet and digital payments has transformed the landscape of financial transactions, leading to both technological progress and an alarming rise in cybercrime. This study addresses the critical issue of financial fraud detection in the era of digital payments, focusing on enhancing operational risk frameworks to mitigate the increasing threats. The objective is to improve the predictive performance of fraud detection systems using machine learning techniques. The methodology involves a comprehensive data preprocessing and model creation process, including one‐hot encoding, feature selection, sampling, standardization, and tokenization. Six machine learning models are employed for fraud detection, and their hyperparameters are optimized. Evaluation metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1‐score are used to assess model performance. Results reveal that XGBoost and Random Forest outperform other models, achieving a balance between false positives and false negatives. Engagement has been defined as an attitude toward work, as a positive, satisfying, work‐related state of mind characterized by high levels of vigour, dedication, and absorption. Both its definition and its assessment have been controversial; however, new methods for its assessment, including artificial intelligence (AI), have been introduced in recent years. Therefore, this research aims to determine the state of the art of AI in the study of engagement. To this end, we conducted a systematic review in accordance with PRISMA to analyse the publications to date on the use of AI for the analysis of engagement. The search, carried out in six databases, was filtered, and 15 papers were finally analysed. The results show that AI has been used mainly to assess and predict engagement levels, as well as to understand the relationships between engagement and other variables. The most commonly used AI techniques are machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP), and all publications use structured and unstructured data, mainly from self‐report instruments, social networks, and datasets. The accuracy of the models varies from 22% to 87%, and its main benefit has been to help both managers and HR staff understand employee engagement, although it has also contributed to research. Most of the articles have been published since 2015, and the geography has been global, with publications predominantly in India and the US. In conclusion, this study highlights the state of the art in AI for the study of engagement and concludes that the number of publications is increasing, indicating that this is possibly a new field or area of research in which important advances can be made in the study of engagement through new and novel techniques. This paper describes a novel method for detecting child malnutrition based on artificial intelligence and facial photography. Estimates of severe and moderate acute malnutrition in children are critical for rapid emergency responses. However, the two traditional measurement methods, mid‐upper arm circumference (MUAC) and weight‐for‐height (WFH), are impractical in conflict and catastrophic disaster situations. They require well‐trained enumerators, cumbersome equipment, and close supervision. The Method for Extremely Rapid Observation of Nutritional Status (MERON) addresses the problem, using simple facial photographs. Facial features are extracted to predict Body Mass Index (BMI) in adults and Weight for Height Z Score (WFHZ) in children under five. MERON correctly predicts adult BMI classification with 78% accuracy. A variant of the model, trained on a sample of 3167 children in Kenya, successfully classified 60% of cases. On most measures, MERON was easier and more culturally acceptable to use than the traditional measurement methods. Machine Learning and Data Mining algorithms are used extensively to enhance the performance of Intrusion Detection Systems. The number of training instances and the dimensionality of data are crucial factors affecting the performance of the model built during the training of any supervised learning algorithms. A sufficient proportion of instances having relevant features from all classes of attacks and normal traffic are considered most desirable while building the classification model that classifies the network traffic into attack and normal. This paper proposes a methodology to improve the accuracy of the model by giving importance to the relevant features that can contribute to model building. The feature selection using correlation‐based and information gain‐based techniques during training and testing contributes much to the detection of stealthier attacks and minority attacks. Then the features of the less detected attacks are identified as the second phase of the filter that is used to improve the performance. The relevant features of stealthy attacks are identified based on the correlation of corresponding features of the attack and normal data as the attacks are made stealthy mostly by making it resemble the normal traffic. Finally, the attacks that are rarely found in the training data are oversampled to improve their detection. CICIDS 2017 data set is employed as it comprises stealthier attacks generated using modern tools. NSL KDD data set is also used for evaluation to compare the proposed work with existing literature as it is used in most of the available literature. Creating a comprehensive and standard kind of content is becoming an unavoidable and crucial problem in the medical process as a result of the massive amounts of fragmented data created in many sectors. Approach: The purpose of this study is to employ NLP‐based deep learning algorithms for text summary that perform well on linguistic text summarization data, and then modify/adapt these for biomedical domain‐specific text summarization. This paper provides an approach developed in‐house for condensing ill‐punctuated or unpunctuated discussion transcripts into more intelligible summaries, which combines topic modelling and phrase selection with punctuation restorations. For autonomous synthesis of medical reports from biomedical transcripts, this research proposes using an end‐to‐end summarization technique, Deep Dense Long Short Term Memory Network (LSTM), followed by Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Results: Extensive testing, examination, and comparing have demonstrated that this summarizer works well for medical transcript summarization. The suggested approach achieved an average ROUGE score of 93.5% using a single document summary. Furthermore, by comparing new techniques to previous ones, the utility and accuracy of novel strategies would be shown. The crucial part of the software development cycle is software maintenance. The demands included in the software management are fault fixes and request to change or bring a new feature. If priority is not given to these demands, then it may lead to customer dissatisfaction, inefficient planning, and software failure as well. Therefore, it is important to study the severity of the bug reports to maintain the efficiency of the software. Various research has been conducted in the past to predict the severity of the paper using text mining focusing only on the content of the bug reports. The sentiment of the user while reporting a bug also plays a vital role. In this study, we will be focusing on two aspects, that is, sentiment and content to improve the prediction. We propose a prediction model based on LDA to study the content aspect and emotion analysis to study the sentiment aspect. The model is validated on the datasets collected from the Eclipse project using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The results show that the CNN model effectively utilizes the content and sentiment aspect of the data to handle the severity prediction. CNN has weight sharing feature that decreases the number of parameters used for training. It also improves generalization and overfitting is avoided The Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F‐measure are improved when both aspects are taken into account rather than considering only content. This paper describes a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) approach that won Phase 1 of the Real Robot Challenge (RRC) 2021, and then extends this method to a more difficult manipulation task. The RRC consisted of using a TriFinger robot to manipulate a cube along a specified positional trajectory, but with no requirement for the cube to have any specific orientation. We used a relatively simple reward function, a combination of a goal‐based sparse reward and a distance reward, in conjunction with Hindsight Experience Replay (HER) to guide the learning of the DRL agent (Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient [DDPG]). Our approach allowed our agents to acquire dexterous robotic manipulation strategies in simulation. These strategies were then deployed on the real robot and outperformed all other competition submissions, including those using more traditional robotic control techniques, in the final evaluation stage of the RRC. Here we extend this method, by modifying the task of Phase 1 of the RRC to require the robot to maintain the cube in a particular orientation, while the cube is moved along the required positional trajectory. The requirement to also orient the cube makes the agent less able to learn the task through blind exploration due to increased problem complexity. To circumvent this issue, we make novel use of a Knowledge Transfer (KT) technique that allows the strategies learned by the agent in the original task (which was agnostic to cube orientation) to be transferred to this task (where orientation matters). KT allowed the agent to learn and perform the extended task in the simulator, which improved the average positional deviation from 0.134 to 0.02 m, and average orientation deviation from 142° to 76° during evaluation. Machine learning tools for analysing lubricating oil data have enabled better information in the condition based maintenance (CBM) approach to the process of diagnosing and predicting failures in diesel‐powered vehicle fleets. With the increase in the number of sensors inserted in vehicles, it is possible for companies to stockpile large quantities of information in real time. As such, the development of data‐driven tools will enable accurate identification of the level of wear of a system, evolving CBM into a more reliable and dynamic approach. Following this type of data‐based analysis focusing on determining the wear of systems and equipment, this paper presents an intelligent system for assessing the condition of lubricating oil in automotive diesel engines. To this end, we analyse the use of raw data obtained from the sensors installed in the car and evaluate in conjunction with the insertion of engineered features designed the best way to determine the operating state of the oils. The results presented in this analysis show that to explain 90% of the variation in the original data only the variables kinematic viscosity, dynamic viscosity, engine oil temperature and OSF_v3 are needed. After evaluating the quality of the variables, we conducted an experimental study to analyse the performance of various machine learning algorithms, taking into account the number of features as input data. The results show that the proposed system has the ability to identify the operating conditions of lubricating oil using seven variables as input to a model based on gradient boosting, obtaining a recall result of 93%, precision of 96% and F1‐score of 94%. We conducted a set of additional studies to understand how different subsets of variables affected the performance of the models, and the results show that the best combination includes information regarding the engine speed, coolant and oil temperature, oil pressure, the oil stress factor (OSF_v3), kinematic viscosity, and the dynamic viscosity. Due to the high arithmetic complexity and scalability challenges of deep learning, there is a critical need to shift research focus towards energy efficiency. Tsetlin Machines (TMs) are a recent approach to machine learning (ML) that has demonstrated significantly reduced energy compared to neural networks alike, while providing comparable accuracy on several benchmarks. However, TMs rely heavily on energy‐costly random number generation to stochastically guide a team of Tsetlin Automata (TA) in TM learning. In this paper, we propose a novel finite‐state learning automaton that can replace the TA in the TM, for increased determinism. The new automaton uses multi‐step deterministic state jumps to reinforce sub‐patterns, without resorting to randomization. A determinism parameter d finely controls trading off the energy consumption of random number generation, against randomization for increased accuracy. Randomization is controlled by flipping a coin before every d'th state jump, ignoring the state jump on tails. For example, d=1 makes every update random and d=∞ makes the automaton completely deterministic. Both theoretically and empirically, we establish that the proposed automaton converges to the optimal action almost surely. Further, used together with the TM, only substantial degrees of determinism reduce accuracy. Energy‐wise, random number generation constitutes switching energy consumption of the TM, saving up to 11 mW power for larger datasets with high d values. The detection of mathematical expressions is a prerequisite step for the digitisation of scientific documents. Many different multistage approaches have been proposed for the detection of expressions in document images, that is, page segmentation and expression detection. However, the detection accuracy of such methods still needs improvement owing to errors in the page segmentation of complex documents. This paper presents an end‐to‐end framework for mathematical expression detection in scientific document images without requiring optical character recognition (OCR) or document analysis techniques applied in conventional methods. The novelty of this paper is twofold. First, because document images are usually in binary form, the direct use of these images, which lack texture information as input for detection networks, may lead to an incorrect detection. Therefore, we propose the application of a distance transform to obtain a discriminating and meaningful representation of mathematical expressions in document images. Second, the transformed images are fed into the faster region with a convolutional neural network (Faster R‐CNN) optimized to improve the accuracy of the detection. The proposed framework was tested on two benchmark data sets (Marmot and GTDB). Compared with the original Faster R‐CNN, the proposed network improves the accuracies of detection of isolated and inline expressions by 5.09% and 3.40%, respectfully, on the Marmot data set, whereas those on the GTDB data set are improved by 4.04% and 4.55%. This paper plans to develop an intelligent super resolution model with the linkage of Wavelet lifting scheme and Deep learning algorithm. Before initiating the resolution procedure, the entire HR images are converted into Low Resolution (LR) images using bicubic interpolation‐based downsampling and upsampling. Further, the Wavelet lifting scheme helps to generate the four subbands of each image like LR wavelet Sub‐Bands for LR images, and High Resolution (HR) wavelet Sub‐Bands for HR images. The residual image is generated by taking the difference between the LR wavelet Sub‐Bands and HR wavelet Sub‐Bands images. The proposed model involves two main phases: Training phase and Testing. The training phase trains the residual image of all images by Deep Convolutional Neural Network with LR wavelet Sub‐Bands as input and residual image as target. On the other hand, in testing phase, the LR wavelet Sub‐Bands query image is subjected to Deep Convolutional Neural Network, which outputs the concerned residual image. This generated residual image is summed with LR wavelet Sub‐Bands image, followed by inverse wavelet lifting scheme to obtain the final super resolution image. The main contribution of this paper is to improve the conventional Deep Convolutional Neural Network by optimizing the number of hidden layer, and hidden neurons using modified Whale Optimization Algorithm called Average Fitness Enabled Whale Optimization Algorithm by considering the objective of maximizing the Peak Signal‐to‐Noise Ratio. Both optimism and pessimism are intricately intertwined with an individual's inherent personality traits and people of all personality types can exhibit a wide range of attitudes and behaviours, including levels of optimism and pessimism. This paper undertakes a comprehensive analysis of optimistic and pessimistic tendencies present within Hindi textual data, employing transformer‐based models. The research represents a pioneering effort to define and establish an interaction between the personality and attitude chakras within the realm of human psychology. Introducing an innovative “Chakra” system to illustrate complex interrelationships within human psychology, this work aligns the Myers‐Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality traits with optimistic and pessimistic attitudes, enriching our understanding of emotional projection in text. The study employs meticulously fine‐tuned transformer models—specifically mBERT, XLM‐RoBERTa, IndicBERT, mDeBERTa and a novel stacked mDeBERTa—trained on the novel Hindi dataset ‘मनोभाव’ (pronounced as Manobhav). Remarkably, the proposed Stacked mDeBERTa model outperforms others, recording an accuracy of 0.7785 along with elevated precision, recall, and F1 score values. Notably, its ROC AUC score of 0.7226 underlines its robustness in distinguishing between positive and negative emotional attitudes. The main objective of this paper is to analyse whether the Transformer neural network, which has become one of the most influential algorithms in Artificial Intelligence over the last few years, exhibits predictive capabilities for high‐frequency Forex data. The prediction task is to classify short‐term Forex movements for six currency pairs and five different time intervals from 60 to 720 min. We find that the Transformer exhibits high predictive power in the context of intraday Forex trading. This performance is slightly better than for the carefully selected benchmark – ResNet‐LSTM, which currently is a state‐of‐the‐art algorithm. Since intraday Forex trading based on deep learning models is largely unexplored, we offer insight on which currency pair and time interval are amenable to devising a profitable trading strategy. We also show that high predictive accuracy can be misleading in real world trading for short time intervals, as models trained on OHLC data tend to report the highest accuracy when the spread cost is the highest. This renders assessment based on typical machine learning metrics overly optimistic. Therefore, it is critical to backtest frequent intraday Forex trading strategies with realistic cost assumptions, which is rarely the case in empirical literature. Lastly, sensitivity analysis shows that the length of the time interval used for training does not play a critical role in the Transformer's predictive capabilities, whereas features derived from technical analysis are essential. Chronic kidney disease is a global health issue that affects millions of people worldwide and causes significant social, economic, and medical issues. Several automated detection systems can diagnose chronic kidney disease. This paper proposes the recursive random forest feature selection (RFFS) based ensemble learning algorithm to diagnose chronic kidney diseases (CKD). In the decision point, decision tree‐based classifiers are used. The accuracy and kappa scores are used to determine the classification results. According to the results of the proposed algorithm's performance analyses, the ensemble learning classifiers outperform other classifiers for classifying CKD. The proposed RFFS algorithm achieves 6%–40% improved prediction accuracy using the feature selection algorithm. Further, it attains 15%–39% of reduced mean square error. The performance metrics, precision, sensitivity, specificity, f1 score, and Jaccard scores, have been analysed and show greater results for the RFFS algorithm.
